JMS Resource Adapter and JDeveloper 10g

Hello,
I an trying to use the OC4J JMS Resource Adapter for WebSphere MQ with Jdeveloper 10g (OC4J 9.0.4). The program is just a servlet that sends a message to a JMS Queue. My orion-web.xml looks like:
<?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'windows-1252'?>
<!DOCTYPE orion-web-app PUBLIC "-//Evermind//DTD Orion Web Application 2.3//EN" "http://xmlns.oracle.com/ias/dtds/orion-web.dtd">
<orion-web-app servlet-webdir="/servlet/">
<resource-ref-mapping name="jms/QCF" location="mqjms/MyQCF" />
<resource-env-ref-mapping name="jms/QUEUE1" location="mqjms/MyQ" />
</orion-web-app>
The problem is that when I try to start the server I get the following Jdeveloper error:
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Unrecognized parent-elem combination: interface oracle.jdeveloper.xml.oc4j.war.OrionWebApp - resource-env-ref-mapping
     at oracle.javatools.xml.bind.XMLBinding.throwUnrecognizedElem(XMLBinding.java:127)
     at oracle.jdeveloper.xml.j2ee.war.WebAppBinding.elem2intImpl(WebAppBinding.java:637)
     at oracle.javatools.xml.bind.XMLBinding.elem2int(XMLBinding.java:104)….
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Did you find a fix for this? I'm experiencing the same problem.

  • Issue with JMS inbound Adapter  and Asynchronous BPEL

    Hi Gurus,
    I am facing the below issue with JMS inbound Adapter and Asynchronous BPEL .
    I have 2 JMS Queues one inbound and one outbound . The Composite has multiple BPEL Components around 4 on an average and i have 4 composites similar to that .
    Totally 4 Composites * 4 BPEL Components = 16 Services
    Propoesd Solution :
    I have used MessageSelector in the JMS Adapter for selecting the incoming message. The BPEL gets invoked if the message selector is true and proceses the Message and writes the response to the other Queue.
    Initially i had no problems but intermittantly the BPEL processes are getting invoked but they are not processing the data ( Bpel process is supposed to invoke an external service and get the response in a sync call) and each BPEL processe instance is in running state for ever . This remains even if i restart the servers .
    The message gets read by the JMS Adapter , BPEL instace gets created but it wont proceed futher and remains in the runnign state for ever.
    If i redeploy the Composite then messages get processed but the issue creeps up again ( i tried to checl the logs but ino cluea about the issue .
    Getting frustrated day by day tried the bpel.config.transaction, increased the JMS Adapter threads , inreased the worker threads but all in vein..
    please let me know if any one has faced similar issue .
    Anticipating a quick response from the gurus.
    Lakshmi.

    We are also facing this issue in 11.1.1.5.
    Breifly the issue is : The BPEL process which polls an inbound JMSAdater ( consume_message) either stays in running state forever ( whatever we do) or go to the recovery queue. It doesnt recover even if i try to recover it. This happens intermittently. Redeploying the application / restarting servers sometime solve the issue but as know we cant do that on prod systems .
    Can some one look into this on priority and help us giving a solution/workaround.

  • WebSphere MQ resource adapter  and Weblogic - how?

    Hi,
    has anybody managed to get the WebSphere MQ resource adapter to run with Weblogic 10.3 ?
    (http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wmqv6/v6r0/topic/com.ibm.mq.csqzaw.doc/uj40010_.htm)
    I got it deployed, but it never triggers. I only made changes to the ra.xml, do I also need a weblogic-ra.xml?
    Has anybody a sample for the WebSphere MQ resource adapter?
    Thanks very much,
    Juergen

