We don't plan to publish a list of fixes, since there were thousands of bugs fixed (and hundreds of new features) since the last release. We typically publish a bug fix list for minor updates. This is actually a significant, feature-bearing release for JDeveloper and ADF (new feature list coming soon!), despite the deceptive version nomenclature.

I have a target schema that has "any" element as below:

I would think if you intanciate the XMLReference and use IIDXMLElement GetChildCount / GetNthChild would do what you are looking for.

There is clearly a big big problem with we that upgraded to iTunes 7.7.
Upgrade to 7.7 , Library dissappears.
I came to Support today, in hopes of finding out what may have happened to my Library, which I keep on an External HD.
First checking support , I found NOTHING. As usual.
When I came over here to check Discussions , well, what a trainwreck.
Apart from fixing the danged application, I ask, plead, beseech you kind people at Apple Support:
Please create an up-to-date list of fixes.
There are so many threads, so many things to try -to varying degrees of success- that I am paralyzed with doubt and confusion.
Which of these zillion fixes should I try?
I am NOT a left-brainer so I am useless at deciding what I should do. Further , I am only slightly confident that I am doing the right things:
-did I drag and drop the right file?
-What's an xml file ?
- is this what "open from applications" really means?
- what exactly does "library" is "in" "iTunes" mean and how do I know I am in the right place?
Please create a comprehensive list , culled from all of these unhappy 7.7 Upgradees.
Help me know what are the latest and bestest way to find "my iTunes" (whatever that means.
Make it step-by-step so a non-linear thinker can follow it, without fear of fcuking up everything even more.
I know that I have great limitationsin my understanding; I'm not ashamed to say so in public.
There's no way that i am the only Mac owner in all the land that is similarly handicapped.
I like to think I speak for us all.

I think you misunderstand this forum. Apple Tech Support has essentially no presence here. It's a user-to-user forum. It's possible that one of your fellow users may take it upon themselves to summarize things but, then again, they may be too busy answering questions.
You also have to keep in mind that people come here with problems so, it sometimes seems as if everyone in the world is having a problem. But, the people who aren't having problems, aren't posting here.
So, you're going to have to do some of the work yourself to solve your problem. You might start by posting exactly what happened, what your seeing and what error messages your getting. If you've already done that in another thread, that's great.

9.0.5.1: List of fixed / known bugs / changes available?

For 9.0.5.1 could you please provide a list of
1. bugs fixed
2. known bugs or new bugs
3. changes that are not mentioned in the readme or one of the blogs
compared to 9.0.3.3 or 9.0.4?
This would make it easier to check if we can migrate to 9.0.5.1 (or have to wait for 9.0.5.2) and give my manager a better base to decide.

Here is a punch-list/pick-list for fixes that i be...

-needs to have "1" connection manager that controls ALL THE CONNECTIONS!
Currently, you have to hunt and find everything that is on...and even though I shut off the GPS/EMAIL/WEB/Bluetooth, it still has a connection going on somewhere, but I cannot find it.
-even though all connections are "off" weather and email still update!
-needs to have email scheduling to allow email to not be checked and keep going off at 2-3-4-5am in the morning or what ever interval you have the send/receive set for. *not just for the nokia messenging mail*
-needs to have the email store the IMAP4/POP3 email on the device so that it doesn’t waste so much time connecting everytime I go to the email box and wait for it to show all the email.
-needs to be able to return to the place you were scrolling when you hit the back button after opening a folder. Currently, when you select a folder, lets say "music" and it is 15 folders down (you can only see 4 at a time), and then you tap the back arrow to go a folder up, it takes you to the very top again, making you scroll back down to the area.
-currently, there is a folder showing issue that shows duplicate folders that are not there. Ie-music, music. One has your music in it, the other is empty, but you don’t know which one it is, so when you tap that back arrow, you have to remember which one you tapped and then scroll all the way down again.
-needs to have a better connection setting for the pc as currently, when it connects to the pc, it shows on Bluetooth as another computer (it definitely is!) and therefore I have been having a problem with getting it to sync via bluetooth, whereas I have to connect the cable to sync. (it is very fast btw, and charges on the usb)
*i have been able to get it to connect to my booklet 3g, but not my office desktop, which is my main pc. i have already updated my bluetooth drivers, but the pc suite and my pc only recognize is as another computer, not a phone, so the pc suite does not even find it when you search*
-Currently, you have to download a 3rd party software to send items via Bluetooth, etc....:/
-needs to have the ability to handle re-occuring calendar apointments and work with them like the e90 and the pc/outlook do when changing them. At this time, you can only delete them or change them, but it does it to only one.
-still has some crashing of email (probably, because it is syncing the way it does and I keep pressing stuff!) as well as some of the other products crash as well.
-only had it crash on its own a few times, found it was some of the software that I had installed, it doesn’t crash anymore!
-my coverage at my house is better on the 3g then the 2.75g/2.5g was. Dunno why....still live in the vortex of 3 cell-sites, unless they fixed something the last week I was not at home.
-the settings menu is good in the layout, but needs to have more control for what we want "set". Ie-much of the above, and more profiles.
-there is a good piece of software that allowed me to change where it says t-mobile, and now it say 1of3 things at any time

