Illegal Load factor 0.0 -- Has anybody seen this?

Hi
I am getting this weird error once in a while.
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Illegal load factor: 0.0
     at java.util.HashMap.<init>(Unknown Source)
     at java.util.LinkedHashMap.<init>(Unknown Source)
     at java.util.HashSet.<init>(Unknown Source)
     at java.util.LinkedHashSet.<init>(Unknown Source)
THis is caused by a call to something as simple as:
Set<IAgent> result = new LinkedHashSet<IAgent>();
Has anybody seen this error before?
I sometimes also get this error while compiling my code inside Eclipse.
I am afraid this could be a hardware related problems since I only see this error while running on my machine with an AMD 4800, windowsXP pro sp 2, sun jdk 1.5.0_06.
It is not persistent. It only happens once in a while.
Any suggestions of what could be the source of the problem?
Marcel

if you are saying eclipse is throwing the error, then somewhere in eclipse they have passed 0.0 as the second argument to the HashMap constructor,
HashMap(int initialCapacity, float loadFactor)and you should post this as a bug here:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/
If it is your code that is doing it, don't do that.

  • Has Anybody seen this VPC error on the 5k?

Ok, my VPC is up and working for all my devices except my connection to the uplink switch. It is a sinle 3750 with port channles consisting of 4 interfaces. It is connected to two 5010s. I show the following error when I show VPC
"vpc port channel mis-config due to vpc links in the 2 switches connected to differnt partners"
Google does not have much on this error and this is the first time I have seen this. Any idea on what might casue this?
    Thanks for any help.

    Hi Justin,
I have not specifically come across this error before, but it seems to suggest that both your vpc peer devices do not recognise the 3750 as a single switch, but two separate entities, thus perceive the links as separate.  Is the 3750 a stack of switches where you have distributed the etherchannel uplinks across seperate switches in the stack, commonly referred to as cross-stack Etherchannel?
Ensure that all four uplinks on the 3750s are configured within the same port-channel group using LACP (mode active), similarly that the N5K uplinks are configured or associated with the same port-channel and vpc identifier.  Could you post the configuration of your uplink from the 3750(s), and N5K uplinks to the 3750 and peer-link and keep-alive link.
If you do a show interface trunk on the N5K, do any vlans show not forwarding and that are err-disabled, this suggest that the incorrect VLANs are not consistent across the uplinks.
    Hope this helps.
    Allan.

  • Has anybody seen this??

My Samsung Continuum was stuck on a blank home screen and after 2 hrs I finally turned it off.  I turned the phone on and the first screen that popped up is a little triangle picture of the Android robot sweeping and it says "Downloading... do not turn off target!!!". I have never seen this screen in the 2 yrs I have had the phone. My wifi and data are both turned off so I'm not sure how it would be downloading anyway. I have not tried to turn it off again, for obvious reasons, but I need my phone.

Hello michaels1mom! Great question. I have to admit that I haven't seen that happen before, but I can certainly understand why such a thing would concern you. Normally, alerts like that are the result of self-initiated software updates. It sounds to me as if that's the case. If I'm right, then you should be able to use the device again normally. Please reach out if you need any other assistance!

  • Has anybody seen this issue?

Hey guys, I've searched along the forum and seen many helpful hints and tips so thanks to all the guys whose ideas I have used and not thanked them for.
    Anyway down to business;
My internet, for the most part, is very good. It's 802.11n, I'm using a new airport extreme with a Mac Pro 2.66 and all the kit except the router, (DG834), is Apple. All software updates are applied, and the network is using all the necessary security settings, I have tried it on both b and g and it makes no difference.
Right so every now and then Safari may drop and tell me I'm not connected to the internet. I can click the Airport Icon in the menu bar and can see theat Airport is alternating about once per second between 'On' and 'Scanning'.
Is it time for a visit to the Apple Store?

Right, I'll reply to myself on this one. Been to the Apple store and looked at couple of the iMAcs they have there. They exhibit exactly the same behaviour, if with not quite the same frequency as mine.
I therefore ignored this. After that I came home and removed and them re-applied all the settings from my base station and all of a sudden the Airport speed is back!

  • HAS ANYBODY SEEN THIS PROBLEM

I have posted this twice under two other threads but nobody has an answer. Surely there is somebody from Adobe that looks at these things.
I have taken a Adobe Reader 9.3.0 msi file along with the other 5 files from a fresh install and ran msiexec /a AcroRead.msi /p AdbeRdrUpd932_all_incr.msp. Everything ran perfect. I then installed the new package that was created through a GPO. No problems.
When I go to Edit>Preferences>Trust Manager>Settings all the settings on that form are grayed out. I also notice that when I open any pdf file and click on a link in that file it blocks the link even if it is another pdf file. There is no option to Allow or open or save or anything just a message saying your blocked and a link to a trust manager help file. 9.30 doesn't do that 9.3.1 doesn't do that but 9.3.2 does.
I have tried installing from Adobe's web site  and then downloading the 9.3.2 msp file and running it. That works but incoporating 9.3.2 into 9.3.0 so I can push it out through Active Directory does not work.
I have worked on this problem for days and tried everything I can think of and can not get this to work. Surely someone else has this problem. or somebody know how to fix it. I am desperate Please Help!!!

    Hi,
Sorry to bump this post but I seem to be having a similar problem with the latest 9.3.4 release. However I am using the MSI from the FTP site mentioned above.
I download the 9.3.0 MSI, then apply the MSPs for 9.3.1, 9.3.2, 9.3.3 and 9.3.4 using:
    msiexec /p file.msp /a file.msi
The resulting install has the options in Trust Maganer grayed out.
Has anyone else had this problem with the latest version?
    Thanks
    Gareth

  • Has anybody seen this boot problem?

