JFET Curve Tracer Problem

Hello All,
I have tried everything to get this circuit to work, but it just won't cooperate. I put it on a breadboard and used myDAQ as a function generator and it worked just fine on an old Tektronics scope. Hi Barry,
It looks like the problem is R1, move it around and you will see the problem.
I replaced the Tektronix scope with the 2-channel, the B/A button is easier to access.

i don't have tools needed but , i see one thing is that you enqueue
every time you are greater 3 that means about every 2-3 ms so consumer is really sought
is it really what you want ?
may be you want to start on a treshold so you can use a treshold fonction
if i don't make mistake your square is 10 hz and the daq is configured 25000 sample 25000 hz
so you aquire 1s of signal every 100ms , there is something to correct
make tests and tell us

No.
Working only with Flash Builder 4 to compile, but you can switch the flash player versions anyway.
And when my flash version is up to 10.1 the trace console commes crazy, and brokes the debbug session.
But never mind, i did kill the OS already in order to keep working.

Which language is better to develop the software that controls the Tektronix-Sony 370A Curve tracer and how to approach it. I a a fresher in this field. Please any one help us developing the software.

If you're looking to develop a driver for the instrument, one already exists and can be download here or you can get it off of the driver disk that comes with LabVIEW. If you're asking for the best language in which to write an application program that uses the driver, the obviously the answer is going to be LabVIEW. Note that you might get a different answer if you post the question to a Visual Basic or C++ forum but those answers would be wrong.

Does anybody know how to modify the driver for the Tektronix 370A curve tracer so that it will work with the 370B?

I am trying to control a Tektronix 370B curve tracer using LabView via a GPIB interface. However, there are no drivers available for download for the 370B. There is one available for the 370A, but it is not compatible with the 370B and I have been unable to figure out how to modify it to make it work with the 370B. Does anyone know how to modify this driver, or know of an existing driver that works with the 370B? Thanks!

Yeah, unfortunately, the Tektronix 370B does not currently have an instrument driver and the driver for the 370A is not supported by National Instruments (it is just posted on our website as a courtesy) - so I am afraid that there is not really any more information on the differences that might exist between the two available from National Instruments. As an alternative, you can always develop your own driver using the VISA and 488.2 drivers + a copy of the user manual for the Tektronix 370B. Otherwise, you may consider speaking with Tektronix or getting ahold of a User Manual for the 370A and comparing some of the settings - there are likely some differences in your configuration options at the very least. Or, if someone out there has tackled this before and shares their knowledge...

Curve Tracer Program

I am working on a Curve Tracer project. The purpose of the project is to plot the Current Voltage curves of two and three terminal devices like diodes and transistors. I have a dll file of the program that performs the required function. But the program that I have is of a older version of LabView ( don�t know which version). Is it possible in anyway to convert the whole program( including the sub vi�s ) into LabView 7.0. In the program I have 2 AO channels and 4 AI channels connected to the DAQ board. If you want me to send more information on what I am trying to achieve I can do that.

Sorry for the confusion I am creating. I was of the belief that I needed use the DAQ assist wizard (version 7.0) to configure the input and the output channels. According to what I think( please correct me if i am wrong) the version 6.0 has a different method of configuring the AI and AO channels and you need to mention the Vout and Vin and buffer rate individually, where as in the DAQ assist wizard ( version 7.0) you can do all this by going though the wizard and the whole step is shown in one icon ( which contains input range, scan rate ). Now my question is do I need to change the AI and AO channels according to version 7.0 DAQ assist wizard or use the orignal program ( version 6.0) and use the channels
mentioned in it AI 3,2,1,0 channels and AO 1,0 channels.
In the program I am trying plot the current and voltage of a two or three terminal device. The Analog output channel AO(1) drives the input side of the device and sets a series of constant levels which is set on the front panel of the VI and AO(0) drives the output side of the device, giving a linear sweep between two levels set in the front panel. The AI is used to measure the values at four different points on the circuit ( figure I am attaching as an attachment). I am sorry for not being more detailed in my earlier mails.
The two questions I have is
1. Do I need to you the DAQ assist ( version 7.0) in the program and if yes what changes do I need to bring about from the original author's VI.
2. If I using the version 6.0 program , do I need to do anyother configuration or can I straight away use the DAQ channels 0, 1, 2, 3 as Analog input channels and 0, 1 in case of the Analog output channels.

