JScrollBar Wheel Scrolling

How do I get the wheel scrolling to work with JScrollBar? It doesn't support the message setWheelScrollingEnabled(true).
-d

All you have to do is add a mouse wheel listener
scrollBar.addMouseWheelListener(new java.awt.event.MouseWheelListener() {
         public void mouseWheelMoved(java.awt.event.MouseWheelEvent e) {
            int wheelRotation = e.getWheelRotation();
      });

  • Mobile mouse 4000 horizontal wheel scroll doesn't work with Publisher 2007 or 2010

I installed a new Mobile Mouse 4000 on my W7 64 bit Dell laptop.  Installed Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center,  Drivers are up to date. The horizontal scrolling via lateral press on the wheel does not work properly with
Publisher 2010 or 2007.  The scroll bar moves, but not the graphic. It works properly with Word and Excel.  Is this mouse not compatible with Publisher?  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the mouse and the mouse software.

That's correct. Also, same problem with the same mouse on another laptop running W8.1. I tried your suggestion and Ctrl + Left and Right Arrow moves the graphic OK. I have since tried the mouse with Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 and found that the lateral
press on the wheel has no effect at all. The mouse software (Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center) has a selection box for applications that do not respond properly to wheel scrolling; I selected Publisher and Photoshop from the list but this had no effect
either. The horizontal scroll works properly with MS Picture Manager, Power Point and Access in addition to Excel and Word. Publisher is the only Office app that has a problem. The Office suite on the W8 laptop is a new install with all current updates. I
ran MS Office Diagnostis which said it repaired some issues, but didn't solve the Publisher scroll problem.

  • Mouse wheel scrolls only downwards (win7, configur...

The mouse scroll wheel scrolls only downwards on OVI views, even when trying to scroll upwards. This happens in windows 7 when the mouse wheel is configured to scroll one page at a time. There seems to be a Qt bug about this (https://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTBUG-12284), so please bump it.

Thanks for reporting this. I'll forward this information.

  • [X300] Mouse Wheel Scroll Lines Setting does not stick

I often use an external mouse (no additional driver needed). After every reboot, the setting "Mouse Wheel Scroll Lines" in Control-Panel -> Mouse -> Wheel is reset to 1 (I am using Vista). This is really annoying because it slows down scrolling extremely.
Does anyone have the same problem?
I think its caused somehow by the ALPS touchpad driver (The X300 has a really bad one, the Synaptics pads built in previous Thinkpads were WAY BETTER).

    VPN User ...
Have you made any progress?  I am having no luck getting the X300 touchpad to scroll with MANY applications: Photoshop, Illustrator, Access to mention some.  I use Windows XP - another user has complained that with Vista he does not getting scrolling to work with iTunes, Live Search.  Plus, wheel events are not handled by the Remote Desktop, so anytime you are tunneling, you don't get touchpad scrolling.  I have been expecting a new UltraNav driver for months - but nothing yet.  I think I have tried every combination of touchpad and trackpoint settings possible, but maybe you know something I don't.

I am sorry but the problem you describe is a completely different one. Personally, I don' t care for these few applications, especially iTunes and further rubbish. Fact is, the quality Ultranav2 Driver is much much worse compared to the Ultranav1 which uses a Synaptic touchpad. Responsiveness, accuracy, supported applications, bugs are much worse with the Ultranav2 used in X300.
AFAIK adding applications to support the touchpad needs just adding them to some list in registry or what. But as I said, I never cared for that. The problem that the driver resets mouse settings when using it, I find much more disturbing.

  • Mouse wheel scroll event ON CHANGE?

    Colleagues,
    Very simple question:
How to get mouse wheel scrolling event on change? Without polling?
Is Acquire Input Data.vi the only way to get it?
    Thank you in advance,
    Andrey.

    Hi Andrey,
i think it's not build in. I wrote some years ago the attched vi's, because i also miss this feature. These vi's use the "acquire input data.vi", but it only polls if a control has registered for it.
    Hope it helps.

  • Issue with Adobe Muse parallax jitters with mouse wheel scrolling vertically.

