JSP ALERT PROMPT CONFIRM

I am displaying a tomcat hosted jsp page in WebView, JAVAFX 2.2.
Most everything works as expected, but javascript alert() & prompt() boxes do not display.
Is this expected behavior ?
I'm guessing I have to replace that code in the jsp pages based on other threads here about making your own alert prompt dialog.
But if I don't hav access to the jsp source what do I do ?
Modify the page after it's loaded and replace js calls to alert & prompt ?
If true what other standard js calls have to be replaced ?

Right. alert/confirm/prompt are passed to callbacks registered with WebEngine. The reason is that applications may want to handle these calls in different ways: display a dialog box, an overlay sheet, print a console message etc -- so WebEngine delegates the task to client code. However, we should probably add a default implementation for these callbacks once the Alert class is ready.

    This issue won't occur when using adl for debugging, but after building the package and install, even an one-alert application will have this issue.
    I accidentally tested another app (3.1) I wrote a long time ago, and found the same thing...
    After showing an alert or confirm message, don't click OK or Cancel, after several seconds, click the application window, and it will become unresponsive and sometimes it will turn white.
    This issue happens on several PCs tested, could any one help?

    Thank you for the heads up.  Is this new behavior for the 3.6 release?  Do you know if it occurs on both Mac and Win?  Any particular operating systems?  If possible, I'd like to get a copy of one of your built applications to try this out.   Please open a new bug at bugbase.adobe.com and include a copy of your application and sample source code.  If you'd like to keep the code private, feel free to email it directly to [email protected]  Once the bug has been added, let me know the bug number and I'll follow up internally.

    Pre-Paid marketing offers with a separate opt out
    Mandatory global roaming alerts
    MessageBank notifications
    Occasional Telstra service messages
    If you opt out of Pre-Paid SMS alerts and confirmations, you can still check your balance and expiry dates using your device or online. Find out more about Managing your Pre-Paid service.

    I am in Malaysia with Telstra Long Life so I can receive my banking secure code when necessary from St George. However, it never arrives in time, if at all. So basically the service is useless for me and I have wasted $80. What can be going wrong and how can i ensure I receive a bank secure code sms in time that I can use it before the banking website cuts it off?
    I also cannot see on the My account page where I can get the online help. I think this should always be in the bottom corner of the page as I have spent ages looking for it - depending where you are on Telstra's site, sometimes it is there and sometimes not. VERY confusing.

  • Alert popup confirmation BADI

    Hi guys I'm very new to ABAP and BADIs. We created a BPM session in SolMan and created alerts. The problem now is that we want to send sms alerts but we want a compact version of the alert where we only get the date, the time, the job name and the error.
    We also want to setup a e-mail alert the same way. Is it also possible to setup a email popup confirmation where you have to type in what you did when you click 'confirm' on the alert..
    Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.
    Regards
    Vincent

    Hi Volker
    The problem I'm having with the sms notifications is that the sms are limited to 300bytes or 160 characters. Now I need the notification to be formatted in such a way that it can fit into the sms. So i figured if i put the Alert rating and the time stamp as the sms subject, and then put the alert message as  the body of the sms it would fit.. But now I'm stuck as to how I'm gonna get that done..
    Any help would be greatly appreciated..

    Hello,
    We are on crm2007 and have new SP for BBPCRM SAPKU60007.
    Now I can't see the alerts I've defined long ago.
    I made an alert that congratulate the user entred with "Good Morning" and policy rule that triggered this alert
    on BPConfirmed.
    We do not see any more the alert. I tried to enter the rule and change something - NOTHING Changed.
    Any idea? something has to be activated?

    Hi Sara,
    I dont think so something needs to be activated for triggering alerts in web UI.

