The problem:
when running: appletviewer RE.html, after inputing the server address and port, the applet gave the information: bea.jolt.SessionException: Cannot connect to any //135.125.18.148:6101.
Reason:NwHdlr: Cannot open socket.
and the shell gave the error: No permission to read enviornment variable JOLT_BINDADDR

Hello,
You need to modfiy java policy file(lib\security\java.policy) to grant some permissions on java appletviewer side.
1) connect permmision for outside connection.
Please make sure SocketPermssion has "connect" entry like this:
permission java.net.SocketPermission "*", "accept,connect,listen,resoven";
At least you need to have "connect" permission to outside address when using Repositry editor.
2)read permission for JOLT_BINDADDR
But this is not essential if you don't use JOLT_BINDADDR
Please add following entry.
permission java.util.PropertyPermission "JOLT_BINDADDR", "read";

Can not read shared variable on cRIO, error -1950678968 nitaglv

Hardware setup:
Laptop
Laptop connected via USB to a frammer garber.
Laptop IP: 192.168.0.2
NI vision calculating a diameter and setting a network varaible
cRIO
cRIO connected to the laptop
cRIO IP: 192.168.0.1
Project has the shared variable in the cRIO library
NI vision writes to the variable on the cRIO. I can see the variable properly updating in system manager on the cRIO. I can also run a VI in my computer that shows the variable properly updating. But...... When I read the variable with a VI running on the cRIO, I get the folowing error and the variable never updates:
Error -1950678968 occurred at Shared Variable in Main.vi
Possible reason(s):
LabVIEW: Failed to load nitaglv, which is required for Network-Published Shared Variables.
This error or warning occurred while reading the following Shared Variable:
\\NI-cRIO-OASIS\cRIOVariableLib\BubbleDiameterFromVision
\\192.168.0.1\cRIOVariableLib\BubbleDiameterFromVision
(I do not get any errors at deloyment)
So everything (NI Vision, a VI deployed on the laptop, NI Distributed System Manager) can see the variable on the cRIO being updated by the NI Vision.... Except for a VI running on the cRIO.
I have verified that I have Network Variable Engine and Variable Client Support for RT installed on the cRIO. I have tried reinstalling all s/w on the cRIO. Tried rebooting all. And talked in a nice, positive, reassuring voice to the chassis.

I just had the same issue with my cRIO 9073 using NI RIO 3.6.0.
The problem is not caused by a corrupted project, but the improper installation of the OS on the target. There is nothing you can do using the SW installation wizard in MAX, as it does not matter if you intall a full RIO SW, minimal or custom.
You have to install the full install or a custom one with Shared Variable support. Then you have to FTP to the cRIO, and manually edit the "ni-rt.ini" file located in the root of the controller.
Make sure you have a line in the "[MODULE VERSIONS]" section which shows the version of the nitaglv.out file. (The problem is caused because this dll is not loaded when you try to access a SV) Mine looks like nitaglv.out=6.3
Then you have to insert "nitaglv.out;" without quotes to the [LVRT] section's StartupDLLs key's value. I did it after the taggerrt.out name. So my key entry now looks like this:

After you are done with the editing, you have to save the file, and overwrite the original one. You have to reboot the controller for the modification to take effect.
After this you will be able to host your variables on the cRIO and also read/write them from the application running on that same target.

Error: items cant be copied to desktop, bc you dont have permission to read

I am trying to install an adobe program via cd installation. I have a macbook air. I am using pc's cd drive through the network.
I contacted Adobe support and they told me to copy all the contents of the installation disk onto my Mac desktop, then install.
The Setup folder from the installation disk will not copy from the network drive to my Mac desktop.
I get this error: "Items can't be copied to desktop because you dont have permission to read them."
Any help is appreciated.

Everything seemed to transfer properly. A few files were read-only and would not transfer.
But, my mac is stuck at the intial installer load-up. The small window says "Adobe Creative Suite 4 Master Collection Installer: Initializing" -- "Checking System Profile"
The loading bar on the screen has not moved in 30 minutes. I canceled the install and started over, but the same thing happens again.
Would the install have a better chance of working if I bought an external CD drive?

i have two network drive and i am trying to copy a file from my mac mini to one of the network drives, but i keep getting this error message "One or more items can’t be copied because you don’t have permission to read them." i have no idea why this is since i have always been able to copy stuff back and forth. i checked my file sharing permissions and it is set to read and write for admin (me), none for everyone and read for guests. can someone please, this is very annoying and this is the second time it has happened to me.

My query is running testing fine in RSECADMIN under some username..but when i try and open it using analyzer (under same username) it gives me error that "specify a value for variable posting period (single value entry, mandatry)" it does'nt even asks to enter variable values and gives this error message.
However the same query appears to be working fine under different username.

Just do one thing compare the Roles of two different users for which Query is getting executed and not.
Check the Object S_RFC.
Compare the Objects detail for Both the Users.

The error is probably due to one of the reasons:
1. There is no file in the location: /software/d01/oracle/interface/finance/inbound/email.9Nemail.13111507.3445704.cnv.
2. No permission on the file respective file.
Please get the assistance from the DBA to check on this.

So try it.
Create a connection with no settings.
Alter all of the (session only)
Query again and see.
Either the query will return the altered values or it won't.

Unable to read shared variable in signal express

Dear all,
I am trying to read a shared variable with data type 'Array of Double Waveform' and the signal express gives a network variable error stating
"The data type of specified shared variable xxxxxx is not supported".
could any one explain why is this not supported or suggest a work around.

Hi Munir,
the datatype you want to use is not supported in Signal Express. So if you choose this datatype you always get this error massage. As a work around I can recomment you to take the Double Waveform datatype this is supported, create a shared variable for each array element (waveform) and read this variable in Signal Express. This should help you out.

Can read sharred variable only when the vi is ran a second time

In an initialization VI, a shared variable is populated with information from a config file. There is no problem here. The variable is written to. However, when I read from the shared variable in a second vi, the variable only appears to have content the second time the vi is open and ran. First time the vi is open an ran, it errors, saying the shared variable is empty. I tried saving the shared variable library, click deploy and even auto deploy on the library and then saving the project, but nothing happens. Any experiences, tips, ideas or handfulls of money that may help?

You have not specified whether you are creating a single-process shared variable or a network published. In both cases, LabVIEW creates the 'client-side' buffer the first time a Shared Variable node
attempts to read from the shared variable. This behavior
results in a value not being read the first time or a slighlty longer time on the initial execution. Try to read the variable at least once outside the loop to 'warm up' and then read inside the loop. Have a look at the following article:

According to your description, you mean that when you run your load test using the Test Iterations way and then get the error message, am I right?
If yes, please you try to close the VS, and then open this VS again. Then clean your load test project/solution and then re-build it, run your load test again check this issue again.
In addition, I suggest you could try to create a new load test and then run it using Test Iterations way check if you get the issue for the specified load test or all load tests.
If possible, I suggest you could share me simple load test for us so that we will further help you.