-the contacts are actually pretty good I think. But they need to be able to let us determine what the default is so that every time we send a message or have them listed on the desktop as a short-cut, it doesn’t make us double/triple tap to call the person.
-when you are on the touch screen in contacts, you have to scroll, unless in portrait, you can choose a part of the alphabet, but still have to scroll. there needs to be a place to use the on-screen kb to type in letters/numbers
-the sms conversations is really good! And I proly have a few hundred messages on it already and it is not slowing down, unlike the Symbian does....also, I kinda forget that I even have that many messages anyway because it is so fluid.
-don’t care much about the mms, but would like to have it for some basic things...i started using it more in the last 8 months or so for various things.
-ovi store doesn’t work yet...not that I would use it...besides, all the repositories are free!
-needs to be able to create groups in the contacts!!!!
-needs to be able to issue ring tones to individuals, and different groups
-maps, at least for me, will not connect to gps, but now that I am stationary, I am going to try to get it to connect while at my home office. Ill just turn it on and leave it alone to try and get a first sync, maybe that will help in the future. *update, i got this to connect, working great as is the gps connections to pictures*
-I did a "restore original settings" thinking it was going to reformat my device. Just changed all the settings back to the beginning. Like a *#7370#...where I thought it would do a full restart like a *#7380#
-the media area looks great. Haven’t really tried to play a movie, but the music part is ok. Would be great if you could actually just go in and select a folder that has the music you want it it rather then searching for a title of the album and then letting it all play. I figured out some way to multi-select the items in the folder manager and then play them that way...but I cant remember off the top of my head how I did it.
-when you select the different calendar options they do not sync, and it was my understanding that they would so long as they were local.

6110 Navigator Bug List - Nokia Fix These Please!

If there are any people out there who is reading this forum and caring for it's customers we need the following bugs fixed which still exists after the 4.22 update 6 months ago.
We are group of 6110N users who have chosen this phone over your precious brick N95 and we think we still need a decent customer care to have fixed our phones which have already been paid for.