  • Business Process Monitoring: restrict authorization to confirm alerts

    Hello Experts,
    I am working with Solution Manager's Business Process Monitoring and I am now facing these questions regarding roles and authorizations to allow/forbid alert confirmation:
    - What is the authorization mechanism behind alert confirmation in BPM? Is a specific authorization object involved when pressing the button "Confirm selected"?
    - Is it possible to adjust roles (if no standard role is available) in order to have, for example,
    --Role1: give users the authorizations to walk through DSWP transaction, see business processes' alerts and confirm them
    --Role2: give users the authorizations to walk through DSWP transaction, see business processes' alerts but NOT allow them to confirm any alert?
    Our Solution Manager version:
    SAP EHP 1 for SAP Solution Manager 7.0 (SP22)
    ST-PI 2008_1_700 level2
    ST-SER 701_2008_2 level 6
    ST-A/PI 01M_CRM570
    I hope I managed to explain my doubts properly; any help will be very appreciated.
    Thanks in advance for your support,
    best regards
    Paolo

    Hello Paolo,
    it is the first time that I hear that request. Can you explain what your use case is? Why would you allow some users to see and analyze alerts but do not let them confirm the alerts if the problem is solved?
    As the user/date/time is logged if somebody confirms you have the transaparency who confirmed which alert at what point of time.
    I think that currently no such split in authorizations is supported but perhaps you can find something in the securtiy guide.
    Best Regards

  • BPM: Confirming alerts doesn't refresh alert status

    Hi Colleagues,
    Have anyone dealt with refreshing problems in Solman's BPM?
    If I have a red alert and process it, I proceed to confirm the alert.
    In this node, status is changed to green (some cases into grey).
    If I get back to the first screen in the BPM, process is still in red leading to confusion to our local monitoring team. It doesn´t matter that no other alerts are current unconfirmed.
    You can refresh as many times you want, system remains in red.
    I have a message in support but response process is really slow.
    They just recomended to apply latest version of note 0001255970 but no effects were observed.
    We are in ST 400 SP 17.
    Thanks,
    Renato Petrulis

    Just as feedback from SAP Support, it´s not an error:
    (...) Let me explain the difference between Current Status and Open Alerts a
    little more:
    Every MTE (MTE: Monitoring Tree Element. It is the actual measurement that you are interested in. For example, BDocs con ErrorBDocs con Error defined in component BDocs con Error is an MTE) has configurable thresholds. The thresholds define the values which, when exceeded, create an alert instance. Both yellow and red thresholds can be defined. The alert instance records the time at which the threshold was exceeded,and also have a corresponding status i.e. if the red threshold is
    exceeded, a red alert instance is created. When you hit the 'Confirm' button, you are actually clearing the alert instances.
    Whereas, in the Current Status view, you actually see the current value of the MTE, which can be red or yellow or green irrespective of what hadhappened in the past.
    Therefore, the expected behaviour is that when all the alerts are confirmed, the MTE shows green in the Open Alerts view. But the Current Status view continues to show the actual current status, which may be red or yellow or green. Therefore the DSWP transaction is actually working as expected.

  • JSP Form with Formatted Confirmation Page

    I have a basic form, and I would like to have a confirmation page pop-up when the user clicks that they are done. The confirmation page needs to have considerable formatting on it, and include the data the user inputted on the form. It also needs to have a "Continue", "Go Back" and "Print" buttons. Continue will tell the form to proceed with submitting the form to the servlet, Go Back will put the user back on the form, Print will bring up another JSP with the form data in printable format with print/email options. Upon exit from the print page they will be back on the Confirmation Page.
    The code below will allow for an OK, and Cancel button in the standard Message box, but this won't work.
    I am assuming I need to create another jsp for the confirmation page. But i am stuck on two issues. How can i ...
    1) Get the data onto the confirmation page from the form?
    2) How can I pass back to the initial form the value of what the user selected (Continue or Go Back) so i know whether to proceed with submitting the form, or staying put.
    Thanks for any help! I am very new to jsp programming.
    <FORM
    ACTION="http://www.mcfedries.com/scripts/formtest.asp"
    METHOD="POST"
    NAME="Monikers"
    onSubmit="return validate(Monikers)">
    Here's the JavaScript for this function:
    <SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript">
    <!--
    function validate(frm) {
    // Build the form data
    var formData
    formData = "First Name: " + frm.First.value + "\n"
    formData = formData + "Last Name: " + frm.Last.value + "\n"
    formData = formData + "Nickname: " + frm.Nick.value + "\n"
    formData = formData + "Stage Name: " + frm.Stage.value + "\n"
    // Show the data to the user
    return confirm("Here is the form data you entered:" + "\n\n"
    + formData + "\n"
    + "Do you want to submit this data?")
    //-->
    </SCRIPT>

