Just-In-Time debugger during a Table export

Hello:
I'm using PL/SQL developer Version: 7.0.3.1123, OS: Windows XP, Visual Studio 2008.
I used to export-import table(s) (up to 10 million records) using PL/SQL developer (Tools > Export Tables).
But from the last few days I'm unable to do that. It generates error during export. A pop up appears and stops the export option.
On the top of the pop-up: Visual Studio Just-In-Time Debugger
On the body: An unhandled win32 exception occurred in EXP.EXE
I disabled Just-In-Time debugger; but still it generates error and says enable Just-In-Time debugger.
I'm stuck with this situation. Need help.
Thanks,
Tanvir

Hello:
The executable file EXP.EXE is a file which is found after the installation of Oracle into a PC. You can find it in your oracle/ora92/Bin/EXP.EXE folder too. PL/SQL developer only uses this exe to export table. So, this is not a question related to PL/SQL Developer only. I tried to use imp/exp command. It also provieds similar error.
Thanks,
Tanvir

I installed Reader X and when I tried opening it, I received a Visual Studio Just-in-time Debugger error "An unhandled win32 exception occurred in AcroRd32.exe [3116].  I uninstalled, rebooted and tried reinstalling and received the same error.
I tried disabling the just in time debugger mentioned in http://www.programmerfish.com/disable-visual-studio-just-in-time-debugger/ and received the error "An unhandled win32 exception occurred in AcroRd32.exe [4080].  Just-in-time debugging this exception failed with the following error:  No installed debugger has just-in-time debugging enabled.  In Visual Studio, Just-in-time debugging can be enabled.....
I do have Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 installed.
    Any ideas?

We discovered that Reader X users that had an older version of PGP installed received this error. We implemented a registry change on these devices which resolved the issued. PGP recognized it was an incompatibility issue on their end, and supposedly, with the newer version of PGP it will be resolved.  In order to resolve this, try using Adobe Readers whitelisting feature.  Below are the steps to follow:
      i.   Add a registry entry enabling the use of whitelisting:
           [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\10.0\FeatureLockDown]
           "bUseWhitelistConfigFile"=dword:00000001
ii.  Create a whitelist file called "ProtectedModeWhitelistConfig.txt" and place it
in the Adobe Reader executable path i.e. C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 10.0\Reader
iii. The ProtectedModeWhitelistConfig.txt file will need to contain the string
           SECTION_ALLOW_ANY = *PGPhk*

  • Visual Studio Just-in-Time Debugger

weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, i love DW application errors.
Got this one today: Visual STudio Just-In-Time Debugger , An
    unhandled win32......
what is that...i dont even have Visual Studio
    installed??

Very simply, this message tells you that jagsrv.exe crashes when you start it. You get the dialog box because Visual studio 2005 is installed on the system, which means that there is at least 1 debugger installed. The windows runtime asks you if you want
    to debug the application.
If you have the source files for that application available and the pdb files for that application, you can debug the problem to see where it crashes and what could be the cause.

  • Getting RID of Just-In-Time debugger

    Hello all.
    I
installed Visual Studio, and had no problems.  Except one.  The
Just-In-Time debugger.  It seems to come up all the time now, and it
has broken Winamp AND Cakewalk SONAR 5.  I tried disabling it in Visual
Studio's options, but that doesn't stop the pop up and the subsequent
shut down of the program (which did NOT happen before).  Any ideas?

i have had simillar problums with debug but not with the debug with the actually program and debug has not interefeared with any of my programs yet considering i only had the program now for about 2 hours i was able to copy this repeated error to clip board i hope it helps the development team

I am using 9i dev suite. while generating report from report builder after formating some pages am getting error, visual studio just in time debugger error is anybody knows how to resolve this, pls help me.

