JMS Enqueue/Dequeue without using oracle.jms package

Hi,
Is it possible to successfully enqueue/dequeue messages from Oracle AQ using JMS which only uses the classes under javax.jms package, not the classes under oracle.jms package. If possible, can anybody please provide some step by step example.

You can get the connection factory and the queue from an application server's jndi. Create a resource provider reference in oc4j and get them from there. Read the oc4j services guide, oems (jms) chapter for how to do that.
I think if you are not using an application server you can also get the connection factory and queue from an ldap directory. check out Aq user guide for that.

Now instead of using the websphereMQ or any other third party software , can we create a a queue and queue manager(MQ terminology ) in the oracle application server. That's the right doc, you should create your destination and connection factory in jms.xml which is in j2ee/home/config directory.

How do I represent "LESS THAN" using Oracle XMLDOM Package

I am creating a xml file using Oracle XMLDOM package.
I am creating a Text node with value "&lt;". Following is the code that creates text node
CRRuleoptext := xmldom.createTextNode(MDRDocVal,var_mdr_rule_oper_flag);
The var_mdr_rule_oper_flag is coming from a table and its value is "&lt;"
But once the XML file is created I see
<RULEOP>&;#38;lt;</RULEOP>
instead of
<RULEOP>&lt;</RULE>
How do I get &lt; instead of &;#38;lt; using Oracle XMLDOM Package?

Just create a text node with a literal less-than sign "<", this will get serialized either as &;lt; or as &;XX; (where XX is the unicode value for less-than).

It is the first time I use the discussion function. Hope someone from Oracle supprot team can help me.
P.S. I have Oracle support CSI for DB but I don't find whhich category I should submit my question.
Here is the our case.
Our user is still running RHEL 4.8(9) on some servers. For some reason, they don't want to upgrade them at the moment. As you know, GHOST: glibc vulnerability has been announced recently. For RHEL4, they have to purchase ELS subscription to download the packages even though they have the license. Our user doesn't want to pay for that. Meanwhile, we find Oracle Linux provides a package to fix the problem. We told them this finding and they would like to use Oracle Linux patch.
But to better explain the situation to them, we want confirm with Oracle about several points.
1. The patch can be downloaded and used for free but there is no support from Oracle,right?
2. Is it possbile to have the support from Oracle in such case - The OS is RHEL4.8(9) and some patches are provided by Oracle?
My understanding is that there is no supprot. Please help to confirm.

Please note that this is a user forum. You may find responses from Oracle here, but not necessarily.
To assume that Oracle would provide support for RHEL, just because you install a OL package, is a pretty wild assumption. I'm not aware that any vendor would provide support for another vendor. Nevertheless, OL and RHEL are 100 % user space and binary compatible, and so are the packages, unless you install anything that requires the Oracle UEK kernel or any other vendor specific product that is not GPL.
If you want to stay with Red Hat you will have to pay for support to Red Hat, or convert your system to Oracle Linux and you can install and download patches and errata for free. See Switching from Red Hat Network to Unbreakable Linux Network (ULN) . OL provides patches and errata for free through Oracle Public YUM. If you need support for Oracle Linux from Oracle technical support, you will also need to buy a subscription to ULN.

How to set JMS Header Property without using DynamicConfiguration.

My Scenario is: PDF File -->XI -->JMS
I need to send the PDF file as it is to JMS receiver, which shouldn't be a problem. The problem is I need to set the same file name in the Receiver JMS header property.
So to do this I am using DynamicConfiguration in message mapping but when File Adapter picks the PDF file (as it is) I get the run time mapping error which is quite obvious since message mapping expects the data in xml format.
Do you have any idea if I can avoid the message mapping and set the Dynamic Configuration somewhere else (not sure if java mapping can help here) or if there is some Module available to set file name in JMS header.
Note: PDF File name is dynamic.

I have done some changes to my code and now it is working for me. Since I don't have much knowledge in Java (except writing UDFs )so don't know how good this coding is but defiantly this is my first step to learn Java APIs. Thanks to everyone for their comments & suggestions!!

Using ORACLE JMS

I am trying to send a message that includes XML in the TextMessage body using JMS class.
My question is how do I trasform XMLDocument into the String so I can use it in the TextMessage body. Later I would like to retrieve that string as XMLDocument.
If somebody has a sample or suggestion how to do that I would really appreciate it.

It has a createDepartments.jspx page that allows users to move the input text fields around. You can use code similar to the one used here to move panelBoxes

Any alternative to run Oracle Report without using Oracle Rpt Server?

Is there other alternative to run Oracle Reports if I don't have oracle report server?
Reason being I'm thinking of using Oracle10g iAS Standard Edition but this edition does not come with Oracle Report Server.
Is there anyway to run it? I need the report to be run through web browser and display as PDF.

Oracle Queue Error creating JMS-120: Dequeue failed

We are facing serious problems with Oracle queue when dequeuing messages from the queue.
Our configuration is the following:
- SOA Suit 10.g (10.1.3.5.0)
- Dehydration storage - Oracle Database 11gR2 in Exadata Cloud
We use standard JMS Adabpter from AS10g to dequeue messages from the Oracle queue.
Suddenly dequeue stop working pooling the flowing errors into the log.xml log file in $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/oc4j_soa/log/oc4j_soa_SOA_GROUP_1/oc4j directory.

Does anyone have an example of code in JAVA using Oracle JMS
enqueues a CLOB object into AQ ?

i am not sure how this is done for javascript, but for PHP, the code looks like this:
