JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.0.3 Blue Screen of Death on Windows 7 64-bit

Hi,
I am using JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.0.3 on a Windows 7 (64-bit) machine. Whenever I try and use the PgUp or PgDn keys or even use the main vertical scrollbar it produces a Blue Screen of Death. Saying the Video Scheduler has encountered an unexpected error.
Has anyone else had this issue and is there a fix?
Thanks
Martin

Kind of old this version, but I cab run the 10.1.3.3 version on my win7 64bit system withotu a problem. Only thing I changed was the theme (not sure which one as I don't have access to the pc right now).
Can be a problem with your hardware. Check if there are newer version of graphic drivers availabe.

Oh, and don't try to run it with jdk 1.6 or 1.7. Use the jdk bundeled with jdev

  • X200 Tablet - Wacom Pen Blue Screen of Death on Windows 7

Hello...hopefully someone can help & point me in the right direction...I have a Lenovo x200 tablet PC (Stylus Only Version) - and recently installed Windows 7 Professional (64bit)
The OS install went perfectly...Once installed, I did all the Systems Updates for Windows 7, including all the updates for Lenovo using System Update 4.01.....However, I have an issue that I cannot seem to figure out...
    PROBLEM # 1
The biggest issue I now face is, whenever I put the Digitized Pen next to the Tablet Screen within 2 seconds I get the 'Blue Screen of Death'....and it automatically Reboots....This ONLY happens when I touch the Pen to the screen....
I uninstalled the 'Wacom Drivers' - within the Device Manager, which i assume were installed by the system update(s)....After, uninstalling the issue of the 'Blue Screen' from happening when the pen touches the screen is gone.....However, I have no way of being able to use the Pen...it does not show any cursor or inking....Is there a specific DRIVER that I should be installing on my own to make this work properly - without getting the 'Blue Screen of Death' each time?....I really need some guidance on this issue.
    PROBLEM # 2
My Second issue, which is suddenly occured after day 2 of installing updates is the Lenovo System Update 4.01 -- Suddenly, after working on day 1 - now, whenever i try to 'Check New Updates' i get a popup that says "An error was detected with the Package catalog for your system on the System Update Server. Please contact the Support Center".
I called techical support on the phone - and they made it seem like this was not their problem and they could not help me...The odd thing is, that this was working before, and now all of sudden it doesnt work...
If someone can please advise me on what to do, especially with the Pen Driver problem, I would greatly appreciate it....Thanks!

    **FIXED IT** TWICE!
I've been messing with this on multiple machines at my school.
I was getting the BSOD, "no tablet installed" all that good stuff.
I installed this, that and the other thing.
After testing another machine, I read something in the BSOD that caught my attention.
It mentions resetting the cache of the BIOS. I wasn't sure what that meant, or how to do it.
But I was able to get into the BIOS (F1 on the Lenovo splash screen) and I just tapped F9 (load default Bios options -paraphrasing) Then I hit ESC- it prompts to save the settings, agree and let the computer continue to boot.
I was able to test the Pen at the login screen. Just repeated this process on another X200 computer and it worked again.
    Try it.
    Good luck!

  • Blue Screen of Death in Windows

    Hello,
I am getting the Blue Screen of Death about once a every few days. My iMac does not do this. Please help. My HD is defragmented. I have Windows XP Home.
    Thanks!

Having same problems on Windows XP SP3 on my MacBook. Both Mac OS X and XP are up to date. I'll admit I haven't defragmented in a while, but I haven't been using it that long and I don't do much heavy stuff on it so I didn't think that'd be an issue(??). It'll do it without warning, normally a blue screen almost immediately followed be a reboot; sometimes it's a screen-freeze instead. It only started a month ago and when it happens, it's only on XP and every few days, but I've lost work because of it and it's driving me nuts!
I'm sorry I'm not awfully technical, but has anyone got any ideas? Would reinstalling Windows be a good idea and if so how would you do it?
    Thanks for any help!
    Mike

  • IPod Causing Blue Screen of Death on Windows Vista

I'm posting this in the correct forum now:
For some reason, all of a sudden, whenever I plug in or unplug my iPod to my computer, the computer crashes and quickly shows a blue screen of death before restarting. It has not done this before today. I haven't done anything out of the ordinary with the iPod or the computer that would cause it to do this.
When iTunes opened, it said there was a Windows Update to fix a problem with iPods corrupting upon disconnecting from the PC, but when I tried to download the update, it said something about the update not being needed for this system. The iPod isn't corrupted, everything is still on it. I don't know what the deal is.
I tried system restore back to like a week ago, but this did nothing to help.

