JAXB2.0, any annotation to define

Hi, there:
As a newbie to jaxb2.0, my question is any way I can define those xml schema "restriction" in my java code by using some annotation?
For example, I can use @XmlEnum in my java class for something like:
<xs:restriction base="xs:string"/>
         <xs:enumeration value="CLUBS"/>
         .........................................So, the question is any annotation to represent other restrictions (ex. minInclusive, maxInclusive)? like
<xs:restriction base="xs:integer">
    <xs:minInclusive value="0"/>
    <xs:maxInclusive value="120"/>
  </xs:restriction>Or, if no such annotation in jaxb2.0, then how can I define such restrictions in my java code?
Highly appreciated if any help or suggestion. Thanks a lot in advance.
David

I'm not sure what you are trying to do or ask. The org.hibernate.annotations.* imports are not JPA, so if you are asking which jar might contain them, you will need to ask on a Hibernate product site.
If you are trying to map to a view, I would suggest you just use the "DEPARTMENTVIEW" like you would a table, avoiding the need for a subselect and allowing you to remain within JPA.

  • Portlet Preferences - Any way to define templates or bulk load ?

    Hi,
    I have a question regarding portlet preferences. We have need to store metadata
    about a portlet and this metadata is the same for all portlets inside the portlet.
    As we will have in excess of 300 portlets which is expected to rise to around
    2000 - 3000 in the future, it will be incredibly tedious for the portal admin
    to create the preferences for each one (for such items as portlet owner, portlet
    administrator etc)
    Is there a template facility (a bit like user profiles) where we can set up the
    definition with fields and values etc, and apply to a portlet. Or failing that
    a bulk load capability where we can just populate the DB using the portlet_definition_id
    or portlet_instance_id in the preference tables ?
    We are on SP2 by the way.
    TIA
    Martin

    Thanks Subbu,
    That worked.....can you keep us updated on any movement with the SPI as this is
    something that of us very definite importance to us.....
    Thanks for the quick response

    Martin,
    For some reason in Workshop i dont seem to be able to add preferencesto the portlet
    i am creating. For example i create a JSP and then right click 'GeneratePortlet'
    and it creates me the .portlet file. But when i try to access the preferences
    menu it just gives me 'Remove' and the list is empty. It does not offerthe 'Create'
    Option. I must be missing somethingTry dragging "Preference" from the palette.
    Also even if we could do it at create time in workshop these will bethe same
    for all portlets in the Portal and thus this would need to be doneevery time
    manually and that would leave room for mistakes and people missingfields etc.
    We are looking at a very large number of portlets...
    What would be really nice is to define a 'preferences' property setas user profile
    etc and then
    just apply it...thus not leaving room for errors etc.....
    At this time, the API does not support this scenario. We're considering
    an SPI for a future release, and we'll make sure this scenario gets
    addressed.

    Any thoughts.....?

    Martin,
    Have you considered specifying preferences for each portlet while
    creating the portlet in WLW? The recommended approach is to create
    preferences while creating the portlet as the portlet developer ismore
    likely to know what preferences are required and the implications.If
    the default values entered by the portlet developer are meaningful,
    portal admins won't have to change these values.

  • Is any reason to define FQDN name different as Net-bios name?

    hello friends
    i create an active directory on windows server some days ago, one friend told me FQDN name should be different as Net bios name,
    he told me for some authentication services (for example for authentication in a hardware firewall) this names should be diffrent
    is any reason for that and is it true?
    tanks

    Richard Mueller:
    my question is if ma FQDN is Contoso.com , may i use a diffrenent NetBios name as
    Contoso?
    for example ma NetBios be  cont
    That's fine. I worked at a place where the DNS FQDN domain name was company.com, but the NetBIOS name was WestChester (for the office city location). So yes, you can choose a completely different name that has nothing to do with or even resembles the FQDN
    name. The only issue is it may cause confusion.
    I would preferably make it similar, such as Contoso.com and CONTOSO. It's just a preference, that's it.
    Just to be crystal clear:
    There are absolutely NO technical reasons to make it the same or different.
    There may be a business reason to make it different, such as my previous employer's choice and example I provided above, but there are no technical reasons to make it the same or different.

  • Any possibility to define variable limits for alarms

    Hi,
    I need to define variable LO and HI limits for alarms. That is, these LO and HI limits should be linked to different tags.
    In the tag configuration editor, we can only give constant values to the LO and HI limit fields. Is there a way to associate tags to these fields, instead of constant values?

