Join two or more lines at intersect
Hi all,
New to the forums and really only asking here as I haven't been able to find an answer anywhere on the web.
I am trying to neatly join a 1pt horizontal line and 1pt 45° degree angle line together neatly at the point where they intersect using a single step, see screenshot:

Currently the only way of doing this is by adjusting the length of the lines by eye and trying to get them to overlap so that none of the end cap corners protrude which is time consuming...
I found a script which appears to extrude lines on their current "trajectory" until they collide and then joins them together, see below for example:

This would be a perfectly workable option however the script (found at http://illustrator.hilfdirselbst.ch/dokuwiki/skripte/javascript/collision) doesn;t appear to work with CS6 ...
Your help on this would be greatly appreciated as I have a 68 page brochure to ammend which uses this line style extensively throughout.

Presuming you wish to do it with the help of Illy, Smart Guides being your friends, you can do it in a few simple steps: ShiftClickDrag each of the end Anchor Points (Smart Guides asy intsect/anchor when you are there) and Join.

RajuSure it's possible with XSLT.
Just use the document() function to refer to one or more additional source documents. I recommend using an <xsl:variable> to capture the secondary document in a variable so you can easily refer to it any number of times in the stylesheet.
So, at the top-level of your stylesheet, just do:
<xsl:variable name="otherDoc" select="document('otherDoc.xml')"/>
Then anywhere you want to select nodes from the secondary document (will the full power of XPath), just start your XPath expression with the $otherDoc variable like this:
select="$otherDoc/something/somethingelse[somepredicate-if-needed]"
In this way you can combine the values of the current node in the main source document to lookup corresponding nodes in the secondary document and do joins this way. -

How to join two or more separate tracks into one track
I have a CD of music that I want to import. It is a study tool so all the tracks are parcelled up for easier examination- i.e. Beethoven's Symphony no. 5 in C Minor is not one long track, it is cut into 28 separate tracks ranging in time from 26 seconds 2:31 (minutes).
What I want to do is make all 28 tracks into one track so there is continuous play. I've tried the gapless album option. It didn't do the trick. Now I can just select continuous play button, but for things like 'party shuffle' it doesn't quite work - you end up with a 30 second blurb of a song.
Any suggestions?Insert the CD.
Select the songs you want as one track then menu Advanced -> Join CD tracks, then import the CD. -

I am beginner in MVC and I would like to create a view which populates two (or more) joined tables in a single view table as described below.

A blogger can have one or more blogs while one blog must be related to only one blogger.

From your description, it is not very clear that what you mean about the View, if it means the View concept in database as SQL Server, your required view should be as below:
Create view
as
Select Bloggers.bloggerName, Bloggers.blogTitle, Bloggers.blogImage
From Bloggers join Blogs on Bloggers.bloggerID = Blogs. bloggerID

WHERE clause creating a join for two or more tables
The CS3 Dreamweaver book says that the WHERE clause can
create a join for two or more tables. The join was created, but the
data is repeating. I have searched the web and this forum and have
not found the answer.
My Master page filters the recordset by Style No and when a
customer clicks on a particular style, it sends him to the Detail
page. All the records are showing from all tables on the detail
page from the Dynamic List, except they are showing multiple times
(ex. Size table has 4 sizes and Color table has 2 colors - my Size
Drop Down list is showing 8 options and my Color Drop Down List is
showing 8 options) I have a Master Page with a recordset pointing
to a Detail Page using the same recordset.
Master page works perfectly.
Master Recordset SQL:
SELECT products.itemID, products.category, products.styleno,
products.name, products.description, products.ourprice,
products.imageTH, products.image, coloroption.color,
sizeoption.size
FROM products, coloroption, sizeoption
WHERE category = 'chefcoats' AND
products.styleno=sizeoption.styleno AND
products.styleno=coloroption.styleno
GROUP BY products.styleno

click on the Color option and see White, Black, Red ONE TIME.
Is this possible?

Ansaf.Acrobat has a rich SDK, but not using the command line - declared obsolete by Adobe several decades ago (but taking a long time to die). To be fair, implementing thousands of APIs via command line would make for a rather complicated command line. Use OLE. BUT NOT ON A SERVER!!

The selected objects cannot be joined as they are invalid objects,( Compound paths, closed paths, Text Objects, Graphs, Live Paint group).
You can use Join command to connect two or more paths, paths in groups; ot to close an open path.

This sound like a firewall issue. I would start by disabling the firewall and seeing if you can connect. If this works then you know where the problem is,

I am wondering how to join two xmltype tables in xml db database. both tables are schema based object-relational tables.
these are the examples:
academicProgram table contain batch of academicprogram.xml entries

I am trying to develop a query in MS Access 2010 to join two tables using three joins, one of which is a (between) date range. The tables are contained in Access. The reason
the tables are contained in access because they are imported from different ODBC warehouses and the data is formatted for uniformity. I believe this cannot be developed using MS Visual Query Designer. I think writing a query in SQL would be suiting this project.

on this computer. There are no "Null" fields in either of the tables.
This table has many orders (MSORDER) that need to match one order (GLORDER) in GLORDR. This is based on MSPART joined to GLPART, MSSERIAL joined to GLSERIAL, and MSOPNDATE joined if it falls between GLSTARTDATE and GLENDDATE.

We have tried joining two DSO's and are getting the warning that "more than one datasource has been used in this report". It appears that the DSO driver does not support joins. The report runs but it is VERY slow, the same sort of performance you get when you try to join data from two datasources that are actually different (like two different SQL Server databases or an Oracle table joined to a SQL Server table). It appears that this is not a supported function with the DSO driver. Any thoughts?
Yes, we have created the joins between the two DSOs. We are looking into using the Open SQL driver to go against the base tables to see if that will work. This is how the original ODS driver used to work.
Update: After changing the join type to a left outer join the performance improved signficantly. Although not ideal it looks like it will be fine for our requirements. This particular report will be run monthly and scheduled to run overnight.

I have the same problem using the default "Look 4" template for the region. I have found in the CSS file where it is defined and it specifies "nowrap" in the style, which is why the long value is not being split over multiple lines.
So, my question is, without modifying or creating templates, is there a way to override the "nowrap" attribute from within the item definition? e.g. in the Column Attributes.Column Formatting.CSS Style field. I had some success changing the display properties, such as background colour and font size but I can't seen to override the nowrap attribute!