First, update the USB Root Driver on your computer: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305136 Even if there are no new drivers for your computer, follow the last part of the article and let Windows update your USB driver.
Second, be sure you are using a rear port on your computer.
Third, with only the iPod, mouse and keyboard connected (no speakers, no mic, nothing else), reassign the drive letter on your iPod. Try M or P or Z: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93499

Windows 7 really is version 6.1 (Vista was 6.0).
Same as Windows XP was version 5.1 (Windows 2000 was 5.0).

If this is your first time you've seen this stop error screen,
restart your computer. If this screen appears again follow
    these steps:
Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed.
If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer
for any Windows updates you might need.
If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware
or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing.
If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart
your computer, press F8 to select advanced startup options, and then
    select Safe mode.

ill look back  later on today or tomorrow around 5Pm eastern time.

I would just like to follow up on deusexmachina's solution and explain how to delete that file without booting from the drive.
Boot from a Windows 7 disc/USB and after it loads press SHIFT+F10 to bring up the command line.  From here, you can navigate to the "C:\Windows\System32\codeintegrity\" directory and delete the "bootcat.cache" file and reboot.
If you do not have Windows 7 bootable media to boot from then you can download the ISO from here and burn to a disc or use a USB drive:
    http://www.mydigitallife.info/official-windows-7-sp1-iso-from-digital-river/
Another option would be to pull the physical drive from the computer and access it using another desktop or laptop to manually delete the "bootcat.cache" file as well.
Afterwards, please upgrade to Service Pack 1, so this issue cannot repeat itself.

  • Itunes causing Blue Screen of Death on Windows 7

Every time I open Itunes 9 it eventually crashes my computer and takes me to the Blue Screen of Death. I recently updated from vista to Windows 7. I've reinstalled itunes repeatedly and tried both 32 and 64-bit installs. Any suggestions would be very helpful.

I had the same problem just now. I've had iTunes on my computer since I got it (the day Windows 7 came-out), and have had the hardest time getting it to run properly. I left it on the fill the library with my music, and came back to see the Blue Screen. I've had that Blue Screen 2 times already, and I'm not sure if the first 2 times were because of iTunes or not (although iTunes wasn't running the first 2 times, so possibly not).

Press and hold the power button down to turn of the machine.
Press and hold the Command Option R keys on the built in keyboard and press the power button, you have to be near your high speed Internet connection.
If you get something like "Install OS X" do that, it will overwrite your old copy with a new one and not touch your files or most programs.
If you can't install OS X, head to Disk Utility and First Aid > Repair Disk and Permissions and try reisntalling OS X again. (do not erase the drive as this will wipe your data off, unless your sure)
If you still get the white/gray screen with nothing while holding the Command Option R keys at boot time,  I suspect your EFI firmware has been borked somehow and it's not loading to respond to the at boot key commands.
We are able to reinstall the EFI firmware ourselves, but the current method requires a machine with a internal optical drive. This problem occurs so rarely that it's not been used much and certainly unknown how well it works off a USB thumb drive, which is what I suspect the Apple Store/Repair will do.
Since your under warranty, I would have Apple replace the EFI firmware and check the machine out for hardware issues as well.
Buy AppleCare and a external drive for TimeMachine backups.

  • ITunes 8.2 update Blue Screen of Death on Windows XP

I installed the iTunes update on a Dell Inspiron 1500 XP Home Edition computer and now the computer will not boot; it goes directly to the Blue Screen of Death. I cannot go into safe mode as it also gets the BSOD. Is there any work around for this? That is pretty bad that a software installation can effectively break a computer to the point of having to reinstall the whole operating system!

