JMS under WS 8.1 sp1

          I am moving an WL 6.1 sp4 application to WLS 8.1 sp1, under Windows 2K. JMS & the
          MDB has always worked fine with no problems. However now;
          When (re)start the WLS I get the following error message;
          "Failed to create Web Service reliable Agents" "instance already exists"
          It appears to be the internally created Server, not one I have configured manually;
          WSStoreForwardInternalJMSServer<MyServerName>Server
          and it has created two JMS destinations;
          WSInternaljms.Internal.queue.WSDupsEliminationHistoryQueue<MyServerName>Server
          WSInternaljms.Internal.queue.WSStoreForwardQueue<MyServerName>Server
          Any pointers.

I think what you've got is a workshop enabled domai and it's upset for some
          reason.I'm not sure what the web service reliable agents are. I've also used
          workshop but had no problems.
          Try creating a basic weblogic domain with no workshop services using the
          domain config wizard.
          I'm also running 8.1 on win2k and have jms configured with distributed
          destinations and multiple jms servers , bridges etc and it all works fine.

              I thought this could have been a problem solved long time ago but after searched
              through this list I could not find any solutin.
              Basically any change to the JSP is not refreshed on my wl server. Even after I
              set my browser to have 0 siye disk cache, 0 siye memory cache, and set the cache
              file name to something non-exists, the cached page kept coming back! It must have
              been cached by the web server. Deleting all the tmp files under WEB-INF did not

  • Solaris Server VM under Weblogic 7.0 sp1

    I have noticed that bea has dropped platform support
    for the Sun SPARC Solaris Server VM (java 1.3 -server option)
    and only allows the use of the client VM (-hotspot)
    I was under the impression that -server mode was much more scalable than -hotspot

    on solaris.
    Has anyone tried using -server mode under with weblogic 7

    I heard for corporate customers there is a patch for weblogic 7 with that you can
    use jdk141.
    Am i right?

  • Does LiveCycle ES2 still use JMS  under WAS 6.1

    Hi,  we are currently running LC ES 8.2.1 atop WAS 6.1.19.  The JMS messaging engine stops frequently enough to cause us alot of operational grief. I see from these forums that others are having a similar issue.

    Does LC ES2 have a different messaging engine implementation ? I recall reading somewhere (can't find it now) that it no longer uses JMS. Can someone confirm please ?
    Thanks in advance.
    Dan

    Confirmed.  Starting with the ES2 release (we're currently in ES2.5) , LiveCycle has stopped depending on JMS for intra-process communication.  Now it uses JEE WorkManager.

  • Groupwise 8 on Server 2008R2 SP1 Performance and Defrag Questions

    I am running GroupWise 8.0.2 on an HP DL360G G7 with 24 GB of RAM and Dual Xeon X5650 processors under Server 2008 R2 Sp1. Post Office is using roughly 562 GB of an 819 GB Disk located on an HP p2000 g3 SAS connected enclosure comprised of 12 x 146 GB (15k rpm) SAS disks in a RAID 10 configuration. Typically never more than 700 users connected to the Post Office at any time. I am experiencing client slowness at regular intervals. Roughly every three weeks. The solution tends to be to restart the server and give it a fresh start, which holds for a while.
    Concerns.
    1. When the server restarts I see minimal memory utilization maybe 1.5 GB within half an hour the Used memory climbs a bit to about 2GB but free memory is quickly pre-allocated to standby memory. Within about 2 hours the Free memory is all consumed and I have about 20+ GB of Standby Memory. Running RAMMap indicates that the memory is being used by Metafile and Mapped File, Which tells me that the Post Offices files are being indexed and cached into RAM. Then after a couple weeks go by the amount of active RAM exceeds 8GB (still mostly Metafile, not so much Mapped File). And standby RAM still consumes the remaining RAM between Metafile and Mapped file, leaving no free memory. Typically once I reach about 8GB of memory actively used by the system (mostly Metafile), it's time for performance to drop for the clients.
    Also, I'm seeing increases in Disk Queue Length for the Post Office Volume. Typically below 2 rarely as high as 5,
    I suspect my best solution is to start a regular defrag process as my volume is now 29% defragmented [yeah NTFS :( ]
    Question:
    I am concerned a defrag could take as much if not longer than 10 hours. Which is too long for the agents to be down. So I was wondering if anyone had used DiskKeeper or alternative 3rd party Defrag utilities that might be able to defrag open files in the background, or if anyone had run defrag with the agents running to get the defragable files, then shut down the agents for a second pass which should be considerably shorter. Any advice that can be offered, or other suggestions for my described issue, would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank You!

