Jservlet samples - where?

I'm not able to find jservlet samples from the OTN OAS 4.0.8.1 distribution. According to the release notes, they're supposed to be in the .../samples/JServlets directory, which seems not to exist.
Am I missing something or what?

Error in OAS with Jservlet.

I have two problems.
I'm begin in java and i have a questions.

Version ORACLE: oracle 8i enterprise edition 8.1.5
Version OAS: Oracenterprise edition 4.0.8.1
Version JDEVELOPER: 3.0 export.
Version WinNT: NT server SP5 , IE5
the instalation of ORACLE, OAS(Enterprise), y JDEVELOPER was default.
What i do:
I publish a JAva store procedure in the database and its working.
I run applets (make in jdeveloper, infobus) and work from IIS and OAS.
I can run PLSQL toolkit and it's work.
I run de application ACME VIDEO from jdeveloper and it's work.
I publisha HelloWorld Servlet from oas.
What i cant do?
- Publish a DBservlet from oas<error1>
- deploy a Enterprise JAva BEan to Oracle 8i using iiop<error2>

Any configuration in OAS?
init.ora is ok?
patch jdeveloper?
patch oas?
other configuration?
How i confirm to JSERVER is correctly install?
How i test iiop conection? listener?

If yes then go
$ORACLE_HOME\forms\j2ee\orion-web.xml
Check for the line
<context-param-mapping name="configFileName">
/oraApps/oraclebi/forms/server/formsweb.cfg
</context-param-mapping>
(/oraApps/oraclebi/ is the value for my ORACLE_HOME.)
Make sure that the configFileName is pointing to a valid file (formsweb.cfg by default) and that the directory path is correct.

This reminds me of a great story. It's so good, it probably didn't really happen, but it's so good, I'm going to repeat it anyway.
IBM once had an "executive apptitude test" that they would give to job applicants. There were some questions you might call general knowlege or trivia questions, and each question had a weight (for example, answering an unimportant queestion might score one point, an important question might be 5 points.) One of the questions was "What is the standard width of a mobile home?", and the weight of the question was -20: answering the question correctly did serious harm to your score. The reasoning was that the more you knew about mobile homes, the less likely you were to be their kind of executive.
Now, as to your question, the correct answer is: I don't know. I don't want to know. Mixing ANDs and ORs without grouping them in parentheses is a really bad idea. Even if you get it right, it's going to confuse the next person who has to look at that code. Use parentheses to make sure the code is doing what you want it to do.
If you really want to find out, it's documented in the SQL language manual. Look up "Operators, prcedence"

How handle a date comparision in where clause without trunc. Rightnow I am using it with 'trunc', it is very slow..

Here's one way:
SELECT ColumnA, ColumnB

WHERE      created_date     >= TO_DATE ('15-NOV-2011', 'DD-MON-YYYY')
AND     created_date     < TO_DATE ('15-NOV-2011', 'DD-MON-YYYY') + 1
;If you have an index on created_date. then this query will be able to use that index, because created_date is alone on one side of the operator.
Another reason why this will be faster is that it only has to call TO_DATE twice, regardless of how many rows are in the table. The original query had to call TRUNC for every row.
Don't compare a DATE (such as the results of TRUNC) to a string (such as '15-NOV-2011'). You're liable to get a run-time error, or, if youre not so lucky, unexpected results.

Corrupted Search For Samples and Hidden Garage Band Samples

in logic if you go to garage band instruments, strings and select basses staccato, it searches for the wrong samples for the instrument. how do i clear what ever searches for exs and garage band samples in logc? also those physical samples used in those garage band instruments are named for example
KBstac_downbow_fA#1.wav if you search your hard drive it will not find those samples. where do they reside? are they hidden and why?
so its a 2 part question. how do i reset searching for samples. i ran onyx on spotlight but i don't think logic uses spotlight to search for samples.

ok i found out that you have to modify search function to find those garage band samples. the problem i'm having still is there are some garage band instruments that are referencing wrong samples. how do i reset search function

Sampled Sounds "Not Found" After Move to New MacBook Pro

Hello All,
    I moved my Logic 9.7.1 from my old MacBook Pro to my new one via Migration assistant; both are running Lion. A smooth transition in all programs with all files showing in the same folders on both. I key in both my Logic 8 and Logic 9 serial numbers.
   The problem is when I use certain software instrument patches on my new Mac and I get a prompt saying the audio file can't be found. I click the "search again" tab and keep getting the same meaasage. My only option is to click "continue" the channel strip loads but there is no audio. This seems to be totally random; most sounds load but i would say about 10% don't.
    I go to Library>application support>logic>sampler Instruments> and the files are there! I manually place a copy in my project inside the sampler instruments folder but it still does not see it. I notice that it does not make a folder for it in the samples folder of my project. All the sounds that work have a folder in the samples folder.
   It's frustrating. I can see the file but Logic can't find it...........What shall I do?

