JInternalFrame control bypass

We have an applet that contains some JinternalFrames that contain JLists. I am pretty new to Swing and now I am trying to implement functionality to the JLists. One is drag-and-drop and the other one is mouse right click popup menu. Both work but there is a slight problem with them.
Both functions have to do with mouse clicks and now the case is so, that the first click that is made on the JList, is received by the JInternalFrame and not the JList. So the JInternalFrame receives the focus with the first click and then the next ones are received by the JList. I should somehow bypass the JInternalFrame and let the mouse click go "through" it to the JList. Just don't know how...
Anybody have a solution for this really annoying behaviour?

Your problem is essentially a focus management issue. At any given point of time, onle one JInternalFrame can hold the application focus. Your first click is consumed in transferring the focus to the JInternalFrame you click on. Components cannot receive InputEvents until their container gains focus, hence the need for the second click to initiate the drag gesture on the JList.
So, this is not a problem but infact specified behavious.

Unfortunately I made an experiment: making a standard user account with parental controls and putting in a random password to my admin account. I entered Osx utilities, entered Terminal, and typed ths command: resetpassword -Then I was confronted by a window with the reset password, selected the Mac HD, and selected root. I typed a password for it, remembered it, saved changes, and then i finally rebooted the computer. When it started up, I was faced with the usual login screen, but there was an "other" user button. I clicked it, and i typed root as username, and put the password i reset to earlier. I pressed enter, and walaa! I was logged in as the super admin account "root". In the same case as if a child had parental controls and he did not know the password of the admin that put him/her parental controls, with some experience in computing they could have done the utilities thing and reset the password of the root and logged in as it, and would have been free to do anything and bypassed Parental controls. He/She would be in full control of the computer and without the parent's consent. Can you apple employees or anyone here that can contact one alert apple of this flaw? Now kids could bypass parental controls on any mac, and without the parents knowing. Of course there are other ways, but this is the most effective. Can they fix this? any kid would take full control of any mac, on any OS X version.
Its not right. Even on school computers this could happen. Please can apple fix this? Imagine the kids taking control of any mac around the world!

You can set a firmware password (http://osxdaily.com/2014/01/06/set-firmware-password-mac/) if necessary, which prevents anyone from resetting the password in that way. Most institutions, such as schools, use this. Otherwise, there is no real way to prevent a child from doing this if they really want to - the best prevention is communication about acceptable and unacceptable behaviour. Or, just encourage their intellectual curiosity - I imagine this is how most programmers and developers first got into computers!

I can't change the volume of the sound over time within a clip.

I want to adjust the level of the sound within a clip. I take my pen tool and just add 2 keyframes a few seconds apart from eachother. I adjust the height of the last keyframe, but when I playback NOTHING happends. This is so annoying because it has always worked. I use Premiere Pro 5.5.

I'm having the same problem. The volume controls and volume keyframes suddenly stop working. I've been having it occur a lot, both on my 2011 iMac running Mavericks and my 2013 MacBook Pro Retina running Mountain Lion, two entirely different systems. It seems to start happening at random while editing projects, and I can't figure out how to make it stop.
I attached a screenshot to show the audio meters displaying loud sound output, even though sole unmuted track has keyframes all the way down at "negative infinity" decibels.
I have done the following things to troubleshoot:
-restarted computer, restarted premiere
-re-rendered the sequence
-tried removing and reapplying volume keyframes
-double check that the track volume is untouched, at 0db
-double check that the master volume is untouched, at 0db
-checked that the volume control bypass is not on
-tried muting and unmuting the track
-tried on a different operating system
However, changing the audio gain (by ctrl-clicking on the audio track, and changing the entire gain of the clip), does still work.

For some reason when I shut down my computer then turn it back on, it comes back directly into my account, bypassing having to enter a password to get into my account. This works in direct conflict with the parental controls I've got set up. Any ideas?

How to control the location of Iconified JInternalFrame?

Is there any way to control the location of Iconfied JInternalFrame on JDesktopPane? I've searched API reference and tried to find suitable methods to override in UI classes. But I still cannot figure out how to do it after a long time. Who have any ideas about it? Thank you very much.