    A) Updating to latest code may assist as this could also be a memory fragmentation type
    issue or such that has been fixed
    B) Perhaps even more RAM might help. How much space do the ofuser/*.db and ofmsg/*.db files
    take up? The more mail flows, the more of those DB file content are held in memory. A few
    versions ago, you tended to need as much RAM as the total of the DB files, and while those
    days are gladly past, it is still a good number to watch out for.
    C) Explore Caching mode for at least some of the users as that significantly reduces the
    load on a server.
    > I suspect my best solution is to start a regular defrag process as my volume is now
    > 29% defragmented [yeah NTFS :( ]
    Still way better than old FAT ;)
    This is one of the reasons why GroupWise runs better on Linux with either EXT3 or NSS
    volume types, and is why SLES is provided along with your GroupWise license.
    As for running Defragments, even running it for just a few hours a week will gradually
    help, especially if you can fit in one big burst near the beginning. So if you can automate
    the process of shut down agents, run defrag for X hours and then shut it down, then restart
    the agents, you may clear this all up. Just having the agents down an hour a week might
    clear the memory usage issue for you.
    I would be very hesitant to run any defrag on open database files of any email system
    unless the defrag tool knew explicitly about that email system. But a smart defragger that
    can keep the *.db files in their own (fastest) section of the drive and the rest off to the
    side would go a long way to making the defragmentation process much more efficient.
    I haven't directly run a GroupWise system on any flavor of Windows, since OS/2, so this is
    more a combination of all my platform knowledge, but I hope it gets you closer to a smooth
    running system. And if the other GW on Windows admins can pipe in, all the better.

  • JMS Messaging Bridge WLS8.1

              Hello All,
              I am trying to hook up 2 Queues as source and target destinations for the WLS8.1
              Messaging Bridge[MB] functionality.
              So when I send a message to Q1[source destination], the MB forwards the message
              to Q2[target destination].
              I have 1 MDB deployed and listening on Q2.
              I verify the messages received via the admin console in wls8.1 as well as the
              MDB I have deployed.
              Thus, the MB works.
              However, when I deploy a MDB on Q1 as well, the message is lost(not forwaded to
              Q1 by the MB).
              Assuming that the source destination is of type Queue, and this behaviour is expected,
              I went to test with a Topic as source destination for the MB and a Queue as the
              target destination for the MB.
              However, I failed to receive any messages in the dest[Q2] via the MB.
              This is with / without a MDB listening on the Topic[source destination].
              One MDB is always listening on the Queue[target destination].
              MB does not work.............
              Can anyone help ?
              TIA.

    There is no native code specific to this use case, except
              perhaps for IBM code, and I know of no issues.

  • JMS -- PI -- IDOC Party Communication

    Hi,
    I have a scenario JMS --> PI --> IDOC and vice-versa. JMS is an external system, so using PARTY communication. SAP System is within customer landspace.
    My doubt is - I have to import a Business System in ID for the IDOC (SAP system). Now where should I import this Business System? Should I import the SAP Business System under Party or under Without Party?
    If I am not wrong Business Component for JMS will come under the Party; have a doubt about the Business System.
    Thank you,

    If this is in another landscape then use Party..
    Ok. So nowI have imported the Business System (SAP ECC) under Without Party and will create the Business Component for JMS under Party.

  • JMS In Weblogic 6.0 Ignoring Time To Live?

    Hi all,
    I am having an odd problem using JMS under WL6.0. I have two servers, each running an indentically configured instance of Weblogic (at least w.r.t JMS). Each WL instance is configured to run one JMS server, and each JMS server and all topics that exist within the server are configured to use a persistent file store to support durable topic subscriptions.
    I have identical code deployed on both servers that publishes durable messages to a topic. I publish messages to a topic with code like
    publisher.publish(message, DeliveryMode.PERSISTENT, 5, timeToLive);
    Can anyone tell me a reason why one WL instance would appear to ignore the timeToLive parameter while the other would not? Specifically, I notice that the "defective" instance retains messages indefinitely, irrespective of any value I supply for the time to live parameter. The other WL instance works exactly as it should.
    If anyone has had a similar experience or could suggest what might be causing the problem, I'd really appreciate their help.
    Thanks in advance for your help,
    Mike

    Check the configurations of the JMS Destinations in
    both of the cases.
    Your JMS destination "Time to Live" value may be
    overriding the value passed as a parameter.
    So check and confirm that values on both of the
    servers are same.I should've mentioned that I checked that the "time to live" override values are set to the default (-1) value. A value of -1 should mean that the destination is not overriding any programmatically specified value, right? Thanks for the help, though.

