Jsfl to select all fills or lines on screen

Hello All,
Does anyone know the syntax to select all the fills on the
screen? I need to take all the fills on the screen and convert them
to a movieclip, then take all the lines and convert them to another
movieclip.
I will then be giving them all instance names and then
repeating the process about 6000 times, hence the need for a
command to speed the process. I have the instance name and convert
to movieclip functionality working, I just need the code to select
fills and lined individually.
Thanks,
Nomadic Design

I've never had that happen on my MBairs.  If it's new I'd take it back or call applecare since it's under warranty.

  • Using Select all to create multiple lines in a sales order

    Hello SAP experts,
    In our business practice users create multiple line sales orders with reference to contracts and use the copy paste method and then assign each line to the contract manually.
    After a few years of this practice i found a new way to create multiple lines but it doesn't quite work correctly. When you have created the first line of an order if you click on the select all button the system will ask you how many lines do you want to copy. I don't know if this is standard SAP but 3 things don't happen when we use this 1) The schedule line information is blank 2) conditions do not copy from the contract even though the contract has been referenced. 3) Since there is no schedule line information the order fails when saving and we get a update terminated message.
    I am having problems finding any documentation around this function so any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

  • (PS CS3) Selecting all text to change fill color?

    I have a graphic with text - the text was not inserted by Photoshop, and it's not selectable as text; it's just part of the graphic.  I'd like to change the color of the text.
    I can select each letter and individual block of punctuation, etc. by using the Magic Wand and Shift+Click on each item.  Is there a way, though, to simply select all of the text - or at least one complete line - with one or two moves or commands, vice the tediousness of clicking in each letter, comma, i dot, and so forth?
    Ed

    Given that the text is uniformly colored against a colorless background, a VERY easy shortcut can be to just use Image - Adjust - Hue/Saturation, pick a color, then change the Hue slider.
    Literally only a few seconds work...

  • Selecting All Dashed Lines

    Greetings all,
    I am using Illustrator CS3 for Mac and was wondering if there is there a way to select all dashed lines within a given Illustrator project? I can't use Select->Same->Stroke Color or Select->Same->Stroke Weight because there are other lines that share these same attributes that I don't want to select. Any and all help is much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

    Best way is to go to

  • Using Paint Bucket Fill in Selection puts a 1px line down each side...

    I want to fill a selection.  I have a simple rectangle path.  I make the path a selection and fill it with the paint bucket.  I get a line on the left outside the selection:
    Then I get a line on the right inside the selection:
    There's no line at the top and the bottom of the fill is at the bottom of the image.
    This line is only 1px but it's for a web graphic and I am trying to get a pixel-perfect size.
    Can anyone tell me why the behaviour and how to avoid it?
    Thanks
    Martin

    Refine Edges box did it for me!
    I didn't even know about that.  When I had a look it was set to 0% contrast and pushing that up to 100% sorted out the probem for me.
    Thank you very much.

  • Shortcuts - Fill / Select all

    Shortcuts - Fill and Select all are not working. I have reinstalled photoshop, deleted my short cut preferences and tried renaming the shortcuts.
    When I try to use the fill short cut (shift +f5) it tells me GROW is not available. Currently GROW does not have any short cut keys assigned.

    Can anyone help?

    The issue has happened again. The fill short is not working and replaced with some other random shortcut. I also tried the reset ps settings. I think adobe needs a patch for yosemite.

  • Selecting all "similar" text - is it possible?

    I have a feeling this isn't possible but i thought best go ahead and ask anyway...
    I have converted a document from Quark (gasp!) to InDesign. All has gone well except the leading is a bit too close. The character styles haven't been correctly brought through from Quark so it's not simply a case of changing those, and i was thinking, you know the way in Illustrator for example you can select all items with the same colour stroke or fill and then change all accordingly, is there a way of selecting all the text with the same properties or am i going to have to go through every little text box in this 800 page document and change all the leading one by one?!
    Using mac 0s x 10, InDesign CS3

    You should have used Paragraph Styles instead of character styles.
    Use a Paragraph Style for whole paragraphs of text (even if one line) and use Character styles to give attributes to single characters/word(s) withing a paragraph.
    With everything having Paragraph Styles you can have Space Above and Space Below attributes for the paragraphs.
    If you want to give everything Paragraph styles, then select a paragraph and make a new paragraph style.
    Search for your Body character style and replace it with your Pargraph style.

  • "Select All" in tableview does not trigger event?

    Hi,
    I have a MULTISELECT table, and whenever I use the "Select all" or "Deselect all" feature, I don't seem to be able to capture the resulting event... Whenever I select one line, there's always a "tableView" event being triggered, allowing me to run the following code to recover the selected entries:
    me->check_groups = table_event->GET_ROWS_SELECTED(
    includeCurrentSelectedRow = 'X' ).
    However, when I select all entries, there's not even an event being generated:
    event = CL_HTMLB_MANAGER=>get_event( request ).
    if event is not initial...
    endif.
    The above code fails; no event seem to be generated!!
    Have I missed out on something; or is this a bug...? I would assume the built-in "select all" would trigger some kind of event... or do we have to check/program this manually?
    Trond

    hi trond,
    what i know is that for catching <b>request</b> u have to use <b>runtime</b> object.
    so u may try this:
    event = CL_HTMLB_MANAGER=>get_event( <b>runtime->server-></b>request ).
    might be possible it will solve your problem.