Bypassing Activate Flash Control in Internet Explorer

I am working on a website in Dreamweaver that uses a Flash
based navigation bar. However, IE makes the user click once to
"activate" the SWF, and then the user must click again on the
button on the navbar to access the page the button points to. This
makes it harder for the user to use the nav bar in IE, and more
than 95% of the client's website users will be using Internet
Explorer. I have heard about a way to bypass this, and
automatically "activate" the control.
Is this something that is easy to fix? Is there just a piece
of HTML code that I can paste in?

No, you can't bypass the passcode that way. You probably have your passcode set for a delay. Unless you have your passcode set for Immediatly, the screen will mostly go to sleep ("Autolock") before the phone locks. The default time for the phone to go to sleep is 1 minute. The default time for the passcode to kick in is 15 minutes. So, in those 14 minutes, the phone is not passcode locked. That's the way it's supposed to work. If you set the passcode to kick in as soon as the phone goes to sleep, the steps you outline do NOT let you bypass the lock code. I've verified this on my iPhone and iPad.

Parental Controls trivial to bypass in any home router?

In trying to figure out why the parental controls in my Linksys router were not working, I learned that my kid had trivally by-passed the parental controls that I had set up. I found his PC was associated with multiple MAC addresses. A simple google search found this Youtube video that even a grade school kid could follow. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fqdib7D-MCY At the end, the poster goes to the Linksys help page for Parental Control just to laugh. This means at All MAC based access controls and parental controls are useless in any product. More research on DNS based partental controls shows they are trival to bypass as well. Installing a control on his PC requires taking away Admin access from his Window login and prevent software install, but then I have to install all the games and software and that's easy to circumvent too. Any recommendations other than taking my kids computer away?

Not sure this works but try setting up the MAC allow list for only the one MAC that is on the pc itself. set it up under Wireless>MAC filtering and click on the Allow button and add only the addresses you want ot have access. Unless your kid knows the password of the router and is able to changes settings in the router then when he changes his MAC is should not connect at all.edit: to add to this. you would need to use the mac filtering as well as the parental controls. If he changes his mac and it still gets in then that is definately a problem. Move the pc to the living room. Best parental control there is!

HT2900 Forgot user & password for Safari parental controls. Is there a bypass?

We set up parental control on Safari but forgot the username and password needed to change or reset the parental control settings. Is there a bypass in order to turn the controls off?

Any user with Admin access to the Mac should be able to use their account name and password to unlock the Accounts Preferences and access parental controls.

I hope someone on here may be able to help with this. I figured it might be good to ask about this on a popular board geared towards general non-technical user like myself.
I use the app SelfControl [http://selfcontrolapp.com] to help me manage my internet addiction. The app's great. It really helps--when it's running.
I've been trying to set it up so it automatically starts at certain times of the day [i.e. every day 10pm-7am], Using the guide found here [ http://hints.macworld.com/article.php?story=20100801214648362,] I've been able to integrate SelfControl into my iCal, to set it up as a recurring iCal event.
But SelfControl requires my admin password to actually initiate the the internet block. So right now, I have to manually enter the password every time iI want to run SelfControl--even when it's automatically launched as an event from iCal. This kind of makes the app useless as I can just not enter the password and continue surfing endlessly.
Basically, I need some help figuring how to bypass the password request/have it inputted automatically. I did try following the instructions found in the above link about using keychain access, etc but none of it seemed to work--SelfControl still prompts me for my password.
I am hoping someone here can help me out; the instructions in the above page are a little too technical for me to fully comprehend (and the forum linked above is now permanently closed)
I'm the only user of my laptop, if that makes a difference. I am running OS 10.10.1 Yosemite.

Control assignments bypass environment settings?

I have UC33 which has 8 channels and I would like to control more tracks in Logic.
I've set up environment so that I can switch to control channels 1-8, 9-16, etc., and it works ok in environment midi monitors. But as I midi learn some fader in control assignments, it stops going through environment settings and ignores my setup. So anything moves in environment after midi learn.
Is it supposed to work like this or am I missing something?

