JDI - Import 3rd party vendor code?

I'm currently investigating JDI and how we're going to implement it.  I think we're most likely going to start with a 2+ environment, with perhaps moving to 3 soon after.
I have a question regarding 'vendor branches'.  Using a tool such as CVS or Subversion, it was a simple task to import 3rd party source into a branch, and use that branch for builds.  Does JDI have a similar capability?
My guess it that you would create a workspace and import the vendor code into that workspace.  Or, would you create a track for the vendor code, and specify a dependancy on that track?  This would imply a Scenario 3 environment.
Any guidance you have would be appreciated.

When a third party order is saved for items to be delivered by the vendor, a purchase requisition is created in the background, which is then converted to purchase order. In your case you have CMIRs for various customers neverthless if the Material is shipped only by the vendor then you can have the Item usage in the CMIRs and have a item category determination configured for this combination, which will determine a third party item category for these CMIR material when is used in third party orders, that triggers a purchase requisition.

    In order to do that, you need to maintain that Vendor in Purchase Order.
    Path:
    Header --> Partners Tab --> Function Partner { as GS (Goods Supplier) in my company }. Then enter the Vendor Code in Partners Tab.

I'm not too sure if it's a separate product from their standard remote support products or just an added feature. Also I am aware that Bomgar's licensing can be pretty pricey.The second product I was looking into is called SecureLink. It seems to have all of the bases covered in terms of auditing and restricting but there are not a whole lot of reviews of the product or live demonstrations of it. Even the video on their site shows XP screens so I'm fearful that the product development has been halted.If anyone has any experience with these products or others I would be very interested to hear what you have to say.

  • 3rd party dropshipment carried out by more than one 3rd party vendor

    I am wondering if the following is possible in standard SAP on a third party drop shipment scenario..
    I would like 1200pcs quantity to split up into 3 different shipments (each shipment = 400pcs) and drop ship by three different 3rd party vendors (ie. Vendor A, B, C).
    Is this possible in standard SAP?
    In another word, if the standard SAP is able to carried out this business in the system, will the three PO being able to be tracked by the SO?
    If it is possible, how do I perform this in the SAP system via ME57?

    Yes, it is possible but you need to have 3 PIR's with each vendor and also need to have 3 lines in Source list but w/o any tick for fixed vendor. Here are the steps:
    Create TAS Sales order 1200 Qty--> It will create a Preq with 1200 Qty and delivery address of customer>When Buyer will convert that PReq to PO using ME57 system will give you a pop up message showing all the three vendors , buyer needs to select one supplier and change the qty accordngly in PO-> same steps needs to repeated 3 times using same Preq.

    I have configured the Anyconnect in network.
    Now i need to get cert from 3rd party vendor so that when users login they should not get warning that this network is untrusted.
    Need to know what info i need to get from ASA so that i can get the SSL cert from the vendor?
    Also need to know if i can enable user authentication based on this cert also?
    Currently auth is done via radius?

    Each issuer's requirements vary but you generally need to submit a CSR (Certificate Signing Request) to the issuing Certificate Authority (CA). They will sign and issue a certificate for your ASA and email it back to you (or send you a link to download). You'll then have a certificate (file) to install on your ASA.

    When a license is specified as "2 copy max", may I distribute to my out-of-town business partner.  If so both copies should still be in my name?

    You could try calling CS, but other than that I don't think there is.

  • Linking 3rd Party Vendor invoice to customer invoice

    We have a requirement in 3rd party order processing. Client wants us to link the vendor invoice to the customer invoice. For example, in a 3rd party order, the customers orders 100 qty of MATERIAL A. Then a PR, PO is generated for 100 qty. Vendor delivers it in 3 shipments say 30, 30 & 40. Requirement is that for each invoice the vendor raises( 30, 30 & 40), client wants the system to raise 3 separate customer invoices, though the customer invoice is created after recieving all vendor invoices.
    Do let me know if there is any control to have the above requirement met?

    In the standard the TAS item category as rightly mentioned has F as billing relevance. Which says status according to invoice qty which in case of 3rd party sceanario is Vendor Invoice verified in MIRO.
    If the 3rd party is already there in your case, the standard if used to customise it, shoiuld be enough to take care of your sceanario .
    What exact error or problem do you face ?

    software on Windows systems, but does not make make an analogous product
    for Unix systems, where database software (generally) uses the JDBC
    protocol.

    That is not what the answer is.
    I don't think you read the message above or are familar with Oracle. The database does indeed support the generated keys through their "sequence" objects.
    Also if you look above, both BEA and I-Net Software have a driver which supports this method.
    What I am looking for is a list of any other 3rd party drivers, particularly if there is an open source one, that way I can evaluate which is best for my project.

  • Importing 3rd party plug-ins into CS5

    Coming from CS3, I've tried drag and drop but no joy. 
    How do I get my plug-ins/filters moved over - or do I have to continue to use CS3 if I want to use them???
    It's been some time and I'm not sure I even have the original installers or not - it would take some real hunting around to find them if I did.  Some don't matter if I lose them, while many are used often.  There *should* be a simple drag and drop, migrate or import function for this - where is it?

    Well where the heck are they supposed to go then?  :-/   Their installers put them in the Plug-Ins folder...
    I found for the couple I really wanted to import, and tried, once in 32 bit mode on startup (Switch this under "Get Info" for those reading along) -  they worked just fine.  Yes, 64 bit would probably be better, but I suspect that in many cases 64 bit "upgrades" aren't free - even though the features are no different.
    For now, for my needs, this works and has been solved - thanks!

