JRC ParameterField Interface/Classs no access to isOptionalPrompt attribute

In the model schema for parameter field, is there a way to find out if a parameter is optional?  It looks like the api does not provide a method to the object attribute isOptionalPrompt and I'm guessing that this attribute is private.  Am I wrong?  And if is this way, will the JRC provide this functionality in the future?

Hugo,
Yes the code is I guess confidential, as we market the product.
However I believe the previous post suggested a way to apply the attributes to the document. These attributes work in a similar was to normal attributes so you can use methods such as :
From LibraryObject - setAttribute
after first constructing the AttributeValue which you could obtain from a user input form, and then apply.
It depends what your requirements are : If WebUI gives you all you need, apart from extended attributes, then it may be worth you writing a small jsp that could be included into the WebUi pages to display the properties - but don't forget this is not supported by Oracle.
You would then need to write a front end form to set the attributes, the key trick here is if you want to amend WebUI, you have to obtain the id of the document. I've not looked at WebUI in detail as we wrote our own interface, but you would need to hook in somewhere there.
If your requirements are wider then you may want to think about either writing or purchasing a customised user interface and functionality.
Maybe if you could provide a few more details of your requirements I could help a little more. If you would like to take this out of the forums, email me [email protected]

  • Access to class-attribute by Interface-reference

    Hi OO-Gurus,
    I use an implementation of BADI ME_PROCESS_REQ_CUST to fill and handle user-defined fields in the MM-Purchase-Requisition, method IF_EX_ME_PROCESS_REQ_CUST~OPEN.
    There I  use a reference variable which refers to an interface (type ref to IF_PURCHASE_REQUISITION_ITEM) to access the item-object. My problem is that I need to have access to the class-attribute my_state. The corresponding class lcl_req_item is defined locally (LMEREQF01). So I can’t use  a reference variable with reference to this class (so widening cast using the interface-reference is not possible) .. Does anyone know a trick how to access the class-attribute anyway?
    Coding:
      data:  l_item_list       TYPE MMPUR_REQUISITION_ITEMS,
               l_item             TYPE MMPUR_REQUISITION_ITEM,
               l_item_akt       TYPE mereq_item,
               l_item_ref        TYPE ref to IF_PURCHASE_REQUISITION_ITEM.
      l_item_list = im_header->get_items().
      loop at l_item_list into l_item.
        l_item_akt = l_item-item->get_data( ).
        l_item_ref = l_item-item.
      endloop.
    (Debugging the code, I manage by doubleclicking the fieldcontent of l_item_ref (e.g ) to show the content of the class-attribute my_state. This works only if the field “Interface” in the Debugger is empty because then I see the attributes of the class. If the field Interface is filled with “IF_PURCHASE_REQUISITION_ITEM”, there aren’t any attributes shown.)
    Thanks in advance for your kind help!!

    Hello Nicole
    The following sample coding shows you how to solve your problem. Please do not ask me how I came across this solution.
    However, if you are studying it carefully you may stumble across a most beautiful property of field-symbols as I did.
    METHOD if_ex_me_process_req_cust~open.

      l_item TYPE mmpur_requisition_item,

      l_item_list = im_header->get_items( ).
      LOOP AT l_item_list INTO l_item.
        l_item_akt = l_item-item->get_data( ).
        l_item_ref = l_item-item.
        lo_obj     ?= l_item-item.  " casting to root object !!!!!
        ld_attr = 'MY_STATE'.
        ASSIGN lo_obj->(ld_attr) TO <lo_lcl>.
        ld_attr = 'MY_STATE->ITEM'.
        ASSIGN lo_obj->(ld_attr) TO <ls_item>.
    "    ASSIGN l_item_ref->(ld_attr) TO <ls_item>.  " does not work...
        ld_attr = 'MY_STATE->ITEMX'.

  • Error accessing constnt public attribute of a class in an overwrite method.

    Hi Gurus,
    I am facing an error while accessing a constant public attribute while using it in the overwrite-exit of a methods.
    The constant which is declared as public in the attribute section of the class is not available in the overwrite-exit of the method.
    Please suggest me how to access the public attributes in the overwtire exits of the methods.
    Thanks.

    Hi Ramneek,
    Let me explain you the entire scenario:
    Actually we are trying to ehance the SAP standard class : CL_FITV_POWL_FEEDER_TRIPS in ECC 6.0 EHP 5 .
    We tried to create and overwrite-exit of the method "IF_POWL_FEEDER~GET_ACTIONS".
    Overwrite-exit of a method is just like a method which will be called instead of the standard method : IF_POWL_FEEDER~GET_ACTIONS.
    But the problem which we are facing here is that the Attributes which are defined in the class CL_FITV_POWL_FEEDER_TRIPS,  are getting accessed from the overwrite-exit method.
    Becuase of this we are not able to implement our custom logic.

  • [ETL]Could you please help with a problem accessing UML stereotype attributes ?

