Join-engine doesn't pick up / process changes (add) in metaview

Hi,
I have a meta-dir 5.1 running on a solaris box with connectors to oracle, ads en edirectory. Up till now everything was working fine, until for no appearant reason the join-engine stopped processing add or modify events in my metaview.
The strange is that is doesn't process the add or modify events of an entry in my directory, but it does pick up the delete events.
I have enabled all logging options to be the most verbose and I came up with this entry in my join-engines logs:

The join-engine simply quits processing the (changelog) entry and resumes its polling for other changes....
What does that mean "change_not_scope"? The number behind the message is my changelog number containing the add event and object it referrs to. Why or what determines that this change is not in scope? And why only for add or modify events where as a delete does get processed?
Can anybody shed some light on this?

My original problem was JAR locking. I changed context.xml files both in conf\ and my application.

You can't do anything except speak in a different accent. Apple would have to add specific support for different accents in a future iOS update.

CQ doesn't pick up nodetypes.cnd changes using Package Manager

Hi,
CQ doesn't seem to pick up the changes in custom nodetype definitions in nodetypes.cnd when I install the package containing the updated nodetypes.cnd using Package Manager, how do I get around this?
Steps
1) fire up a fresh installation of CQ
2) In Package Manager, upload a CQ package containing custom nodetypes.cnd
3) check that the custom nodetypes are registered in Node Type Administration console
4) change nodetypes.cnd by adding a new property in a custom nodetype inside nodetypes.cnd file
5) make a new package with updated nodetypes.cnd file
6) In Package Manager, upload the new CQ package and install
7) check that the new property has been added in Node Type Administration console <-- ***FAIL***

You can only install new node types this way - but you cannot change existing node types with cnd files in a package. The package manager simply skips all existing namespace & node types in a cnd file.
This is because updating an existing node type might fail, depending on whether it is used in content and the change is conflicting. It's a schema change and that can be non-trivial. Therefore package manager does not try to tackle this at all.

You can do it yourself programmatically using the JCR API - take a look at the implementation of the above tool: /libs/cq/compat/components/ntupgrade/ntupgrade.jsp
But only do this during development - you should not plan for schema updates to production systems. In general, you want to minimize the use of schemas / node types with JCR. Use nt:unstructured, cq:Page, sling:Folder and co, and use properties (mostly sling:resourceType) to mark types. These can be much easier migrated.

Change Account Workflow in CUP - Doesn't pick up existing values for an Acc

Hi,
When using the change account option available in the CUP(5.3 SP 7), I expected the system to populate the user details as they exist in the provisioning system once I enter the account details that need a change. We have the 'Search' and 'User Details' Data source configured to the same SAP R/3 system.
For eg, when requesting for a new account, I've chosen an Employee Type attribute as 'Non-Employee' (SAP delivered request attribute) and entered some values for my custom attributes .
And when I chose to change the same user account, I notice that the system doesn't pick up the existing values for any of the attributes and render them. For the Employee Type attribute, it shows the default value and for the custom fields, they are shown blank!!!!
It does seem like the user attribute values from R/3 are being picked up and displayed correctly, but the ones from GRC Database are left out.
I believe this to be a bug and does anyone experienced this issue and found a fix????

This brings up a basic question on the repository for saving user attribs...ie. does all these need to be saved on R/3? Assuming yes depending on our current configuration(We have the 'Search' and 'User Details' Data source configured to the same SAP R/3 system), do we have a standard field for saving the 'Employee Type' attrib in SAP?. I did perform a field mapping of a custom attirb to one of the SAP fields in the user master, and get it saved during user provisioning. But it doesn't pick it up from there when I perform a change account. Seems it's missing that reverse mapping. And I've chosen the 'Field Type' of the custom filed to Text as to enable free text during new account request.
Hope you may find something more.

J2EE engine doesn't start after changing password in configtool

The story is
1. -->I tried to deploy WebDynpro app but it throws error message:
Cannot login to the SAP J2EE Engine using user and password as provided in the Filesystem Secure Store. Enter valid login information in the Filesystem Secure Store using the SAP J2EE Engine Config Tool.
2. --> so I changed the password through configtool. restart everything but J2EE engine doesn't up anymore (grey colour in MMC).
3. --> I'm trying to run configtool (select default) but it won't start (because j2ee engine doesn't up).
Q. --> How to start configtool? how to reset back the password? or how to rectify this Database issue? help....
note: I can login to Database in MMC.

In the configtool (secure store) where you have changed the password there are two fields for password change (one for db and other for engine).You changed the password but your databse password is the earlier one .So first change the DB password because this is the password your instance uses to connect to DB and the same should be mentioned in the secure store of the configtool .If there is any mismatch you will face the problem which you are telling.

          I'm running wls 9.1 on XP in production mode as a stand-alone server. My web app is deployed in exploded format in an external directory.
          I'm trying to force the server to pick up the changes to static content like JSPs automatically and it's not working.
          1. I've set pageCheckSeconds = 1 in weblogic.xml and even though server picks this setting up it does nothing about it.
          2. I tried weblogic.Deployer utitlity to redeploy just one jsp file and it's not working because it's unable to get the full path to a source file. Can this happen due to application Context Path not being set properly?
          Does anybody come across issues like this?