    Does the problem persist if you upload All Files (and not just modified). Do you continue to receive the message even if you choose "After Sending: Stay on Current Page" option? If yes, a site URL would help in identifying the issue.
    Also try inserting a fresh form on a page/new Muse site and see if you're able to replicate the behaviour on different browsers.
    Thanks,

  • How to confirm the alerts automatically in the internet mail?

    Hi,gurus:
         I wanna know how  I confirm the alerts automatically in the internet mail.Now we have to navigate to the alert inbox to confirm the alert,but can I do it in the internet mail? I have confirued the parameter in ALRTCATDEF->CONFIGURE->SETTING->INBOUND PROCESSING,but it didn't work.
    Thanks in advance.

    hi,
    I checked the library,and it says:
    Confirming Alerts by Internet Mail
    When an alert is sent by Internet mail, the Internet address of the alert user entered in alert configuration is entered as the Reply To address of the mail. An alert ID is inserted into the text of the mail. When the recipient answers the mail from the alert system, the alert is confirmed automatically. Inbound processing sends a status mail to the sender stating either that the alert has been confirmed successfully, or that an error has occurred. The alert ID must be included in the body of the reply mail.
    My question is: How to reply the mail?Where do I write the the alert ID?any ideas?

  • BPMon - Confirming alerts in managed system (SPS23)

    does anyone have experience of implementing BADI_BPMON_ALERT_CONFIRMATIO to have the alerts in managed system confirmed when the Solman alerts are confirmed?

    Hi Pam,
      To answer the first part of your question:
    1) Use the report CRM_RULE_TRANS to transport rules from one system to another.
    2) I havent used much of the alert functionality in terms of changing the look and feel but will get back to you soon.

  • Javascript alert wiping page clean - HELP

    Hi - I am using the javascript alert function in order to tell a user that information entered on a form is incorrect - however, the alert makes the page go away when all I want is to return to that page so the user can correct just that piece of information and resubmit it
    Anyone have any ideas on this? I'm scratching my head over this!!
    Thanks!
    Beth

    Hi Savitha,
    Yes, you are right, there is difference between alert and confirm. I will pose a small example, I have a page where the user / client must(!!!) enter his name, otherwise I don't allow him to go further (to my next page). Here in Javascript I will check for the name field,
    if(confirm(document.myform.field_name.value)) {
    //submit the form
    }. Here user didn't enter anything and clicks on 'OK' in confirm dialog, then I am forced to take him to the next page. So, I don't want to provide that chance to the user and decide it programatically, but prompt the user to enter the name with an alert dialog.
    Hope I am clear.
    PS:-
    I have shown a sample statement in the form of document.myform.field_name.length==0;
    'You can do all your validations there', is what my point here.

  • Confirmation Message (apex.confirm) Does Not Display

    I am trying to use the version of apex.confirm that also sets the value of a page item. The APEX documentation provides this as an example of the correct syntax (cut and pasted from manual):
    apex.confirm("Save Department?", {
      request:"SAVE",
      set:{"P1_DEPTNO":10, "P1_EMPNO":5433}
      });I am trying to do the same thing in my code but, the confirmation is just not displaying:
    var hasUnsavedChanges = $v( 'P35_CHANGES_MADE' );
    if ( hasUnsavedChanges == 'TRUE' )
    alert('prompting')
       apex.confirm("You Have Unsaved Changes that Will Be Lost. Continue Anyway?", {
          request:"GOTOMARGCONFIRM",
          set:{"P35_CHANGES_MADE":FALSE}
    alert('prompted')
    else
    alert('submitting')
       apex.submit('GOTOMARGCONFIRM');
    };It never displays the "prompted" alert although the "prompting" one does display. I just can not spot any difference between the syntax I am using and the syntax provided by Oracle. I am only setting the value of the one item, P35_CHANGES_MADE.
    Can anyone help. BTW, just using the regular version of apex.confirm, i.e.
    apex.confirm("You Have Unsaved Changes that Will Be Lost. Continue Anyway?", "GOTOMARGCONFIRM");works fine.
    -Joe

