K550 won't print graphics - Help!

Working great till one day suddenly stopped printing graphics.  Prints text copy fine.  Photos, clip art, etc missing from print.  Ran Diagnostics - okay; ran Configuration page - okay.   Laptop prints fine when connected to another printer,  which eliminated a 'computer' issue; definately a printer setting problem.   Help!!  I'm out of warranty :-(

As near as I can tell, the printer is not the problem. I have tried three different printers, all with the most up-to-date drivers, and even tried Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro, which should bypass all of the above. The graphic elements that worked perfectly in my previous system simply disappear in Snow Leopard. My workaround is to send them to an "older" Mac NOT running Snow Leopard, then convert them to PDF files, then print from Snow Leopard, and all is well. Absolutely frosted! I have publishing deadlines to meet!

  • Canon IP7250 - Color won't print - Please help

    I have a Canon IP7250, two day ago, my printer showed me error C000. I resolved this error, but now my printer won't printing in colour. Black working properly. I tried many times to cleaning a toner in mainteace. When I go to "print head alignment" then shows error 2500. ? In nozzle check black colour is excellent but no other colors on paper.
    Please, help me.
    Thanks.

    Again, the username/password, would either be your logon username/password or your "root" username/password if you have enabled it.
    Another option would be to update your CUPS software. Multi-functional printers are usually "tricky" to get full-featured drivers for. It's possible that a newer version for this particular printer may exist with an update.
    Still another option (and possibly a better one) would be to download and install the latest Gutenprint printer drivers. These were formally known as Gimp-Print drivers. (ref: http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net/MacOSX.php3)

  • Snow Leopard won't print graphics in Word 2008

    When I updated to Snow Leopard and Office 2008, everything seemed to work perfectly, open, and run well. However, my .doc files previously created in Office X that include graphics from the draw program will print ONLY text and text boxes--no graphics. I get the same in compatibility mode (.doc), when I "save as" to DocX format, and when I try to save as a PDF--text floating in a sea of non-graphic white. I sent the file to my husband's computer running Leopard, and it prints perfectly. Similarly, if I open Word 2008 and create a fresh, native docx file with graphics, those graphics DO print. So this seems to be a Snow Leopard problem with compatibility Word files using graphic elements (nothing fancy--just flow chart stuff.) Any ideas anyone? I am a small educational publisher and do NOT relish the thought of redoing a boatload of work in another program. Help!

  • Hp laserjet 1012 won't print - need help

    Nothing in spooler. Spooler cleared.  Can't print.

    My hp laserjet 1012 was printing very well for the last two years. Three days back, in the print I suddenly saw a big blank streak indicating that the printer cartridge may be exhausted. After that, it is not printing anymore on print command.  Yellow light has been flashing all the time.So I went out and bought the printer cartridge recommended, namely, Q 2612A. I have put it in. Still it appears not to have gotten back to the green print mode.
    Any comments/suggestions? Everything looks okay otherwise.

  • Pro 8: Forms button "Print" won't print! Help?

    Hi ,
    I made an button by choosing Forms/Forms tool/Button Tool and filled out color/text size etc and choose from the list: Actions/ Mouse Up/Add... and in the list I selected "File>Print..." So far all looks well. I save the file and select the hand tool and click my button but nothing happens. I have a printer and it works fine.
    Any suggestions? I would prefer to have it print only the current page if possible.
    I use Acrobat Pro 8 for Win.
    Thanks!

    I get the same result. That is strange. If I use ctrl-P, then the print window comes up. That is what I think you are expecting from the action option you have set. I have not been able to get it to work either in AA7. That seems strange. Bill

  • I cannot cancel a print job, cannot print or restart print so other jobs won't print. any help?

    I cannot cancel print job or restart, so I cannot print new job. How do I clear this off?

    Hi,
    From the Control Panel, open Administrative Tools and select Sevices.  Browse down to the print spooler service, right click it and select Properties then click on the Stop button.  Now browse to C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS and delete the job inside this folder - You may need to click a prompt to gain the appropriate authority to open the PRINTERS folder.
    Restart the computer and you should find the document(s) have been removed.

    Sorry, I'm new to the Mac world. I recently got a new IMAC and installed my Epson CX5800F printer and it worked fine. Then a few weeks later I installed Windows7 through Bootcamp and I think it reconfigured a port or something and now I get a communication error and it won't print. Can anyone help me with this problem, and/or help me get the port back the way it was? Thanks, Barry

  • HP Officejet pro 8500 won't print and keeps asking for a proxy setting. Help.

