Jobs are getting delayed.

Hi All,
We are monitoring many jobs daily. But now some of the jobs are getting delayed (2 to 3days). We have deleted that job and rescheduled to solve that issue. But we are unable to find the reason why it was happening suddenly.
Any suggestions will be awarded.
Thanks,
Praveen.

    Hi ,
    For log display reason, try the note suggested. Jobs cancel reason may be due to that the user who schedule that job are locked or not exist on that client. Or other reason will be clear only after log display.

  • Incorrect time of CCMS alerts, alerts getting delayed by more than a day

    Hi All,
    We have SOLMAN 4.0 and configured the autoreaction method for alert on e-mail centrally on SOLMAN for a client in DEV(100). The configuration is correct and we are able to receive the CCMS alerts, however, the alerts are getting delayed by more than a day. Alerts are getting generated every 3-5 minutes and in the central autoreaction method zCCMS_OnAlert_Email_Central i have added a parameter TIME_ZONE and gave the value as PST as our servers are all on PST.
    The following is an example of the alert that I received:
    ALERT for DEV \ Workload Collector \ Workload Collector Frame \ Collectorframe Messages at 20070910 215114 ( Time in UTC )
    System: DEV at 20070910 145114 ( Time in PST ) RED CCMS alert for monitored object Collectorframe Messages Alert Text:Determination of component from SCR failed System:DEV Segment:SAP_CCMS_e47dev_DEV_00 MTE:DEV\Workload Collector\Workload Collector Frame\Collectorframe Messages Client:000 User:DDIC
    Severity:        0
    I received the above alert at 15:45 after changing the "set wait time" to 15:30. However, in Tx. SOST, this alert was supposed to reach at 23:52 on 2007 09 10 which is like almost a day to receive the alert?
    Is this any configuration issue? The job which was scheduled to run every 3 minutes in SCOT to send e-mails is running fine without any delay.
    Please help me!!!

  • Hot backup getting delayed everyday

    Hi All,
    Everyday our hot backup job is getting delayed by a significant time. Before the tablespaces are placed into begin backup mode we spotted the alert log flooded with the below message ,

    Incremental checkpoint up to RBA [0x396b.6771.0], current log tail at RBA [0x396
    b.67b6.0]
    Also after the tablespaces are placed into begin backup mode before the end backup occurs the altert log is also flooded with the below messages,
    Incremental checkpoint up to RBA [0x396b.24107.0], current log tail at RBA [0x39
    6b.24afe.0]
    Mon May 21 05:58:39 2012

    Mon May 21 06:59:14 2012
    Incremental checkpoint up to .
    Then the tablespaces are placed into end backup mode resulting in significant delay.
    Please help how we can reduce the backup time and also please throw some light on these checkpoint related messages.

    Hi Jonathon ,
    Thanks for your valuable suggestion.
    Here in our environment all the tablespaces go into hot backup mode at a time instead of one by one through a script.
    Previously when the hot backup used to work fine the number of incremental checkpoints between begin backup and end backup were significantly less. It is also evident from the excerpt of the alert log file.

  • Oracle Jobs not getting executed

    Hi all,
    I am using oracle release 10.2.0.4.0. I have two similar databases and I am trying to run same jobs in two different databases. one is running successfully however when i m trying to submit the same jobs in another database the jobs are getting stuck in DBA_JOBS with below values:
    next_date next_sec total_time broken interval failures
    15-07-2009 00:00:00 0 N NULL NULL
    and jobs are not giving desired result. in fact they are not doing any thing which i am expecting.
    there is no change in program level. same program unit is able to submit the job in another database. I have checked the job_queue_processes and value is 10.
    I don't have any clue were to check at oracle level. i am pl/sql dev so i don't have much hand on oracle.
    here is the program block which is submitting jobs:
    Job := 'batch_run.Pr_Process_dup
                        (     ' || chr(39) || CurBranch || chr(39) || '
                             ,' || chr(39) || CurUser || chr(39) || '
    sys.dbms_job.submit(jno, job, StartTime, Interval);
    commit;
    This is the part of function were job is getting submitted.
    I don't think there is any issue at program level as it was working fine before and there is no change aswell. also same functions are being used in other database. in fact we are using these objects in front end which is working fine in rest of databases.
    We have two databases at same server.I compared all parameters in both instances.
    Please help me.

