JAXB support in OSB

Hi,
I wanted to know if I can use JAXB in OSB(as a Java Callout). Is there any default support provided in OSB?
If not, will it work if I import JAXB libraries on weblogic server and use them in Java Callout?
Thanks
Abhi

Look for JAXB support in WebLogic instead. If there isn't any support for JAXB, then you can still add your library to WebLogic classpath.

  • Extending Oracle BI SE One domain to support Oracle OSB

    Hello,
does anybody know whether it is possible to extend Oracle BI SE One domain to support Oracle OSB?
I haven't found any note, nor blog where it is mentioned or if somebody has ever tried it.
    Thanks!

If you have a weblogic domain any BI components configured then you cannot use this domain to extend any other BI component. However you can use the same domain to extend with any other non BI Oracle product.

Not the JAXB 1.0 included with JDeveloper 10.1.3.
JAXB 2.0 included with JDeveloper 11g supports xs:any.

  • URGENT: SOAP 1.1 and 1.2 Support in OSB Proxy

    Gurus,
My OSB proxy services should support SOAP 1.1 and 1.2 versions. However, WSDL based Proxy service has only one endpoint. (This is the limitation as per an Oracle document.) This endpoint is one which you select while creating a proxy service from WSDL.
Now, as a result, the service is not able to serve both the 1.1 and 1.2 requests.
As a workaround, I've created two proxy services from the same WSDL (which has both the endpoints/bindings).
And, i publish two endpoints to the user.
Is there any way to trick the proxy WSDL (effective WSDL) to have two ports (endpoints) in it ?
If not, what are the best practices to tackle this situation?
Thanks in advance for your help on this.
    With regards-
    Ashish

    Hi Ashish,
I don't think there's a way to trick the proxy but, as you know, soap 1.1 and 1.2 have slightly different envelope formats (e.g. fault handling) so you'll probably need some kind of specific message processing or transformation, sometime in the future, for handling both soap 1.1 and soap 1.2 requests. This makes your approach correct, in my opinion.
Do you have a local proxy for handling service logic?
I think you should follow something similar to this: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/dev.1111/e15866/local.htm#i1075772.
Your minimum configuration - 3 proxies:
SOAP 1.1 Proxy, SOAP 1.2 proxy and a Local Proxy
    Using this approach:
*1 -* The Local Proxy should handle Business Service calls, additional logic, etc. You'll probably have to configure this as "Any XML" proxy and use some kind of internal message format (your own schema) because, if you configure it as "Any SOAP", you'll be forced to choose between SOAP 1.1 and SOAP 1.2.
    - routes responses from Business Services to the correct SOAP 1.x Proxy
    *2 -* For each SOAP 1.x Proxy
    - receives soap 1.x messages and transforms them to some kind of internal schema -> routes them to the Local Proxy for processing
    - transforms any kind of responses coming from the Local Proxy back to soap 1.x format and routes responses to the client
I hope this can be of any help to you,

    Filipe

  • AS1 and AS2 support in OSB

Does OSB support AS1(S/MIME over SMTP) and AS2(S/MIME over HTTP) protocols?

AS1 and AS2 are message exchange protocols. OSB is a service bus and hence used for transport protocol (like HTTP, JMS, AQ, SMTP etc) mediation. AS1 and AS2 are supported protocols in Oracle B2B (part of Oracle SOA Suite in 11g) which is a gateway component used for B2B communication.

  • Maximum input payload size(for an XML file) supported by OSB

    Hey Everyone,
I wanted to know, what is the maximum payload size that OSB can handle.
The requirement is to pass XML files as input to OSB and insert the data of the XML files in the oracle staging tables. The OSB will host all the .jca, wsdl, xml, xml schema and other files required to perform the operation.
The hurdle is to understand, what is the maximum XML file size limit, that OSB can allow to pass through without breaking.
I did some test runs and got the following output,
Size of the XML file:  OSB successfully read a file of size, 3176kb but failed for a file of size 3922kb, so the OSB breakpoint occurs somewhere between 3-4 MB, as per the test runs.
Range of number of Lines of XML:  102995 to 126787, since OSB was able to consume a file with lines (102995) and size 3176kb but broke for a file with number of lines (126787) and size 3922kb.
Request to please share your views on the test runs regarding the OSB breakpoint and also kindly share the results, if the same test has been performed at your end.
    Thank you very much.

    can any one help?
even if it works, will jaxb compile the referenced schema (album.xsd) to java classes every time i use it (in other schemas' that are using it)?
    Thank's,
    Regards,
    Yair Ogen

Does any body know if I can configure Jaxb so it won't
compile the imported schema every time I have a schema
that uses it?It would be nice to be able to do this but I haven't seen how. You can't have two schemas that both import another common schema and have them both share the base schema types. One way I have gotten around this is to make a single common document with all the types we use but I'm not very happy with that.
The other way is to first generate the types for album.xsd and then add lines to album.xsd telling it to use those types instead of generating them each time. It solves your issue but is less than perfect, I'll admit.

  • RSS support in OSB 10gR3?

Does the latest version of the ESB support RSS? Can it consume an RSS feed? Can it create an RSS feed? From reading the documentation, it appears this doesn't exist but I'm not sure I'm looking in the right place for it.
    Cheers,
    Scott

    Hi Scott,
Oracle Service Bus does not have out of the box support for RSS as we would typically expect an RSS client to consume the RSS feed and then send a notification to the bus. However, we do have support for XML over HTTP and so it would be easy enough to create an RSS feed from the bus.
It would be interesting to more fully understand your use case, so if you are happy to do so, could you a more detailed description to this discussion?
    Thanks,
    Chris