    Here's an example resource adapter configuration you can use
    * weblogic-ra.xml - http://pastie.org/294590
    * note: you have to edit ra.xml manually to change transaction type from Local to XA, etc.
    This configures:
    * the resource adapter (needed for MDBs) to the jndi name wmq/Connector
    * a queue for outbound messages to the jndi name wmq/Queue1
    a connection factory for outbound messages to the jndi name wmq/ConnectionFactory
    Here's an example MDB that uses the above adapter
    * ejb-jar.xml - http://pastie.org/294594
    * weblogic-ejb-jar.xml - http://pastie.org/294597
    * note: useJNDI doesn't seem to work on WLS. Otherwise, you could setup the queue in your weblogic-ra.xml and then reference the jndi name in the ejb-jar.xml. This limitation clutters the ejb-jar.xml with implementation details of websphere, which are tricky to inject (deployment plan, xslt, etc.). That said, this does work.
    * note: If you want consistent control of the amount of consumers you have on a queue, set the ejb-jar.xml activation-config maxPoolDepth == weblogic-ejb-jar.xml max-beans-in-free-pool
    This configures:
    * an mdb instance listening on a specific WMQ destination
    I hope this helps. It is the result of may months of effort between Bea and IBM, and with me in the middle! ;)
    Cheers,

  • Classloader issue with resource adapter and webservice

    The following applications are planned to be deployed on the server.
    1.My-shared-lib.ear (J2EE shared library).
    2.My-Service-ear.ear (Service)
    3.My-Resource-Adapter.rar
    The My-shared-lib.ear contains a war which has 3rd Party jars.
    The My-Service-ear.ear contains the service classes and refers to the My-shared-lib.ear using a library relationship. In our case, it refers to spring, Hibernate and related jars.
    The My-Resource-Adapter.rar contains the Resources Adapters. In this case it contains the Spring jars.
    Points on Setup
    1.The configuration does not specify any jars in the classpath.
    2.There are no 3rd party jars in the ext folder.
    *2.Issue Description*
    Issue while starting the Service EAR.*
    The development setup has an application server that has My-shared-lib.ear and My-Service-ear.ear deployed. This works fine.
    The proposed deployment architecture mandates that these applications be deployed on a server where the My-Resource-Adapter.rar is already running. We can deploy & start My-shared-lib.ear . However, when we try to deploy and start My-Service-ear.ear, it fails to start with the error. The detailed exception is found in Appendix A.
    Error Message:
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/hibernate/ejb/HibernatePersistence
    *3.Options tried*
    1.Place all the required jars in the .rar.
    We placed all the 3rd party jars required for the My-Service-ear.ear in the My-Resource-Adapter.rar file. When we deployed all the 3 applications, all applications including the My-Service-ear.ear were deployed and started as well.
    2.Place all the required jars in the Service ear.
    We placed all the 3rd party jars required for the My-Service-ear.ear in the My-Service-ear.ear file with the <prefer-web-inf-classes>true</prefer-web-inf-classes>. When we deployed all the 3 applications, all applications including the My-Service-ear.ear were deployed and started as well.
    3.Altering deployment order.
    The deployment order was altered with a higher preference being given to the My-Service-ear.ear. When we deployed all the 3 applications, the application My-Service-ear.ear was deployed but failed to start giving the same exception.
    *4.Analysis*
    1.The spring jar though available in the library ear is being loaded from the .rar application by the classloader.
    2.The above point means that the library reference being provided in the My-Service-ear.ear does not seem to have any impact.
    3.In the 3rd scenario we observed that when the spring is removed from the .rar, it gets loaded from the My-shared-lib.ear. However when it tries to load Hibernate related classes, it fails.
    *5.Summary*
    Our understanding is that all the applications run within their own Classloaders. If classes are not found within the applications, then they should be looking at the Application Server. But here we see that they are referring to the classes in ‘.rar’ file. Hence we are unable to understand this issue. The above problem has workarounds. However, these options are not allowed as per the requirement. The requirement is that the application should run independent of the’ .rar’. Is there a better approach? Are we missing any configuration?