    HP Officejet pro 8500 won't print and keeps asking for a proxy setting. Help.

    Hi,
    Can you confirm that you have an Officejet 8500a or Officejet 8500? On the 8500a model, you can set the networks proxy address and port setting from the front panel of the printer (setup>Webservices setup>proxy). If you are unsure what your proxy settings are you'll need to contact your network admin. If your network uses a proxy users name and password for all devices, you need to enter this information along with the proxy address and port in the printers embedded web server. Type the products IP address into an internet brownser window (printer must be connected to the same network as PC). Select the network tab, and than look for the proxy settings option. Enter in the information and click apply. Once the networks proxy information has been correctly inputed into the embedded web server, try printing again. If unsuccessfully, you might try reinstalling the printer software after uninstalling it. Hope this helps!

    if (offGraphics2D == null) return;
    // Paint the backgroung

    double hscale = pf.getImageableHeight()/ this.getHeight();
    g2.scale(wscale, hscale);
    g2.translate(pf.getImageableX(), pf.getImageableY());

  • HELP - Trim marks in bleed area won't print

    Using Illustrator CS3 I have imposed an item 8up on the artboard with manually created trim and score lines within the bleed area. For some reason the lines will not print.
    - I have checked the attributes and the lines have not been selected as non-printing items.
    - I have created the lines with the line tool in registration colour and placed them 2mm away from the edge of the artboard.
    - In the print setup I checked the page trim marks on.
    - In the print setup I set the bleed to 5mm and when that did not show the manual trim lines I even tried 10mm.
    - When the document prints the only trim marks that appear are the page size crop marks applied during print setup.
    - The objects overlapping from the artboard into the bleed area print but the trim lines that do not touch the artboard won't print.
    I have previously been using CS2 and this method has been working fine until I upgraded to CS3. Has anything changed? Why is this no longer working? Is there a preference somewhere that tells illustrator to not print items that don't touch the artboard?
    Can someone please help as this is causing me lots of problems.

    Thanks for your quick response and link.
    While I was searching for a solution to this problem I actually posted on that site with another solution for importing files into InDesign with bleed. (Anonymous said... 2/15/2008 1:42 AM)
    I do find your post helpful for printing illustration files placed in Indesign. However is there no solution to printing directly from illustrator apart from increasing the document size?
    Is the bug only recent to CS3? I could print directly from Illustrator CS2 and the lines and bleed would print.
    If I group all of the trim / score lines would they print then?
    I don't understand why this has changed. How painful.

  • Ipad won't print after io7 even tho it finds printer, tried everything pls help!

    I'm guessing, but it seems that after updating with io7 my ipad/printer won't print! It finds the printer no problem ( it's an HP office jet 6500A plus) but nothing happens when I press print! I've tried through different apps, turning router. Ipad and printer off then on again and reset network settings on both ipad and printer but to no avail!! I can find my way around ipad basics but am no techie, so am hoping it's something simple and I'm just being blonde...or is it a flaw with the io7? Any advice much appreciated! Than you :)

    Hello Stormie9,
    Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing when printing from your iPad.  You have taken some really good steps already to isolate and troubleshoot the issue.
    I found an additional resource with a few more steps.  You can skip any steps you have already taken, but step 3 specifically stands out for the issue you described:
    If you are unable to print, or if you see the message "No AirPrint Printers Found"
    Verify that the printer:
    Has power and is turned on. If it has power, turn the printer off and then on again to see if that resolves the issue.
    Is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the iOS device.
    Has the latest firmware version installed.
    Has paper with enough ink or toner installed.
    Is free of any errors displayed on the printer's control panel.
    If necessary, consult the printer documentation or contact the printer vendor for help with the above steps.

  • Macbook pro recognizes but won't print with hp desk jet 5550. Help!

    macbook pro recognizes but won't print with hp desk jet 5550. Help!

    Hi, I used the Mac setup instructions, not the PC ones.  The printer was automatically recognised in print and scan when I connected it with a USB cable.  I accessed the server's web-based page and followed all the instructions, but still no joy.  Thanks for the tip about posting.  I have just posted in the section you suggested, so let's see what happens.  From a quick scan around the apple forums, lost of other people seem to having precisely the same problem (and not just with HP printers!), but unfortunately, no-one seems to be offering a solution!  And trying to get through to the apple online support is a complete waste of time.  They've been 'not available' for two days now.  Christmas/New Year shutdown, I suppose.  Thanks for all your help, though!
