JMF device in use
Hi guys I'm developing a desktop application with jmf and a web cam, the main problem is when I open for the first time it work ok but when I close and open the form it throws an exception java.io.IOException: Capture device in use so I want to know how to fix this error

Maybe you're not releasing the resource correctly after use.

If you're using more than one input DataSource in the case when you have more than 1 client, then you're doing it wrong.
Assuming you're using the proper RTP infastructure, you'll just need to add each client as a target for the RTPManager. If what I just said doesn't make sense, then you're doing it wrong.

Detect whether capture device in use?
Hi
I want to detect whether the capture device in use in JMF.
I looked at the MediaLocator and CaptureDeviceInfo but I can't see any method to do that.
There is also no exception class for it?
So my questions are:
1) Whether we can detect a capture device in use?
2) Whether we can free the capture device ( The device is used by another thread or program) or to say take control of it.

K.1) Whether we can detect a capture device in use? If you know the media locator of the device, and you attempt to use it while it's in use... you'll get an exception thrown. Not sure which one, but I'd imagine an IOException of some sort...

Since the iOS7.0.2 update to my iPhone 4S, I can no longer choose use of my Bluetooth device if using the power cord to listen to MUSIC or answer my phone (choice of powercord as 'dock,' speaker, & phone only). Was this former-feature now an oversight?? I'd really appreciate having my Bluetooth once again listed as a choice of audio option. Especially considering the battery life is not what it was prior to this update, and requires recharging often.
Sorry to tell you but unless you have a Retail Apple Store close by, they are the only ones I have found with all the adapters and accessories. I bought an extra lightning to usb adapter the other day to use in my truck. Good luck....

we have a router at home that is supposed to support 10 devices but when i try to connect my mac book pro it says another device is using my computer's ip address
Are the IP addresses statically assigned (wrong ), or does the router give them out using DHCP (right )?

I have a wireless network at home. I run my iphone and ipad on it with no problems. Just purchased a MacBook Pro, and now my wi-fi keeps disconnecting and i get an error message saying another device is using the same IP address. What does all this mean?

Can I have one itunes account, but have two devices that used different email accounts?
I have an iPad2 and want to buy an iPod Touch for my daughter. I want it to use her email address, but use my itunes account. Can that be done?
The Apple/iTunes ID (which is a email address) is seperate from any mail accounts yu have on the iPod/iPad. Both devices can use the same Apple/iTunes ID but have different email address for the mail accounts on the devices.

If I have to load the same apple id on all devices to use home share, does that preclude each device from using a second apple id and does that constitute a separate Itunes db or something?

Only one of your libraries needs to use your iTunes Store Apple ID for home sharing. Your other computers can use their own ID for iTunes, so long as they use the same ID as all of the devices on the network for home sharing. -
I am trying to set up FaceTime on all my apple devices so I can FaceTime each device but all 3 devices are using the same apple Id and I have no idea how to sort this???
Facetime only works with two devices at a time. You can have the same Apple ID, but the two devices can't have the same email address. Get a new gmail account. Normally you use wifi for connection, however, with iOS 6 and an iPad 3 you can use cellular.

I saw one post where a user said dust got inside the small microphone hole. Using a vacuum cleaner removed the dust and restored the audio.

There are about 3 devices that use the same apple id. I would like to take my iphone and make my own apple id but I don't want to lose all the purchases that were made on the original apple id
You can sign out and sign in with the new ID. The old purchases wont go away.

If you mean an AirPort base station other than the Time Capsule, it doesn't have internal storage.
If you mean a Time Capsule, its internal drive can be used for regular file storage but shouldn't be; as with all drives, it'll eventually fail. You're better off using a standalone drive and setting Time Machine to back it up as well.

My six-year old grandson appears to be able to make purchases on the TV without having to enter the password and yet every other device i use (e.g. iPad, iPhone, iPod) is password protected. How is that possible when I have to use my password to access such services on all other devices?

Having AppleTV remember the password is optional.
Logout of iTunes store, log back in and hopefully next time you come to purchase you'll be prompted for your password but decline the option to remember it. You might also want to look out of parental controls on the unit.

Just tried to download and it wants me to buy it again? Is there some way around this? I guess I thought that was the whole point of the cloud, buy it once and access from any of your devices right?
Also, I have logged into the icloud.com as suggested and will plink around there for a bit and try to understand. It is just all so dang different that what I am used to; Apple's way, that is.

Geez. one other thing (I guess I am complaining) but I bought more space in the cloud, they took my cash fast enough but have not yet increase the size of my storage space yet? Is Apple sometimes slow to get internal stuff done?