    This thread caught my attention - because since switching last week from a late '06 Macbook to the Macbook Pro 13", my Wifi performance at home has gotten slow and unreliable.
    I'm using the Apple MiniDP-DVI adapter, connected to a 24" Dell monitor, which has worked great for a few years on my white Macbook. My base station is a Linksys WRTSL54GS, located about 20 feet away from my desk.
    So, I tried some speed tests with and without the DVI. Performance with the adapter connected is terrible, disconnected it's perfect. Further testing shows that positioning matters.
    When the adapter is turned back 90 degrees, leading the monitor cable towards the back of my desk, Wifi performance is bad. When I turn the adapter so it sticks straight out the left side of the Macbook Pro, performance is normal.
    This is a little weird, but an acceptable workaround for me.

  • JMS Queue Works in JDeveloper 10g, but not in Oracle 10g AS

    Hello --
    I have set up a JMS Queue on my local OC4J included with JDeveloper. I added my ConnectionQueueFactory and ConnectionQueue to the JMS.XML file in my environment. Everything works the way it should using JDeveloper with the embedded OC4J.
    As soon as I deploy the application to Oracle Application Server, for some reason my MailSender Message Driven Bean cannot take delivery of the message. I don't know what I could be doing wrong but my JMS.XML file on the Application Server has been updated with the same ConnectionQueue information that is on my local JMS.XML file. In my log file I can see that the message is being posted to the queue, just no delivery.
    If anyone out there has a suggestion I would appreciate it. This is my first attempt at ever using JMS.
    Thanks,
    Frank

  • Error on sample code Oracle's JMS Resource Adapter for WebSphere MQ Series

    Hi,
    I've succesfully assembled and deployed demo application located at the following url
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/java/oc4j/1013/how_to/how-to-mq-jms/doc/how-to-mq-jms.html
    However, during testing of the app, i've discovered strange error: It seems that
    instead of 6 messages returned only 3 messages (those replies generated by MDB), while 3 messages expected to be rolled back to the queue are disappeared.
    After turning trace on MQ i've discovered that for some reason MDB commits after every transaction, even if setRollbackOnly() method id called.
    I.e. log contains 12 XACOMMIT() calls ( 9 call for 9 messages being consumed by the MDB and 3 for 3 messages being submited as replies), while it's supposed to contain only 9 commits.
    Could you explain why this happens ?
    I've trace files and OC4J output at hand if you're might interested.

    Shouldn't I be getting a com.evermind.sql.OrclCMTConnection created instead of a com.evermind.sql.OrionCMTConnection (per the stack trace)? OJMS is complaining that it doesn't have an OracleCOnnection but how do I tell it to use the "OrclCMTConnection" class instead?

    We are developing using PersonalJava and JDeveloper 10g (for a PDA). To get going, we installed JDK 1.1.8 and set that to be the J2SE for the project. Here is the problem: Everything compiles OK (using ojvc) and runs OK, but I can't debug because JDev tries to use the JPDA API, which of course did not exist in JDK 1.1. Any way around this?

  • Send message to WebSphere MQ resource adapter - how?

    Hi,
    has anybody a working sample how an Weblogic EJB can write to an MQ queue via the WebSphere MQ resource adapter?
    http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wmqv6/v6r0/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.mq.csqzaw.doc/uj40010_.htm
    I took Adrian Cole's sample from
    WebSphere MQ resource adapter  and Weblogic - how?
    the message driven bean works, but for outbound I couldn't get it to work.
    I used
         @Resource(name = "wmq/ConnectionFactory")
         private javax.jms.ConnectionFactory queueConnectionFactory;
         Connection connection = null;
         connection = queueConnectionFactory.createConnection();
         Session sess = connection.createSession(false, Session.AUTO_ACKNOWLEDGE);
         MessageProducer messageProducer = sess.createProducer(queue);
         messageProducer.send(msg);
         connection.close();
    But then I get
    javax.jms.JMSException: [JMSPool:169819]There was an error with a resource pool used to pool JMS sessions: weblogic.common.ResourceException: 0:javax.jms.JMSException: MQJCA1018:Only one session per connection allowed.
    Can't I use the Resource Adapter to trigger an MDB and write in the same application to the same Resource Adapter?
    Thanks,
    Juergen

