JCO Exception: COMMAND_EXCEPTION Function: CFG_API_GET_CONFIG_INFO

Hi All,
We have ISA 5.0 SP14 and backend ECC 6.0
We are using java basket.
As per the business requirement we have more than 10 materials, the sales order are getting created in ECC via VA01 tcode.
But in B2C Web Portal (connecting via XCM JCOs and Shops) only for 1 material below error is coming.

A system error has occurred, please contact us on 0870 903 9999
The error occurs when in B2C web portal, user clicks on the name of the product (in product list) to get the material for configuration.
Functional team mentioned, whenever they create any other material with same class as that of affected material, the issue occurs.
This issue is not occurring for any other material and not occurring in ECC.
All JCOs in XCM are working fine.
Has any one come across similar error, pls let me know what could be wrong?

Functional team changed the variant configuration several times and had run the database programs frequently.
The issue still persisted even after restart of applications so we restarted the ECC and problem is resolved.