Does NI have a LabVIEW vi to simulate a curve tracer?

Does any version of LabVIEW have a vi in its library to simulate a curve tracer, or would the user need to design it him/herself?

LabVIEW does not have a VI to simulate a curve tracer. You can search the forums for threads like this thread of people simulating curve tracers.

BB curve message problem

hii,i have bb curve 8520 but its giving me some problem regarding message, wenever i get a new msg from any particular number the last recieved msg from d same number gets deleted automically. i have tried updating os from 4 to 5 and then again from 5 to 4 but it did not helped. pls help !! asap !!

I explain
Message appears in green is because you left the message written but not sent.
If left blank in the message or letter will now be displayed in green which means composed message.
You can also delete the message as the content of what you were or were writing within the message to the recipient..

EM BPMN Flow Trace problem after upgrading to 11.1.1.4

I upgraded SOA Suite from 11.1.1.3 to 11.1.1.4. New BPMN process instances seem to get created without problems. But when I select a process instance in the Flow Trace page of Enterprise Manager, a new page is shown which only contains the three tags "Audit Trail", "Flow" and "Faults" and nothing else. The following error is also generated:

Any idea of what the problem might be?

This all worked fine with the previous version. I'm not thinking it has anything to do with Essbase. I think there might be a problem with the install since using Is Prompted doesn't even work and it did in the older version.
I did try it with the default and that part worked (i.e., it queried based off the default value when initially opening the dashboard), but when I select from the dropdown prompt I get:
dashboard.variables['varPickDiv']
added to the dropdown list. This seems to me like something wrong is going on.
Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. I may just end up doing a new install after backing up all my work and then just add those files back in.

9300 Curve wifi problem - cannot connect to internet using only wifi once data turned off

I've got a 9300 Curve with a data plan from Rogers. I want to use my wifi in hotspots when I go overseas without using my data. I have no problems connecting to wifi networks. Once I turn off my data services, my connections to the wifi network show that the signal is still just as strong, but I can't use my browser, facebook, bbm, etc. - message is "unable to connect to internet" when I try and access my browser. This problem occurs whether I'm using a public hotspot or my home router. I used to be able to access wifi without using data from Rogers on my older Curve (can't remember the model), so I don't think it has anything to do with my plan.
Any suggestions/advice would be much appreciated!

Did you mean "leave data ON and turn off data roaming"? But that would just turn off my data while I'm roaming, and while I'm not roaming, it'll still access through data and not through wifi like I would prefer. That's what I understand, but pls correct me if I'm wrong! I guess I meant to also mention that whether I'm in my home zone or overseas, I still can't use my browser, bbm, etc through wifi only, with data turned off...it just says there's no connection to the server/internet, even though it shows that I'm connected to a wifi network.

PS CS4: Straight, hard lines instead of soft curves, history problems?

sometimes Photoshop (Intuos 4, AMD Phenom2 X6 [email protected]) draws a hard line at full pressure instead of a soft, dynamic curve. It simply connects the starting and ending point. Painting ia 20000x14000@16GB Ram with PS using 12GB, painting size 6GB.
I also experienced when going back history states with ctrl-alt-z the tool automatically switches to zoom, and sometimes history just jumps back to the latest state.
Could this be a history lag? Any chance to fix this?

Before upgrading my machine and OS from Win7 to Win8 I had a similar problem, which was that the same thing happened, but there was part of that straight line missing. So there was a dot, break, and then the straight line. In between lies a new OS plus new hardware.
So you suspect it's a Wacom bug?

