JTabbedPane content inserted at selection time

Hi,
I have a jtabbedpane with a few tabs. I want to insert the content of each tab at selection time. That means by default the content of the first tab is inserted. When I select the next tab it should retreive data from a DB and update this selected tab. But I can't do it. In my current implementation I load all data in all tabs at start time. But since the amount of data is large it takes a lot of time till the tabbedpane is visible.
Is there anyone who can help me with this.
Thanks in advance
grkh

Hi,
add ChangeListener on the JTabbedPane and listen for stateChanged event. look at the following example:
import java.awt.*;
import javax.swing.*;
import java.awt.event.*;
import javax.swing.event.*;
public class TestFrame extends JFrame
  JTabbedPane jTabbedPane1 = new JTabbedPane();
  JPanel jPanel1 = new JPanel();
  JPanel jPanel2 = new JPanel();
  public TestFrame()
    try
      jbInit();
    catch(Exception e)
      e.printStackTrace();
  public static void main(String[] args)
    (new TestFrame()).show();
  private void jbInit() throws Exception
    this.setTitle("Test Frame");
    this.addWindowListener(new java.awt.event.WindowAdapter()
      public void windowClosing(WindowEvent e)
        this_windowClosing(e);
    this.setSize(450, 350);
    jTabbedPane1.addChangeListener(new javax.swing.event.ChangeListener()
      public void stateChanged(ChangeEvent e)
        jTabbedPane1_stateChanged(e);
    this.getContentPane().add(jTabbedPane1, BorderLayout.CENTER);
    jTabbedPane1.add(jPanel1, "jPanel1");
    jTabbedPane1.add(jPanel2, "jPanel2");
  void this_windowClosing(WindowEvent e)
    dispose();
    System.exit(0);
  void jTabbedPane1_stateChanged(ChangeEvent e)
    System.out.println("Tab Index: " + jTabbedPane1.getSelectedIndex());

  • This content cannot be selected at this time.

    when I will go in to the store, I can see the special offers and so on, but when I shall go in to see all games, this comes up "This content cannot be selected at this time" it have been like this in several hours now, and I am tierd of it....I live in sweden

    I keep getting "This content cannot be selected at this time" trying to navigate through the store.  I found out about this when I attempted to purchase Demon's Souls by clicking on the game page only for it to show this message, after that I realised it wasn't just the one game, it was multiple games giving me this error.  I also attempted to try my luck on my laptop by going to the PS store with my chrome browser, it gave basically the same error with a different message.  I've been using my PS3 system since 2011 and I've never had this problem.  I also don't have a "Walmart connection" so to speak. Yet now, just going on the store is making my PS3 system have a 50/50 chance of crashing.  I've looked everywhere but can't find an answer to this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated for me and anyone else who has the same problem I'm sure.

  • Long time on buffer sort with a insert and select through a dblink

    I am doing a fairly simple "insert into select from" statement through a dblink, but something is going very wrong on the other side of the link. I am getting a huge buffer sort time in the explain plan (line 9) and I'm not sure why. When I try to run sql tuning on it from the other side of the dblink, I get an ora-600 error "ORA-24327: need explicit attach before authenticating a user".

    It was noticed that it failing for the following 2 time zones during inserting and selecting the data.

    Try MetaLink. Lots of hits on ORA-1882.
    Specifically, Note 414590.1 "Time Zone IDs for 7 Time Zones Changed in Time Zone Files Version 3 and Higher, Possible ORA-1882 After Upgrade" sounds promising.

    Hi,
    Maybe work:
    For each row, ORA_ROWSCN returns the conservative upper bound system change number (SCN) of the most recent change to the row. This pseudocolumn is useful for determining approximately when a row was last updated. It is not absolutely precise, because Oracle tracks SCNs by transaction committed for the block in which the row resides
    e.g.:
    SGMS@ORACLE10> create table test(cod number);
    Table created.
    SGMS@ORACLE10> insert into test values (1);
    1 row created.
    SGMS@ORACLE10> insert into test values (2);
    1 row created.
    SGMS@ORACLE10> commit;
    Commit complete.
    SGMS@ORACLE10> insert into test values (3);
    1 row created.
    SGMS@ORACLE10> commit;
    Commit complete.
    SGMS@ORACLE10> select SCN_TO_TIMESTAMP(ora_rowscn),ora_rowscn,cod from test;

  • Querying for a script insert multiple selected objects...