  • Importing 3rd-party WARs (jspellhtml2k4.war)

    Hi Portal Knowledgeable ones,
    I need to import a 3rd-party WAR into Netweaver EP6 SP13.  The 3rd-party documentation indicates that I should be able to deploy the WAR directly into any J2EE-compliant server.  Unfortunately, I don't see that this is an option into NW.  NW doesn't seem to understand WARs.  The 3rd-party WAR is for the JSpell application, a spell-checker.  The WAR name is jspellhtml2k4.war. 
    How should I go about importing this WAR into SAP NW?

    Perhaps you could wrap your war into an SDA file, using NetWeaver development Studio, WebDynpro. In that way, the war is included in a file acceptable for SAP EP. Finally, use SDM to deploy, or even the NWDS.

  • What is the best way to match back 3rd party vendor data to our SQL Server Database?

    So we have this 3rd party data that we need to match back to our database. We have determined that the "ID" column that the 3rd party is sending us back data is a concatenated key of our member's SSN, Gender, and CCYYMMDD Birthdate. In 90% of the
    cases, we can match back on this. However, the other 10% we have to try a couple of different ways...using our Member #, using what is called a HFCA #.
    We are talking about 10s and 20s of data here...NOT thousands.
    What is the best way to handle this via SSIS? A SQL Server Stored Procedure to cursor through the 3rd party data or multiple INSERT-SELECT statements trying to marry back the data? My thought process was to cursor through each record, try and match on our
    90% match, and then determine if we have a match or not, and then if we do not, then try our other means. Should I SELECT 1 to see which matching criteria to go with? So in other words, for the first match...
    IF EXISTS(SELECT 1 FROM TableName WHERE ColumnName1 = .....) BEGIN....ELSE...Blah Blah Blah
    or simply continue doing INSERT-SELECTS...
    I guess I am asking about the efficiency of using a cursor within a SQL Server Stored Procedure here.

    You are asking a SSIS question but posted in tsql - which is it?  But before you go further, which matching logic should have priority?  Member # or the SSN/gender/birthdate? Note that the priority does not depend on matching success percentage. 
    In other words, you may prefer to match on member # first (even though it has a lower success ratio but a higher confidence ratio), followed by ssn..., followed by whatever. 
    In any case, this sounds much more like a SSIS logic issue.  Your questions regarding cursors and stored procedures seem premature at this point. OTOH it may depend on what you are actually trying to accomplish.  

  • Visual Studio 2013 Pro - Winforms toolbox icons beside items are missing for some 3rd party vendors controls

    I noticed last weekend after installing VS 2013.4 update that the Winforms toolbox, while showing all items, did not display the icons beside the items for any custom/third party Winform controls. The only icon
    showing in the toolboxes are the Pointer icon. I can select and drop any control onto a project, and as soon as I move mouse into the design surface the icon shows. Neither the
    builtin Winforms controls nor the WPF toolbox exhibit the same symptom. It is specific to Winforms third party controls (ActiPro and DevExpress). At first I thought it was due to the update, then I found that my laptop was
    already exhibiting this symptom, running 2013.3 (I had not dropped any controls from the toolbox in the past few weeks so I did not notice).
    The two machines (laptop and workstation) are running Windows 7 64-bit Professional and Ultimate, respectively. These machines are dedicated to development, and are secured, also running Norton Antivirus.
    I also have VS 2010 and VS 2012 which don't exhibit the symptom, though I finally removed 2012 last night during my adventures. I had all three VS side by side, running well for months (I added VS 2013 in June). VS
    2013 had been functioning well on a daily basis for the dozen or so Winforms projects and the odd WPF or MVC project.
    I use DevExpress v2014 and ActiPro controls; I have been using them for years now.
    I've spent 2 days trying remedies that include:
    Resetting Toolbox
    Removal of *.spd files in %APPDATA%, restarting VS
    Uninstall Visual Studio, remove and delete of any Visual Studio remnant in the registry, Program Files(x86), %APPDATA% and %PROGRAMDATA%, reinstall.
    Repeat step 3 with VS 2013.1 and .3
    Downgraded .NET to 4.5.1 to match my third, correctly functioning computer (also running Windows 7 x64 Ultimate).
    DevExpress has told me this isn't a problem they have seen. At first I agreed, since my ActiPro controls also are missing their icons, but then I noted that other vendor controls display fine. Not sure what else to do but to nuke the workstation and install
    from OS up.

    Since I cannot post screenshots here on MSDN forum (I explained above, when I try to attach pictures I

    This appears to be a bug in Visual Studio 2013. VS 2010 and 2012 are on the same machine and do not exhibit
    the problem. It is frustrating how unresponsive Microsoft is to my issue. I am a long-time MSDN subscriber, as well as customer of multiple seats of the retail copies of Visual Studio. It looks like the only way to get attention is to pay for a incident. If
    Microsoft is interested in actually seeing this bug in action, I have 2 machines that are preserved. I have installed a fresh environment on my backup PC.

  • Importing 3rd party loops doesnt work

    in logic pro x when i drag and drop loops from my loop library folders they dont import at all (worked fine in logic 8). the popup window asks where i want to use them from and no matter if i choose original location or import to new folder they dont show up in the loop browser.
    anyone know why?