    Hi helene.
    My implementation to this was to use the tag Attribute VI's and have a seperate program that checks that the current HI or LO value with that of a tag storing my HI set point and another Tag Storing my LO Set point. If there is a diffrence in value, the appropriate alarm level gets changed to match the current value.
    How are you changing your values? I have a slider on the front panel that triggers and event on change to update the tag.
    However a point you may or may not have noticed is that if you change the LO or HI value using the Tag Attribute VI's on one computer, this change is not carried across to others. You will have to programatically run the update program mentioned above continuously on every computer running the system
    This is a very large mine field that you will have to take extra care of. Think about what would happen on startup of the various clients, will there be a point when your computers fall out of sink with each other? will the current alarm set points be reatined when the computer is shut down and restarted?
    I sent a very long time coming up with some solutions for all these problems. Which way you chose to do this depends on:
    Number of computers
    Frequency of limits changes
    Number of tags you wich to change
    Whether you system is server client or multi server based.
    Let me know If you want to know more.

    My guess is that you deployed an ejb without bean in it. when you have an ejb module, be sure you have at least one bean present.
    Are you sure you have implementend some beans? Or did you do this only in the web module?
    Try adding an @Stateless bean doing nothing in you ejb module, redeploy and let me know if that works

  • Is there a portable way to define POJO webservice (JAX-WS 2.0)in Java EE 5?

    I would like to use JAX-WS 2.0 annotations to define POJO web services in Java EE 5 server. Implementing the service goes nicely, until I try to deploy it to the app server. It seems this step is application server specific: for Sun implementation I need sun-jaxws.xml, for Geronimo I need to define the service implementation as a servlet in web.xml (http://cwiki.apache.org/GMOxDOC20/simple-web-service-with-jax-ws.html) etc.
    Is it really so that if I want to support generic Java EE 5 servers, I can't use JAX-WS 2.0, because deployment is server specific? Of course I could provide Sun implementation with the application, and use it explicitly, but I would prefer not to bundle any Java EE components with my application.

    I found out that deployment is specified in different JSR (109). I quickly browsed through that specification and found out that basically everything except @WebService annotation is optional. So should a Java EE 5 compliant server publish the service automatically, just by adding that @WebService annotation? That didn't seem to be the case at least in Geronimo 2.0.2.

  • WLServlet annotation not processed

    Hi,
    I've deployed a war file with a servlet in a file in the classes directory containing a WLServlet annotation. WebLogic doesn't map the servlet on the path.
    I tried the same war file where I configured the mapping via the web.xml and that gives me a successful result.
    How can I enable the scanning of the WLServlet annotations?
    WebLogic version: WebLogic Server Version: 10.3.4.0
    Structure of the WAR file:
    + META-INF
    |---+ MANIFEST.MF
    + WEB-INF
    |---+ web.xml (no servlet mapping inside the web.xml)
    |---+ classes
    |-------+ foo/foo/MyServlet.class (containing WLServlet annotation)
    + index.jsp

    I have an example of this working on WLS 10.3.4 so it should work.
    @WLServlet(name = "SimpleServlet", mapping = {"/simple", "/simpleservlet", "/ss"})
    public class SimpleServlet extends HttpServlet {
    }This is available here as a WAR file for you to try: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/15657493/WLS-WLServet-Test.war*
    When you deploy it to WLS 10.3.4, you can access it one of:
    http://localhost:7001/WLS-WLServet-Test/simple
    http://localhost:7001/WLS-WLServet-Test/simpleservlet
    http://localhost:7001/WLS-WLServet-Test/ss
    The page will show you the request URI that was used to access the servlet, such as:
    Servlet serviced: /WLS-WLServet-Test/simpleservlet
    The scanning should happen by default. What do you have in your web.xml file, is the metadata-complete attribute set to true by any chance?
    >
    The metadata-complete attribute defines whether this
         deployment descriptor and other related deployment
         descriptors for this module (e.g., web service
         descriptors) are complete, or whether the class
         files available to this module and packaged with
         this application should be examined for annotations
         that specify deployment information.
         If metadata-complete is set to "true", the deployment
         tool must ignore any annotations that specify deployment
         information, which might be present in the class files
         of the application.
         If metadata-complete is not specified or is set to
         "false", the deployment tool must examine the class
         files of the application for annotations, as
         specified by the specifications.

  • How to define header and footer in ALV

    Hi All,
    I have created one Report program where i have to display data in both alv grid and alv list display.
    Reqt are:
    1. The report output must contain standard header & footer.
    2. The header must display the count of the materials displayed, the user name & system date.
    3. The footer must display the name of the SAP system, Operating System of Application Server, Current GUI Status
         & Release Status of SAP System.
    I am using Fm REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY and REUSE_ALV_GRID_DSIPLAY.
    this top of page n end of page is part of slis_t_events only.
    In list display FM, i m not getting any option to define top of page form.
    Any pointers on this.
    Thanks,
    Mamta

    hii Mamta..
    Try this .it will solve TOP-OF-PAGE problem. Pass TOP_OF_PAGE under FM REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY
    eg.CALL FUNCTION 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY'
      EXPORTING
        IS_LAYOUT     = ALV_LAYOUT
        I_CALLBACK_PROGRAM                = SY_REPID

  • How to define BPC architecture?

