Jsp page shows old information

Hi, does anyone knows what is the proplem?
          I have a jsp page that reads data from database and some how it shows me old date information, and after refreshing the page it shows new modified date, allthought I have cleared temporary from browser ???
          thanks

That is not a webpage, the JSP is most likely used as a Plain Old Xml (POX) transaction page. So it acts as a sort of webservice.
Suppse a jsp page
is it code in jspBit of a nobrainer, wouldn't you think? It would be hardly of any use if that XML was static content.

  • [Devices Page] Show more information for the offline devices

    Spotify should show more information for the offline devices that are under a user's account. The main reason I ask is because I have noticed on numerous occasuions that multiple devices in the list show the exact same name.
    An example in the screenshot below:
    It would be great if each device had more information e.g MAC address, last IP access, computer name and so forth.

    Updated: 2015-07-28
    Marked as new idea and edited the title slightly to make it easier to find via search. ;)
    You might also want to add your kudos to a similar idea about the ability to name offline devices here.

  • Widget "My iTunes" shows old information

    According to Apple, the *My iTunes Purchases* widget displays "the most recent music, music videos, TV shows, and movies you’ve purchased from the iTunes Store."
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/myitunes/
    Somehow, this is not the case when used on my MobileMe site. While my music listing looks OK, the listing of my TV shows purchased is horribly out of date.
    I can't tell if this is a bug, or if there's a setting I missed somewhere, or if somehow this widget isn't fully grabbing my iTunes Store info for some reason?

    Crickets and tumbleweeds, as always...

  • Firefox pulls up a cached version of my homepage (a cyclone warning/tracking page) showing me old information. Now I have surprise damage from a storm I should have known about, how do I get it to not cache this page?

    I set my homepage to the Navy Research Labs tropical cyclone warning page so I can be sure to see developing storms every time I start my browser, but now it simply caches a version of the page. The cached page that shows old information, defeating my purpose. How can I get firefox not to display a the cached version of this page by default? (Yes, obviously I already know I can refresh the page each time. That is NOT my question)

    If you leave tabs open to have them displayed automatically on the next start then you need to clear the browser cache when you close Firefox to prevent showing a cached version.

  • Redirection to JSP page from Applet not working...

    Hello,
    I have some JSP pages that obtain information and set session variables. Once they have gotten the information, they call an applet to perform some processing, then the applet redirects back to the calling page. My problem is that when the applet redirects using
    getAppletContext().showDocument(reportJspUrl, "_self");
    it seems to be unable to see the session variables that I set in the beginning - consequently I am getting a faulty session timeout error. Has anyone seen this problem? I don't understand why it is happening. It seems that when the applet causes the page to be shown, the page should be able to see the session since it is in the same browser, even in the same frame of the browser.
    Thank you for your help in advance.
    Ali

    Have you tried getting the session in the jsp with req.getSession(false) and confirming that the session returned is not null.

  • Capturing the output of a JSP page as HTML

    Hi,
    Can anyone tell me if this is possible. I have a JSP page that contains
    information about an order that was just entered (Essentially a
    confirmation page). What I want to do is somehow intercept the output
    stream inside the JSP page and write it to a file, as plain html, which
    I
    will later attach to an email and send to someone.
    Thanks,

    You won't be able to "intercept" the output since it is the JSP page itself that is doing the writing.
    Will the file that you write the output to reside on the client side or the server side? It sounds like you want to receive the HTML output not as something to view on the browser, but a file you can save and send and use later. If this is the case, one technique that might work is to take advantage of the servlet name mapping feature that is available for registered JSP pages.
    Assuming your JSP pages are registered, you would map your JSP page like:
    <servlet>
    <servlet-name>confirmation</servlet-name>
    <jsp-file>confirmation.jsp</jsp-file>
    </servlet>
    <servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-name>confirmation</servlet-name>
    <url-pattern>/confirmation.out</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>
    What happens is that a request for the URL /NASApp/myapp/confirmation.out gets mapped to the confirmation.jsp JSP page. If you set your MIME type correctly in the JSP page, the HTML output from the JSP page is not properly recognized by the browser causing it to prompt you to save the file.
    I have used this technique to generated CSV files from a JSP page. The browser is completely fooled.

