Jdeveloper patches for jsp?

Hi
Is there a patch for jdeveloper 3.0 that makes the debugging of JSPs possible? Right now the line numbers that are shown are way off.
Where can I find the patches on this site?
ORACLE - Isn't it possible that such a big e-business company could design the site so you don't need to ask where the patch pages are located ?
Regards
/Joachim

JDeveloper 3.0 supports JSP (Java Server Pages ) Debugging. No need of any additional patches.
Right now the line numbers that are shown are way off.
(What exactly is the meaning of this , I am not clear, please explain).
In JDeveloper 3.1 it is possible to do the remote debugging of JSP's and Servlets running on another web servers.
One restriction is that
When debugging JSP's (either locally or remotely), any debugging feature which uses expression evaluation will not be available. This includes conditional breakpoints,
expression logging for breakpoint occurrence, and the Run->Evaluate/Modify dialog.
The above is mentined in the Release Notes for Oracle JDeveloper 3.1.

I am confused regarding the JDeveloper patch i need to download from metalink pertaining to our version of e business suite and OA Frame Work.
OA Frame work version we have is :
    Product/Component Version

    Business Components - 9.0.3.13.87
    UIX (Cabo) - 2_2_24
BiBeans Runtime - 3.1.0.70 nondebug BI Beans OAF 11.5.10 Production Release
    MDS - 9.0.5.4.89_555

    JDBC Driver - 9.2.0.6.0
    Database - Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.7.0 - 64bit Production

    Browser - Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; GTB6; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; InfoPath.1)
From Metalink i found the below information:
    Release 11i
OA Framework 5.10 patch      ---- JDeveloper 9i Patch
    ATG.PF.H (patch 3438354 or Oracle Applications 11.5.10) --     Patch 4045639 9IJDEVELOPER WITH OA EXTENSION ARU FOR FWK.H
ATG PF CU1 (patch 4017300)      -- Patch 4141787 9IJDEVELOPER WITH OA EXTENSION ARU FOR CU1
    ATG PF CU2 (patch 4125550)      -- Patch 4573517 Oracle9i JDeveloper with OA Extension for 11.5.10 CU2

    11i.ATG_PF.H.RUP6 (patch 5903765) -- Patch 6739235 9IJDeveloper With OA Extension ARU FOR 11i10 RUP6
AS you can see we are on 11.5.10 4RUP version of OA Framework, but in metalink when i see, i am confused between two patches :
    ATG.PF.H (patch 3438354 or Oracle Applications 11.5.10) --     Patch 4045639 9IJDEVELOPER WITH OA EXTENSION ARU FOR FWK.H
    11i.ATG_PF.H RUP4 (patch 4676589)      -- Patch 5455514 9IJDEVELOPER WITH OA EXTENSION ARU FOR 11i10 RUP4
Should i download Patch 4045639 or Patch 5455514 for Jdeveloper. Both of them seems like related to 11.5.10 version of ebusiness suite.
    Thanks
    Sandeep

    Hi All,
There is the issue with newly relased jdeveloper patch for 12.1. We have raised an SR with Oracle and they have responded back saying : Set profile "Sign-On:Notification" to "No" at site level, which resloves the issue.

According to your output you have ATG RUP5 installed on your 11i system. Per MOS Doc 787209.1 (How to find the correct version of JDeveloper to use with eBusiness Suite 11i or Release 12), you will need patch 6012619 of JDeveloper.

For AA XI, you only need the 11.0.09 patch. Download from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows (Use "MAC" if a MAC is used).

  • JDeveloper 9i for Oracle 11i 10 with RUP4

    Hi,
I am trying to download JDeveloper patch 9i with OAF extension for Oracle Apps 11i 10 framework with RUP4. I am having issues with finding the right patch number as metalink says different patches in different pages. With the one I downloaded, I am having some database connection problem which gives me "IO Exception: The Network Adapter Could not Establish Connection".
    Can some help? Pls?
    Thanks.

5455514 is the patch for rup 4 based system.
As for the error, it is very generic. Either try to follow the steps for hello world carefully or search on forum, you will find many similar threads on this topic.

  • Jdeveloper OA for 11.5.7

I have a TestProject based on HelloWorld from tutorial, it runs fine on 11.5.10 (Jdev OA patch 4573517), but with 11.5.7 it gives error (see the log behind).
Using older Jdev p4045639 it gives "No suitable driver" for the same TestProject in 11.5.7.
I really need to develop for 11.5.7, does exist some specific patch for it ?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Patch for error code 2131 when burning CDs in itunes for Toshiba computers:

Just today, Toshiba posted patch for the infamous "error code 2131" when trying to burn CDs in itunes on many Toshiba laptops. Lucky for me, today was the first time I tried to do so, but I feel for all you other folks who have been very frustrated about this issue. Here is the link to it on the Toshiba support page:
    http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su/susc_dtlViewDL.jsp?soid=2024958&moid=1909174&rpn=PSAF3U&BV_SessionID=@@@@043462335 6.1208403240@@@@&BV_EngineID=cccgadedlgfhkdecgfkceghdgngdgnn.0&ct=DL&alldocs=false
I'm going to install it now and report back if there is anything tricky about it (I read in another forum that someone had already gotten the patch and had posted a link to it at a private website where there were a few different options and you had to figure out which was the right one, but this should be easier and "official")
    Hope this helps!

