JDBC password change with role

Hi
Customer wants to allow that users with a especific role can only modify the JDBC password, through an JMX permission.
Is this a feasible implementation? There is need to develop a custom management utility?

Once the Custom role is created using XACML specification and added into the Security realms of WLS. Then the JMX code will be normal.

If domain user account logins require MFA, is there still a need for regularly enforced password changes?
Seems like MFA with a changing second factor (such as RSA token code) would be the same as a password change at every login.

Based on my research, Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is a method of authentication that requires the use of more than one verification method and adds a critical second layer of security to user sign-ins and transactions.
Multiple verification methods are independent, which means, adding a verification method doesn’t reduce the risk of our traditional passwords being hacked.
In the meantime, there will still be other services/programs still only requires single password verification, once our passwords have been hacked, malicious users can use them to perform actions which don’t require MFA.
Therefore, it’s still necessary to change our password.

Apex-config.xml is broken after password change with encryption

I am using Apex Listener 1.1 with Oracle GlassFish Open Source Edition 3.1.
I found something strange when changing the connection password in apex-config.xml.
If I change the password to keep it plain text like the following, it works fine.
<entry key="apex.db.password">my_password</entry>
But if I change the password to a value to be encrypted, the new password is accepted but the configuration file get messed up.
<entry key="apex.db.password">!my_password2</entry>
After restarting the listener, I get the following content in my apex-config.xml.

You have corrupted your web.xml somehow, repeat the steps making sure the web.xml is well formed.

T41 hard drive password changed with "load defaults"

Hi, I have a T41 laptop and it has a hard drive password. I wanted to get rid of the password, so I chose "load setup defaults". That didn't get rid of the password, but instead changed it to something else. The password is different now, does anybody know what it defaulted to?

Trying will not hurt and will also not set you back as you can always reverse the changed settings.

I can't remember the password to my email acount i opened itunes with, or the itunes password affiliated with that email account? How do I change my primary email account?

I opened my iTunes account with an e-mail address I no longer use, and I can not authorize my new computer to access my iPhone without the iTunes password affiliated with my no longer in use e-mail account. The problem is I can't remember the iTunes password that goes with that account. And the account I no longer use is my primary account. Is there a way around this to where I can change my primary account or at least take the old account off of iTunes???

You can't delete an existing account, you can only choose to stop using it. It will still be there should you decide to use it again in the future.

IMessage is asking for an old password associated with an old account, how do I change this?

In setting up my the new iphone OS, iMessage and Facetime asked for a password associated with a long dead acount ID. I was able to change the account associated with Facetime but iMessage won't let me change to my current one, therefore not allowing me to use iMessage. Anyone else have this problem?

Initial password change requested with SSO

Hi all,
we have well working SSO with EP6 SP2 and standalone ITS. SSO is based on SAP logon ticket. Only one annoying thing appears.
If a new user is created in SAP R/3, ITS asks for changing of password.
Does it mean that the user must initially (and later again according to password policy) change the password although we do not use direct access to R/3? If no password change should be required with SSO, how to solve this issue?

We are on a very similar setup as above:
EP 6.0 SP12 with ITS.
What we are seeing is that the initial password dialog comes up but there is only the input fields but no "Submit" or "Change" buttons. In summary, new users are not able to change their password through the Portal.
Any ideas why this might be happening?

I figured it out! I changed my email & password at the icloud site, then when I deleted the icloud account on my iphone - it still showed my old email but when i typed in my current password it went through. I was then able to sign back in with my current email and password. That was too easy for the amount of time I have put into this! Glad its finally fixed.

ACS 'Password Change Rule' doesn't work with telnet

I am trying to configure that users have to change their passwords when they enter to a network appliance the first time they log in.
I have an ACS 4.0 appliance, the option "Disable TELNET Change Password against this ACS and return the following message to the users telnet session" is disable. When I try to enter to a Catalyst 6500, for instance, I type user and pass and I get Rejected (RADIUS is the protocol used).
In the ACS' reports I can see it appears the next error 'Authen Failed - CS Password Expired'.
I only have enabled the option "Apply password change rule" in Group Settings, the others options for "Password Aging Rules" are deactivated.

You'll need to be using TACACS+ to get password change to work.
Doesnt work with RADIUS.

I have an iPad 2 v6.1.3 that has a problem with connecting to wi-fi. My other I macs have no problem with connecting. The pad keeps coming up with unable to join the network. Nothing has changed with passwords--it just refuses to join my secure network.

My other Imacs and my wife's Ipad 3 have no problem with conneccting. My Ipad keeps coming up with unable to join the network. Nothing has changed with passwords--it just refuses to join my secure network. A couple minutes ago, it connected for 10 seconds, then dropped the connection. Is there a way to reconfigure the Ipad to fix this major problem, as we dropped our carrier (saved a bunch of money) and just went wifi.

My iCloud Account is displayed with an old ID. How do I change this? Additionally, I have forgotten the password associated with the old ID.

When I tap the Settings icon on my iPhone 4S Home screen, and then scroll down and tap “iCloud”, my iCloud Account is displayed with a previous email address which is no longer in use.
When I scroll down and tap “Delete Account”, I’m prompted for the Apple ID password associated with the old email address to turn off Find My iPhone?
I do not know the password for this old Account, and the email is no longer accessible so I'm unable to delete the account.
Therefore, how can I match my iPhone iCloud Account to my MacBook Pro iCloud Account which uses my new email address and password?

WiFi password changed What to do with Time Capsule?

The WiFi password changed and the Time Capsule is not visible anymore. What can I do now? The Time Capsule is connected through a WiFi network to my MacBook.

If you are telling us that the Time Capsule was connecting to your network using wireless only before the network password changed, that would explain why the Tme Capsule is not visible....it is retaining the old settings that tell it to connect using your "old" password.
I would suggest that you change your wireless network password back to the same phrase that you used before.....so your Time Capsule will be able to connect to the network.
If you do not want to change your wireless network password back to the old phrase that you used, your only option to allow the Time Capsule to connect to the wireless network is to perform a Factory Default Reset on the Time Capsule and then configure it to connect to the wireless network using the new password.
For the configuration, you can use wireless, but an Ethernet connection from your computer to one of the LAN <-> ports on the Time Capsule is preferred. Once the Time Capsule is set up, you can disconnect the Ethernet cable.