8330 Curve MMS Problem

You have probably ALL heard about some BBs not retrieving MMS picture of video messages. Well, Here's my story...
I had a Pearl 8130. I called my provider (Verizon) because I couldn't retrieve picture messages. Always said "Not retrieved yet", then I'd click retrieve now, it'd pop up saying retrieving now, and close immediately. Tried battery pulls, re-registering with the network... You name it, I probably tried it. So like i said, i called Verizon. They took 3 days "investigating" the issue to come back and say, your phones broke. Woot! *morons*. So i gave them a hard time, cause its a real pain to get new keys for all my apps n what not. So they agreed to upgrade me to a brand new Curve 8330 for my troubles. Well, I got my shiny new Curve today, and guess what?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! MMS still dont work...
So... I have search high and low, and tried all i have found to fix this problem. Nothing seems to work, Does anyone else know? Perhaps something to have Verizon look into? something they normally wouldn't check? Or a weird setting? Bad app, that causes problems? Anything? I'll try anything. I love the BBs, but i need my picture messaging. Hope someone can help. Thanks for reading my life story *Boring*

Another thing I had to do (for my T-Mobile BlackBerry) was to make sure that Enable Push was enabled in Options > Advanced Options > Browser Push. Once I enabled that (along with Enable MDS Push and Enable WAP push) my MMS messages worked fine.
Now I don't know if a Verizon device will have those same settings, but you can check it out.

Curve fitting problem: simultaneously fitting two datasets to two different model functions with shared parameters

Hello! As stated above, I have the following problem: I have 2 sets (different systems) of measurement data (Voltages measured as functions of applied frequency). I would like to make curve fits with Levenber-Marquardt-method to both datasets (the datasets have the same x-values = frequencies), fitting the 2 datasets to their own separate model functions. However, the different model functions should have same values for the shared parameters (this prevents me from doing 2 totally separate curve fittings).
I have LabVIEW version 7.1, if anybody could help me with the problem, I would appreciate it very much. Thank you!

Hey Guys ! First of all, I'm new to the community and looking forward to be as active as possible to help people and get help from professionals ! (And sorry for my bad english tho :/..)
So here's the problem ...... I bought a blackbery Curve 9300 today, and what happens, is when I try to update it, it gave me at first, error 507 (Which means there's no OS in the device I suppose) ... when I tried to update it again, it gets stuck on ''Reconnecting to JVN'' or ''JVM'' can't remember ..... ive been trying to find a solution for hours and stil no luck .... i tried pulling the battery out and putting it back in, but doesnt work ..... a pop up message told me to go to control panel, check for USB Root hub and put a check mark on a certain option, but they were already checked ..... this situation is extremely frustrating because the guy from whom i bought the phone doesn't answer anymore, and I don't really want to take it to a store to repair it for like 60-80 $ or whatever ..... if possible, I'd like to get some help please !!!

Error code 507 comes when there is no OS installed in your device.
Try downloading appropriate OS and install it.

Can Anyone Help Me With My Curve 9320 problem?

I need help with my phone, I got the Curve 9320, its registered with the wireless network, I can call and sent txt but I can't load up BBM, nor can I set my email account to the phone, which is a hotmail account which I could really use my phone being connected to, can someone suggest anything to help me get my phone fully working?

So to resolve your issue can you try those steps !
First on your Homescreen Go to Options > Device > BlackBerry ID > please check if you're already login with your BlackBerry ID .Then within that screen Press the menu key > Check for Updates ( If it prompts for update install it ) . Once it done perform a battery pull restart by removing the battery while your device is Powered On wait for a min. then re-insert it back. your device may take a long reboot.
Then try those steps in the same sequence :
1- Register your Handheld .
KB00510 : How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Wait till a Registration messages comes in your message box.
2- Resend your Service Book
KB02830 : Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
( Wait till a Registration Message comes in your message box for each email that you have configured on your device )
3- Then perform a battery pull restart like this while the device is powered On remove your battery wait for a min. then reinsert it back
After perform those steps , For Email Setup :
Go to Setup > Email Account > try it again , it error persists then from your BlackBerry browser browse to www.blackberry.com/integrate and add / edit your email account .
For BBM :
Open BBM and see if completes the setup Or you have to reinstall it again , but before that you have to delete any existing version of BBM from Options > Device > Application Management > locate and delete BlackBerry Messenger from that list . When its done perform another battery pull reboot
Finally from your BlackBerry browser browse to www.blackberry.com/bbm and download the most recent version available for your device . Reboot your device and see if it completes the BBM setup.
Please try those steps and let us know of your progress.
