K8N+SLI Mode - Need help

Hello,
I was going to buy the second graphic card for my computer to work in SLI Mode. Nowadays I am using:
MSI GeForce 6600 128MB DDR3/128 bit TV/DVI/VIVO PCI-Express (8979-06S)(NX6600-VTD128E Diamond)
so I went to the shop, in which I always buy computer parts and got there an information that this card is no more available
The only two models of MSI Graphic cards (based on 6600 chipset) that are available are:
MSI GF 6600 128MB/128b TV/DV PCI-E MS-8981-Z02
And
MSI GeForce 6600GT 128MB DDR3/128bit TV/DVI PCI-Express (8983-010) (NX6600GT-TD128E)
Will any of the mentioned card work with my MSI GeForce 6600 128MB DDR3/128 bit TV/DVI/VIVO PCI-Express (8979-06S)(NX6600-VTD128E Diamond)?

try to boot with 2 memory sticks only, when using 4 sticks setup memory index to 333. (Winchester core had bad mem. controller on it aswell, it may not handle 4 sticks property)
Clear CMOS Guide
and re-test.
next thing is your PSU, doesn't look to have enough juices for your VGA. VGA min req.(over 30A on +12V for single rail, over 22A for dual rail +12V by ATI)
your PSU got +12V1 17A, +12V2 17A

By "sos mode" do you mean recovery mode? If so, you have to connect it to iTunes and restore it.

1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
3. Repeat the process if necessary.

SLI GTX460 Need help

Hi All I am new to this so if anyone out there can help me it would be appreciated. i have the MSI Big-Bang Xpower M/B, and I have the Galaxy GTX460 768MB Graphics card, I also have as a second card the Zotac GTX460 768MB card and i cant seem to get this working on SLI, I dont see anything in the Bios settings, and i have all the latest up dates on my Motherboard. I tried the 2 x SLI Bridges I got with my M/B, I also got a new SLI bridge from a friend....its just not running SLI, Both cards show in the device Manager, both say they are working....If I go to the Nvidia on my PC I don't see anything on the menu that says SLI..... Now i have seen a number of possible reasons...one being the Graphics cards are by 2 different companys ?? My Galaxi GTX460 says SLI on the BOX, and the Zotac says SLI in the booklet...so i dont think thats an issue... This is of course the first time i have ever done SLI, so I am sure someone out there can help....I am running windows 7 Professional 64Bit and this gaming PC is a brand new build a few months ago... I have 12 GB RAM corsair, 1 T/B hard drive, CoolIt Liquiid Cooler, 850w Modular power supply, and last but not least the Pentium i7 950... I am open to any and all help... Newbie in Fullscreen Mode need help

i am new to writing game in java.
i used to put component to panel, set Layout, that kind of things, to deal with user response.
now writing game, a full-screen one, i think of having only a frame and a canvas that draw the whole
output. i think this is probably what simple game do. so i have a frame and one canvas in side.
1. the problem is when i set the frame to full-screen mode, the canvas didn't get to the same size. it has size of zero!! so i can't create BufferStrategy from zero height canvas. how can i solve the problem. well, i can get BufferStrategy from frame and i can draw directly to the frame, not to the canvas.but is it the way it suppose to be? shouldn't i draw to something like canvas?
2. second problem is that, with no Component in full-screen frame, i Don't get KeyEvent at all !!!! how can someone play Quake without keyboard???

I took Frame. After all Frame is a Component. So you can get KeyEvents.

Old phone stuck in recover mode need help!

Okay so I decided I was going to use my old iphone 4 again but it is stuck in recovery mode. I tried syncing it with itunes but my new iphone 5s keeps poping up and not this device. I can't get the iphone 4 to pop up so I can get it out of recovery mode. Can someone help me please?

Hmm. Do you have a PC or a Mac that you're trying to sync with?

K8n Issues i need help with

Ok my computer is acting very unstable, im not overclocking or anything and my ram will only run at 2.5 3 2 6 2t at 2.65 volts (ocz wants 2.6) 2.6 will reboot and 2.7 will reboot. I can adjust any of the timings to allow it to run i tried the 2 3 2 6 timings they wanted and the 2 cas will reboot if anyone can help please look in my signature and get back to me

PDA HP iPAQ114, RUU download mode, need help!

I am writing to you with a somewhat unusual request.
Several years ago I bought a PDA HP iPAQ114.
I decided to update the software on my PDA, but the upgrade process appeared notified about loss of communication with PDA and software update failed.
Now PDA is not defined when you turn on your computer and shows a white screen with a red inscription "RUU download mode".
A small clarification: PDA is not determined by the PC via USB
However, when you press the key combination, PDAs starts in software update mode with SD-card.
The question is whether the state of HP technical support to provide the necessary files to update the PDA software from SD-card?
Very much like to spice it up.