Sounds to me like the Reports Builder is crashing and you have Windows Debugging turned on. Try defragmenting your HDD, cleaning the Windows Registry and lastly, install any patches or bug fixes and lastly, resinstall if all previous attempts don't fix the problem.
    Hope this helps,

  • Slow split table export (R3load and WHERE clause)

For our split table exports, we used custom coded WHERE clauses. (Basically adding additional columns to the R3ta default column to take advantage of existing indexes).
The results have been good so far. Full tablescans have been eliminated and export times have gone down, in some cases, tables export times have improved by 50%.
However, our biggest table, CE1OC01 (120 GB), continues to be a bottleneck. Initially, after using the new WHERE clause, it looked like performance gains were dramatic, with export times for the first 5 packages dropping from 25-30 hours down to 1 1/2 hours.
However, after 2 hours, the remaining CE1OC01 split packages have shown no improvement. This is very odd because we are trying to determine why part of the table exports very fast, but other parts are running very slow.
Before the custom WHERE clauses, the export server had run into issues with SORTHEAP being exhausted, so we thought that might be the culprit. But that does not seem to be an issue now, since the improved WHERE clauses have reduced or eliminated excessive sorting.
I checked the access path of all the CE1OC01 packages, through EXPLAIN, and they all access the same index to return results. The execution time in EXPLAIN returns similar times for each of the packages:
    CE1OC01-11: select * from CE1OC01  WHERE MANDT='212'
    AND ("BELNR" > '0124727994') AND ("BELNR" <= '0131810250')
    CE1OC01-19: select * from CE1OC01 WHERE MANDT='212'
    AND ("BELNR" > '0181387534') AND ("BELNR" <= '0188469413')
          0 SELECT STATEMENT ( Estimated Costs =  8.448E+06 [timerons] )
      |
      ---      1 RETURN
          |
          ---      2 FETCH CE1OC01
              |
              ------   3 IXSCAN CE1OC01~4 #key columns:  2
query execution time [millisec]            |       333
uow elapsed time [microsec]                |   429,907
total user CPU time [microsec]             |         0
total system cpu time [microsec]           |         0
Both queries utilize an index that has fields MANDT and BELNR. However, during R3load, CE1OC01-19 finishes in an hour and a half, whereas CE1OC01-11 can take 25-30 hours.
I am wondering if there is anything else to check on the DB2 access path side of things or if I need to start digging deeper into other aggregate load/infrastructure issues. Other tables don't seem to exhibit this behavior. There is some discrepancy between other tables' run times (for example, 2-4 hours), but those are not as dramatic as this particular table.
Another idea to test is to try and export only 5 parts of the table at a time, perhaps there is a throughput or logical limitation when all 20 of the exports are running at the same time. Or create a single column index on BELNR (default R3ta column) and see if that shows any improvement.
Anyone have any ideas on why some of the table moves fast but the rest of it moves slow?
We also notice that the "fast" parts of the table are at the very end of the table. We are wondering if perhaps the index is less fragmented in that range, a REORG or recreation of the index may do this table some good. We were hoping to squeeze as many improvements out of our export process as possible before running a full REORG on the database. This particular index (there are 5 indexes on this table) has a Cluster Ratio of 54%, so, perhaps for purposes of the export, it may make sense to REORG the table and cluster it around this particular index. By contrast, the primary key index has a Cluster Ratio of 86%.
Here is the output from our current run. The "slow" parts of the table have not completed, but they average a throughput of 0.18 MB/min, versus the "fast" parts, which average 5 MB/min, a pretty dramatic difference.

Hi all, thanks for the quick and extremely helpful answers.
    Beck,
Thanks for the health check. We are exporting the entire table in parallel, so all the exports begin at the same time. Regarding the SORTHEAP, we initially thought that might be our problem, because we were running out of SORTHEAP on the source database server. Looks like for this run, and the previous run, SORTHEAP has remained available and has not overrun. That's what was so confusing, because this looked like a buffer overrun.
    Ralph,
The WHERE technique you provided worked perfectly. Our export times have improved dramatically by switching to the forced full tablescan. Being always trained to eliminate full tablescans, it seems counterintuitive at first, but, given the nature of the export query, combined with the unsorted export, it now makes total sense why the tablescan works so much better.
Looks like you were right, in this case, the index adds too much additional overhead, and especially since our Cluster Ratio was terrible (in the 50% range), so the index was definitely working against us, by bouncing all over the place to pull the data out.
We're going to look at some of our other long running tables and see if this technique improves runtimes on them as well.
Thanks so much, that helped us out tremendously. We will verify the data from source to target matches up 1 for 1 by running a consistency check.
Look at the throughput difference between the previous run and the current run:

  • Media Encoder/Premiere Export Crashing During long file exports

I'm running Premiere Pro CC 2014 on a windows 7 computer--a Livestream Studio HD500. I use the computer to capture live video, which is saved as large AVI motion-jpeg files. I need to edit and export these files as compressed h.264 videos for upload to the web.
I am able to import these files into premiere and work with them, but the program crashes to desktop during any long export. I am able to export very short (1 or 2 minute) videos just fine, but anything longer will crash to desktop after a few minutes of processing. Media encoder also crashes when attempting to compress the videos prior to processing.
I have been able to circumvent this problem by compressing the files I'm working with in advance using virtualdub, but it adds an annoying step to the workflow that I'd like to eliminate. Shouldn't premiere be able to import, edit, and export compressed versions of these files without crashing?
Note: I've tried turning off GPU rendering and clearing my cache several times.
    Thoughts? Much appreciated.

    Maybe this problem?

    Thanks,
    Tanvir

  • To store time only in the table and get it to the report in Apex

    Hi,
I am very very new to Apex.
I get a txt file with around 57 columns(comma seperated). In apex we import this and insert it into a database table (csv into table) and then generate a reports out of this table using procedure/packages. we have different fields in this extract which gives different dates and times ( thats right dates and time comes seperate in seperate columns). I would like to insert this dates and times seperately into the table. thats is, getting a table as an exact image of the extract we receive. What data type do I choose to save just the time.
I can only see 'date' data type where I can have both date and time. But can't find anything just for time.
The main use of this time(s) saved seperately in the table is , I can then easily display it in reports.
The report the users want has got fields like transport start time, duty start time etc..
If you can't save time seperately in the database table, then can somebody suggest a way of saving it in table (in the method available)and then getting the time seperated out into the report.
Currently the users use macro on excel to get this reports and formatting a cell to 'time' is simple.
    Any suggestions welcome.
    Regards
    Liza

    Varad,
I have been trying to get this date-time issue in different areas in my application.
From csv to table its working (once I got dates in the extract adjusted to '02mar2009' format).
Now I have manipulation to do on this datetime.
Say I have datetime1, to get datetime2 I have to get datetime1 and reduce some minutes.
I got the time part into l_temp after reducing the minutes.
    datetime2 :=to_date(sysdate || l_temp,'dd-mon-yyyy hh24mi');
It gives an error saying 'literals doesn't match format string' (both at sql command and PL/SQL in apex
    I even tried datetime2 :=to_date(to_char(sysdate,'dd-mon-yyyy') || l_temp,'dd-mon-yyyy hh24mi');
gets the same error in apex but this works fine in sql command.
    But if I put datetime2 :=to_date('02mar09' || l_temp,'dd-mon-yyyy hh24mi');
Do you know why? Can you suggest something?
Obviously, I can't hard code it. I have read the date from table1 and write it to table 2 with after this manipulation.
    Any suggestion?
    regards
    Liza

  • Export Report times out - how do I export all my customers?

We have about 35,000 customers in our BC database.
I'm trying to export them for use in a direct mailing campaign (and other reports for other reasons) but the export always times out.
The reports are very simple; ie.
Custom Report -> Add customer report
    Select Customers (Contacts & Companies)
Select CRM ID, Customer Name, Default Address Type
    Next
    Generate report (no filters)
About 33,000 results are in the report.
I then select Export Report as CSV or Excel and it will sit there for up to an hour or more and do nothing.
    Notes:
I keep the session live by having a login in another tab.
Have tried differenty browsers and internet connections.
I even filtered the results (based on create date) and same problem occurred with just 15,000.
How can I export this report and other simple reports I need?
    Regards,
    Troy.

After Sanjit took a look at this it turns out all I needed to do was to save the report before exporting the results. The export was much quicker and, now we have more cutomers in our database, it actually exports!
    Thanks again Sanjit.
    Troy.