File(FTP) Adapter doesn't pick any file from FTP server

Hi All,
This is a strange problem. I am trying to pick all the file from a FTP server using File Name: . . But the file adapter doesn't pick any file from the directory. When I change it to a specific file name eg. ABC.txt then it picks up the file ABC.txt only.
My requirement is to pick up all files in the directory and I just do not seem to understand what is wrong. I have used this wildcard option several times earlier and it always worked fine. But in this case, this does not work.
I changed the FTP server to point to an internal FTP server and it works fine.
I have checked all my parameters and everything looks okay. Like I mentioned earlier, if you specify exact file name, it picks up the file.
Any guess as to what is going on here?

Exit Code -11114 J2EE Engine doesn't start completely. DESPERATE

XI system - Windows - Oracle - ABAP + Java Stack
We would like to upgrade our J2EE Engine Version however, during the upgrade, there is a phase wherein the J2EE Engine is being started. But, as it is being started, it returns an error and it provides the message Exit Code -11114 and it starts restarts the J2EE Instance automatically over and over again. I've read a forum here that resolved this error. However, the scenario wherein the data source is database_only is not applicable to our case since our data source is already dataSourceConfiguration_r3_roles_db.xml. Furthermore, I've read in one of the logs that indicates that: Critical shutdown was invoked. Reason is: 5 core services have timed out http://adminadapter; security; jmx; com.sap.security.core.ume.service; basicadmin. Hope you could help us out! Please help us! This is affecting the business operation since the server 0 doesn't startup completely, thus the java sites are all inaccessible.

The thing is, that error message has been appearing when playing/recording a track that was running perfectly a few minutes ago and nothing has changed!
That can mean, that your project is too ambitious for your Mac. Are you using many complicated automations on that track?
4GB memory is not much, when doing audio processing. GarageBand will need all memory it can get, or will be forced to continually swap pages to your disk, to free RAM, and that can cause this error.
When this error occurs, it is best to restart the computer. This will free your RAM. Close all other applications that are competing for memory, i.e. other multimedia applications, and Safari.
Also, make sure, that you have plenty of free disk space. Don't let the free disk space drop below 20G.
Where is your project located? On an external drive or your internal drive? If it is on an external drive, connect this drive directly, not daisy-chained, or move the project to your internal drive.
I got up to eat, came back and tried to continue but GarageBand shuts down and displays that message every time I try to run the song. I've also recently run songs with several more tracks than this one and they worked perfectly. Any tips?

IPhone doesn't pick up wifi automatically

Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. Often my iPhone doesn't pick up wifi when I come into a wi-fi zone and stays on GPRS until I go into setting, wifi and then it picks up the network. Sometimes it does it automatically but it's annoying when it doesn't. It sometimes does the same with network signal if you go into a 'No Service' area and then come out of it it often takes a long time to pick up the network signal again. What could be wrong?

These are wi-fi networks your iPhone has connected with previously?
If not, your iPhone won't automatically connect to an available wi-fi network unless your iPhone has successfully connected to the network previously.
You can try resetting network settings at Settings > General > Reset.
This will erase all saved wi-fi networks and settings your iPhone has connected with previously and require manually re-joining every wi-fi network your iPhone has access to when returning within range of such a wi-fi network. This will also reset your cellular network connection.

For picking up the file file ready folder you need to do the following steps:
1) Creation of users and assinging password to the users.
2) Creation of maps in import manager for importing the data.
3) Creation of ports. In this you have to mention map name which you have made for importing the data, format of the file present in ready folder and your processing type as automatic.
4) Mention user name and password in the MDIS.ini file. Also mention the time interval.Save this file.
Now you can find that import server is picking up the data from ready folder.

BB doesn't pick up all emails from server

Can anyone tell me how to correct the following~ my BB curve doesn't pick up 100 % of the emails from my ISP server~~ have contacted provider and service I use~ neither seem able to correct~~ all emails show up on my PC~ but always miss a few on my BB

OK...please go through the KB that knottyrope provided...it has a lot of information...
Basically, your Outlook gets your mail from Charter. Your BB, via BIS, also gets your mail from Charter. Upon getting new emails, the BB/BIS will always leave messages on the server so that your Outlook can get them as well. But, Outlook can be configured to either leave them on the server or remove them from the server at the moment it downloads them from the server. If your Outlook is configured to delete them from the server upon download, then they quite simply aren't there for your BB/BIS to retrieve and push to your BB.
You need to check your Outlook settings to see if it is configured to leave messages on the server when it downloads. If it is not, then that is most likely the cause of your situation.

I scanned an image and want to use the image trace tool, but it doesn't pick up all the lines. Is there a way to darken the lines before using the image trace tool? Help!

If the scan is in B&W, then play with the Threshold setting here
If it's in Color, then you will have to open the scan in a Raster editing software (like Photoshop) and play with the Brightness/Contrast settings to make the lines bolder.

I have 2 Apple ID's. I bought all my music on first one. Now, update/sync doesn't pick up musiuc bc using a new Apple ID.... can i merge them onto my iPhone?

No.
Content bought using one Apple ID cannot be merged or transferred to another Apple ID.
All content is forever tied to the Apple ID used to obtain them.

I recently upgraded from 4S to 5S. There are 2 games that I wish to transfer to the new device. 1st game isn't available in the Store anymore, so can't download. 2nd game doesn't save when you change devices. How do I get those 2 apps to my new phone? Tnx