    Hi All,
    Iu2019m a BI and BPS consultant and Iu2019m doing a prototype for evaluating BPC for Sales Planning and I need some help.
    Process flow as:
    a.     Extract sales from COPA (amount and quantities);
    b.     Copy Actual to Budget version;
    c.     Create new customers;
    d.     Delete old customers;
    e.     Calculate the seasonality of sales & and adjust budget;
    f.     Load & adjust prices
    g.     Load & adjust sales costs
    h.     Calculate Net Revenue
    i.     Calculate costs
    My file format is as given below:
    Account|Category|Time|RptCurrency|Entity|Customer|Product|Amount|Quantity
    Questions:
    1- There is a specific KF to load quantity or I should use another account? If so how do I load the unit measures?
    2- I tried to load my file in u201CEuru201D but I received an error. The upload only finished OK when I changed the currency to u201CLCu201D. There is any trick?
    3- In customer dimension, I add the sales org. attribute but it didnu2019t work out because a customer can have more than one sales org. There is any way to define a compound key for a dimension?
    4- Where can I find relevant documentation about BPC?
    Thanks for reading my post.
    Regards, Fred

    Hi Shyam!
    Thanks for your answer.
    1. I followed your suggestion and load the data twice (one for amount and another for quantity) but I still have de unit measure problem (KG, TON, etc.). Any suggestion about how to handle this situation?
    2. Yes is easy for me to convert LC in any other currency after the data load. But the problem is that I must load data in multiple currencies (EUR, USD)u2026
    3. No it didnu2019t work out. Let me give you an example:
    Customer       Sales Org            Distribution Channel
    100001      AX01          1
    100001      AX02          2
    When I tried to process dimension I received the following message u201CMember ID must be   uniqueu201D. Any other idea about how to define the compound key Customer and Sales Org?
    Regards,
    Frederico

  • OBIEE 11g Map Visualization Error - basemap is defined in spatial meta-data

    Hi All,
    I have installed OBIEE 11g successfully on my Desktop Machine, deployed the Sample Applications regarding Mapviewer and its working fine. I have seen all the Maps and they are running fine in fact they are editable and i can easily do anything with those Maps but,
    The issue is that when i am going to create a new Report and try to integrate Map on it then it shows an error as display below;
    A basemap is required to render a map. Please ensure that atleast one basemap is defined in the spatial meta-data
    Error Details
    Error Codes: EMGUNIA3
    Location: saw.views.evc.activate, saw.httpserver.processrequest, saw.rpc.server.responder, saw.rpc.server, saw.rpc.server.handleConnection, saw.rpc.server.dispatch, saw.threadpool,
    saw.threadpool, saw.threads
    I have also followed this link ( http://erpthings.blogspot.com/2011/01/obiee-11g-inbuilt-mapping-and-spatial.html ) but it is also stuck on the same error at the end.
    I didn't understand the problem why its giving an error like this while the Sample Application worked fine so, if there is any way to define a basemap in spatial meta-data plz guide me OR
    Is there any way to integrate Map with OBIEE 11g ?
    Cheers,
    Masood.

    This question has been solved!
    Basically you need to ensure the database schema where the data source (Navteq) has been imported must have the privilege "Create Type"
    This comes from the Oracle manual extract as shown below:
    1.4.4.3 Creating MapViewer Array Types, if Necessary
    For each database schema that it connects to, MapViewer checks for the existence of
    the following SQL array types that support array-type binding variables that might
    exist in some predefined themes:
    ■ MV_STRINGLIST
    ■ MV_NUMBERLIST
    ■ MV_DATELIST
    If these types do not exist, MapViewer attempts to create them in the database schema
    associated with the MapViewer data source. However, if the user associated with that
    schema does not have sufficient privileges to create new types, a privileged user must
    create the types by connecting to the data source schema and entering the following
    statements:
    CREATE or REPLACE type MV_STRINGLIST as TABLE of VARCHAR2(1000);
    CREATE or REPLACE type MV_NUMBERLIST as TABLE of NUMBER;
    CREATE or REPLACE type MV_DATELIST as TABLE of DATE;
    Cheers.

  • Printing PDF files from Preview without annotations

    I've annotated a bunch of PDFs in preview, but I would like to print them out without any annotations. Is this possible?
    Thanks!

    Print the originals, sans markup. Or, if you didn't save them with a different name, remove the annotations from a copy, and then print.