Grey progress bar appears under apple logo during startup.   When progress bar seems to complete the process the Mini CPU switches off.   Not sure what caused the problem, but the Mac mini was recently upgraded to the latest OS x version 9.5.1.  The only previous issue I had was running out of RAM, however this was solved by upgrading from 2GB o 4GB RAM.

Startup - Gray, Blue or White screen at boot, w/spinner/progress bar

  • TS1702 iBooks won't load PDF files any more on my Ipad2. Anybody seen this one before?

    Hello All,
iBooks won't load PDF files any more.
I have a lot of PDF files so I thought I reached a maximum number of files or space so I deleted a lot of old files but this did not help.
I rebooted, synced, updated, restarted, etc. - everything that I can think of and I still have the same problem.
I don't remembered the last file that I loaded into iBooks, as I usually put them into collections.
I can still load PDF files into other applications like PDF Reader, but I prefer to have them all in iBooks.
    Anybody seen this one before?
    I have 64GB iPad2 and I have over 14GB free space.

There have been several threads on this topic over the last few weeks. It's not clear what the issue is, and it is not universal, but tend to effect users storing large numbers of PDFs in iBooks. Possible it has some thing to dowith capacity of the app, or specific characteristics of some of the PDFs.
You might have a look at the "More Like This" list to the left of this page.

  • My iPad will not connect to a computer with the cable which  means no updates or down loads. I have tried new cables and different computers. Has anyone seen this before?

Has anyone seen this issue before?

Possibly. Do you have other devices and will they connect?
One possible thing that it could be is that the USB port on your iPad has gone bad. It happened to mine. Couldn't sync, could barely charge (it said 'not charging' even when plugged into the wall)
I'd take it to the apple store, see if they can replicate it, and if they can, then they can diagnose it. Just back it up before you go, in case they do exchange it.

  • Itunes doesn't display graphics, only text, has anyone seen this?

Just loaded iTunes 10.5 on Windows...only TEXT is displayed...has anyone seen this?

I have this exact problem, and it occurs on every device I own: iMac, Macbook, iPad, Win 7. The explanation for the issue is that the stylesheet isn't coming over (.CSS).
Because it occurs on every device in my house, I'm assuming there's something in my wireless router configuration that's causing it. I haven't found the issue yet, but I'm digging through my modem configuration to see.
go to either http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.1.1
That's your modem's IP address. If you can figure out what's in the configuration that's causing it, please post back.

  • Pop-up window with an attempt to open a URL - has anyone seen this?

I was browsing a website for music lyrics when a suspicious pop-up appeared, along with a very small browser window (about an inch square on the screen). This has happened twice even though I have pop-ups blocked.
The pop-up had the Safari icon and looked like a standard mac window. The text contained the following:
    <edited by host>
Antivirus 2009 will perform a quick and 100% free
scan of your computer for Viruses, Spyware and Adware.
Do you want to install Antivirus 2009 to scan your
    computer for malware now? (Recommended)
There is a cancel and an OK button at the bottom.
The small browser window appears to be contacting the onlineprivatescan.com URL
I did a force-quit because I did not want to click either button.
I reset Safari, and ran the DNSChanger Removal Tool
from macupdate, but it didn't find anything. I have not loaded codecs from any websites and I had just completed the latest Apple updates for OSX, Quicktime and iTunes before this problem occured.
Has anyone seen this? Is this serious? I've never had any problems with Safari before this.

Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger automatically checks your downloads for malicious software and content that could harm your system or collect information from your computer. You can read more about that here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2340
If you feel you need added protection, read on:
SecureMac has introduced a free Trojan Detection Tool for Mac OS X. It's available here:
    http://macscan.securemac.com/
The DNSChanger Removal Tool detects and removes spyware targeting Mac OS X. Called DNSChanger Trojan and also known as OSX.RSPlug.A Trojan Horse, the software attacks users attempting to play a fake video file.
Upon attempting to play the video, the victim receives the following message:
“Quicktime Player is unable to play movie file.
Please click here to download new version of codec.”
Upon running the installer, the user's DNS records are modified, redirecting incoming internet traffic through the attacker's servers, where it can be hijacked and injected with malicious websites and pornographic advertisements. The trojan also installs a watchdog process that ensures the victim's DNS records stay modified on a minute-by-minute basis.
SecureMac's DNSChanger Removal Tool allows users to check to see if the trojan has been installed on their computer; if it has, the software helps to identify and remove the offending file. After a system reboot, the users' DNS records will be repaired.
There may be other ways of guarding against Trojans, viruses and general malware affecting the Mac. A white paper has recently been published on the subject by SubRosaSoft, available here:
    http://www.macforensicslab.com/ProductsAndServices/index.php?mainpage=document_general_info&cPath=11&productsid=174
    Also, beware of MacSweeper:
MacSweeper is malware that misleads users by exaggerating reports about spyware, adware or viruses on their computer. It is the first known "rogue" application for the Mac OS X operating system. The software was discovered by F-Secure, a Finland based computer security software company on January 17, 2008

On June 23, 2008 this news reached Mac users:

The latest news on the subject, from July 25, 2008, is:
Attack code that exploits flaws in the net's addressing system are starting to circulate online, say security experts.
The code could be a boon to phishing gangs who redirect web users to fake bank sites and steal login details.
In light of the news net firms are being urged to apply a fix for the loop-hole before attacks by hi-tech criminals become widespread.
Net security groups say there is anecdotal evidence that small scale attacks are already happening.

I don't think this is a Firefox problem. I have the same error message and I get it regardless of whether I'm using Firefox or another browser.
In checking [http://www.whatsrunning.net/QueryProductID.aspx?Product=16854] it is a file owned by Microsoft. I suggest you check your registry for errors.