    When the value of the item is not a number put the value within quotes.
    apex.confirm("You Have Unsaved Changes that Will Be Lost. Continue Anyway?", {
          request:"GOTOMARGCONFIRM",
          set:{"P35_CHANGES_MADE":"FALSE"}
       });

  • Getting compilation errors in seeded jsps in R12

    Hi,
    We already had iStore 11i implemented since 8 years.
    Now we are implementing iStore R12.
    We have a custom jsp 'xxibeCCkpExpCheckout.jsp' in 11i, which we are migrating to R12.
    However in R12 we are getting following compilation errors in this jsp:
    ibeCCkpBHdrShipIncl.jsp:
    Error(841,1): PrintWriter not found
    Error(841,1): Writer not found
    ibeCCkpValBillPay.jsp
    Error(40,2): field optNewCreditCard not found

    Error(54,2): identifier errMap not found
    Error(64,2): identifier errMap not found
    Error(73,2): field errMap not found
    Please note that above seeded jsps are included in the custom jsp.
    Since the errors are coming through seeded jsps, we are not sure how to fix them.
    Any prompt help/suggestion in this regard is appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hello,
    Please review your custom jsp and note that the following are obsoleted packages for Release 12 -
    ibeCCkpCHdrShipIncl.jsp, ibeCCkpHdrShip.jsp, ibeCCkpHdrBillPay.jsp
    Confirm the ibeCCkpBHdrShipIncl.jsp is Release 12.1 version (ie version 120.6).
    Also, there are changes in ibeCCkpValBillPay.jsp for Release 12 as compared to 11i. Confirm your ibeCCkpValBillPay.jsp is Release 12.1 version (ie version 120.1.12010000.2 or higher).
    Confirm no errors for manual compile of the seeded jsp's and Confirm datestamp is current for class files in $COMMON_TOP/_pages

  • How can I shut off software update prompts

    Hello,
    We use iPads - mostly 2nd gens - at some customer sites for tracking times. The devices are in kiosk cases, locked down, no access to the Home button, gestures shut off, etc, etc. Essentially, once on the screen we wanted displayed, there is no option for the average user to get to the homescreen or to perform an update.
    However, recently with the release of iOS 7 we had a couple folks at these customer sites call us indicating that an end user had started the upgrade process to iOS7. We'd previously heard of this happening last year as well after iOS6 was released. but with the devices located remotely, we coudn't determine what exactly took place with absolute certainty.
    According to ALL the forums posts I've read, there is abosutely no way that an iPad simply updates/upgrades itself - even to just DL'ing the new file - it requires a user to indicate that it should do so.  But we were being told that the iPad prompted them to do so...even though all the forums said that the devices don't prompt.
    I've been an iOS user for about 3 years now, and hadn't previously seen a prompt to update iOS...until I turned on one of our local iPads today for some testing...and was greated by an onscreen Alert/prompt for 7.0.2.
    See this image:
    So the question I have is - is there a way for me to shut this off? We've already reviewed the Notifications settings - all of which are off.
    This seems to be more of a base-OS level notification. The problem is that this prompts up on the screen in the middle of our own desired screen, and allows an end-user to selecte "Details" and then start the installation process for the update, completely by-passing all efforts and steps to prevent the very thing from happening.
    If anyone knows how to shut this off, I'd love to know.
    Thanks.

    It would appear that my .png image is broken. I'll attempt another screen shot at some point - when I get prompted again.
    But I'm absolutely stunned that not one other person has made comment on this. Is NO one else out there experiencing problems of the nature we are? No one else is being prompted for iOS updates that they'd prefer not to get??
