Ive just been on BT.com to check my account and im getting charged my 1st month when im still waiting on my installation/activation date!!! 24 days since order and counting this is getting beyond the joke ofcom(CISAS) here i come. Unbelievable

Just when I thought the service couldn't get any worse...
I "upgraded" to 150Mb fios last September. Since then I've experienced consistent Internet service interruptions.
My calls to Verizon service tech support have been met with their replacing my router, ONT box, and continued assurances the issue would be resolved quickly. The latest time consuming interaction occurred this morning when their tech support engineer told me they would be working on the problem today.
Now I don't have phone dial tone. Could that be related to either verizon trying to fix the problem or perhaps some tech support guy being a bit vindictive?
I'm also wondering how much longer it will be, beyond the 30 minutes I've aloready been sitting on hold, before I can talk to someone at Verizon about the phone issue.Same here. I upgraded awhile back to HS and have had problems with drops. However, it has become much worse. While watching a movie(s) from Amazon.com via Roku (wireless connection). The connection some time slows down until the movie freezes and I have to go out and return. Most of the time the connection just drops. I get a message from the Roku player to check my connection. I try several times without success. Then I notice the Internet connection light just goes out. Turn off/on the router "hope" the Internet light comes back on. After severe power off/power on it might stay on.
I had to do this so many times last night I just gave up watching the movie. I ended up connecting the Roku directly to the router with a cable. This worked better but the connection still went down twice. Very, very frustrating. I hesitate calling Tech Support because their "send a signal" very seldom works. Then they offer to send out a tech (with me possibly getting charged). Finally, the noise on my phones (yes using the filter on both) is so bad along with the "false rings" I just unplug the phones. -

I just started a topic here; http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2148155&tstart=0 about my problems with my machine, but now a new thing has turned up that may or may not be related...
all of a sudden now I cannot copy files from my main disk to my 2nd internal drive. It comes up with the unexpected error, error code 8065.
A Google search on that says it's an old problem that was resolved many moons ago.
However I can copy files from the 2nd drive to the main drive no problem, but it will not let me copy from the main to the 2nd.
What is going on!?

Both drives are formatted the same. All of a sudden, after running a repair disk with disk utility while booted up from the Mac OS X 10.4 install DVD, (at which it could not repair it) I had problems with it. Minutes before I was able to copy a file to the drive no problem, only after running first aid on the drive and restarting the problems occurred.
However, that being said.
It fixed itself after I restarted into Safe Boot and restarted back to normal mode. While in Safe Boot mode, it still gave me the same error as before when trying to copy a file to the drive. I thought all was lost but then I restarted the computer back into normal mode.. and now all of a sudden like magic it is working again, and I can drag and drop and copy and paste into the drive as before

MY iPhone4 is connected to wi-fi, and all is fine at home. When i leave home, i do not get any of my whatsapp messages. When i return home, i get all the messages than was send during the day. Why does my phone not use the cellular network to get my whatsapp messages as my Nokia N8 did?
This is my first iPhone, so i am having some troubles setting everything up!Please make sure that you are connected to the internet. There sould be a "3G or LTE or 4G or E symbol on the top left corner of the screen, if data is available to you.
Whatsapp uses data services to send and receive messages. You need to be connected to the internet for that. -
ITunes says that the IPod software is updated but my IPod shows a picture of a USB Cord and the ITunes circle.
Maybe:
Restore loop (being prompted to restore again after a restore successfully completes)
Troubleshoot your USB connection. If the issue persists, out-of-date or incorrectly configured third-party security software may be causing this issue. Please follow Troubleshooting security software issues. .
Next try placing in DFU mode and then restoring.

I created a GIFT file with 25 questions, but when I import into Captivate 8.0.1.242 I can only see the first 5 questions. I have triple-checked my import file for any syntax or other problems, but it seems perfectly fine.
Any ideas?The info on Adobe's online help needs to be updated. You must save your text file in UTF-8 format, otherwise only the first five questions will be imported.