    Hi all,
I'm learning Adobe Muse for the first time to put together a wedding website (http://mattandsangeeta.businesscatalyst.com/index.html), so bear with me as I'm a novice at the software - though I do have the most up version, Adobe Muse CC 2014.
So far, it's been an excellent platform, and for the most part the site functions incredibly well. However, one key flaw I've noticed in it is the parallax scrolling speed when using a mouse.
The parallax portion of the site jitters badly, and while we've found a few improvements for the issue (the best was making sure there was nothing that had scrolling set to "0"), I'm still at a loss for how to get smooth scrolling transition speeds. Every forum Adobe has seems to be showcasing the features, and not troubleshooting this particular issue. A lot of posts are similar, but none seem to be resolved. I've noticed that other parallax pages are smoother with the mouse wheel scrolling down, so I'm hoping it's just an issue with Muse that has a setting or snippet of code that can remedy the issue.
What makes me realize it's the mouse wheel scrolling, and not the site itself, is because whenever I access the site on my surface pro tablet, the parallax runs buttery smooth with touch control or even trackpad control. Same when you click the middle scroll button and pan down. Without any mouse wheel scrolling, it looks great! But with a mouse wheel, it hiccups constantly and ruins the effect.
So, is there any way to smooth out the steps that the mouse wheel scrolling seems to be causing?
    Thanks in advance,
    Matt

Thanks for the link, however that specific thread was one of the ones I referenced in my original post.
In the beginning of the thread, it's clear that coding can fix the issue, though it's not recommended. More telling is that the response you referenced indicates that the issue is claimed to have been either fixed or mitigated In updated releases of Muse.
As you pointed out earlier, however, Firefox displays the parallax a little better than Chrome, and much better than Internet Explorer. I'm assuming that Adobe Muse Creative Cloud 2014 release attempted to this issue.
So my question kind of remains: am I missing a setting that would make the scrolling more smooth, or is it simply just a limitation of the browser / software / parallax combination?
    Thanks again for the responses.

  • Microsoft optical mice and wheel scrolling in multi-row block

    Hi.
One part of our form is a multi-row block. It has a scroll bar and upto this point you can scroll using the wheel when your mouse is on the scroll bar or if the pointer is anywhere within the multi-row block, you can use the wheel to scroll. This works for logitech ball and optical mice, ibm ball mice and even microsoft ball mice. All of them have the wheel. We do find a problem with microsoft optical mice whether its the explorer or optical brand. The wheel mouse works when the pointer is on the scroll bar but it does not scroll if the pointer is within the multi-row block. I have spoken with Oracle and of course they say its microsofts problem. Has anyone come across this? I have contacted microsoft but no word as yet.
    Thank you,
    Jayme

Forms has no support for the Wheel Scrolling action - if it works at all it's because the Mouse driver is clever enough to work out when it is on a ScrollBar and send the relevant Windows Events. You may find it also works in Multi-line text items.

  • 10g Preview: Wheel scrolling in Business Component Browser

This problem is found in the Business Component Browser, when a view object with many attributes is opened. The right-hand pane shows input fields for the view attributes.
When I scroll with the mouse wheel in this pane, each "tick" of the wheel scrolls only a few pixels, rendering the wheel essentially useless for scrolling. Since other parts of the IDE behave more normally with regard to scrolling, I'm inclined to believe this is a problem with this panel in the Business Component Browser rather than a setting on my system.

Not many -- the main requirement is that the number of attributes causes the pane to scroll vertically. This can be accomplished by sizing the main tester window small enough to make the pane scroll even with just a few attributes. Then the problem can be reproduced.

  • Wheel Scrolling and Toll Control in Camera Raw

I use the Wheel Scroll option in the main program extensively as it enables me to quickly make repeateable adjustments whilst looking at the screen. It would be a great help if this option was included in the Camera Raw program.

    >PTLens will get all the info from the EXIF data to select the right camera/lens/FL combo
The Exif data contains only the actual focal length and the maximal aperture value of the lens. These are not enough to identify the lens.
The MakerNote tag may or may not contain some more lens related information, but
    1. in most images this is not present (it is not part of the Exif tags),
    2. the structure of that data is not published,
    3. there is a DNG tag, LensInfo, Adobe's DNG converter creates this tag from the MakerNote, but it contains only the min/max focal lengths and the respective max. apertures. This is still not enough to identify the lens, apart from the fact that the max aperture values are not filled for example in case of Canon lenses and Tamron/Sigma lenses on Canon body (I can state this with certainty only re Canon 20D and 1DsMarkII). Nikon's D100 and D2X shows the max. aperture values.
    4. all this is still not enough to identify the lens.

  • In Logic X, the mouse click wheel scroll is way too fast on the arrange window and the piano roll.  Is there a way to adjust this?

