JTF_GRID

Hello,
I am new to forms customization in Oracle EBS and I am also new to JTF_GRID. This is on 6i of Forms on 11.5.10.2
I have to develop a form that uses JTF_GRID.
Is there any comprehensive documentation available on JTF_GRID anywhere? What it is , how it works and JTF_GRID package API documentation?

I am unable to find any documentation. We are getting ready to implement R12 and we have some forms developed by consultants that used JTF_GRID so I am trying to determine how it works. I did find a book called "Oracle E-Business Suite R12 Core Development and Extension Cookbook" by Andy Penver that references JTF_GRID.
I can point you in the right direction. Make sure you have CRM Administrator responsibility and goto Spreadtable => Metadata Administration. This is where the JTF Grid data is setup.

Apps forms - error in metadata grid - jtf_grid.reset

Hi,
I am getting an error in one of the apps forms (this is customized).
The error is
APP-JTF-210604: Program error..
JTF_GRID package reports error:
DEVELOPER ERROR: jtf_grid.reset reports that:
grid <ASTLGEN_GRID.ITEM_GRID>
has not been initialized. A grid must be specified using BLOCK.ITEM_NAME in UPPERCASE.
This error is in the form.
This happens while entering a search criteria and hitting on search button. The same search criteria is working for some users.
Please help me by giving any tips towards debugging it.

Error while retrieving result set in JTFGRID.

Hi ,
We have developed a custom form where there are various search parameters. Contract Number being one of them. The result set consists of various fields like Contract ID, Contract Number, Contract Number modifier etc. This result is deriving its data from a custom view based on the contract id of the contract selected and populating in the grid.
The issue is the result set is coming only for few contracts and for some it is throwing the below error:
APP-JTF- 210604: Program Error: Please inform your system admin or support representative that:
jtf_grid.populate package reports error :
An unexpected error occurred in jtf_grid.populate
grid :<customgridname>
datasource:<customdatasource>
The following information is available

The error is most likely in the form or the metadata definition . Please check the following alert for the error code.
The error stack is (first 1000 bytes):
ORA-01722: invalid number
ORA-06512: at "APPS.JTF_GRIDDB" , line 837
ORA-06512: at "APP.JTF_GRIDDB" , line 878
The datatype of the contract id of all the contracts is same. Not sure what the issue is.
Please provide your inputs on the above. If this is not the correct forum for this query then please let me know the correct one.

Cancelling of Long Running Queries feature for GRID data block

Hi,
Maybe someone knows solution-
we have custom form with Spreadtable (JTF_GRID object) block (similar as, for example, EBS form WMSCTLBD).
Is here any possibility to enable ‘Cancel Long Running Queries’ feature for it?
I have reviewed built-in JTF_GRID library (with hope to implement it by adding some custom timer) but I cannot find any API which could be used for cancelling already submitted queries.
I have created a SR but analyst suggested to ask for it in forums :)
Our Oracle Forms Version is 6.0.8.28.0