Ta very much, Jason! That's useful to know.
These sorts of outdated-software clashes can hang around for the longest time. Back before you came on board, one of the common causes of BSODs was a version of Roxio Easy CD creator (5.0 I think ...) that wasn't actually compatible with XP. If you had it on board, it quite was plausible that you couldn't get your XP PC to boot ... but for some folks the problem lay dormant, and their first sign of trouble with it was when the PC had iTunes installed on it, and the PC started blue-screening if they plugged in an iPod, inserted a CD, or sometimes just tried to launch iTunes.
Used to catch in particular folks who had upgraded their OS from ME to XP.
Mercifully extinct or vanishingly rare now ... but it kept showing up for me here in 2005 through 2007 ...

  • Connecting IPod Touch gives a blue screen of death on windows xp home

    Hi,
I recently got a new ipod touch. I downloaded the itunes 9.1 and connected the ipod touch with my PC to configure it for the time first time. After connecting the machine detected it as a camera and then it gave me a BSOD.
I updated my machine with all the automatic updates from microsoft, even tried downloading and updating some patches manually but nothing worked out.
I searched the apple support pages and did the activities mentioned there but none seems to be working
I have no other USB devices connected on my machine, there are no webcams or printers attached to the PC
Any help is appreciated, I have been trying for last 2 days and finally gave up
    Thanks

  • Firefox.exe is causing a blue screen of death in Windows Vista.

I was browsing the internet a few hours ago when my computer bluescreened. This is the first time this has ever happened on my 2-year-old system, so when Windows booted up again I searched for a way to diagnose the problem. The resulting Windows Debugging Tool cited Firefox.exe as the cause of the crash.
Has anybody else had this issue? Is there a solution?
    Please and thanks! :-D

I have this problem for 3 weeks now.
Blue screen occurs 2/3 times a day, only when FF running (tested with IE : problem disapears).
More blue screens occur when playing a video, but happens without Flash player anyway.
Seems to be a minidump / AppDataLocal Temp... error.
    Any idea ?

  • Blue screen of death hp windows 7

I have been searching and reading other peoples problems with the BSOD. Trying there ideas and nothing works. Just can't get passed it. Although when I tried quickly tapping the esc key as it turns on it says "entering boot menu..." but it just stays there. I've waited for hours. What to do, what to do? Any help will be appreciated, I have a lot of important stuff on my pc

Do you mean that you are pressing F8 about once a second after pressing the power button and you still aren't getting the Advanced Boot Menu with the safe mode options?  You should get the advanced boot menu with the described process.  If you are not getting that, then either something has happened to Windows or the system is not receiving the keyboard signal in time to trigger the menu.
As GideonEL has noted, a blue screen error can be software or hardware.
About 2/3 of the way down, there will be a stop error code (e.g. 0x0000007e).  What is this error code?
Some blue screen errors list a file that may have caused it just below the stop error code? Is one listed?
Before continuing, I want to be certain that everyone is on the same page.
Doesn't work for me. I think we may be talking about a different type of BSOD..
Mine give me the option of ecs=boot menu F10=setup F11=system recovery F9=diagnostics.

The reason I want to confirm is that you said your blue screen gives different options and listed the ESC, F9, F10, and F11 keys.  These keys are not part of a Windows blue screen error.
Are you referring to a screen that looks like this?
Or are you referring to a blue screen that looks like this?

One person had iffy 3rd RAM.
You updated AMD graphic driver too to 11.8+ right? not just Apple's.
Plenty of free space for Windows to play with.
    Do a chkdsk
Boot from Windows DVD and run memtest and also do system check
Restore points are better used, and image Windows
    Rollback drivers works well, too
Some had trouble after NetFrame 4? update in Windows (but not on my 3 computers)
Apple drivers can be iffy and buggy
AppleHFS.sys has been known to be trouble. HFS allows for filenames that NTFS won't.
Paragon has HFS9.x driver that adds write support and does a better job
BC 4.x is still it seems trouble for more than a few (but obviouslly not in the 10s of thousands)