  • Workaround for JSFL shape selection bug?

    There seems to be a bug in the document selection reporting in JSFL in  CS4 (haven't tested earlier versions).  I submitted it as a bug to Adobe  but I'd really like to find a workaround for it.  I've included my bug  report below.  Has anyone else encountered this?  If so, have you  figured out a workaround?  It's pretty annoying, making the tool I'm  working on really difficult to manage.
    ******BUG******
    After performing a publish preview, fl.getDocumentDOM().selection  reports an incorrect selection of raw shapes.
    Steps to reproduce bug:
    1. Create a JSFL command with the following contents:
    doc = fl.getDocumentDOM();
    fl.trace("there are " + doc.selection.length + " items selected");
    2. Start the authoring environment fresh, with a new document.
    3. Draw several shapes on the stage, not touching each other, all in  the same frame and layer.
    4. Select one of those shapes but leave the others unselected.
    5. Run the previously created JSFL command.  It will send the following  text to the output panel, as one would expect:
    "there are 1 items selected"
    6. Do a publish preview (either Flash or HTML).
    7. When it comes up, close the preview window.
    8. Deselect all and then select one of the shapes (again, keeping the  others unselected).
    9. Run the JSFL command again.  This time, it will say that there are n  items selected (where n is the number of shapes you drew in step 3).   So if you drew three shapes, it will print out the following:
    there are 3 items selected
    Note that this result will be the same even if you go to a different  document, do a publish preview on that document, then return to the  original.  It seems that simply doing a publish preview alters Flash's  state to report the selection incorrectly.
    Results: The JSFL command reports that all the shapes are selected,  despite the fact that only one of them is.  The only way I've found to  get Flash back to its normal behavior is to restart the authoring  environment.
    Expected results: In the steps above, the JSFL command should always  print out that there is one element selected.  There's no reason that  doing a publish preview should change that.

    When selected all shapes in selection are treated as one. You can see it if you run this script with selected multiple shapes:
    fl.trace( fl.getDocumentDOM().selection[0].contours.length );
    It will output you twise bigger number then selected shapes (because each Shape has two contours - one clockwise, other counterclockwise).
    Of course this. implementation is strange for me too. Thats how i found your post

  • SSRS report parameter left blank to select all

    Hello,
    Before posting this question I have looked at related topics and couldn't find a clear answer!
    Question: Is there a workaround for a parameter to select all if blank?
    I have a report that has a multivalue parameter, my user is asking if there is a way to have an empty parameter box that will default to selet all, so if the user does not fill parameter and clicks on view report it should work.
    I have tried:
    SELECT Item FROM ItemTable
    UNION ALL
    SELECT '' AS Expr1 ORDER
    BY Item
    Then checked Allow Blank Value ''
    and checked Allow Null Values
    and did the change in my query. The problem here is that the parameter will have null check box which the user does not want see?
    Thanks

    Hi There
    Thanks for yourposting. I think you do not need to click on checkbox allow null value, just check allow blank value and change in your dataset query like this.
    Please change the query but the synxtax might look like this
    if @commenttype=''
    select * from Comment_Type
    else
    select * from Comment_Type
    where
    Comment_Type=@commenttype
    if @commenttype=''
    select * from Comment_Type
    else
    select * from Comment_Type
    where
    Comment_Type=@commenttype
    By default your parameter is blank and you display all records, but when user type something it will filter the datset based on the user input
    I am putting some screenshot for your help.
    If you have any questions pelase let me know
    Many Thanks

  • Can't delete previous unread messages in hub pinch view via select previous (hold date line)

    Happily running OS 10.2.1.2141 on my Z10 (STL100-3). I was thrilled to see the hub's Pinch Selection Criteria option in 10.2.1 but did not have the occasion to try it. Then this weekend, my mailbox got flooded with email notices from our alert system and I was facing having to delete hundreds of emails the old tedious way, multi-select each email one at a time and hit the delete option.  Well, that's when I tried to use the hub's new pinch selection option to "hide" my read messages. I then held the date line to select all the previous messages and hit the delete option which asked my if a really wanted to delete those messages. I confirmed by choice and poof! nothing happened. I tried several times to no avail, even trying with flagged messages. It looks like you can't delete messages while in Pinch Selection view if you select them via the Select previous (hold date line) method. It does work if you select/multi-select the messages manualy but what's the point then?....
    So, unless i'm doing it wrong, this appears to be a bug.
    Regards,
    Francis.....

     that should be the point of the pinch selection criteria and you're select by sender.... let's see if anyone can reproduce the "bug" on their handsets or better yet, BlackBerry confirms it's a bug or poor design......
    when I pinch and hold a date bar, I get the trash can... do you not?
    fpaquin wrote:
    Yup, that's the tedious way I've always used, ok for a few emails, unacceptable for hundreds of emails.....
    Oh, yea for hundreds. Do you get hundreds each day you need to delete?
    Once you get caught up on your deleting, then your daily upkeep should be a reasonable low effort.
    Anyways, that's how it works.
    If you feel it is an OS issue... what OS are you on?
