Just installed Lion and the Magic TrackPad and I am having a problem with one click commands. I have to hit the pad fairly hard with one finger to get it to accept the command. Is this normal, is there another way that I am suppose to execute commands?

No you just need to turn on Tap to Click. Go into System Preferences - Trackpad and click the Point to Click tab and select the first box which will say Tap to Click and you should be in business.

You can not merge accounts.
Apps are tied to the Apple ID used to download them, you can not transfer them. -

This profile fix suggested by apple as a workaround to set calibrated profiles is most un Apple like, I have to do this preference/colur fix every time I boot, Is there a better way to have my preferred profile boot too !
Are you in fact using 10.7.3? The article you link to was for a once-off problem after an upgrade to 10.6.3.
How did you make the custom profile? I would suggest deleting any non-Apple profiles, remake your profile, and see does it auto-load on boot.
If it doesn't, then immediately after boot run console.app and scan through the console messages from the boot process and see are any relevant ones being posted. Then repost your problem details in one of the 10.7 (Lion) forums. -

As I have said in the title, I was supposed to do a restore on my iPad for work. I backed up the device and then I restored it to factory settings as I was instructed. Now that all of that is complete, I tried to restore it from the back up point I created and it will not recognize my Apple ID password. I really hope that I won't lose all of my data, but I don't know what else to do. I have tried entering my password numerous times. I really hope that someone can help me.Restoring an iPad from an iTunes-generated backup should not require an Apple ID password.
Did you encrypt the iPad backup? If so, then trying to restore will require entering the encryption password. -
Why a magic mouse divours batteries? Why does it loose connection evey few minutes? Can I have it replaced?

Just idly thinking about your post mentioning you had only had it for 4 or 5 days. Such a problem rarely gets better with time, were you suggesting you hoped it would improve, in other words?
I can see you are now aware of the packing option but if you are using Apple, Duracell or Energiser batteries packing it out should not be necessary. Any other batteries I cannot speak for.
One buys Apple because of its' reputation against other products; you will be helping to maintain that by asking for an exchange. You will feel better for it, and speak better of it.
Forgive me if the opinion is a touch biased; I've been very lucky with my iMac purchase and the only exchange I ever made only enhanced my view of Apple; it went so smoothly.

I just upgraded to Lion and also bought a magic trackpad, i knew i had to install the magic trackpad and multitouch update but did'nt know that i had to before upgrading to Lion, now that i have Lion the trackpad update says that it doesn't support Lion. Is there gonna be a new update or may be i didn't download the right one but can't find any other,
I was facing the same problem with my iMac late 2008! Magic trackpad wouldn't recognize 4 fingers gesture to enter in mission control in the vertical, but changed between desktops using 4 fingers gesture in the horizontal! Besides that, magic trackpad wouldn't let me drag icons or drag windows to move them around! I tryed doing what Tommie expleined and it worked! Both issues were solved! Thanks!

Just wondering if anyone is using the magic trackpad with Logic. I was thinking of getting it; I love the multitouch gestures on my laptop. But I'm wondering what people's experience has been with the magic trackpad and Logic specifically. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I have it... but have not updated to 10.6.4.
It does move the pointer around really well... as soon as Avid confirm use of 10.6.4 with Pro Tools (my main DAW) then I'll be able to use it for surround panning, etc...

Am I the only one who finds the Macbook Pro trackpad to be completely useless? I was looking forward to using all the neat multi-touch gestures when I first got my MBP but now I'm struggling just to use it as a normal trackpad.
Pinching and rotating was nice at first but after a while, the accidental input got in the way of productivity. It got to the point where the trackpad was either too sensitive or not sensitive enough so I disabled those actions altogether. Also, it was never as precise as I needed it to be. If I tried rotating an object 90˚, I would only be able to rotate it to 89˚ or 91˚.
Now, even simple manipulation is becoming a chore. Sometimes the object that I'm dragging is released prematurely, even though my finger is still pushing down on the trackpad. Soft clicking (tapping on the trackpad) is often too sensitive.
The good news is that these are all software/firmware issues. In the meantime, if anyone has at least a temporary fix, I would appreciate it.
ThanksThe Pinch Open & Close feature can easily be turned off (I keep it turned off most of the time), and for rotating images, virtually every program that can display them can rotate them exactly 90° or 180° with one click on a button or in a menu. There's no reason to use the trackpad for precision rotations. It sure is great for in-between, casual rotations, though.
It took me about two weeks to get used to the multitouch trackpad when I got my MBP, and now I can't believe I ever got along without it. When I bought a 27" Cinema Display recently, I got a Magic Trackpad with it, and without changing a single trackpad setting, it automatically just worked perfectly with the huge new screen. I used to use a graphics tablet for photo retouching, but I can do it just as precisely with the Magic Trackpad and have that much less clutter on my desk. And when I'm on the go, there's no readjustment to using the built-in trackpad: the transition from one trackpad to the other is completely seamless and transparent. I don't even notice the difference. -
My computer is a MacBook Pro using the Magic Trackpad and unfortunately I also have had to purchase a Windows 8 computer to teach Windows 8 touch gestures. I would much rather use the Trackpad which I have fallen in love with, on the new Win 8 machine.

iPadProfit will show on itunes front summary page the date of last backup, but you can also find it in preferences, by going to edit - preferences - devices - you will see all of your backups.

I have just done the same upgrade to Windows7 and I have no sound from the headphone jack. Also when I plug into it, I don't get the old Realtek Audio evaluation screen for audio setup.
However I do not use headphones, as I have been using a RCA jack to plug from the headphones output jack to
a portilble shortwave radio that I have utilized the 6 inch woofer for the past three years since buying the laptop new, for better output and base sound from the radio speaker while simultaneously running the stereo built-in speakers on the laptop.
Can someone tell me that I should just update the laptop audio card by re-installing the original Realtek Audio Driver? Is that easily accessible here in the official Toshiba site? Also if possible, please inform me of other driver updates that would most likely need re-installation processes after this Windows 7 update.

Yes you can have multiple Bluetooth devices connected simultaneously. I believe you have have up to 7 BT devices at one time.

Just installed Lion and now my trackpad will not zoom in and out and the direction of going up and down have reversed.
I have had Lion since it was first released July 20th, and I have noticed that I can not zoom in on everything that is on the internet, some things seem to not be able to be zoomed in on. Are you saying that no matter what website you go to (this one for eample) the zoom function does not work?

Having just purchased a new iMac with a wireless keyboard and magic mouse, I want to add a keypad and I'm looking at purchasing the Magic Trackpad with the Mobee Magic Numpad overlay (and connecting it to the keyboard with the Twelve South Magic Wand).
What I need to know is - if using the Magic Trackpad, can I still use the Magic Mouse at the same or must it be one or the other (would there be any conflicts)?Yes, they can both be enabled at the same time as can the keyboard.
