  • Deployement problem in oc4j with hibernate + JPA and Spring

    Dear All,
    From last 2 days I am facing a problem in deployment of our application in oc4j client of oracle app server.
    I am getting the following exception
    Operation failed with error: [mkclsets:mkclsets] - Exception creating EntityManagerFactory using PersistenceProvider class oracle.toplink.essentials.ejb.cmp3.EntityManagerFactoryProvider for persistence unit mkclsetsPersistenceUnit.When I am deploying the same application in tomcat app server its working fine. But I am unable to deploy the same in oc4j.
    I am using the following technologies

  • Flex with Hibernate using HTTP

    Hi All,
    am new to Flex. Can any one post a simple code on Flex with
    Hibernate using HTTP , i mean connecting to database using
    Hibernate and invoking the hibernate by using the HTTP service.
    can we have a sequence like
    Flex(MXML)->JSP->Hibernate->Database .Is it possible?
    Thanks in Advance

    > can we have a sequence like
    Flex(MXML)->JSP->Hibernate->Database .Is it possible?
    That's exactly what you're going to have and it certainly is
    possible. (Replace the JSP with Servlet, Struts Action, JSF or
    whatever)
    Usually you'll send data back -- output to JSP or write to
    HttpServletResponse object -- in XML or JSON format. The data would
    be delivered to the result event of the HTTService in Flex. If it
    fails for some reason, the fault event of HTTService class would be
    invoked.
    The important thing to realize about Flex is that it cannot
    directly connect to a DB; you need a server side action that would
    get data from wherever write it to response. It's more like Ajax
    calls to a JSP/Servlet.

  • How can i increase performance JSP with database?

    Hi,
    I am working a forum.
    I have been facing a problem.
    i am getting collection of records from sql server database to jsp page. here all the records to take long time (*delayness jsp with database*).
    plz any bodies know that increase the permance, tell me.
    thanks & regards,
    k.s.kumar

    again very bad idea never use Put DB Code or Business Logic or Special Service requests inside the servlets/backing beans.
    Ideally the below is the method which is recommended for a Peformant J2EE application which focuses at modulality,configurablity,scalablity & performance.
    http://java.sun.com/blueprints/corej2eepatterns/Patterns/index.html
    Anyways,it might be a costly in terms of investment.Ideally i personally fell the below way/patterm could be comparable.
    <!-- View / Presentation Layer -->
    STEP 1 --> VIEW RENDERED(JSP renders view using a View Object/Objects)
    STEP 2 --> USER (Fills Forms accordingly and request for an action)
    <!-- Controller part -->
    STEP 3 --> Controller(Servlet+Backing Bean)
    STEP 3.1 ---> Mapps the request made into a View Object & Scopes it (Done by servlet )
    STEP 3.2 ---> validation of the data in the VO (and servlet is responsible to find appropriate Backing Bean to pass on the respective View Object)
    STEP 3.3 ----> Backing Bean takes help of a ServiceLocator Object(Singleton Object) and gets appropriate Business Object which takes care of all the appropriate business rule(Managed by Specific Containers)
    <!-- Service Locator takes help of specific Stubs to provide access to specific business Object -->
    <!-- MODEL PART -->
    STEP 3.4 ---->Backing bean passes on respective View Object to the Business Object and Business Object apply business rule on the data recievd from the Backing bean and sends appropriate DTO to DAO Object(Singleton Object)
    STEP 3.5 ----> DAO executes responsible DB query and returns a DTO/Collection of DTO to Business Object.
    STEP 3.6 ----> Business Object apply business rules on the data and then passes it back to backing bean.
    STEP 3.7 -----> Backing Bean receievs appropriate DTO/Collection of DTO sent by Business Object Update the View Object Accordingly.
    STEP 3.8 -----> Depending on the results return by Business Object the backing bean returns to reference appropriate JSP to forward/redirect.
    STEP 3.9 -----> Servlet identifies the reference returned and forward/redirects accordingly.
    STEP 4 ---> Repeat STEP 1
    NOTE: One can make use of any builtin frameworks(like struts,JSF,tapestry,Spring MVC,etc or your custom built framework in VC layers, EJB or Spring IoC or Custom Built Component Layer handling business objects and any ORM like hibernate,Oracle Toplink,Ibatis,JDO,JPA or specific custom devoloped DAO layer) to do this job.
    Might Sound bit complicated but is a better way to plug & play with each layer and can enusure other layer is not distrubed because of change in one layer,distributes the load on respective layer & so on.
    Hope that sounds logical
    REGARDS,
    RaHuL