The problem of losing power when running the drive, is that the needle may scratch part of the drive as it lands on the platter. Sufficient power may pick it up, but it may have permanently damaged the drive. I would get the drive itself replaced.

It's the Voodoo driver that caused this kernel panic, but I would get rid of, or try to see if there's and update for, both. I have no idea what the HDA extensions are for... but they're crashing your system.

MSI K8N SLI - Freezes Randomly - Need Help!!!

Hi,
Can anybody help me? My PC keeps freezing and sometimes BSOD'ing on me and i have no idea what the hell the reason is. I've tried changing graphics drivers, sound drivers, checked for bios updates and all the usual stuff. I've had a scou around the net and these forums and quite a few people seem to be having this problem and appears to be related to the PCIe Graphics. Not sure if this is the case but a lot of peole report this. One person said it was his audigy card and on removing it the problem went away. But, I don't fancy sacrificing my audigy card for the onchip sound if I can find a work around.
Is it the motherboard at fault with the PCIe interface or the Audigy or something else? If anyone has any ideas it would be fantastic!

PLEASE HELP! Restarting issue with K8N SLI. need bios help???

I would really appreciate some help this this problem im having. It’s a bit long winded but ill try to keep it short.
My pcs spec is as follows –
MSI K8N SLI (model MS-7185) motherboard
AMD Athlon X2 64bit 4200+ cpu
4 x 512mb ram
Running with a Radeon X700 256mb graphics card.
Ever since I purchased the machine ive been having problems with the pc loading up XP (or any OS for that matter!). Sometimes it would freeze on the loading screen and sometimes it would freeze on the black screen just after the loading screen. Sometimes while running windows perfectly normally, a blue screen with writing describing the error came up and then the system restarted, however, I would only ever manage to read the title of the blue screen as the pc restarted so quickly. I remember seeing the word hardware though, so I guessed it was a serious hardware issue. I lived with this for a few months thinking it might be something im doing that’s making it be so unreliable, such as a software issue, but I recently went on a mission to sort it out. The BIOS of the motherboard was password protected and I wasn’t aware of this until I had lost contact with who I had bought the system off, so I decided to restart the motherboard’s settings by pressing the reset button on the board itself. Next time I booted it up it told me that the defaults were restored etc and continued to boot windows, however now I can hardly get windows to start at all, the system restarts on the loading screen 8 times out of 10, and if it does boot up fully then it doesn’t last long before crashing on me. I messed about with a few of the BIOS settings, but to be honest I have no experience with working with these settings, its all very new to me. I have an idea that it could be the processor or the graphics card causing the problem, just an inkling though!

The power supply is a Sweex Advanced Gold 650W [BA000110]. max currennt on 12v rail is 25A

MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum SLI sound needs -5V; newest Antec 550W has no -5V rail

I came within a whisker of ordering a non-returnable 3700 Venice, MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum SLI mobo and an upgraded Power Supply, Antec's newest 550W PS the TP2-550 EPS12V ($117). This has dual 2x24pin 12V 19A rails and is touted as the new V2.0 EPS12V/ATX12v compatible power supply for high performance SLI systems. By accident I came across a page at MSI for this mobo

At the end is this warning: MSI Reminds You...
• For this model, you must use a Power Supply which has a -5V pin supply. Also, the users manual which I downloaded on Pg 2-10 says the same thing
The above Antec PS specs do not show a -5V rail, nor does an Enermax 600W I looked at. The V2.0 specs for ATX12v which added 2x24pin 12V rails dropped -5V rail from the spec and it appears MSI is not conforming to the spec (See Antec response at end) None of the web sites selling these PS & mobos contain any warning. I vaguely recall from a forum a while back it may have something to do with the Soundblaster system in the mobo.

Isn't this a major showstopper which is going to cause a lot of grief for those of us upgrading to SLI systems using this mobo and upgrading our PS to the newest & best power design? We won't know the PS won't work until we build the system.

These are really high end, expensive and only 3-4 choices. Since I'm getting one 6800GT and eventually another & possibly eventually a 4800 X2, I was hoping the OCZ 520W would do it but computerpro3 says Powermaster 520 isn't good enough for SLI. I found that there is an OCZ 600W ATX12 dual rail which surprisingly has a -5V rail needed for K8N Neo4 SLI Soundblaster. Will this meet computerpro3's preference for a high end PS for SLI systems even though I'm losing the 1 rail advantage. Maybe the 600 Watts just overwhelms the 1 rail/2 rail question.

Wondering what you settled on. I got the Antec TP550 and it's flawless on the board. I even have the older 20pin model which works perfectly (including sound). If you really wanted what I would consider to be a top dog (pcpower and cooling), and find the -5v rail missing, all you have to do is place a phone order and request they add a -5v rail. It's a minimal cost and a total solution for having everything. Just my $0.02