    hi
    here are the steps which I did.
    1. I submitted job using below code.
    declare
    job1 integer :=0;
    begin
    sys.dbms_job.submit(job1,'Begin null; end;',sysdate,'');
    commit;
    end;
    here are the values i was getting in DBA_jobs:
    next_date 16-07-2009 15:35:20
    next_sec 15:35:20
    total_time 0
    broken N
    interval null
    failures (no value)
    what Begin null; end;
    I don't think it was running.
    2. After running ur statement:
    set serveroutput on;
    exec dbms_job.run(9623);
    output: PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
    Job was not present in DBA_JOBS so i think Job got executed.
    I am clueless what is happening.What should be the cause?why is it not getting executingwhile running inside the pl/sql block?
    Thanks

  • Spawn jobs are not getting priority and target servergiven at selection scn

    Hi Abapers,
    I am scheduling main program as a job in backend through FMs JOB_OPEN, JOB_SUBMIT and JOB_CLOSE with priority and target server taken from user at selection screen through SE38,after executing the job,job will generate the spawn jobs (i.e child jobs). The spawn jobs  also be scheduled with same priority and target server from taken user. But after completion of main job execution, the spawn jobs are not generating with same priority and target server taken from selection screen. May be its getting refreshed.
    Please give me an idea how the spawn jobs also have to get the same priority and server of main job?
    Please reply as soon as possible. I need it urgently.

  • Job are not getting Triggered

    Hi All,
    I Have encountered an Issue with JOB not getting Triggered in BI system .
    For Datasource 2LIS_04_P_ARBPL , I have created Infopackage , when I am going to schedule tab and running an Infopackage. Job is not getting trigger  . And it is going on Hold for a longer period.
    Data is in the source system and  I am unable to fetch data from source system .
    One more thing there was some upgration activity happened in the source system one day before.
    Could u please let us know , Is the reason behind could be upgration in source system  ?
    Please let me know what needs to be crosschecked and what could be the solution for this Issue.
    Looking for response .....
    Regards,
    Mahesh

    Hi ,
    In the Source system Data is fetching I mean through RSA3.
    Even I able to replicate the Datasource as well.
    Also in T-code : SM59 , when I am checking Source system Connection check , it is not poping any error.
    But When I am Checking through RSA1 - > Source System
    Source system connection by clicking CHECK Option  then it is poping an error "Check Failed for RFC Connection ; Check Destination ".
    Also In Source system T-code :SM50 I can see three BGD WP which are in waiting status.
    In T-code : BD87 I have checked I didnt find any IDOC's in Yellow colour .
    How do we need to check whether ALEREMOTE is active or not?
    Actually my Issue is Jobs are not getting trigger in BI . So what all things needs to be taken care apart from this.
    So Is there any thing to be taken care from Basis team for Restarting of BI Jobs after any kind of Upgration activity in general?
    Regards,
    Mahesh

  • Pricing conditions for the articles are getting triggered one day before the actual activation date to 3rd party systems through job WPMU.

    Hi SAP Guru´s,
    Currently we are sending the pricing, promotions & article master data delta load to 3rd party system from SAP ECC via SAP XI through IDOCS using daily scheduled batch jobs WPMU. IDOC segment - WP_PLU.
    Here the issue is the promotion & pricing data are sent to 3rd party system one day before the actual start date.
    Eg: Promotion 123456 which has start date as 15/05/2014 & ending on 30/05/2014 & was created & activated on 13/05/2014.
    This promotion 123456 is getting triggered from SAP ECC through batch job on 14/05/2014 morning & 3rd party system receives the data on 14/05/2014 & the promotion are getting activated at 3rd party system end on 14/05/2014 itself which actually gets active from 15/05/2014.
    Same in the case for Standard Pricing data which needs to be active from 31/05/2014 once the promotion 123456 ends on 30/05/2014.
    The standard pricing data gets triggered from SAP ECC on 30/05/2014 through batch job & reaching 3rd party system on 30/05/2014 & getting activate on 30/05/2014 itself.
    This creates more issues at the store end as well as affecting business.
    We checked at 3rd party system end & they replied that their system considers the updated time stamp & date to activate the prices & it does not considers the actual active from & active to date. They need the data to be sent from SAP ECC on the effective date of the pricing & promotions.
    Can any one help me how to change the pricing conditions beign triggered through batch job in SAP ECC based on the actual promotion & pricing conditons start date or is there any other process to trigger the data through the batch job on the actual promotion & pricing data activation date.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Thanks & Regards,
    P.P.Shankar