  • Bug in Formula node under LabVIEW 2010

    appendix is my test project.
    there is a test.vi in the project.  The test.vi contains only a case structure with 5 SAME subdiagrams. Each subdiagram contains a formula mode. The formula code does some calculation with an 2d array of double.
    If i run the test.vi under LabVIEW 2010(or SP1), it may cause  LabVIEW 2010 corrupt occasionally. If I build application form the test.vi, and run the application ,the application will definitely corrupt.
    if I delete one subdiagram of the case structure , the test.vi and the application both run well.
    however, the same project works well under LabVIEW 2009.
    so is it a bug with LabVIEW 2010?
    Attachments:
    Test.zip ‏7 KB

    'corrupt' means the program exit unexpectedly without any warning or error message. it just disappeared and you can't find it in the 'process' tab of windows task manager after that.
    If LabVIEW corrupted, once i reopened it, there may be a error message dialog pop-uped before the LabVIEW interface appeared. The dialog said something wrong with 'undo.cpp'. I zipped the failure long to the appendix. I can't find any other error or warning message from LabVIEW or Windows ( I checked the Windows Event Viewer).
    If the built exe corrupted, There isn't any message for  LabVIEW or Windows neither.
    I tested the project on my own laptop with Windows XP(SP3) Chinese Version and NI PXI-8810 with Windows XP(SP3) English Version which is my target machine.
    Appendix also contain a exe build in my laptop. If I run the exe file, once I click the run button , it will corrupt. I wonder if it works the same on your computer.
    Thanks for your concern.

  • JMS Queue listener vs. manual/scheduled executions

    Hello,
    We have configured interfaces, packages, scenarios, etc. that start with pulling an XML message from a JMS queue (well, JMS Queue XML data store) and can successfully process our messages in batch mode when we run our executions manually or via a scheduler. However, we'd like our agent to simply listen on the queue for new messages and kick off an execution when a new message comes in...one-by-one (rather than in a batch manual/scheduled mode).
    Can someone please help us with the proper configuration steps for this?
    Thanks!

    I am investigating this issue myself.   I have come up with two possible scenarios.
    1.  Do it in Java -- Of course this defeats the purpose of using SOA Suite.  In the book SOA Suite 11g handbook, chapter twelve he has a jms adapter publishing to a queue and a java program listening to that queue.    http://technology.amis.nl/2010/09/21/soa-suite-11g-handbook-chapter-complements/
    you can refer to the TheFinancialApplication.
    2.  If you have access to the Jms programs that publish the messages to the queue (that your programs want to listen to) and they are done in SOA Suite 11g, you could use Event Delivery Network (EDN) to create a event on the publishing side-- and then set up your listening processes to listen for that Event (which is jms under the hood).
    You could then have those processes kick off from that event.
    Anyone with a better idea?
    -- Update 8 hours later  -- I have a better idea:
    I created a composite that publishes a JMS message to a queue on weblogic using the jms adapter.  I created a second composite with a jms adapter (on the Exposed services side of the composite)  that Consumes a message, hooked it up to a mediator and then wrote the contents of the message to a file.  Uploaded both.
    Moments after the JMS publisher Composite ran, a file was created.  From this I would surmise that you could run other processes as well.
    -- Update two days later.   So much for the better idea.
    Given that the Flow Trace of the last test looked suspiciously like this one one application and not two separate applications, I decided to test it further.  I have two PCs.  On each PC I have a soa domain, Uploaded the jms publisher to one domain, and the JMS Consumer to the other separate domain on the other PC.   Ran the publisher, and the other one just sat still -- didn't start at all.
    The first test was too good to be true!

  • OC4J/JMS Queue Listener

    Hello,
    Have a simple test JMS client that is listening for messages posted to a JMS queue setup in the OC4J/JMS. While the messages are ending up in the proper queues [this can be verified via a queue browser] the listener does not seem to be getting any notifications. The receiver code is essentially,
    queueConnection = queueConnectionFactory.createQueueConnection();
    QueueSession queueSession = queueConnection.createQueueSession(
                             false,
                             Session.AUTO_ACKNOWLEDGE);
    QueueReceiver queueReceiver = queueSession.createReceiver(queue);
    System.out.println("Set Listener");
    queueReceiver.setMessageListener(new OracleListener());
    queueConnection.start();
    This is from a remote client for both the sender and the reciever. Any help would be much appreciated.

  • Installation failure under WindowsXP

    Hi!
    When I try to install JRockit 8.1 (jrockit-jdk1.5.0-win-ia32.exe) under my Windows XP SP1 System the (GUI) installer exists directly after the licence confirmation. So I tried the console based installation (-mode=console) and got the following error message:
    Enter option number to select OR [Down][Exit][Previous]> 1
    RegUtils: Error loading RegUtils.dll using path InstUtil.dll
    Error initializing RegUtils.dll API
    ...Finish installation. Press any key to close this window...
    Has anyone an idea why this happens? I'd really like to try out our application on JRockit..
    Greetings

    Hi Mario,
    Thanks for the error report. I will forward it to whom it concerns.
    As a work around for now, to enable tryout of JRockit 5.0, please try
    a manual installation by doing
    unzip <jrockit-installer>.exe
    unzip <jrockit-payload>.zip
    to get the files and copy/move them wherever you want them installed.
