JAXRPC Problem

I am trying to run the simple JAXRPC example from the Java Web Services Tutorial. Everything works as expected until I come to run the client. Any ideas what is going on?
ant run
Buildfile: build.xml
run:
[echo] Running the hello.HelloClient program....

My My,
What a nice error.
ANT does take care of the class path 'but' for that u need to set the Directory paths in proper order. Chk the build.properties file under the 'common' folder.
Else u can do this java -classpath .;<all the paths:>;dist/hello-client.jar hello.HelloClient
If this doesn't work yr problem is of my type. It Doesn't need debigging but reinstalling.
I had faced the same problem where No matter what class paths i provide HelloClient.main was not to be found also one of the QName classes. I had been doing a lot of Java installing and downloading s/w related to java probably It had corrupted the Java VM I reinstalled Java and everything worked fine..........
.....Hope it wrks.......................|ABY|

Yes, that's true, but I think that happens because you deploy the web service in a non public area as your home directory. If you put it in a public area, your service should have 'running' status.
    Pedro Salazar.
This is not a solution but I am posting this because
this might help in guessing the cause of the error.
I had similar problem. When I installed JWSDP, I
copied the hello example from the tutorial example to
my home directory. I also copied the "common"
directory which is required by the build.xml.
    (common/target.xml is included in build.xml).
Then I ran "ant build" and "ant install". I made
required change in the "build.properties" in the
"common" directory. But after this when I do "ant
list" it shows me all the services running but this
    hello server as stopped.
Then I copied the war file of the service (generated
using "ant package") to the <JWSDP_HOME>/webapps. Then
"ant list" showed me the hello service as running. I
don't know why this is happening.

You are correct, there is a bug logged with JDeveloper 9.0.3 that with JDK 1.4, Web services are not working. See:
    http://otn.oracle.com/products/jdev/htdocs/readme_903.html#ws0
(while not exactly your situation, I suspect it is related). We are close to releasing JDeveloper 9.0.4 preview which will support JDK 1.4 and should resolve your problem.
In terms of your second problem, there is a similar bug logged but could I ask you to try again with JDK 1.3.1 to see if a similar issue occurs?
As for your third question, this is the default behaviour for Oracle9iAS Web Services - int gets mapped as Integer. See:
    http://otn.oracle.com/docs/products/ias/doc_library/903doc_otn/generic.903/b10004/javaservices.htm#1033406
    Hope this helps.

  • Problem testing JAXRPC based web services

    Hello,
I have a JAXRPC based web service. The application was easily tested using earlier versions of sun java system application server.
But when I am trying to test it using sun java Application Server 9 it is showing an error.
Do I need to change some configurations?
    Hope to receive solutions.
    Shalmoli

    Hi Eoin,
I had the exact problem. Struggled a lot and still couldn't figure out. I think its a problem in 8.1. Not sure. Might want to check with the support guys. If you are struck with 8.1 and still couldn't figure out, AXIS would be a option for you. Just an FYI. Thats what we are doing now.
Luckily for us we are migrating to 9.1 and I just completed a POC for doc oriented webservices in 9.1. It works like a charm.
    Thanks and good luck

  • Problem in JAXRPC Webservice - Urgent

    This is Santhakumar.
I have developed and deployed a JAXRPC webservice in Tomcat5.0 with JWSDP1.5.
WSDL is created and it works fine for normal java remote methods.
But when I write a code for to connect a live server ( EPP-Extensible Provisioning Protocol TCP server ), I could not invoke the service.
    I get the following error:

I tried in many ways to resolve it.But still I could not find out any solutions.
Is there any security settings to be handled for that?
The method works fine and the server is connected  when I execute it from the normal java class in command prompt.
But when implementing that method in JAXRPC webservice only I found this problem.
Please share your ideas with me to resolve this problem.I am at urgent.
    Thanks in advance.

[#|2006-05-17T23:34:59.562+0530|WARNING|sun-appserver-pe8.2|javax.enterprise.tools.launcher|_ThreadID=10;|LAUNCHER005:Spaces in your PATH have been detected. The PATH must be consistently formated (e.g. C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0\bin; ) or the Appserver may not be able to start and/or stop.  Mixed quoted spaces in your PATH can cause problems, so the launcher will remove all double quotes before invoking the process. The most reliable solution would be to remove all spaces from your path before starting the Appservers components.  |#]

It seems that something is still running on port 8080 - you should double check that your Apache server is indeed shut down and maybe reboot the system.
Alternatively, you could change the value of this (HTTP) port in <installdir>/domains/domain1/config/domain.xml file.

  • Problem with Application server

    Hi All,
I'm facing problem with Application Server. When I installed the appserver and started it.. It started with the message " server has been started and some services will run at back". But when I tried stopping it using the stop default server i got the message that there is no server running but when i saw in the task manager i cud see two process running 1) appserver.exe and 2) imqbroker(something).exe so eventually I had to kill it.
Now when I'm trying to start the application server again its giving me this message "CLI156 Could not start the domain domain1" and below is the log file attached if its of any help

    Thanks in advance
    Ajay

The VERY FIRST message in the server log gives you a hint as to what the problem might be. The server thinks you have spaces in your PATH to the application server. Therefore, the solution is to kill the server however you need to (task manager, whatever) and then reinstall it in a path that doesn't contain spaces. That's the low-hanging fruit here; if that doesn't work, well, then we will have to find some other solution.