    Hello Shankar,
    Change the lead time in the POS Outbound Profile. You can't put less than 2 days there so data for today and tomorrow will be transferred which also means you need to adjust your batch timing accordingly.
    Sales and Distribution -> POS Interface -> Outbound -> Maintain Profile for POS Outbound.
    See if it helps. The best option would still be that the 3rd part system considers the activtion date.
    Kind Regards
    Kaizad

  • Mails getting delayed in SAP

    Dear All,
    In our SAP environment I have configured SCOT.Now when I am sending the mail it is not going immediately.
    Instead of this it is getting delivered after 6-10 days.
    I have checked the SCOT configuration and it is fine.
    When I checked tcode SOST(overview of send orders).
    It is showing msg 672(status 'yellow")..wait for communication service.
    Is there something I am missing  at the SAP level or there is some problem from the network side..?And if it is a network issue how to prove it as our network team is saying mail is released from SAP side to SMTP server.
    Your suggestions will be greatly obliged.
    Regards,
    PG

    Theres several things that can cause delays...
    SAPConnect job is not running frequently enough... usually people set the job to run every 5-10 min
    Check that the timezone is correct in both SAP and SMTP Server
    Check with your SMTP Server admin that jobs are going through without issues, also that the relay agent is setup correctly on the SMTP Server.

  • Jobs not getting displayed in ECC

    Hi
    We implemented Redwood 8.0 and scheduled some jobs using that.
    The jobs ran successfully in  ECC server, but since then there is no jobs that we can view in SM37
    All jobs are executing successfully, but there is no log in sm37.
    Alos the JOBLOG files are there at OS
    Can someone tell what happenned
    Thanks and Regards
    Tushar

    Hi Tushar,
    Usually most of the third party Background job scheduler just keeps "header" type information. The job logs history is not retained for x number of days. Please check with your backup team they might provide you a ztable name in which you can look at the history of the background jobs.
    SAP_REORG_JOBS and the main report  it runs that controls which jobs get rolled off is RSBTCDEL2.
    Thanks.

  • Past due PurRqs are getting deleted in APO but not getting deletd in R3

    Hi folks,
    We have a daily job, which runs at 18:00 hrs in the evening everyday in the APO Production System.The job is to delete all past due Purchase Requisitions for last 2 years (job & variant details are mentioned below) All the past due PurRqs are getting deleted from APO, which we have cross-cheked in RRP3 view many times.
    However the same is not getting deleted in R3 systems. The planner/end- user is getting confused & hassled by this list of old PurRqs which is visible in R3 through MD04 t-code.
    Please suggest remedial/corrective actions to get this issue sorted.
    The job details for the deletion of past purchase requisitions.
    The job is run with the following variant details:

    ABAP Program name :/SAPAPO/RLCDELETE
    VARIANT Details
    Select Object-> By Categories ->Category = AG (PurRqs in R3)

    Fixed Order (ticked)

    Past due PurRqs are not getting deleted in R3 systems. The planner/end-user is getting confused & hassled resulting in loss of productive time & generation of erroneous planning which is negatively impacting Business.

    Do you run the CCR on a daily basis. If so do you see the "reqs missing in R/3" in the CCR ?
    Also what is your transfer setting ? Meaning the transfer from APO to R/3 configuration  - is it immediate or change pointer based ? check that also
    Thanks