    Is there a script or plugin which insert multiple selected objects in one new text frame with one click?
    And is there a script or plugin which extract the content of anchored text frame out it's frame and replace it with it's frame. and extract selected text and insert it inside a new anchored text frame in it's place? (like convert text to table - convert table to text, but instead table we use text frame)

    Hi,
    Using OMB scripting to set attribute properties in a data mapping sort of defeats the purpose of utilizing a graphical user interface to define and set properties for a data mapping? Surely the GUI data mapping tool was created to get away from writing scripts and scripting would also require that you know the name of the data mapping, table operator and the set of attribute names for which you have to write one line of script to set each property value, i.e. 90 lines to set 90 attribute values.
    Cheers,
    Phil

  • ORDER BY not allowed in INSERT..SELECT ?

    I'm trying to INSERT..SELECT into a table, the SELECT should be ordered by a clause, but Oracle (8.1.7) does not permit that.
    INSERT INTO SumTable
    SELECT Field1,Field2
    FROM FullTable
    WHERE field1 = 1
    ORDER BY field2;
    I get: ORA-00933: SQL command not properly ended
    It doesn't matter if the "order by" field is part of the SELECT or not. When I remove the ORDER BY the INSERT works perfectly. Oracle docs do not mention this limitation. Is this known issue? Can I make it to work?
    I do have a solution in PL/SQL, open a cursor for the SELECT with the ORDER BY, INSERT one row at a time in the cursor loop, but its too slow when I have more than 10K records to insert.
    Thanks,
    Yoram Ayalon

    I have to take issue with this. rows are inserted based on the blocks on the freelist.
    Watch.
    We will create a feeder table.
    SQL> create table feeder (ID) pctfree 0 as select rownum from all_objects;
    Table created.
    SQL> create table FRED (mycol integer) pctfree 0 pctused 99;
    {99 so that free space is reused almost immediately for demo only }
    Table created.
    SQL> analyze table fred compute statistics;
    Table analyzed.
    SQL> select blocks from user_tables where table_name='FRED';
    BLOCKS
    0
    SQL> insert into fred (mycol) select id from feeder where id <=32000;
    32000 rows created.
    { So we now have a tightly packed table. Blocksize 8k by- the-by )
    SQL> analyze table fred compute statistics;
    SQL> select blocks from user_Segments where segment_name='FRED';
    BLOCKS
    48
    { Ok : 48 blocks.  Now we will get rid of 1/2 of the rows scattered throughout the 48 }
    SQL> delete from fred where mod(mycol,2) =0;
    16000 rows deleted.
    SQL> analyze table fred compute statistics;
    Table analyzed.
    SQL> select blocks from user_Segments where segment_name='FRED';
    BLOCKS
    48
    { Ok : Still 48 blocks since we haven't been inserting only deleting }
    [ if we looked at user_Tables now it would show most if not all of the blocks on the freelist given the 99 PCTUSED }
    { now let's chuck in another 16000 ordered rows }
    SQL> insert into fred (mycol) select id from feeder where id <=16000 order by id
    16000 rows created.
    SQL> analyze table fred compute statistics;
    Table analyzed.
    SQL> select blocks from user_Segments where segment_name='FRED';
    BLOCKS
    48
    { look ! no extra blocks !
    -> it must have filled the non-contiguous holes in the blocks
    -> the rows are not physically ordered.

  • Find record insert date and time in a table

    Hi All,
    I want to get record insert date and time in a table. There is no datetime column in my table. Are there any possibility to get date and time for each record?
    Thank You

    Thats not easy. If your transaction info still resides on active portion of the log you can use fn_dblog to read out the time at which the transactions occurs. This is useful only if you try it shortly after transaction.
    the code would look like this
    SELECT *
    FROM fn_dblog(null,null)
    WHERE [Transaction Name] LIKE 'INSERT%'
    OR [Transaction Name] LIKE 'UPDATE%'

  • Insert at BWF Time Offset - Not working!

    I have some broadcast wave files generated with Cubase 5, and they definitely have BWF time offset. I can see it in File Info. When I select the option to Use BWF Time Reference Offset, and then attempt to insert the file, it just inserts at the cursor. How do I make it insert at the time offset?

    Seems this is a good thing in CS4.
    In CS3, you can split tracks that you didn't want split if you are not careful, so this seems like a very good new thing they added.

