JtabbedPane and Jbutton click help

Question

I have jPanel's added to the jTabbedPane.
When the next button which is in the first jPanel is clicked I want to move to the next tab i.e the next jPanel.
right now I have the following
//ActionListener for jButton_Next Of NavigationButtons Panel
newNavigationButtonsClass.jButton_Next.addActionListener(new ActionListener() {
public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e) {
newNavigationButtonsClass.first_time_diaplay_buttons = false;
newNavigationButtonsClass.jButton_Back.setEnabled(true);
How can I change this to get it to work. Thanks.

does the JTabbedPane.setSelectedIndex(1);
move to the next tab?
I mean will the current pane that I can see is the 2nd JPanel(2nd tab)? or do I have to write something else so that I move to the 2nd Tab. I tried giving this but does not move to the next tab.