  • Problem in invoking a secure weblogic web service from javaws client

    Hi all,
the situation is this: there is a secure web service (Wssp1.2-2007-Wss1.1-X509-Basic256.xml policy) which is accessed by a stand-alone remote web service client (swing-enabled) which is initiated via java web start. You'll probably wondering why this is a special case. Let me elaborate...
The first step was to develop the service and the client. This wasn't much of a trouble, since the documentation was very good apart from creating a ClientBSTCredentialProvider object at the client side. The documentation should explicitly state that the sixth argument, that of the server certificate, is required! In any case, the first step was a success and the invocation was encrypted and signed at the message level.
The second step was to create a stand-alone remote client, without any local weblogic installation. That was a bit of a problem, since wlfullclient.jar or wseeclient.jar or weblogic.jar were not enough. I should note that the client was created via netbeans 7.0 and not with the help of weblogic clientgen. So, I had to make a verbose run from netbeans, in order to enumerate the jars which are accessed and gather them into the same directory. That was OK too. The standalone client works just fine.
The third step is to simply (not so simply...) make a java web start version of the client. Since the previous step was a success (having all necessary jars in the same directory) this one should not be a problem. Well... that turned out to be a huge issue. What I get back as the error message (shown in the java web start console) is this:
java.lang.InternalError: error initializing kernel caused by: java.lang.AssertionError: Duplicate initialization of WorkManager

The two invocations (one using java and the other using javaws) should obviously have not differences at all since all resources (jars) are the same.
I have tried all client jar combinations (with wlfullclient.jar, wseeclient.jar, weblogic.jar) and the result is the same. One additional piece of information is that when removing all security parameters (message level encryption and signing) from the web service the java web start client works just fine!!!
This is not an issue of additional jars that somehow mess with weblogic jars, since the same error occurs even in the basic hello world web service.
I wonder if someone has faced the same problem. I would really really appreciate any help. Thank you in advance and keep up the good work.
    Cheers,
    Paul.

    Hi Kal,
since we're currently evaluating the software and haven't acquired a license, we cannot contact support.
I only need to know if this is a solved bug or not. Does it have to do with the classloading process (I cannot think of anything else)?
Thank you again very very much!
    Cheers,
    Paul.

  • Invoke WS from BPEL 'exception on JaxRpc invoke'

I am trying to call a standard Java web service from a BPEL workflow, and randomly get the following error:
exception on JaxRpc invoke: HTTP transport error: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: java.security.PrivilegedActionException: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Message send failed: Connection refused
The web service in question is deployed on the local machine, and the BPEL partnerLinks point to "localhost". It doesn't appear to matter whether or not the application server(s) are clustered.
Because it seems to happen randomly, regardless of load, I am thoroughly stumped. Does anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this problem?
    Thanks,
    Dan

    Dan,
I wonder if you can write a simple Java client and try to call this WS. Do you get this error also? Was the WS deployed to the same application server as the BPEL? Can you try the actual IP address of the server or the hostname rather than localhost? Would that make any difference?

I had a similar problem with Sun App Server. If you can check the domain/log/Server.log.It explains a valid endpoint address is missing in the deployment. To do this open the deployment tool and click the Implementation class in the tree(Bean Shaped).
You can see a endpoint tab within which you need to configure the Endpoint address.
The deployment went fine after this.
    Good Luck !!!

  • Problem while Consuming Java Webservice from WCF client

    Hi,
I am trying to Consume Java Webservice from WCF client. The webservice main functionality is digital data management. The client can Query Digital data and upload digital data by calling webservice methods.Problem is when i am trying to call webmethod from WCF client its giving "Unrecognised message versions".I have no idea about how the message objects are processed at serverside.but at server side they have used JAXP for XML document parsing.
The response content type is Multipart/related and applicatio/XOP+XML.
Can u plz help me how to handle this situation.I have minimum knowledge in Java WS architecture.Basically i am .Net programmer.
Can U please guide me in a proper way to resolve the problem.

    Hi Abinash,
I have the same problem. Have you solve that problem?
I am using a java program to call a webservice too. And I have generated the client proxy definition for Stand alone proxy using NWDS. When I call the method of the webservice I am getting the correct result but along with the result I am getting one error and one warning message in the output.
The java code to call the webservice is as follows.
    MIDadosPessoaisSyncService service = new MIDadosPessoaisSyncServiceImpl();
    MIDadosPessoaisSync port = service.getLogicalPort("MIDadosPessoaisSyncPort");
    port._setProperty("javax.xml.rpc.security.auth.username","xpto");
    port._setProperty("javax.xml.rpc.security.auth.password","xpto");
    String out = port.MIDadosPessoaisSync("xpto", "xpto");
    System.out.println(out);
The result I am getting is :
Warning ! Protocol Implementation [com.sap.engine.services.webservices.jaxrpc.wsdl2java.features.builtin.MessageIdProtocol] could not be loaded (NoClassDefFoundError) !
    Error Message is :com/sap/guid/GUIDGeneratorFactory
<b>The result of the WS is correct!!!</b>
The Java project does not have any warning. But the stand alone proxy project has following warnings associated with it.
This method has a constructor name     MIDadosPessoaisSync.java
The import javax.xml.rpc.holders is never used     MIDadosPessoaisSyncBindingStub.java
The import javax.xml.rpc.encoding is never used     MIDadosPessoaisSyncBindingStub.java
The constructor BaseRuntimeException(ResourceAccessor, String, Throwable) is deprecated     MIDadosPessoaisSyncBindingStub.java
It is very similar with your problem, could you help me?
    Thanks
    Gustavo Freitas
