JDeveloper hangs on selecting "Input Schema Element"

I am trying to create new BPEL process through BPEL Project Creation Wizard. During the wizard when i click on flash light to browse the "Input Schema Element", Jdeveloper hangs.
I tried using different JDeveloper versions (10.1.3.4, 10.1.3.5 ) but same problem happening.
Any help is highly appreciated.

Getting error while creating the variable of Schema Element type

Hi everybody,
For creating a variable of schema element type I am doing the following steps...
Select 'Variables' after right clicking on bpel process. IN this window, go to 'Create VAriable' then select 'Element' type. Now in Type Choose, I expanded the my imported schema files. And selected a element type, then click ok to create this variable... I am getting the message...
IN ORDER TO SAVE IMPORTED WSDL/SCHEMA FILES, YOU MUST HAVE A PARTNER LINK LOCATED UNDER THE CURRENT PROJECT DIRECTORY.
What is mean by that.
I have imported the schema files in project. AFter that I have imported them into the WSDL also. Now why I am getting error while creating the variable. However I can create variable directly in .BPEL file then everything is fine. And it is working also. But what is mean with the above error? Why I am not able to create variable through GUI?

I have this same problem this morning, and I was going crazy, until I found this webpage on the internet:

The idea is that the jdeveloper is not very good working with directories with spaces on the directory name. If you move all your work to a directory without spaces, it will work smoothly. At least, it had worked for me.

Extract the node value of the input schema in a mapping

I want to extract the value of request_id in the xslt of the mapping where the input schema format is in the below image.
I tried the following, but I am not able to pull out the value. Could anyone help with it.

SelectRecord Record has a blank namespace. Instance Xpath for request_id has a different namespace(s0). TranslationsRequest has a different namespace(s1). So I used as above.
la Cour Vertica: I tried, "s1:SelectRecord/s0:REQUEST_ID/text()", but it's not working. May be because of blank namespace for SelectRecord

The above is the input schema. I need to map the elements in appointment node with highest ID to the elements in the output schema. Of the two appointment nodes above, I should only pick up one node with highest ID and map the elements of it to

I should pick up details of the appointment with Higesht ID for every job. For every job one record should exist as the ouput.
With the existing mapping, i am getting just one record as output no matter how many input jobs are there.
Input schema has got multiple jobs and within each job there are many appointments. So in each job I should pick up the one

Validate Biztalk schema Element field value

HI Experts,
I have a scenario here, i have an incoming xml file and i need to validate the data in the xml.
for Ex-
<elementvalue>name1,name2,name3,name4</elementvalue>
Is there any thing to do in biztalk to validate name1,name2,name3,name4 agnist the incoming data?

you can use enumeration property in the schema.
select the field and go to its property and set it to Derived, this will enable another property "Enumeration"
you can enter the values each per one row.
if it such that the filed value comes as "name1,name2,name3,name4" in the input schema then enter this
entire values in a single line in enumeration.
if you also want to validate at port level, make sure you set the validate document to true at the pipeline settings.

Selecting wrong WBS element while preparing the Purchase Order

Hi Gurus
We want to check the data while end user input it in the system.
While preparing the the PO in the sysetm we input the plant id,storage location and WBS element.
End user may select wrong WBS element of project under with plant. I want to prevent it.
How can I prevent end user for selecting wrong WBS element under plant and storage location.

You need to some developement...create Z table and maintain the entries with the cobinations in what way you want to restrict and call the same in the PO.

XML-32009: (Fatal Error) Failed to parse the input schema.

I am attempting to generate the Java classes for the attached XLM schema (JMdict_e.xsd) using the following command:
oracle.xml.jaxb.orajaxb -schema JMdict_e.xsd -targetPkg generated
which results in the error "XML-32009: (Fatal Error) Failed to parse the input schema."
I created the schema from a DTD file (http://www.csse.monash.edu.au/~jwb/jmdict_dtd_h.html) following the instructions in the example http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/appdev.111/b28394/adx_j_sproc.htm#CIHICCJB
I am using version xdk_nt_10_1_0_2_0_production.

@Bhaskar (and @user11922800): You have to update the db10g/xdk to a version at least of 10.1.0.4. There were major bug fixes including XML-32009 error (bug number 3375952).

I've even tried the op's listing with my more to-date xdk without encountering any problem and it is compiled just fine.
ps: I am sure that was the hasty typo in dvohra16 post. The namespace in the op (/2001/) is correct. Encoding is still capable of resulting in some problems (I've had encounted if I recall), but that is not the problem for the issue raised in this thread.

ADF FACES: jdeveloper hangs on opening a .jspx file

I may not have had this file open since updating to EA13, but I'm not positive. Upon trying to open the file (code below), jdeveloper hangs. It sucks down roughly 50% of the CPU and the memory footprint slowly grows (about 3 MB per minute). As of now, I've tried restarting jdeveloper and then opening the file, but the behavior is the same. I have let it run for nearly 15 minutes and it is still hung (to the point that the display is not redrawn when a window, such as the task manager, is closed after obscuring part of the jdeveloper window).
I'm running jdev version 10.1.3.0.2.223

Helo there,
I am having exactly the same problem, everytime I include af:forEach tag inside the af:selectOneChoice for example, preview of JSP is not shown and whole developer hangs, in task manager I can see 100% CPU occupation by JDeveloper.
But the code itself is ok, if I run the page while editor is in Source mode Page is properly shown in browser, but when I change editor mode to Design it hangs.
I am using Faces EA17 and JDeveloper 10.1.3
Does anybody else face the same issue?

Selection inputs in report designer

Hello Friends,
Need some help .
I am currently working on BI7 and there is one requierment for Report Designer.
Actaully user is looking for the selection creteria after execution of the report like
I have executed the report designer application with the company code 5060 ,
then I should be able to the see the selection creteria , where as I am able to see the data.
In this case ,I am able to see the data but could not guess that what was the my selection creterai like we get in Bex Query or in Bex Anaylyzer.
So please let me know how can we check the selection input which we have given or how can we display selection input in Report designer ?
Is there any specific settion , please advice .

Hi,
all the values in a selection screen are variables, and in the report designer is't possible to add the variables of a query, so I think it must be possible to add your selection.
But this is only possible if you first execute the report to the web and not directly to PDF...
First add a report section with different rows and columns, and then drag and drop the variables...

The "Use Selection of Structure Elements" Option in RSRT Query Properties

Hi, does anyone know the side effect of enabling this option for all BEx Queries? The help states the following: "The Use Selection of Structure Elements option can be selected for any query; however, it is only useful in some cases. In queries, selections are frequently based on one or more characteristics in the columns, or more precisely, in the structure elements. One or more of these structure elements are often filtered in the BEx Analyzer or in BEx Web applications. If you do not select the Use Selection of Structure Elements option, these dynamic (structure element) selections are not transferred to the database. Normally, the data for the entire structure or for both structures is then read from the database." It sounds to me that there is no harm in checking this flag all the time, but what is confusing is the default state of this option; i.e. unchecked.
I would appreciate if someone can clarify the downside of checking this flag.

Checking this simple property helps improve performance in situations where there are many Restricted Key Figures and other calculations in the Query Definition
If analysis of the query performance indicates very high EVENTID 3200 times, and/or the FEMS number is very high try enabling this property and check performance.
Checking this ensures the structure elements are sent to the database for processing.

You need to be in Expert mode, so if you aren't, click the word Expert at the top of the editor to go there. Then it will be to the right of the lasso tool. It shares a slot with the magic wand and the selection brush, so just click whichever is visible and then you can change tools in the tool options area at the bottom of the screen.