Bug list reported by our owners:
1- Nokia CK 7W bluetooth carkit has an echo problem where the reomte person hears their own voice and a terrible echo.
2- No matter if used the original Nokia Sound recorder or third party software the all the recordings have a loud crack sound in the beginning.
3-Volume +/- does not function while playing games.
4- Dual line 32kb sim cards fail to switch to the second line and resets the phone when switched to the second line.
5-Line 1 ringtone and Line 2 ringtone options in profiles disappear for no reason although using a dual line.
6-Deleted numbers in Logs->Recent Calls-> missed/received/dialled logs still remain in the log list view which shows coloured arrows.
7-Even if the sent message history is turned off the numbers which were sent messages are still shown in the log list shown with arrows.
8- Numbers dialled/received calls list occasionally clears if phone turned off
9- If the phone gets connected to computer over usb cable, and used once on pc suite mode and then once in the data transfer mode, then the vibration is disabled until you reboot the phone. (Settings suggest the vibration is on, but in fact it is simply turned off)
10- On the internet bookmarks view, (accessed through the web icon) if a bookmark is deleted or moved to a different folder they are still shown in the root until the application is closed and re-opened. And if tried to open them by mistake the phone responds "it doesn' exist".
11- Battery indicator does not refresh and stays on full power until the mobile is turned off and back on again. After the reboot the battery indicator is updated but then stays at that level until the next reboot.
12-It's not possible to use voice dial with voice synthesis turned on.
13- Joystick press can be used for accepting commands at all areas except for messaging. When message is ready to be sent you cannot click joystick and send message. You need to select options and send and then choose select from the menu.
14- If a memo is set or synchronised from outlook the memo still shows on the screen even if the date has been passed.
15- If we try to change the date of a past memo by changing both the start and end date to a future date the phone gives an odd error message that says: "Alarm time already passed" What alarm time? There's no alarm option or alarm time field in memos.
16- The phone occasionally shuts down completely (turns itself off) without any warning for some users.
17- when alarm is set to workdays "sunday to thursday" the date on the phone doesn't change on saturday night. On sundays it still shows saturday although the time is correct, and the alarm doesn't work till the date is reset and then everything goes normal till the next sunday when the problem happens again.
18- While enterinh a new phone number after typing the number a phone type is selected such as telephone, mobile, work mobile etc.If selected the wrong type there is no way to change tis type unless the number is deleted and re-entered which is a hassle.
19- If there are more than one mobile numbers assigned for a contact as "mobile" type (like mentioned above) set default option does not work.
20- The bluetooth A2DP quality has gone worse. It is skip-happy, and degrading of audio quality is very obvious.
21- If any mp3s have embedded images in the id3 tag, which are not quite square (e.g. 194pxls by 197pxls in one of my files), the music will play, but the phone will almost totally lock up if you try to use another application, and the album art won't show at all.
22- Notes in the organiser on the phone cannot be synchronised with the PC via Nokia PC Suite(Outlook 2003).
23- Music Player on the phone finds "zero" audio files when connected to Nokia Suite via USB.
24- If a call is made while connected to a bluetooth carkit (CK 7W in my case) the latest number dialled won't appear in the logs.
25- When navigating in the standard "Nokia Navigator" Route66 application, if the display mode with all info at the bottom (the only mode that display ETA) is set the phone normally remembers this mode between sessions. When signal is lost (typically after a tunnel), the display mode is reset back to default.
26- If an internet connection is established via the browser and closed, the internet connection stays on constantly until the battery is very hot and voltage is drained only if the e-mail update (push e-mail) is set to "ON".
27-The streaming mode is problematic. An H.264 video encoded in 320x240 resolution could be watched full screen in the streaming mode in the previous firmware however the phone will freeze within 1 or 2 seconds after switching from the standard window size to full screen size after 4.22 if watched during streaming.
28- Real Player(Or music player) doesn't update the playlist unless the phone is not restarted.
29- For some of the users some videos start with the first frame and then shows a black screen for a while and then the video plays normally. (DivX Avi files?)
30- System startup dramatically slows up if using a HCSD memory card.
31- Sound cracks occur in high bit rate mp3's if using an HCSD memory card.
32- It would have been nice to rename the last default Profile "Offline" to another name such as "Flight"
33- If a user decides to use an alternative navigation software he/she should be able to remap the dedicated navigator button to the executeable of the 3rd party software.
34- The flash provides such an artificial colour tone to the picture which makes the picture looks almost blue in all cases.
That's it for now. But I'm sure there will be more and we'll keep posting until we receive our firmware fixes as a part of our consumer rights.

if they are unable to update all languages in a normal time gap (it is now 6 months ago they released firmware 4.22 for the first product code (actually mine and maybe a few others)), they should not offer those many versions. the huge bug with out of memory in nokia navigator with firmware 3.58 is not fixed yet for those people. really absolutely not acceptable.
besides that, currently my phone is in a nokia service center, microphone doesnt work anymore (the one who i call just hears a very loud noise). my brother got the same phone, his one is in nokia service center since 2 weeks now, because it doesnt charge anymore as there seems to be a connection broken inside the phone).
well that will be fun if the phone returns (approximately 4 weeks), as I guess the phones will have new IMEIs as they will send 2 new phones and not fix the problem (would cost them more). but as i got a western europe with nordics-map licence locked to the imei, the next problem will be there after I get a nokia 6110navi with another IMEI back. i get really upset with this really slow support.

Further, my frustration with the "update" not solving anything was compounded by other posts I've read where it's not solving any issues for anyone else. The one person in the thread who said that their app isn't crashing anymore does not make this a solution or success.

Source list Vendor fixed!

Hi All,
I have maintained a source list for a material with a contract in the source list and the vendor fixed. I have also maintained it as MRP relevant (by having MRP indivcator as 1). The Source list check box in the material master is checked.
Now when I run the MRP for this material I do not have the contract and the fixed vendor form the source list in the PR generated.
I have also tried by maintaining an inforecord (though it doesn't seem related).But it soe
Am I missing something here? Is something missing in the PP configuration?
Please guide. My client wants the contract and the fixed vendor in the sorce list automatically picked in the PR generated by the MRP run.

