Just thinking

Question

It's amazing to think I have been working with DPS since the early days of the Pre-release software, and now about to hit my 2 year anniversary of my Pro licence. I won't renew the pro licence this year, not because of the cost or any negative reason, it's just that I'm not a magazine publisher, and I have the single edition via Creative Cloud. So everything that I create for myself and others, can be done with single edition.
But ideally I would like gold support, and yes I would like a bit of analytics, but the highly interactive reports that I create, or the engaging "brochure apps" that clients love, or my kids education apps, etc dont need all the bells and whistle's that are included for big and small magazine publishers.
So I doubt I'm alone here in thinking  there is a gap here for a "creative licence" a licence for the creative agencies that dont need or want to buy 10,000 downloads, that maybe want extra built in features that our friends at "HtmlStacker" are tying to bring to life (have a look at www.htmlstacker.com)
In theory Adobe have saved me a fortune, Creative Cloud is excellent, and now I dont need a pro licence, but I want to pay more :-) I want to be a "pro" I want to have a differentiator to anyone that has a Creative Cloud membership.
As we approach the 2 year anniversary of the official launch of the paid for licence, I salute Adobe and the team for the amazing work that you have put into the product. I look forward to many more years, and hope that most of the major ground work and functionality for publishers has been achieved, so that more attention can be focussed building in more stable "widgets" into DPS  - being able to have html versions of the current flash animation would be a great start - the amount of times I'd like to have text swipe in, but dont just because or the time it takes to go out to Edge Animate etc, I can't tell you!
But HTMLStacker is where I'd like DPS to move to (although equally be happy to buy the functionality from them, if it gets stable)
So I hope lots of people take the time to read this, and more importantly comment, I like to think this is a very positive post, it's meant to be.
What better news to say, hey your product is great (most of the time :-)) you've saved me loads of money, but I want to pay you more, if there was a slightly different solution.
Any thoughts?

I have to say that there is a huge amount you can do with DPS at the moment if you use, and are creative with, webviews, ie animated html. So you shouldnt have any issues getting a one off eManual etc approved by Apple, everything that I have created over the last 2 years (all bar 2 quarterly magazines) are one off's. Hence why I can get away with single issue.
If you are not already familiar with Edge Animate, then you should  - it's a great too, albeit with its own flaws, but again it's still pretty new!
So it's not that you can't do stuff, but at times it takes a lot of work to achieve it - which is why do doubt magazines don't do as much as they could, because they just dont have the time.
However when you are creating a one off "App" you can afford more time and money to create dgood stuff. It would just be great in we had a few more bells and whistles built in to DPS to help us guys be more efficient, and for those extra inbuilt features I would happily pay more. :-)
Hope that gives you the encouragment and reassurance to go and create something cool with DPS and get it published!
