Quicktime 7 Pro, may or may not be able to convert your .avi files to correct format. It would depend on if it plays in Quicktime 7 and what not so it Might not be a vaible solution.
Videora is probably your best solution, there are some guides on the discussions if you do a quick search for it that explains how to use the program, I don't have it on hand right now.

"Strange Situation" error in AE CC 2014 (Just upgraded) caused me to lose an entire day of effects work. Very angry, and I want answers. Have to deliver tomorrow. (Error 939524096)

Here is my file. Seems to be corrupted. No Auto Save was made eventhough AE is configured to save one. Seemed to happen in the middle of things, while I was switching between Premiere CC 2014 and After Effects CC 2014 (Dynamic Linking). Was working perfectly fine until randomly the program crashed and Dynamic Link in Premiere lost access to the upwards of FIFTY COMPOSITIONS I had worked on.

I don't mean to be cruel here, but you lost a client because you didn't have a efficient and safe workflow set up. I never do anything without saving files in versions about every 10 to 20 minutes. If your files are getting corrupted every time you save them then you got to analyze your project and figure out what you are doing that is causing the corruption. Work for 10 or 15 minutes, save the file, open the file, save it as a different version then start again when you're having problems. Here's the most important part of business advice I can give you. As soon as you have any indication that there may be something wrong, contact your client. Don't make excuses, don't blame the software, take full responsibility and just explain that you need more time or something in the project needs to change. I have never had a client refuse to give me some leeway or refuse to make adjustments to the project that would allow it to be completed on time.

I Just want unscripted help and information

I reported total loss of service this morning, but have had nothing but scripted replies from the call centre. All I want to know is why I have no service and why it is going to take until the end of the week to resolve. I have two children studying A levels who need to do research and homework on line, the cloud is a wonderful thing, so glad that schools have adopted it so keenly. I was also due to work from home this week but now will have to commute to the office. PLEASE B.T just explain whats wrong and why it's going to take so long!!!! Do I still pay line rental when I have no service, and no it is not my internal wiring before I get asked that again!!!!! Thank you for listening to my rant.

It can take anything from a day to several weeks to fix a fault, and nobody will know until an Openreach engineer locates the problem.
The worst case is probably when the problem is with a cable running under a public highway. Openreach can't just dig up the road - they have to get a permit from the local council first, then employ a team of contractors to dig a hole, before the engineer can fix it (unless the hole turns out to be in the wrong place...). Dodgy telephone poles that are unsafe to climb can also be a problem.
The best case is when a wire's come adrift, and the engineer just connects it back again.
If the line's down for more than 3 days, you can claim back the line rental for the period in which you had no service. It will be credited to your bill. But remember to ask.

Then find your issue in the categories and then it will most likely take you to a page with suggested things to do but also on this page should be an option to e-mail them. Just explain your problem and also have the names of the songs that you are having problems with listed in the e-mail so they can help you more quickly. They usually get back to you within 24 hours.

Go to the page that you want to use as a home page - any web site that you want to use. Navigate to that site in Safari. While you are on that web site - tap the Arrow icon in the Safari toolbar - to the left of the URL field at the top. The white area in which you type the website address is the URL field - the arrow icon is to the left of that. When you tap on that icon - you can select - add to Home Screen from the pop up menu. Tap on that. When you do that, it will put a Safari shortcut icon onto your home page.
Then from now on you can tap on that shortcut icon - that you just created - on the home screen of the iPad - and that will open Safari to that "homepage" that you selected.

If your Home Button works, you should be able to reset - press the Home and Main button at the same time for 15 sec. Then press the main button for 2sec to have it restart.
Do what I said earlier:

I don't promise that they'll change it but they may, mainly if the problem of the Home Button is going on since more than half a year (still within the one year warranty) and you just explain that you did not know that you could have changed it at the time and now it's completely dead.
If you really want to recover all your stuff and are living in the US, you should go to the nearest Genius bar and see what they can do.

i just simply gone into Debug mode. there
code = Dele.
i have given. then i came out from debug mode to Table. there i just got Delete button on application tool bar.
i selected the record then icliked on Delete button.
it is got deleted.
But it is not asking for any new Transport Request.

HELP please ! No phone service for a month or more....