    By using @Resource you activate Session pooling [http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12840_01/wls/docs103/jms/j2ee.htm]. Although you constantly create and close the connection, you end up with one connection and multiple Sessions created out of it when there is sufficient concurrency. In JCA, ManagedConnection represents a single Resource (because it also deals with JDBC). In JMS, a Session is a resource. Session pooling violates the requirement "one resource per managed connection" which is what MQ Resource Adapter is telling [http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wmqv6/v6r0/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.mq.csqzaw.doc/uj40030_.htm].
    Some possible solutions:
    * Set max-beans-in-free-pool 1 in weblogic-ejb-jar.xml
    * disable wls Session pooling by simply looking up using InitialContext.lookup. WLS session pool is redundant because resource adapters usually pool connections [http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12840_01/wls/docs103/resadapter/connect.html]. Define outbound resource adapter use its connection factory.

  • OEMS/10.1.3.2 MDB/AQ via Resource Adapter - message gone but no "onMessage"

    Hi I have a very simple ear file containing an EJB/MDB and a JMS Resource Adapter configured to listen to an AQ, JMS Provider. What I see happening is that messages are gone from the AQ (after some time), I also see some ejb activitiy - enabled via logging - but my onMessage is never called. Was could be causing this?

    Things are getting stranger by the minute (for me)
    I've just changed my PL/SQL procedure to include at least one of the JMS properties which seem necessary for MDB's to pick things up: JMS_OracleDeliveryMode. With that change, and making sure the rest of the header properties (like username) were in order, I saw my MDB picking up messages that were enqueue via PL/SQL... but.... only if a MDB instance was readily available.
    Whenever ejbRemove() was called by the container, entering another JMS message in the queue using PL/SQL didn't result in the onMessage() being called. Message where still available in 'READY' state. Now what is really disturbing is that whenever I called my standalone Java client to enter a new JMS message, obviously this was picked up - but as a side effect every subsequent enqueue using PL/SQL also resulted in onMessage() being called.

  • Resource Adapter for Xellerate

    Hi,
    I want to connect two Linux target system using ssh.
    I have import the connector for ssh.
    How could I do to implement two different roles with the privileges?
    The first role is able to provision a user on the first linux and the second role on the second linux.
    In fact when I go to define a new role I am not able to select only one system (but a kind of group).
    thanks in advance

    Hi Tom,
    Being newbie to JCA and JMS, it took some time for me to understand the technical details of the application I'm working on and some more time to comprehend your previous reply in the context. Hence the delay in my reply :)
    As I have indicated in my original post, we are currently using jenks JCA container as a message listener container + generic JMS resource adapter (com.sun.genericra.GenericJMSRA), which works perfectly with Tibco JMS.
    But, as you have indicated in your last reply that the same will not work with weblogic as the application is deployed outside weblogic server (Tomcat server in this context) and tries to use non-supported "connectionConsumer on remote JVM".
    Now, spring supports JCA based messaging endpoint abstraction which can be used to connect to any JEE server using appropriate (mostly provider specific) resource adapter.
    The messages then get processed by the message listeners in the JEE server hosted listener container. So as per my understanding, the concept is very similar to how MDBs act as messaging endpoint. So, I believe, weblogic also provides such JCA resource adapter.
    The resource adapter section of weblogic documentation explains (link below) how to develop one. But, I believe, there must be ready made ones as the requirement is quite generic.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/web.1111/e13732/toc.htm
    So, here are my questions -
    1> How can I get a JCA resource adapter compatible with weblogic?
    2> If we have an answer to Q1, do you think that it can work with the current deployment scenario mentioned below? -
    a. Resource Adapter deployed on weblogic
    b. The application (WAR) deployed on Tomcat on a remote machine
    c. The application looks up the resource adapter over JNDI from weblogic server
    Moreover, I appreciate your suggestion of using MDBs. But, that's quite significant change for the entire platform and is not feasible option given our business scenario.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Messaging Bridge/Resource adapter problem on Solaris?

