Just purchased a macbook air and forgot password while transferring files

While attempting to transfer profiles from my Mac to Macbook, the wrong profile that has gone unused waas the only one transfered.  Needless to say I forgot the password of that profile.  I thought it was the same but the passsword doesn't work.  Any idea how to reset the computer so I can start over?

it would be helpful to know what version of OS X you are running on the mac you need to reset the password on. YOu have iOS 5.1.1 listed, but that is for iPhones, iPads etc.  You should update it to reflect what version of OS X you are running to prevent further confusion.