I see what you need... Right now I'm away of Logic but will try to assist.
You need to duplicate the incoming midi path and use the IAC port to make the trick.
1.Create several "Faders" in Click & Ports using the "New" menu.
2.Cable the faders serially and patch the last one to a Standard Instrument object which port is set to IAC bus/port.
3.Cable the first "Virtual Environment Fader" from the bottom cable of say the "Input View" Monitor ( this way you will duplicate the midi path ).
4.Select each Virtual Fader and assign its "Out" definition ( in the Inspector ) to match your hardware controller CC# etc.
5. Open the Controller Assignment dialog (CA) and learn any Logic parameter.
Note: During the "Learn" process you must use the Logic Environment Virtual Faders - i.e the CA will get the assignment from IAC port getting it is a hardware device !
After this procedure the trick must work... I.e your hardware CC# will not be eliminated from the "Physical Input" and they will go to the Sequencer using the top Monitor Cable, while the bottom monitor cable will carry the dummy copy using the IAC and will reach the CA.
You can delete the "Virtual Environment Faders" and cable the bottom "Input View" monitor cable directly to the IAC Instrument after the dummy learn processing.

Can anyone please get me through the solution for the below scenario:
- I have multiple XML files existing in the source system from where I need to read the data from each XML, validate and pull to staging database.
- So, to read the XML files from source, I have a foreach loop which will get the XML files from the source folder one by one and executes.
- There are multiple data flow tasks, script tasks, SQL tasks etc in the foreach loop to validate the business requirements.
Question: If there is an error in any of the component in foreach loop, it should log the error, come out of the loop from that point and pick up the next file with out stopping the execution. How can I achieve this?

Hi Sri,
According to your description, when there is an error in any of the component in Foreach Loop Container, you want to continue processing rest of the loop after recording the error file details.
To achieve your requirement, the first thing you need to do is create an OnError event handler for the Data Flow (or any other child executable). Once the event handler is created show the system variables in the variables window, locate the Propagate variable
and set it to false.

My Mac is bypassing a website filter... How can I stop it?

I am a computer technician at our local high school. Right now, the school has about 800 Dell computers, but we are planning on introducing a few Macintosh labs within the next school year.
Since they lack educational value, the school district's director of technology (my boss) has a web filter (Deep Nine) that blocks myspace, facebook, youtube, proxy sites, and other similar sites.
Myspace is blocked via a keyword filter, any page containing the word "myspace" in the url, or in the document a set number of times, is automatically blocked. The other sites are simply blocked by URL. This filter works perfectly on our Dells, no one can access Myspace, Facebook, Proxies, etc.
I brought my Macbook to work today, plugged it into the network, and logged onto the internet. I noticed instantly that my homepage (Facebook) loaded without being blocked at all. Curious, I tested myspace and youtube, and I could get on youtube fine, but myspace remained blocked.
I checked on the Dell next to me, and all those sites will still being filtered and blocked. Yet my Macbook was able to access them without issue. So it would appear that my Macbook has some mystic ability to bypass the web address filter, but it can not bypass the keyword filter.
I do not have any proxies configured. My Macbook connects to the network (and thus, the internet) the same exact way the other computers within the school do, with the exception of the other computers being within Active Directory.
I need to find out if it is an issue with the Mac or with our Filter. I don't have any other Macs available to test with (Our only other Mac in the school is our DHCP server, and we do not use servers as "lab rat" computers).
Has anyone had any similar issues with this? Or does anyone know of any way I can diagnose this with only one Mac and only one Filter?
Specs: OS 10.5.5, Safari 3.1.2, wired networking.

The DeepNines product works well and does much more than a simple URL filter. The problem lies entirely in your district setup and not in their product. If you're not using a proxy filter, then you have all access and routes designed to head out on typical port 80 traffic to your isp and ultimately the internet hence no proxy configs. The filter is integrated with LDAP accounts at each of your locations to tell it which users and groups are to get filtered at what level. That tie in is what breaks down who goes where. If you introduce new macs onto the network and they have not been configured to work with the DN appliance and are going out unfiltered... then there are 2 problems here. #1 is that you have computers attaching to the network, receiving leases and doing what they want. Use DHCP reservations or a whitelist to control who gets on your network. #2 is that your DeepNines filter has not been set to failover to BLOCK. Instead, it's allowing unknown users to bypass freely simply because it doesn't recognize their group/account. And Orange, stop slamming the company. They are a smaller business that has taken a much better approach to filtering than any other large corporation. Standard database driven URL filters DO NOT WORK....PERIOD! I challenge you to call any district that is running their appliance to get their opinion of it in comparison to any of the other basic url filters out there. I did just that last week and they had absolutely nothing but high praises for the DN product. One even laughed at Websense which they had before switching simply for the lack of ability to block anonymouse proxies.