  • Number of rows inserted is different in bulk insert using select statement

    I am facing a problem in bulk insert using SELECT statement.
    My sql statement is like below.
    strQuery :='INSERT INTO TAB3
    (SELECT t1.c1,t2.c2
    FROM TAB1 t1, TAB2 t2
    WHERE t1.c1 = t2.c1
    AND t1.c3 between 10 and 15 AND)' ....... some other conditions.
    EXECUTE IMMEDIATE strQuery ;
    These SQL statements are inside a procedure. And this procedure is called from C#.
    The number of rows returned by the "SELECT" query is 70.
    On the very first time call of this procedure, the number rows inserted using strQuery is *70*.
    But in the next time call (in the same transaction) of the procedure, the number rows inserted is only *50*.
    And further if we are repeating calling this procedure, it will insert sometimes 70 or 50 etc. It is showing some inconsistency.
    On my initial analysis it is found that, the default optimizer is "ALL_ROWS". When i changed the optimizer mode to "rule", this issue is not coming.
    Anybody faced these kind of issues?
    Can anyone tell what would be the reason of this issue..? any other work around for this...?
    I am using Oracle 10g R2 version.

    You have very likely concurrent transactions on the database:
    >
    By default, Oracle Database permits concurrently running transactions to modify, add, or delete rows in the same table, and in the same data block. Changes made by one transaction are not seen by another concurrent transaction until the transaction that made the changes commits.
    >
    If you want to make sure that the same query always retrieves the same rows in a given transaction you need to use transaction isolation level serializable instead of read committed which is the default in Oracle.
    Please read http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/appdev.112/e10471/adfns_sqlproc.htm#ADFNS00204.
    You can try to run your test with:
    set  transaction isolation level  serializable;If the problem is not solved, you need to search possible Oracle bugs on My Oracle Support with keywords

    If its empty then you can drop it and create it as
    create your_another_table

    It depends on the reason behind you wanting to split your transaction into small chunks. Most of the time there is no good reason for that.
    If you are tying to imporve performance by doing so then you are wrong it will only degrade the performance.
    To improve the performance you can use APPEND hint in insert, you can try PARALLEL DML and If you are in 11g and above you can use [url http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/appdev.112/e25788/d_parallel_ex.htm#CHDIJACH]DBMS_PARALLEL_EXECUTE to break your insert into chunks and run it in parallel.
    So if you can tell the actual objective we could offer some help.

  • Insert a countdown timer in Keynote?

    Hello all,
    I'm sure this is an included feature that I just can't find somehow. I would like to insert a countdown timer into a slide. This seems pretty common; I've seen it done a lot. But I just can't find the Insert>timer link, or anything like it. And the iWork help file is forever searching and never going anywhere (second, embedded problem), so I can't search there.
    I tried the iPresentee thing, but it didn't download properly. Plus, it seems like a basic feature available for a presenter, especially since there's a timer included in the Presenter view.
    Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    d moon,
    Keynote does not provide any countdown timer features. You need to seek third parties for them.
    The iPresentee timers are a good start - their website provides a free "goodie" of timers in the form of a Keynote File where many choices of timers are available. Try downloading the file again or contact iPresentee for assistance.
    Each Timer is actually a Quicktime video clip. You select the one with the closest time range to your needs, copy it to your presentation and adjust the start point.
    Keynote > Inspector > Quicktime > Start & Stop controls

  • Possible to insert a countdown timer into an iMovie clip?

    I'm making an exercise video, and I want to insert an occasional small clip with a countdown timer.  Ideally, it would be some beautiful nature footage (like waterfalls or wildlife), with a countdown timer in the corner.
    Does anydbody know how to insert a countdown timer into an iMovie clip?
    For that matter, does anybody know where I could find/purchase 2 minutes of nature footage?

    Sure you can. What you need to do is add the initial image to the topic then create an image map. This allows you to define shapes that when the user's mouse hovers over it indicates that there is a hyperlinkto another topic. Just right click on the image, select Insert Image Map and go from there.

  • A query with "insert..select" run with dqp?

    I would like to know if a query with "insert cluase select clause" is operated with the function of the dqp.
    I think that a query portion with "select clause" is possible to run with dqp.
    if anybody knows about this case, please let me know.
    Thanks in advance,
    Dokon Kim

    There is no such thing as pl/sql 5.1.4, at that time pl/sql didn't even exist.
    You also state it works in Sql*plus but it doesn't work in PL/SQL as PL/SQL is using OCI7. Which isn't true.
    Please stop playing games and withhelding information.
    Post the real info. Not what you think is important.
    Why are you using a (desupported) 9.0.1 client against a 10GR2 database?}