  • Error while running JSP with custom tag

    I am trying to run a jsp with a tag and I am getting the following error when I run the jsp:
    "Unable to open taglibrary /WEB-INF/jsp/mytaglib.tld : Parse Error in the tag library descriptor: External parameter entity "%(DOCTYPE);" has characters after markup."
    I have no idea what this is, can anyone help me here?
    tx
    -AB

    Its difficult to tell without looking at your TLD file i.e. mytaglib.tld
    However, a guess is that you may be refering to an invalid or otherwise corrupted DTD from your TLD.
    Check that out.
    The official DTD for TLDs in JSP 1.1 is http://java.sun.com/j2ee/dtds/web-jsptaglibrary_1_1.dtd
    and the official DTD for TLDs in JSP 1.2 is http://java.sun.com/dtd/web-jsptaglibrary_1_2.dtd

  • Using EJB with Hibernate on Weblogic Server ADF platform

    Hi all,
    We use Jdeveloper 11.1.1.4 and WLS 10.3
    I tried to use Hibernate on my project according to this link well, EJB with Hibernate On Weblogic
    I wanto use Hibernate tool because toplink and eclipselink can not achieve the issue about generating update* ddl on schema, they can just only re-create the tables -not real update.
    Firstly i got the related jars from internet: http://www.2hotfile.com/di-LSBU.png
    cglib-2.2

    @REM WARNING: This file is created by the Configuration Wizard.
    @REM Any changes to this script may be lost when adding extensions to this configuration.
    @REM *************************************************************************
    @REM This script is used to setup the needed environment to be able to start Weblogic Server in this domain.
    @REM
    @REM This script initializes the following variables before calling commEnv to set other variables:
    @REM
    @REM WL_HOME - The BEA home directory of your WebLogic installation.
    @REM JAVA_VM - The desired Java VM to use. You can set this environment variable before calling
    @REM this script to switch between Sun or BEA or just have the default be set.
    @REM JAVA_HOME - Location of the version of Java used to start WebLogic
    @REM Server. Depends directly on which JAVA_VM value is set by default or by the environment.
    @REM USER_MEM_ARGS - The variable to override the standard memory arguments
    @REM passed to java.
    @REM PRODUCTION_MODE - The variable that determines whether Weblogic Server is started in production mode.
    @REM DOMAIN_PRODUCTION_MODE
    @REM - The variable that determines whether the workshop related settings like the debugger,
    @REM testconsole or iterativedev should be enabled. ONLY settable using the
    @REM command-line parameter named production
    @REM NOTE: Specifying the production command-line param will force
    @REM the server to start in production mode.
    @REM
    @REM Other variables used in this script include:
    @REM SERVER_NAME - Name of the weblogic server.
    @REM JAVA_OPTIONS - Java command-line options for running the server. (These
    @REM will be tagged on to the end of the JAVA_VM and
    @REM MEM_ARGS)

    you forgot to add the usage dependency in the DC metadata section in your DC, you have to add the XSS~utils and fpm as a used DC's as part of your DC, try to add those, if you already done that, so check where missed the adding of used webdynpro components in any of the VAC's or FC's,

    That appears to be a bug in the console. You might try the command-line tool java weblogic.Deployer for deploying apps. java weblogic.Deployer -examples will give detailed usage info.