Couldn't get any info about that - graphic card
Well i want to buy another MacBook this time for my son..but there is a problem. He wants only MackBook (not the PRO one) becouse it is small 13". All specifications are great, but the graphic card isnt good for him (Intel gfx).
So my question .. is there any chance to change that gfx to GeForce 8600??
Does any1 know that??The MacBook comes with a GMA 950 chipset for graphics. It is not upgradeable. To get better graphics he will need the MacBook Pro.

hi i have a x-fi sound card that i just bought and when i do channel test thing my left speaker is lower than my right speaker... and when i play anything im not getting any sound from either speakers... so when i test my speakers i can hear it say left channel right channel but the left channel is so much lower than my right channel can anybody help me plz ty

When I got my ipod I made an account with iTunes right from my ipod.Yesterday, I made a password lock to get into my ipod and I couldn't get into it even though I did the correct one. Now it says"connect to iTunes" BUT I can't because I never registered on the computer. I've tried holding the home and sleep/wake button for 10 sec and then only the home for 5sec and that might have reset it, but it didn't help. If any of you guys know what to do so I can unlock it I would appreciate it VERY much.

When trying to logout, I keep getting "the application safari canceled logout" even though I am not in Safari. This only recently started happening and I'm wondering if it is a setting issue or bug. Can someone tell me what to do?
You don't have to be "in" Safari for it to cancel logout.
You have several different Applications open, and any one of them may cancel logout if conditions are just right.
Quit the Applications you are no longer using and your Mac will run better and faster. And it will logout instead of cancelling. -
I uninstalled logic because it kept crashing. But when i try to reinstall it get to the 3rd disk and says it couldn't be installed. Does anyone know of any reasons this might be?

This is where a HD clone is so important, ...
Time Machine can do nothing with/to a crashed / failing HD.
Like refilling a gumball machine with a hole in the bottom, ....futile.
At least your vital data is backed up. Look into getting a new internal HD. Very cheap fix $65 for a new HD.
If you have Apple care on your 2011 macbook, contact them for repair/ HD replacement. -
I just bought a new computer and had files transferred along with itunes to the new computer. I can't get it to work. It doesn't recognize the extensions for itunes. I also tried downloading Quicktime and couldn't get it to download.

I know a tab history is kept, just don't remember where or how to exercise it. ThanksFirefox 4 saves the previous session automatically, so there is no longer need for the dialog asking if you want to save the current session.<br />
Use "File > Exit" or "Firefox > Exit" if you want to restore multiple windows.<br />
You can use "Firefox > History > Restore Previous Session" to get the previous session at any time.<br />

Clean Install of Snow Leopard
Be sure to make a backup first because the following procedure will erase
the drive and everything on it.
1. Boot the computer using the Snow Leopard Installer Disc or the Disc 1 that came
with your computer. Insert the disc into the optical drive and restart the computer.
After the chime press and hold down the "C" key. Release the key when you see
a small spinning gear appear below the dark gray Apple logo.
2. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue
button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
After DU loads select the hard drive entry from the left side list (mfgr.'s ID and drive
size.) Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window. Set the number of
partitions to one (1) from the Partitions drop down menu, click on Options button
and select GUID, click on OK, then set the format type to MacOS Extended
(Journaled, if supported), then click on the Apply button.
3. When the formatting has completed quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed
with the OS X installation and follow the directions included with the installer.
4. When the installation has completed your computer will Restart into the Setup
Assistant. Be sure you configure your initial admin account with the exact same
username and password that you used on your old drive. After you finish Setup
Assistant will complete the installation after which you will be running a fresh
install of OS X. You can now begin the update process by opening Software
Update and installing all recommended updates to bring your installation current.

Are you trying to call yourself to test FaceTime? If so, you must have a second E-Mail address registered with your Apple ID. In other words, there must be a different E-Mail address on each unit.