I found I had the same problem going from a 2006 iMac to a new Mac Mini (I had used Migration Assistant and pulled all the files from a Time Machine backup - this was Mo/Tu this week).
I went back to the old iMac and found the bulk of missing samples in (something like) Library>application support>Garageband>...Sampler?Samples? (I will check the details and be more specific later today (currently on a work's Mac with no iLife). Anyhow, the key thing is 13+gigs of samples where held under that folder structure & not under Logic. I checked this am and everything is now working fine (the first time I changed patches on the ESX24 there was a 2 mins or so delay (spinning beachball etc) however it then popped up fine & after that switches patches with no extended pause)

Where clause requiring user input

I am a complete beginner at using SQL for Oracle.
I am using a program called Toad for Oracle to try and help;
See I am used to using the very simple Microsoft Query to build queries.
I am using Excel to use these queries for a bunch of reports, graphs and charts.
However, when I try and use Microsoft Query to build these queries I get a bunch of errors. Biggest one I can't get past is ORA-00972: identifier is too long.
Anyway, so I start trying to build my query in Toad for Oracle.
Is there a way like there is in Microsoft Query to write the Where Clause for user input.
Example:
MICROSOFT QUERY sample: Where A_COMPL_SUMMARY.ENTRY_DATE>= ?)
And (A_COMPL_SUMMARY.ENTRY_DATE<= ?)
And (A_COMPL_SUMMARY.ENTRY_DATE>=[Date1] And A_COMPL_SUMMARY.ENTRY_DATE<=[Date2])
Something like that.
Basically I'm wanting at this point of the query for excel to pop up a window for user to input what dates they want
So is there a way to do this in SQL. I can't seem to write it the "correct way". It doesn't like the ?'s or the "[ ]"'s

When I try and copy/paste the SQL that I generated in Toad into Excel's query tool, 1st it tells me it can't be represented graphically. I select OK and then it gives me the "Microsoft Query has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." my only options at this point are to Debug, Send Error Report, or Don't Send.
Maybe I'm going about this the wrong way. But I need to run this Sql in Excel so I can get the graphs and charts from the data it executes.

Unfortunately, we offer no such installer package. The closest thing to
what you desire is the LabVIEW Device Drivers CD which comes with
LabVIEW. It will install all hardware drivers. Another option would be
to write a batch file to run the installers in silent mode. Searching
ni.com for "silent install" should yeild several results for installing
our software products and device drivers without user interaction.

Install Question on Pro 8 Regarding Samples

I'm in the middle as I type this of installing Logic 8. I notice it is "installing EXS Sample" where it is installing everything else...on my startup drive. When this is all finished, I'd like to take all the samples and move them over to another drive...will that be OK and how do I tell Logic where I moved them?

Jon - why would you do that? The audio (samples) are the ones that need to be moved.
Ocean - keep the sampler instruments (anything ending in .exs) where it was (application support), then put the actual samples (wav, aif etc files) on the second drive.
That should work. Also in EXS preferences make sure it is checking 'all drives' for samples.

which loadjava capture I have done those, but the point of my

Excise Posting in Mvt Type Sample Withdrawl

1) client is manufacturing goods in batches.
2) They keep sample for testing from each batch, Since it is finish goods and consider as exciseable material.
3) Every sample are posted through Mvt Type 333 to Consumption account.
3) Actual requiremnt is create new Mvt Type for the Sample withdrawl, For which two accounting posting done in the system.
One for the material and
second for the Excisable document.
I have copied Mvt Type 333 and created new Mvt Type 733.
At where i can do customizing for the Excise posting.

As I believe youu2019re mentioned about finished goods and 1st decide, when excise going to be applicable:
Once finished goods manufactured in the factory
OR
Once finished goods goes out from factory premises.
If excise applicable for finished goods when goes out from factory premises, then no need to worry ,just after production you can take sampling where you will have two accounting enter which reduces from inventory stock of finished goods by debiting G/L account of sampling.
If excise applicable for finished goods when just finished manufacturing in the factory, then you need to find how to do it , which & when register (RG1) to update with which movement type and then think about sampling.
But if for sampling excises need to be updated, then movement type must be added to update excises.
NOTE:
Movement types specified relating to goods receipts involve excise invoices & which excises register need to be updated in the following path
SPRO ---> Logistics general -> tax on Goods Movements-> India -> Business Transactions-> Specify Which Movement Types Involve Excise Invoices

Sample for OCI?

I have read the document of OCI.It says some samples can be found in "ORACLE_BASE\ORACLE_HOME\oci\samples" subdirectory.But I didn't find this directory and there are only "ORACLE_HOME\oci\lib" and "ORACLE_HOME\oci\include".
The instant client installation also have nothing about samples.Where can I find some?

The only samples included with Instant Client are in "sdk/demo" in the SDK package.
More samples are on the "Companion CD" that can be downloaded from Oracle.
If you don't want to install the whole CD, you can extract the samples from this file:

Calculating Life to date values

Hi there,
the users are looking to get life to data values for service order. We can do this in the query (on the front end) but the performance takes a big hit due to the volume of records that are retrieved. So we are looking to build this calculation on the backend. Has anyone here done something similar and could share their experience on this? To repeat, the users would like to see the life-to-date value and this will contain any amounts that have been posted to this object. I was thinking about using a standard dso for this solution and use the amounts related cubes as source for this dso. The key figures (or data fields) in the dso would be incremented from the delta loads from the underlying cubes.

If this is the issue then you can put a condition on cost& Key figure to be not equal to zero.It would solve the issue.
I would request you to provide us the sample output with both the correct and incorrect orders so that we can further understand the issue.

How to get multiple values from the db using select

i created a procedure

when i executed this procedure the following error occurred.
error at line 5 fetching too many rows.
but when i execute the select query alone i can able to view all the rows.