Hi,
What you should do to check if your source of supply is properly set is to manually create PR and assign this contract source of supply to your PR. If the source of supply is not accepted, then SAP will populate the related error message.

Be careful what you assume - rarely are lists of values like this truly static. One thing to keep in mind that arrays in sql server are tables. So, one example is:

Open Item List including Fixed Assets

Hi All
I need to create an open item list for a customer that includes all open AP Invoices of all vendors including fixed asset acquisitions. Something like SELECT 'Purchase Invoices', T0.DocNum, T0.DocDate FROM OPCH T0 WHERE T0.DocStatus = 'o' but also for the fixed asset acquisitions. Does anybody have an idea?

Artists not showing up under artists list, common fixes not working.

Righto. So, I'm the proud owner of a fifth generation 30GB black Ipod.
Unfortunately, five-ish artists refuse to show up, among them Barenaked Ladies, Elton John, and Queensryche.
Given the rockitude of the above artists, you can understand my dilemma.
I only have one album by BNL, and no songs that aren't listed under an album, same story with Sir John.
Queensryche, however, is a different story. I have Operation: Mindcrime and a greatest hits album for them, some of the songs share titles but not albums.
Hey, just noticed something. Out of the three I listed, (the three that came most immediately to mind, there are others,) all of them are greatest hits albums. I have other GH albums, but those ones aren't functioning fantastically. I've done some research, tried to fix it m'self, nothing doing. Helpish?

I feel your pain. I'm having the exact same problem, and in several cases the artist only has one album in iTunes, so having multiple albums for the same artist is no the problem. My iPod software is updated, iTunes is updated, and everything including the artist's name appears in iTunes, but some (not all) are missing on the iPod under the "Artists" menu. Does anyone know of a fix, or is this a software bug?

Bug fix list for JDev 10.1.2

I would like to know if exists any bug fix list for JDev 10.1.2, and where I can find it, if exists.

Hi Shay, of cours Chris is right. The main reasons for this is
1. We need to convince our management to invest in the efforts to update to a new version, find workarounds for new bugs, make complete tests of our product, update the installed base, ....
2. We need to check if there are any unknown but critical fixed and we need to update our installed base.
3. We need to decide how fast we need to update installed base.
4. If there are 998 IDE bugs fixed and only one BC4J and one UIX bug, i think we will wait for the 10g final release...
Like most engineering teams in the world we have to fight with limited resources, so there is no chance to spend much time without a real need.

Btw. Even for the Oracle Database release there is always a list of fixed bugs. And this list also most often really scares me.

Why is jDev 10.1.3.0.2 showing classes directory?

I have the new preview release of jDev running and I'm noticing that under the Application Sources node in the Application Navigator, all my compiled class packages are showing up. Is there a way to not include the compiled classes into the project? Why would this be helpful? Can't we have a choice?
Also since the classes directory is showing up in the project, I get an error when I run my Ant script which tries to delete the classes directory (for a rebuild). Right now my workaround is telling jDev that my classes directory is somewhere else just so that I can run my Ant script. Any comments or suggestions would be helpful!

I've seen this in every project I pull into the JDev 10.1.3 preview. I think I've found the problem: The classes subdirectory needs to be added as 'excluded' in the project resources listing - that fixes the problem every time for me.
Example:
Open project properties and look at Project Content (the first item). Under Java Content, I have:
Java Content: project_root/src
Clicking on 'Resources' under Project Content, I have:
Resources: project_root/
Excuded: project_root/classes and project_root/deploy

JDev team: is there a workaround for bug1482140?

I would like to know if anybody has figured out a workaround for bug 1482140 which is listed in the JDeveloper 3.2.2 readme. It states that it is not possible to deploy EJBs to 8.1.7 running on Solaris. It also indicates that it should have been fixed in 8.1.7.1 but the list of fixed bugs in 8.1.7.1 does not include this one. When is this going to be fixed? Why is there no status on it in Metalink? Is there something clever I can do similar to the workaround given for deploying BC4J?

Uh, dude? What are you talking about? I've seen the workaround for the aurora_client.jar bit but I thought it only applied to BC4J as it says in the HOWTO under the JDEV docs. As for the 8.1.7.1b patch, this is the first I've heard of it. It doesn't help that searching for this bug under Metalink doesn't produce any results. The way I see it is that I should be able to enter the Bug number in Metalink, and it tells me what patchset the bug is fixed in. That mechanism seems to have broken down here. oh well, I have no problem with having to be told something twice, I'm not perfect. At least I have the stones to post messages with my name and email address Mr d. cheers.