In Logic X, the mouse click wheel scroll is way too fast on the arrange window and the piano roll.  Is there a way to adjust this?  This is the way I scrolled for MIDI editing on Logic 9

Hi cris2121, assuming you're using a mouse from apple, go to >System Preferences<
it's here where one can configure a mouse device.
Additionally you can also configure Scrubbing in Logic: "When in scrub mode, you can slowly move the playhead in the Tracks Window and the Audio (and optional MIDI) will be played back. The playback speed depends on how fast you move the Playhead in either direction."
    Have a nice day!

  • Fix mouse wheel scrolling in Grid view in Windows

Fix mouse wheel scrolling in Grip view in Windows so it functions more smoothely

    This is a bug.
I don't think it is rendering problem, because LR renders in background. (Though, it would be nice to have quicker rendering)
I think it is a locks in DB bottleneck when LR gets draft images from database. This code should be revised:
    - DB requests shouldn't be performed on paint thread
    - current locks should be worked out.

  • Click wheel scrolling

Why does click wheel scrolling on an iPod not allow lists - songs, artist, album, etc. - to rollover from end to beginning and vise-versa? For example, it would nice while scrolling through an alpha list of album titles, you could go from "A" items backwards through "Z" items, instead of going all the way through the alphabet from "A" to "Z". Will this ever be allowed?

Apple likes to add little annoying things so that when they release the new ipod they can solve it on purpose and people will be like YAY!! thats probably what that is

  • Wheel scrolling speed [SOLVED]

Is there any way to change mouse wheel scrolling speed in firefox? It scrolls every 3 lines by default, i would like to change to like 5-6 lines which would make wheel scrolling much faster. Is it possible?
    I'm using XFCE 4.2.1
EDIT: Ok, I solved it. To anyone interested here is the tip:
Enter about:config in the firefox address bar.
    In the filter, enter: mousewheel.withnokey
    Change mousewheel.withnokey.sysnumlines to false
Change mousewheel.withnokey.numlines to a higher number, say 5
    reload firefox
    done.

Anyone know how to fix this in a "better way", dont want to have to keep unpluggin the mouse everytime I boot.
    It also works to me!
I am using 3.11.6-1-ARCH with awesome v3.5.2 on slim 1.3.6, and i have both windows7 and Linux on my laptop.

  • How do make the mouse wheel scroll in my Flex app/component instead of the browser?

Let's say I have a DataGrid or Tree or List component which
has hundreds of rows. When I place my mouse over the component and
scroll the mouse wheel, I notice that [most of the time] it scrolls
the component a little, then starts scrolling the browser window. I
want it to only scroll the component until it reaches the end of
    the rows. Any thoughts?

I have confronted the same issue.
Was anybody able to solve it?
I think mx.contorols.TextArea seems to do well.

  • Has anybody else been seeing (Not Responding) at the top of the screen and having thier browser not respond to wheel scrolling and scrolling with the usual slider at the right part of the screen?

I have noticed my Firefox browser is having way too many incidences where it is "Not Responding". The browser freezes up for a second quite often and the "Not Responding" message will appear at the top of the screen.
The browser will also not scroll with either the scroll bar on the right nor with the mouse wheel. Both used to work in previous versions of Firefox, but it seems to have gotten worse since Firefox 5 0r 6. The same with the "Not Responding". It is happening more with Firefox 7 than in at least the past two versions.
Anybody else having these issues? Seems like they are hand-in-hand. Thanks for any and all help or advice. It's making me pretty angry since I'm online all day for work.
Just an FYI. At the bottom of my troubleshooting copy/paste is a suggestion to update the driver for my graphics. That was a no-go. I tried that.

Thank you for this first reply! I'll have to give this a try later....the main laptop I experience this on crashed not more than an hour after I posted this issue. I'm on a tiny, slow netbook that hasn't had the same problem. Now I'm wondering if I picked up a Trojan on the main laptop and the "Not Responding" message is a side effect of a virus or Trojan.
One of the system .dll files has been corrupted and I'm not being allowed to use recovery discs, previous disc images, or any recovery options. That was an all day sucker yesterday and from what I've read on forums and have researched, it appears I'm going to need to reload the operating system. If it is indeed a Trojan/virus, I'm surprised it made it through my antivirus and firewall. Anything is possible, really.
Thanks again, I'll get back with results once I get the wounded laptop back up and running.