I've been a Verizon custmer for as long as I can remember (in my late 50's). I've been living in this smae house now for 10 years - no changes to wiring etc. I have land line and DSL service - never an issue. I woke up one morning back in June and no dial tone. I unplugged each phone one at a time etc., did not solve the problem. I took a phone out to the service box and plugged it into the jack outside and it works just fine. I happened to have a long length of phone wire and so I ran it out the window to the jack outside. Thankfully both DSL and phone now work. One odd thing is that my phone will ring now twice per day - 2 rings and at exactly at the same time am & pm. Also, when ever I end a phone call (hang up) the phone will ring once. These behaviors are consistent. The wiring inside the house can't be more than 10 years old as this how old the house is. I have changed nothing except putting the inline filters on each phone when I got DSL 5/6 years ago. I live alone and have not had any service calls by any other utility company so its not that a service person accidently caused a problem with the wiring. I can not afford to call a service tech out to the house only to find out that its somehow my responsibilty as I no longer work and have serious heath issues now and medical bills through the roof. Not whining, just explaining. I know, "you can afford DSL though ?". Yes, the 'net its my only contact with the outside world. I live alone and don't know any of my neighbors. Again, not whining, just 'splaining ! Anyhow, I thought maybe a lightning strike but then the service jack would be fried too so that can't be it.I have only a crawl space access to the house wiring and crawling around down there trying to test the wiring will be painful and difficult to say the least. I thought that maybe I could un hook and splice say the green wire to the red wire on the outside jack and then put the probes from a continuity tester across the green/red termianls at each inside jack so as to test for a break in the line might work ? Of course I'd have to repeat for each color which means a lot of running outside and back in again but I guess I could do it if need be. I only have 3 rooms, each with a modular wall jack and a phone in each + the DSL wire/jack. Other than this I'm all out of ideas and not even sure if the splicing idea even makes sense ? If anyone could help with an answer/advice, I'd be extremely grateful as the cold weather will be coming soon and having a wire go out through an opened window - even if only crack, will not cut it when it gets -30 here !! Thank you for responding. Yes, I do have a long length of phone wire but its part of a phone company reel 'thingamajig' and I'd have to cut the jack off the end thereby ruining the piece. If I did cut the end off I'd then have no way to use my phone/DSL if I couldn't do the needed repairs immediately. This is why I was asking about the 'splice' procedure. I think my 'logic' is correct - if you unscrew the green and red wires out at the box and splice them together they'd form a continuous loop from the outside box to the green/red wires at the wall jack. Of course one can splice any 2 of the colored wires to make the 'loop' and it can be spliced at either end - inside at wall jack or outside at box....that is 'I think so'.... Then I put the probes of my continuity detector on the corresponding red/green wire ends at the opposite end and see if I have a continuous, unbroken 'loop' (?)This wouldn't answer whether there was a corrosion issue or not but it should show if there's a break in one of the wires. The house is comparatively 'new' as houses go and I can't help but think there's something else going on here - especially since the phone rings twice per day at the exact hour/minute/second every day and also rings once whenever I hang up the phone. I was hoping a Verizon person would see my post as there has to be something particular to Verizon I think that someone who does/handles repairs would recognize. I'd find it hard to believe that the 2 calls per day and the ring when I hang up doesn't signify SOMETHING to do with trouble shooting/line testing or hardware characteristics known to Verizon. Again, thanks for taking the time to respond. Now if I could just get a Verizon person to do likewise !

Let me ask you one base Question, On which area are you working? Are you from functional side or Technical side (Developement or Basis guy)?
This is very clear cut answer that with the restricted autorization you can protect table and programs. Do not provide the change autorization.
CATCH your BASIS guy and he will do rest of the things. Just explain him what are you want to protect.

Saving always goes to documents folder

Hello,
I've posted this problem before but haven't received a fix for it yet. Perhaps I'm just explaining it wrong. Simply put every time I go to save a document, instead of going to the last folder used in the program it always goes to the documents folder of the user. Also the last folder does not even show up in the drop down of the save window, only the path to the documents folder. The various programs do remember recent documents opened. But the "open file" always goes to documents, not last folder. This was not always the case, but has been for the last 6months or so and I can't seem to correct it.
I've tested the system by adding a new account and seeing if it happen there also or if it is just the one account. But the same situation exists, so it seems to be universal to this computer.
Based on previous threads this is what I've attempted so far:
Deleted in: (myhome)/Library/Preferences
com.apple.finder.plist
com.apple.sidebarlists.plist
com.apple.launchservices.plist
com.adobe.xxxx.plist
com.macromedia.xxxx.plist
ALSO Deleted : /library/caches/com.applelaunchservices-xxxx.csstore (all)
Then restarted computer. This however has not resolved the problem. I know all the work arounds of "put folder in sidebar" and what not, but that doesn't fix the problem. I want to fix this problem.

I don't know what else you can do, nor why dialogs aren't working correctly. The Open and Save dialogs in most applications are now handled by Apple's Navigation Services, although developers can add some custom things to this basic arrangement. See this article:

Note especially this paragraph:
"...two types of dialogs can appear—a minimal Save dialog and a full Save dialog. The minimal Save dialog, shown in Figure 1-2, is displayed the first time a user saves a document in an application. This dialog provides a text field for the user to enter a filename. Applications can optionally specify a default filename to display. The dialog has a Where pop-up menu that, by default, suggests the Documents folder for the user. The user can open the pop-up menu to choose from locations previously set in the Finder sidebar or a recently-visited location. If none of those locations are acceptable, the user can click the disclosure button to the right of the text field to access the full Save dialog."
AFAIK the user choices made are then saved to the application's plist file. A list of Recent Items is also written to the com.apple.finder.plist and to the com.apple.recentitems.plist. So if you tossed those two plist files and the application's plist file, plus the sidebar plist for good measure you should get back to the default state. You would then open a dialog, expand it to full navigation view, pick new stuff, and these changes would be written to the respective plists. If this is not happening--if the plists are not being written to--I'm afraid I don't know what else you could do.
If you've never created a test user you might do so (in System Prefs/Acconts), log in to the test user and do some opening and saving (remember you will be at the default of the simple window with the Documents as the usual default). After you've done some open and save actions see if the test user now works correctly, with your actions remembered when you go back after a logout/in. If that is the case, then there is something odd going on in your regular account.