    Hi all,
    Could you please help with a problem accessing UML stereotype attributes and their values ?
    Here is the description :
    -I created a UML model with Papyrus tool and I applied MARTE profile to this UML model.
    -Then, I applied <<PaStep>> stereotype to an AcceptEventAction ( which is one of the element that I created in this model ), and set the extOpDemand property of the stereotype to 2.7 with Papyrus.
    -Now In the ETL file, I can find the stereotype property of extOpDemand as follows :
    s.attribute.selectOne(a|a.name="extOpDemand") , where s is a variable of type Stereotype.
    -However I can't access the value 2.7 of the extOpDemand attribute of the <<PaStep>> Stereotype. How do I do that ?
    Please help
    Thank you

    Hi Dimitris,
    Thank you , a minimal example is provided now.
    Version of the Epsilon that I am using is : ( Epsilon Core 1.2.0.201408251031 org.eclipse.epsilon.core.feature.feature.group Eclipse.org)
    Instructions for reproducing the problem :
    1-Run the uml2etl.etl transformation with the supplied launch configuration.
    2-Open lqn.model.
    There are two folders inside MinimalExample folder, the one which is called MinimalExample has 4 files, model.uml , lqn.model, uml2lqn.etl and MinimalExampleTransformation.launch.
    The other folder which is LQN has four files. (.project),LQN.emf,LQN.ecore and untitled.model which is an example model conforming to the LQN metamodel to see how the model looks like.
    Thank you

  • Controlling access to display attributes that are also characteristics

    In earlier versions of BI an authorization relevant characteristic (such as profit center) could be secured in navigation but could be made visible universally by creating a second authorization object for the characteristic and granting * access for the second object and restricted access for the first. As long as one authorization object for the characteristic had * access the display attribute was visible but one could still control navigation and selection. Now that authorization objects are no longer created what mechanism would be used to allow restrictions on navigation while keeping access open for a display attribute?
    For those that are having trouble seeing where this might be relevant: consider a cube that has both  consolidation unit and a profit center characteristics that are both authorization relevant. They are not exactly orthogonal for business reasons (especially at the node level) but someone who is reporting on the profit center characteristic may want to see what consolidation unit that the profit center belongs to. The consolidation unit is also a display attribute of the profit center but the user may not be authorized for the entire consolidation unit. Without authorization he cannot see the display attribute. There is no authorization issue for the attribute display but there is a restriction for the consolidation unit as a whole. The user can summarize over the CU ( only.   How is this allowed in the latest versions that use analysis authorizations and not authorization objects?

    Good afternoon Corwin,
    Have a look at SAP Note 761089 - point 4 might be helpful. It may be that you haven't given the users enough authorisations to see and use the attributes.

    Karen

    Hi,
    a very easy way is to define an attribute TYPE REF TO DATA in the super class and write generic access methods which work with it by dereferencing it and assigning a field symbol. This might even save you the effort of creating a class hierarchy, because one class may be able to handle all the data objects whose types are only known at run-time.
    In the below example, the only specific thing about the sub class is the constructor in which the data object is created and typed:

  • Accessing impl class attribute

    Hi Experts,
    if i declare one variable in controller class of a view and how can access the variable in contex naode .

    Hi srinivas.yangal,
    You can access the View implementation Class Attributes in Context.
    1] Go to Context Node Implementation Class
    2] Create a attribute GV_VIEW_CONTROLLER in Impl class of Context Node.
    DATA : GV_VIEW_CONTROLLER TYPE REF TO CL_BSP_WD_VIEW_CONTROLLER .
    3] Go to INIT method of Context Node.
    4] Assign instance LV_VIEW_CONTROLLER to GV_VIEW_CONTROLLER of Context Node Impl. Class.
    GV_VIEW_CONTROLLER = LV_VIEW_CONTROLLER.
    Then you can access your Instance attributes defined in View Impl. class inside the context node through GV_VIEW_CONTROLLER attribute as follows.
    ABC = GV_VIEW_CONTROLLER->XYZ.
    Reward points if useful.

  • Access the oparational attribute 'entryUUID' of an ldap entry

    How can I access the oparational attribute 'entryUUID' of an ldap entry? Does someone have a sample code fragment?

    Attributes attribs = initLdapCtx.getAttributes(fullName, new String[]{"+"});
    This is for OpenLDAP only, because it's the only server I know which supports "+" meaning "all Attributes".
    For other Servers you might need to specify the entryUUID Attibute explicitly in the String Array. But be aware that this Attribute might have different Names on different Servers.

  • OCA admin web interface - can't access certificate management tab

    Hi there.
    This is very strange, a week a go I could issue certficate requests in the user web interface and then aprove them in the admin web interface.
    Now I can issue certificate requests in the user web interface but when I try to aprove the request by accessing the certificate management tab, the web browser stays a lot of time trying to access the page and timesout with a "cannot display this page" error.
    I've been looking at log files, but untill now, I couldn't find anything. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong files?
    Does anyone had this problem before?
    Thanks and regards,
    Ricardo Vilhena

    When you access the admin page, does it ask to select the certificate you want to use?
    If don't, or you don't see this (in a windows with a list) they you may try to reset OCA, this happens when the certificate is lost or have been disabled, rejected or deleted, and as you dont have anything to use, you can't see the page.
    Hope this helps.