    String a="http://www.google.com";
    %>
    <%= exists(a)%>and i want to see in my jsp page the result.. it means that JSP page shows
    TRUE
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi there,
    One solution is to use JavaBeans and call the methods for the JavaBean from the JSP page.
    Suppose you have a JavaBean called TestConnectionBean as follows:
    package test22;
    import java.net.HttpURLConnection;
    import java.net.URL;
    import java.net.MalformedURLException;
    import java.io.IOException;
      Set the testUrl before checking if connection exists.
    public class TestConnectionBean {
        String testUrl;
        boolean connectionExists;
        public TestConnectionBean() {
        public String getTestUrl() {
            return testUrl;
        public void setTestUrl(String testUrl) {
            this.testUrl = testUrl;
        public boolean getConnectionExists() throws IOException, MalformedURLException {
            HttpURLConnection.setFollowRedirects(false);
            // note : you may also need
            //        HttpURLConnection.setInstanceFollowRedirects(false)
            HttpURLConnection con = null;
            con = (HttpURLConnection) new URL(this.testUrl).openConnection();
            con.setRequestMethod("HEAD");
            return (con.getResponseCode() == HttpURLConnection.HTTP_OK);
        public void setConnectionExists(boolean connectionExists) {
            this.connectionExists = connectionExists;
    }Then you can create a JSP page like this:
    <%@ page contentType="text/html;charset=UTF-8" language="java" %>
    <html>
      <head><title></title></head>
      <body>
      <jsp:useBean id="testConnectionBean" class="test22.TestConnectionBean"/>
      <jsp:setProperty name="testConnectionBean" property="testUrl" value="http://www.google.com" />
      <br/><br/>
      Does the connection exist for http://www.google.com : <jsp:getProperty name="testConnectionBean" property="connectionExists"/>
      <br/><br/>
      <jsp:setProperty name="testConnectionBean" property="testUrl" value="http://www.thisURLdoesntexis.com" />
      <br/><br/>
      <%-- The following will give an exception : java.net.UnknownHostException: www.thisURLdoesntexis.com since the URL doesn't exist.
      --%>
      <%--
      Does the connection exist for http://www.thisURLdoesntexis.com : <jsp:getProperty name="testConnectionBean" property="connectionExists"/>
      --%>
      </body>
    </html>The output you see looks like:
    Does the connection exist for http://www.google.com : true
    I think it is better to handle the exceptions in the JavaBean itself, so now yyou can change the method signature of getConnectionExists , remove all exceptions from method signature but handle them with a try/catch inside the method itself.

  • Printing a wide jsp page

    Hi Friends,
    I have a jsp page displaying some information.It is wide and I have to scroll side ways to see the complete page.Its 2 to 3 times the actual width of the screen.But when I take a print out only the part which is visible is printed and the remaining part which is to the side is truncated.Is there a way so that I can take a print out of the entire width of the page.
    Thanks in Advance for your help.

  • [Solved] Show connection information on JSP Page

    Hi all,
    I have a ADF application. That is working fine, but I'm missing one thing.
    On a jsp page I want to show wich connection paramaters are used to connect to the database. How can I get these parameters?
    Thanks in advance.

    KdeGraaf,
    Just do what I just did:
    Type myAM.getTransaction().getConnectionMetadata().get
    and pause for a second or two, and you'll see that it's called getJdbcURL()
    -- whoops I just saw you answered your own question

    When I try to play a song on my iPod Touch, it shows the information screen for the song and then skips to a new song but then goes back to the main playlist page without ever playing a song! Help!

    thats tough man, yeah exchanging it is the best option. But why do people always leave a message saying" i'll probably just by an ipod" and it's usually followed by, "even though i don't like apple or ipod" . I mean fine, if u feel like giving up on the zen micro thats fine, i personally don't care if you're going to buy an ipod. for god sakes ipod isn't even the next alternati've mp3 players, theres plenty. Are u just trying to get the creative people saying "oh man we lost another one to ipod" cuz i'm sure they don't lose sleep over u wanting to buy an ipod instead of a zen. *done ranting*

  • How to show a JSP Page Multiple Times ??

    Dear Experts,
    Our requirement is like :
    The client chooses to enter the details of 10 customers in the First Jsp page , by selecting 10 in a dropdown list and clicks the Proceed button in the same JSP.
    The Second JSP ie. Customer Details Jsp is popped up and the client enters the details of the first customer. Then he clicks Next Button in that JSP.
    Clicking the Next Button in the Second JSP, will :-
    1>Create a customer object to store the details and add the object to an arraylist ,
    2>Close the current Customer Details JSP and show a new one.
    This will repeat for 10 times and after the last customer details are entered , the Done Button in Customer Details JSP will take the control back to the First Calling Jsp. The First JSP should contain data previously entered.
    How can we implement this logic in JSP ??
    Thanks & Regards
    Saswata Mandal.

    by doing your job. You are a programmer right? So design and develop the code to be able to do this. Don't know how? Then you have some reading to do.
    Hint: you are doing what seems to be some sort of wizard. Whenever I do a wizard type flow, I use a session bean to store the results of all the steps, to validate and store them all in the final step.

  • How to show an xml content in a Jsp page?

    I use <jsp:include page=".....xml" /> tag in a jsp file to include an xml file. When this jsp page is open, only the text content in the xml file shows up with plain text. I want this xml file shows up like in IE (with xml format). Does anyone know how to do it? Thanks.

    Thank you, BalusC & evnafets. Someone told me to use <c:import> to load the XML file into a scoped variable, and then use <c:out> to display it. The <c:out> will automatically convert the markup to HTML entities. I tried it, it works. It shows the content in the xml file as plain text (a long string). Any one give me some suggestion to make it looking better, for example, show each element in seperated lines. Thanks.