    Dell Inc. Dell DM051
hmmmmm. i'm proceeding under the assumption that you've got a Dell 5150/E510. if i'm wrong about that, please check in with Dell to confirm your model prior to applying any updates.
i had a look at the support site for your model (or at least, what i'm assuming your model is). your firmware appears to be up to date for the HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GWA4164B that you're getting the error on, but there does seem to be newer firmware available for the SONY DVD-ROM DDU1615. so it might be worth getting that, just in case there some kind of odd interaction happening between the drives.
    Dimension 5150/E510
otherwise, we'd better check on some of the other usual suspects with this sort of thing:
iTunes for Windows doesn't recognize my audio CDs
... and these resources might be helpful with that:
Using CD Diagnostics in iTunes for Windows to troubleshoot CD/DVD drive issues

  • First patch for the non-released 9iAS 9.0.4

Today I mentioned the first patch is released for 9ias 9.0.4 (patch 3089193). Strange that Oracle already releases patches for a product that itself has not been released yet. Is it that difficult to implement that patch into the base version? I heard that we may expect 9iAS 9.0.4 around september/october so there should be time enough.

Well -- to respond to the patches...
9.0.2.1 core patchset breaks my Jdev/BC4J application with an error indicating the BC4J tables couldn't be updated
So, I try 9.0.2.2 patch. Can't get past installation instructions (posted message yesterday about this -- no response yet).
javax.naming.CommunicationException: webdev1.softmatic.esoftmatic.com:4031. Root exception is java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: object is not an instance of declaring class
Patches have definitely not helped here.
    To be constructive:
    1) Looking for 9.0.4 release to allow clustering of OC4J processes even if installed with reports/forms (i.e. allow me to use EM to cluster, even if EM can't cluster the reports servers). It would be nicer to have EM cluster reports services too, but probably need smart way of updating CGICMD.DAT, for example. I could deal with just clustering the OC4J portions, but to prevent me from doing it because I've installed the "business intelligence" is frustrating because I know the capability is there -- I just can't get there because we use the reports too.
    2) Looking for text/xml/configuration files on NT to use Windows CRLF (cgicmd.dat, opmn.xml, etc). Annoying, especially since I have to document the installation procedures for disaster recovery and need to include unix to dos type utilities, etc. Getting a real editor isn't my problem, it's the disaster recovery plan where you can't count on people knowing how to deal with it themselves.
    3) Looking for way to deploy 9.0.3 JDeveloper BC4J to 9.0.2 safely (docs say you can't)...As a generalization, allow deployment of newer jdev/bc4j libraries with the applications. The "tightness" of BC4J within 9iAS causes issues. Development environments are updated more regularly than production -- hence the ability to fully deploy newer applications to the older app servers is key.
There are probably others... but those topics seem to not come up in the forums.

  • Good IDE for JSP/Servlets Development

Guys, I was looking for a good IDE for JSP/Sevlets development. I for myself wouldn't need or atleast wouldn't want to have one, but for our production they say they need one. So please can u guys advise one. I have downloaded and tried JDeveloper but it just hangs, dont know but looks like its too memory intensive. Any suggestions??? Thanks in advance

IBM's Websphere Studio Application Developer (WSAD) is a good one. It can also connect to any CVS servers, which allows you to control the versions. Hope this may help you...

  • Patches for  Sun Studio 12 Update 1

    Dear all,
I have recently installed Sun Studio 12 Update 1 on an x86 system and have some questions pertaining to the required patches. According to my understanding of the text on the homepage for SS12U1 (http://developers.sun.com/sunstudio/downloads/patches/ss12u1_patches.jsp) it should be possible to download these also without a service contract, but this does not seem to be possible. The SunOS 5.10_x86: Microtasking libraries (libmtsk) patch 120754-6 distributed with the SS12U1 does not seem to be sufficient for 64-bit OpenMP programs. For correct functionality of the compiler patch 120754-7 appears to be needed.
My question thus is if it should be possible to access the required Sun Studio 12 Update 1 patches without a service contract?
Any help regarding this is highly appreciated.

Tthe recent lockdown of all patches by Oracle, making them available only under a support contract, makes the issue of Sun Studio 12.1 patches discussed here quite important. If 120754-07 is required for proper SS12.1 functionality, then users without support contracts must not upgrade their systems to more recent Solaris versions, as SS12.1 will have to be re-installed, and the 07 patch will be unavailable. When will SS12.2 or SS13 (?) be released? If Oracle really wants to make some money, they will never release any further SS updates, thus requiring customers to buy contracts to get the darn patch.
Check these prices for SS support contracts:
Sun Studio 12 Update 1 Standard Sun Software Service Plan 1-year
    $1,015.00
Sun Studio 12 Update 1 Premium Sun Software Service Plan 1-year
    $1,218.00

  • AAC/MPEG-4 support patch for abcde

I got bored to day and made up this patch for abcde that adds support for AAC using the M4A extension.
It uses FAAC as the encoder and also patches abcde to version 2.2.3
I have not tested it yet so bear with me...i'll post my test results later.
You'll have to manually add the "M4AENCOPTS=" variable to the config
    usage is: abcde -o m4a
UPDATED: fixed a plethora of typos
another side note is the fact FAAC must be compiled with mpeg-4 support, the Archlinux package for FAAC isn't, so therefore this could be a problem unless you compile FAAC yourself. I submitted a feature request to get mp4 support added.
the following is the 2.2.0 to 2.2.3 update+AAC patch. I will submit a AAC patch for the newest release to the developers of abcde later on.

Since the data source is static, it's easy to offset and limit the

Well, putting all that Java code into a JSP was a bad idea in the first place, just on general design principles. But you've done it in such a way that the result of compiling the JSP is malformed Java code. Frankly I would just throw it away and put the Java code into a servlet or some other Java class, where it belongs.
But if you're really working in a place where nobody has learned anything since 2003, and you're forced to support that old junk, then I would point out that the error occurs before the place which generates this line:
import java.util.*;You only need to look at two of the thousand lines of code you posted.
