JNet onNodeDoubleClicked Event in WebDynpro

Hello,
I created a Network UI Element in Web Dynpro, which has a tree-layout with some nodes.
For the onNodeDoubleClicked Event I registered a method. If now a node is double clicked, I want to display the name or the id of the clicked node for example in a textview. How to get the Name or the Id of the clicked node??

I solved the Problem.
I had to map the event parameters like described in this wiki:

Portal Eventing in Webdynpro ABAP

Hello,
I am trying to implement Eventing in Webdynpro ABAP using 2 components ,Com1 serving as the source component and Com2 serving as Target. In Com1 I created a Inputfield and a button ,and then tied an action to the button and called the FIRE method of the IF_WD_PORTAL_INTEGRATION and sent the value in the Inputfield as the eventing parameter.
In Com2, i subscribed to the event in the wddoinit() method and then defined an action for the same and got the parameter value sent in the Com1 and set the value in the context attribute in the Com2 which is bound to the inputfield.
But still the value sent in Com1 is not displayed in the Com2 Inputfield.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

Hi I assume the following, please correct me if my understanding is not correct.
1.First of all you try this in Portal.
2.The moment you fire the event, the comp-2 view is active and subscribed to the portal event.
If the above are true then tell me if the portal eventing enter into the action ?Have you checked in bebug that your action is triggerred on portal_event ?
If portal event is action handler is called then if you have a importing parameter portal_event_parameter then your input value should be there.

Hi Mahesh,
you can create event handlers under the actions tab in you view. evry event handler has an importing parameter wdevent of type ref to cl_wd_custom_event.
you can also create events in your component controller and they can be handled within your views
check cl_wd_custom_event class for details about what all information you get when an event occurs.

Integrating custom java script is not supported. There are still a few benefits BSP has over WDA. Well, you could put the flash object inside of a BSP application and use portal eventing to communicate with WDA.

Can't pass event from WebDynPro to JspDynPage - why?

I Created JSP project and embedded in main page script (in its title),
which subscribes to event by EPCM API,
EPCM.subscribeEvent("urn:ru.intertech.common.wd.component", "save",   go);
and created WebDynPro page that fires event using, when pressing on some bution:
WDPortalEventing.fire("urn:ru.intertech.common.wd.component", "save", navUrl);
but first code newer receives that event...
why so ?
for test reason I tested firing EPCM event on same JSP page,
and it was received,
also
I tested receiving Portal event "urn:com.sapportals:navigation", "Navigate"
it was received on same JSP page.
both iViews is not URL isolated according their properties.
WebDynPro package is:

Also, standard SAP MDM controls which we are using not working under any other browser except IE,
I tested on FF and Google Chrome, they do not erform dynamic part of the controls.
Despite this, debugging of scripts is important thing, so every piece is worth.
One more detail:
Also, two such a controls do not receive events from each other,
but ony within self..
why so ?

Click event in Webdynpro abap for interactive form

Hi ,
I am using a ZCLI form to be developed using Webynpro abap . I am new to webynpro abap but I have worked in offlined upload of pdf forms . My problem is I created a wedynpro component and integrated the form .The form is only opening up if the layout choosen is standard layout . if it is a zcli form it is not opening up . I am also not able to capture the click event from the form .
some immediate help required.
My requiremnt is to save 2 fileds from a form in an interactive way to a SAP database using webynpro abap .

Hi Abhil,
If your layout type is 'ZCI Layout' then you have insert the webdynpro script in the layout. After selecting the ZCI Layout click on enter and then go to layout tab, in this go to Utilities menu->select Insert WebDynpro Script.
If you do this then in the Hierarchy tab of adobe form you can see the (Variable) ContainerFoundation_JS, it means that you have inserted WebDypro Script in the form.
Finally activate the form and run the application.

I have made a Webdynpro application as an iview in portal. Now i need to accomplish client eventing between this iview and any other portal iview. I learned from this link

Work Flow - Triggering Event through Webdynpro

Hi,
I am new to Workflow. I have generated the Workflow related to claim (Objects as ABAP Class). Now I have generated Webdynpro component and through this I need to execute the Workflow. I have used the FM SAP_WAPI_START_WORKFLOW & SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT. To raise the event 'cl_swf_evt_event=>raise'. I have used. But this is not triggering event. So, Any one can help me on this issue.
In workflow using ABAP CLASS is essential or Business object.
In my case I have used only ABAP CLASS. In workflow I have generated the Triggering event as SAVE. In webdynpro I have generated the code in 'ONACTIONSAVE'. When ever the user clicks SAVE' button. Workflow shouild trigger and approver should receive the mail as notification and he/she will approve/reject the claim.

After SAP_WAPI_START_WORKFLOW do you have COMMIT WORK?
Does the SAP_WAPI_START_WORKFLOW return some error message?
Are you sure that the event is not triggered? Check this with event monitor SWEL (turn monitor on in SWELS).
Also, ready Jocelyn Dart's blogs about ABAP OO. She have clear instructions about how to trigger ABAP OO events.

If it is simply a tooltip that you would like to be displayed then there is a tooltip attribute that can be set when using the HTMLb controls, or the method setTooltip("my tooltip"); when using the APIs. If you need more of a mouse over event, then I would personally use standard HTML instead. You can use the same css classes that are used when creating HTMLb components so that the button would look the same, but it would be more under your own control

Javascript server events in webdynpro ABAP

I am migrating an existing BSP application to webdynpro abap. Few of sections, in existing BSP application, uses java script coding to trigger few server events. For example it uses a flash charts on click of which some filtering logic is written on table. Similar logic needs to be placed for webdynpro. I used Iframe to display this charts. Charts are rendered properly but I am not able to raise the actions or trigger events on server as I dont have access to parent.document object of my parent view.
I get access denied/ permission denied error.
Cant we trigger server action or event using JavaScript from child IFrame.

Create Event in webdynpro

Hi Experts,
I'd like to create an event in java webdynpro here's the code:
(Of course I created the Model for the Sap_Wapi_Create_Event_Inputbut I didn't bind it anywhere is this a problem? )

You need to bind once you create the model node object for RFC.

   3. Events (for communication)
   4. Interface views (for embedding)
Events :By a dashed edge giving a direction; the edge is labeled with the event and, optionally,
with the method in which the event is triggered. The edge determines the trigger
direction.

but I am not able to understand the concept of event.
what is event?how does it work?how to handle it?

Hi,
the Events are neccessary for example calling a method of a View from the Component Controller.
You can do that by creating an Event on the Controller, and creating an Event Handler
int the Method Tab of the view. In the Eventhandler you can select the Event that should
be listened to.
Now if you fire th event on the controller like this: wdThis.wdFireEvent<eventname>;
The according eventhandler will be executed in the view.

Portal Eventing in WebDynpro Java Pros and Cons

Does anyone have a link to an article that discusses th epros and cons of using portal eventing between dynpro development components between iViews rather than using one larger web dynpro application. I am clear that reuse can be an issue if you don't make each view t's own development component but I also find portal eventing to be very lacking. What do others think about on this issue and is that an SAP recommendation?

I will make much more sense if we need a high degree of data interchange between WDP components, to use context mapping and thus internal WDP calls rather than portal eventing.

Eventing from a PDK appln to a Webdynpro appln ! :(

Hi,
I would like to trigger an event in webdynpro and catch subscribe for it from a PDK application..
(And passing data b/w WD appln and a PDK appln ...)
How can i acheive the same..
WDPortalEventing will work only across WD applns !
Is their any API that suits my requirement !
