JQuery Tools- Has anybody used this?

Hi,
I'm still on the fence as to whether to jump just a little more into jQuery before Apex 4 and I chanced on the [jquery tools|http://flowplayer.org/tools/using.html] website and it seems to do the things I need it to do.
So just wanted to know if anybody has used jQuery tools with Apex and if so what the experience has been.

I'm a huge proponent of jQuery and strongly recommend it. There's absolutely no reason to wait for 4.0 As far as jQuery Tools, well I've never heard of it but it looks like a nice collection of UI elements. If you see yourself using most of those elements, then it might be right for you. At the very least their documentation page has some good information on the role of CSS, JavaScript, HTML, the fact that JavaScript is a functional language that uses prototypical inheritance, not classical inheritance, etc. If nothing else, reading, re-reading, then re-re-reading that page is worth the time.
Keep in mind APEX 4.0 will ship with [jQuery UI|http://jqueryui.com/demos/], so you'll see a lot of examples built around it. There's quite a bit of overlap between jQuery Tools and jQuery UI, so you might at least have a look at jQuery UI to see if it's a better fit or not.
2 other points to consider. I didn't see any license on jQuery Tools which would make me a little nervous. Is it GPL, MIT, etc? Also, take a close look at their second on IE 6. I completely agree with it in that IE 6 is a POS that was released in 2001 and is holding the entire web back / costing everyone a lot of time and money in development costs (my words, not theirs). It's on it's way out, but jQuery Tools seems to hint that some of their stuff doesn't work with IE 6. If you need IE 6 support, you should probably test this library first.

I have also used Web Alchemy, but have never come across a
production version (I tried also). It's a shame it was never
completed, as it only seems to support HTML v2.

I don't think this is a Firefox problem. I have the same error message and I get it regardless of whether I'm using Firefox or another browser.
In checking [http://www.whatsrunning.net/QueryProductID.aspx?Product=16854] it is a file owned by Microsoft. I suggest you check your registry for errors.

microsoft website?When I try using it with WL 6.1 sp1 it says it can't load the
driver.I try viewing the class file from the jar file using the jar utility it
gives an unknown Zip format error.Anybody has any solution for this ?If anybody
has managed to work with this microsoft driver i will be grateful if they provide
me with a solution.

You may want to download the driver again and install it again.
heres a sample xml tag in the config.xml:

ensure that you follow the instructions from Microsoft. For using 2000

I found a link to this sample from this forum, and I need to implement a similar functionality. I tried running the code of this sample but it returns a "NullPointerException" for the call "GetHeaderRenderer" in the class "GroupableTableHeaderUI".
Has anybody tried this, and if so, how do I get this sample to work ??

I ran into this problem a while ago. If you are using SDK 1.3 and above, tame's example won't work. You need to some minor modification in the "GroupableTableHeaderUI" java file. I have already made it work under SDK 1.3.02. I don't have the source code at home. So, if you need to take look at my source code please let me know, I can either e-mail or post it when I return to my office.

I was on cnets website and just found this website audiko.net and it lets you put your music on your iphone or you can choose from the available music they have. Has anybody used it or know anything about it?

I just added a few song to my iPhone and it worked great. I also added some songs to the site, then into my iPhone and it also worked. I guess the site is ok. If anybody else tries it let me know if they run into problems.

Documentation found on help.sap.com states that this transaction can help dealing with alternate unit of measure conversion ("equivalent to currency conversion")
I have created a quantity conversion type in RSUOM but I have not found how to use it - is it in the update rules or the Bex or somewhere else.
Any thoughts?

Hello Ioan,
this functionality corresponds to currency conversion (and is implemented with a similar concept "conversion type"). Both unit conversions within one dimension (e.g. kg -> g) and e.g. material dependent conversions (e.g. kg -> palettes) are supported.
Currently the conversion can be used within the new transformations and within a planning function. Interactive conversion in query/Bex is not yet supported.

Now the problem is .. once in a while the code will hang at point 1 and will never reach point 2. Exception handling has been done.. but there are no exceptions being logged. The code simply hangs.
Please let me know if you have also faced the same or similiar problem.

Strange that your dealer could not help.
When my car was in for its 6 month service in July/August I mentioned this problem to the dealer service dept (Northway Honda, Bundoora, Vic)
The person booking the car in told me an update to the software was needed and that they would do the update.
I don't know if it was free as there was no specific listing of a software update on the invoice - just a lot of item numbers.

Illegal Load factor 0.0 -- Has anybody seen this?

I am getting this weird error once in a while.
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Illegal load factor: 0.0
     at java.util.HashMap.<init>(Unknown Source)
     at java.util.LinkedHashMap.<init>(Unknown Source)
     at java.util.HashSet.<init>(Unknown Source)
     at java.util.LinkedHashSet.<init>(Unknown Source)
THis is caused by a call to something as simple as:
Set<IAgent> result = new LinkedHashSet<IAgent>();
Has anybody seen this error before?
I sometimes also get this error while compiling my code inside Eclipse.
I am afraid this could be a hardware related problems since I only see this error while running on my machine with an AMD 4800, windowsXP pro sp 2, sun jdk 1.5.0_06.
It is not persistent. It only happens once in a while.
Any suggestions of what could be the source of the problem?

if you are saying eclipse is throwing the error, then somewhere in eclipse they have passed 0.0 as the second argument to the HashMap constructor,
HashMap(int initialCapacity, float loadFactor)and you should post this as a bug here:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/
If it is your code that is doing it, don't do that.

Has anybody use AD4J ? I have problems with the agent

I want to profile our production system (in ADF 10.1.3.3) that runs in OAS 10.1.3.3 that run on RH linux ES 4, 64 bit.
The problem is : after I deploy the agent to the OAS, when I go to the AD4J console, still the message : 'No JVMs ACtive'.
What could cause this problem ?
Has anybody experienced this ?

Anyway, check the README for your the support of your JDK first. If this is not yet supported, try a supported one or go to Metalink (metalink.oracle.com) and file an enhancement request (you need a support contract for this).

I am not certain, but I believe there is a version of Dazzle for the Mac. However, it is not the route I would chose.
You really need a proper analogue to digital converter, like the ADVC110, to connect to your camera via the usual RCA cables, and to your Mac via firewire.

We already have DSC 7, so if it�s easier and/or quicker, I�ll probably end up using that. I guess what I need to do run through the Introduction to DSC so I at least know the basics of it.
One question, do I need to have the customer�s equipment to configure the DNP connection so I can test communication with the Server Explorer? Or do I just need to know the format of the Tags to configure so he can test it.

i was wondering if anybody used the extractor 0CO_PC_PCP_03 for cost estimate itemization. I know that it is basically used for SEM but came to know that it can be used for BW after applying few OSS notes.
If at all anybody used this extractor for BW please let me know its validity.
We have already applied the following OSS notes for this extractor :

But we are still not sure if we are getting correct data.

i have applied 3 OSS notes to 0CO_PC_PCP_03 in R/3 but we are still missing certain material cost estimates although these material entries are found in KEKO and CKIS tables and are with quantity structure. I know that this extractor only extracts material cost estimates with quantity structure.
it would be great if you could answer few of my questions.
1.Does this extractor takes into consideration any other factors relating to Material cost estimates.
2.what we notice is it brings BOM details only for primary cost elements. is this how this extractor behaves??
3.what kind of BOM useage it takes into consideration?