  • Deploying a jsp with calls to CS Web Services to OC4J 10.1.2.0.2

    Hi
    My jsp (with CS webservices calls) works fine when deployed in the embedded oc4j that comes with jdev 10.1.2.0.0 but when I deploy the jsp to OC4J 10.1.2.0.2 with a preconfigured jpdk (available for download from otn at http://download.oracle.com/otndocs/tech/ias/portal/files/pdk101202_oc4j_extended.zip) I get the following error

    I have found the solution:
    The Content Services Libraries include a saaj-api.jar (for soap messages between the cs client java code and the server side webservices api).
    Unfortunately, the preconfigured oc4j container downloaded from otn included an older version of saaj.jar in its j2ee/home/applib directory, which of course was found before the cslib version according to the default order in which class paths are read.
    All I had to do was remove he saaj.jar from the oc4j/j2ee/home/applib directory so that content services could find its own (more upto date) version

  • Char into balise jsp:scriptlet in jsp with xml syntax

    hello,
    i met a trouble with coding jsp with xml syntax,
    i use wsad to develop the jsp, and it's not allowed to put characters < or > into the balise scriptlet
    for example i cant do a loop (as i did easily with html syntax <% %> ) :
    this his the header of my jsp:
    <jsp:directive.page language="java" contentType="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1" pageEncoding="ISO-8859-1" />
    <jsp:text>
    <![CDATA[ <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1" ?> ]]>
    </jsp:text>
    <jsp:text>
    <![CDATA[ <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.1//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml11/DTD/xhtml11.dtd"> ]]>
    </jsp:text>
    and the code which dont work:
    <jsp:scriptlet>
    for (int i=0;i<10;i++){
    System.out.println(i);
    </jsp:scriptlet>
    i get a compilation error, did someone could help me to code dynamic content jsp ?
    ps: excuse me for my english.

    I don't use xml, so I may be way off the wall, but did you try using the CDATA sections again?
    <jsp:scriptlet>
    <![CDATA[
    for (int i=0;i<10;i++){
    System.out.println(i);
    ]]>
    </jsp:scriptlet>

  • Call JSP with applet and wait till it is loaded

    Hi,
    I am calling a JSP with a java-script. The targetpage needs some time, until the applet is loaded. I would like to call a function in the applet.
    My problem is, that I cannot set 'location.href' and straight after that call the applet, because it will not be there. How can I delay the applet-call, until it is really there?
    function loadOrder(){
    top.mainFrame.location.href = 'auftragseditor.jsp';
    top.mainFrame.OrderApplet.setOrder( orderno )
    I also fitted a while(...) loop between the two statements, but obviously the page is not build up in another thread. The loading will wait.
    Thanks for your help
    Klaus

    Assuming that top.mainFrame.OrderApplet.setOrder( orderno ) causes an exception because
    the applet is not loaded yet you should put it in a try and catch.
    One other problem is that orderno is not defigned anywhere in your method.
    function loadOrder(){
      top.mainFrame.location.href = 'auftragseditor.jsp';
      callApplet( orderno );
    function callApplet(strPassToApplet){
      try{
         top.mainFrame.OrderApplet.setOrder( orderno )
      }catch(e){
        // try again in .1 seconds
        setTimeout("callApplet(\"" + strPassToApplet + \");",100);
    }

  • Logging in JSP with Appserver Ed. 8

    Hi,
    I've got a JSP with several log levels (from SEVERE to FINEST). In the logs of the application server, I only see the ones from SEVERE to INFO). I've tried to change some log configuration in the admin console (Root, Server, Web Container) but it still doesn't work. I even tried to change the log level in the logging.properties of the JRE but with no success.
    Does anybody knows how to make that work ?
    Thanks,
    Antonio

    1. The Default Log Level set for any new logger created is INFO. So, you will see only SEVERE, WARNING
    and INFO messages.
    2. To override the default log level, you add a property in <log-service> element of domain.xml which will
    look like
    <log-service>
    <module-log-levels...................................../>
    <property name="<Your Logger Name>"
    value="< One of the 8 values FINEST|FINER|FINE|CONFIG|INFO|WARNING|SEVERE|OFF>" />
    </log-service>
    Restart the AppServer to pick up these values.
    Good Luck,
    \H