              Has anyone successfully used the supplied resource adapter and messaging bridge
              on Solaris? We seem to have problems getting the resource adapter to be bound
              properly. After creating a connector through the admin console (using any of the
              weblogic supplied jms-*-adp.rar files) the element shows up in the JNDI tree but
              has no object information associated with it - which I assume means it is not
              bound. The following error shows up in the weblogic log file:
              ####<Jan 24, 2003 6:28:03 PM CST> <Error> <Connector> <fssun02> <AdminServer>

              We are using WL 7.0.1.0 and Solaris 2.8 (8). With the same configuration on Win
              2K everything works properly. Classpath's etc all seem to be correct. Any ideas?
              thanks,

    I finally got my Messaging Bridge (Tibco to a WLS Cluster) to work. See my post 3 messages before yours - to which no-one responded... :-(
              So here goes with my suggestion based on what I have done.
              1. Create a Distributed Destination for the WLS queue and "auto deploy" it your cluster. (Read the manual on how to do that, it is quite straightforward).
              2. In the Local Bridge Destination, put :
              Connection URL - nothing
              Initial Context Factory - weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory
              Connection Factory JNDI Name - <your JMS conection factory name>
              Destination JNDI Name - <the JNDI name given to the Distributed Destination>.
              I hope that works.

    Kindly provide info on this or direct me to the correct guide.
    Thanks,
    Amith

    Hi Melvin,
    I have successfully created the resource adapter and deployed the same on weblogic managed server. The problem i am having is to invoke this resource adapter from BPEL process. In Fusion 10g release i followed the cook book (link given in the previous message) to create the wsdl which also had the jca bindings for outbound and inbound transaction. In 11g i find that the jca bindings has to be put in a separate .jca file and there is no documentation given on how to create the .jca file for resource adapters.
    Any information on this will be really helpfull.
    Thanks,
    Amith

  • JMS Sender Adapter EOIO with different messages in Queue to RFC

    Dear Colleague,
    In one of my scenarios i am using JMS Sender Adapter and Websphere MQ series.
    In my MQ Series Queue i get different Messages with Different Structures.
    for e.g in my MQ Series Queue Q1 i have M1, M2, M3 coming in Order.
    Now i need to doa  Mapping of M1 to a Standard BAPI  B1 call through RFC at the reciever side.
    Now i need to doa  Mapping of M2 to a Standard BAPI B2 call through RFC at the reciever side.
    Now i need to doa  Mapping of M3 to a Standard BAPI B3 call through RFC at the reciever side.
    We are aware that on Receiver side we can have multiple Recievr Determinations.so i can send it to 3 different BAPIs.
    Question:
    But how do i split the Messges which are coming out of MQ series Q from JMS to 3 different Mapping Structures as we knwo that we do not 'Multiple Sender Interface Determinations' from Determined based on the Message which is coming in.
    Hope i have been clear in making myself understand about the problem given above.
    I have alos given below the same in a bit Graphical Form.
    MQ Series --> M3, M2, M1(Messages) --> JMS Adapte(EOIO) --> M1(Message) -> RFC -> B1(Bapi)
                                                             --> JMS Adapte(EOIO) --> M2(Message) -> RFC -> B2(Bapi)
                                                             --> JMS Adapte(EOIO) --> M3(Message) -> RFC -> B3(Bapi)
    Is it possible to achieve the above result. Answers fo the solution are most welcome. These can be also from the new Netweaver Release Versions. If we have the solution to these in New version we will implment the New Netweaver Releases.
    Thanks & Warm Regards

    Dear Kai,
    if i have 3 MQ series Queues then how are we going to maintain the flow of the Messages in the same order in which has come into MQ series queues.
    this mesans to say that all the Message come in Parallel out from JMS or MQ side and will be mapped onto Reciever side.
    But in my case i wil need to have M1 first M2 second and M3 third.
    This means to say that M1 recived and acknowledged then M2 should come and acknowledged and then M3 should be acknowledged.
    How this will be possible with your solution of making 3 MQ series Queues.
    Please do let me know.
    Thanks
    Venugopal