  • Groupwise Webaccess Basic Interface via NAM (Access Manager)

    Hi,
    I have just setup Groupwise as a protected resource behind NAM (Access Manager), and it works great. The only issue is that I did not take account for the mobile users using the webaccess basic interface. What I think is a possible solution is to have a different URL for the basic interface along the lines of http://portal.website.com/gwbasic, but what I need to do is to be able to get webaccess at the backend to open in basic interface mode from NAM. Can anyone please give me some clues of what needs to be passed in the headers to get Webaccess to render the basic interface?
    Thanks,
    Mark Currie

    Yeah I flipped a coin whether to post it here or in the NAM forum...I don't normally like to multi-post, but I think I will make an exception is this case as it concerns both products...I've been trying to capture the post from the webacc login screen to see if I can fool it without much success so far....Need to do SSO as their are quite a few line of business apps that are being NAM'ed. Thanks, Mark Currie

  • Declaring and accessing custom global attributes of component controller

    Hi,
    I want to declare some global attributes for Component Controller and initialize them in WdDoInit() method.
    I have declared them under Component Controller --> Attributes tab --> after wd_context and wd_this (say G_MESSAGE).
    However,  when I am trying to set them in wdDoInit() method, I get compilation error saying G_MYMESSAGE is unknown and its not defined using data statement.
    How do I access these attributes?
    Thanks and regards,
    Amey

    Hello Amey,
    You need to access the variable by "wd_this->g_mymessage"
    Since wd_this attribute in each controller refers to interface of local controller. you could read the description of that attribute in attribute tab.

    This declaration is not right. There is no element logonuid, you  have the attribute inside a node. workset is a node and thats why you can declare that way.
    easiest way is to declate
    data lv_logonuid type <ddic type> or
    data lv_logonuid type wd_this-><node name>-logonuid.
    You can also use the code generator in (CTRL +F7 ) to get/set attributes.

  • Access to an attribute of a value node of a component controller

    Hello experts,
    I'm new to the area of SAP CRM Web Client UI development. My problem is probably very simple and you will surely smile about it.
    I have created my own component with the value node FILE (that consists of five atributes) in the component controller. Unfortunately I have not figured out yet how I can access the value of an attribute.
    The first thing I do not know is where I can find the controller-ID.
    In addition, I get an syntax error Field "TYPED_CONTEXT->FILE->COLLECTION_WRAPPER->GET_FIRST(" unknown in the line with "lo_entity = me->comp_controller->typed_context->file->collection_wrapper->get_first( ).".
    Currently no functionality is included in my code, because firstly I want to understand the basics.
    method OP_FILEUPLOAD.
      data lo_entity       type ref to if_bol_bo_property_access.
      data lv_file_name    type string.
      data lr_file_content type ref to data.
      field-symbols <lv_file_name> type string.
      IF ( comp_controller is INITIAL ).
        get_controller( 'xxxx' ).
      ENDIF.
      lo_entity = me->comp_controller->typed_context->file->collection_wrapper->get_first( ).
      while lo_entity is bound.
        lv_file_name = lo_entity->get_property_as_string( 'FILE_NAME' ).
        lr_file_content = lo_entity->get_property( 'FILE_CONTENT_STRING' ).
        assign lr_file_content->* to <lv_file_content>.
        lo_entity = me->typed_context->file->collection_wrapper->get_next( ).
      endwhile.
    endmethod.
    I hope that I will manage my "problem" with your help!

    Hi Sebastian,
    The issue is in the following line of your code:
    lo_entity = me->comp_controller->typed_context->file->collection_wrapper->get_first( ).
    The 'typed_context' belongs to your own component controller class and not the standard framework superclass. So, you need to replace this single line of code with something as follows (assuming that your component controller class is ZCL_CUSTOM_BSPWDCOMPONENT_IMPL):
    DATA lr_coco TYPE REF TO ZCL_CUSTOM_BSPWDCOMPONENT_IMPL.
    lr_coco ?= me->comp_controller.
    lo_entity = lr_coco->typed_context->file->collection_wrapper->get_first( ).
    The me->comp_controller reference will refer to the standard framework superclass of all component controllers and this does not have any typed_context attribute with it. The real component controller that gets created when you create a BSP component will have this attribute. That is why you need to first cast it to your own reference type before trying to access its typed_context.
    And if your value node will have only single values, then you can as well do the following to access the attribute ATTRIB1 of context node node1:
    DATA lv_value TYPE string.
    lv_value = lr_coco->typed_context->node1->get_attrib1( attribute path = '' ).
    Basically all attributes can be accessed by above code by using the right getter method.
    Regards,
    Shiromani
