KEPM - Delete file description

Hi all,
I'm trying to upload a file, but in KE13N says that description doesn't exist, when I saved it from KEPM before uploading.
Anyone knows how to delete that description?? I wanna start the proccess again to avoid possible mistakes.

You execute the Planning Method, it would take you to the Excel front end. There Click on Setting
->Formatting
It would give the file name " " has been Generated. Now you can see
Generic File
Save the file description
Save excel layout.
If you want to change the file description, provide the name in Generic File, and then click Save the file description, you can have the new file description that you can provide in KE13n.

Assuming that JSE had some problems to access my profile (oh, how I *hate* Windows...) I wanted to change the JSE working directory to C:\Projects\Java Studio Enterprise, but I can't find the place within the Tools|Options where I can set that. Help!

Thanks for the reply. I added the -userdir option, and now it complains:
"Cannot delete file Windows2Local/Components/ComponentPalette.settings" in C:\Projects\Java Studio Enterprise\config"

Hmmm, it seems to me that - although the number of error messages has been reduced - JSE is still not very happy about something. It would be nice if it was a bit more precise in its problem description.

Go into BlackBerry Link and click on the BlackBerry and then click on Options. Make sure you have Music, Pictures, Videos and Documents checkmarked for synchronization. Once these are checked, try to remove the files.

In addition to deleting files, what can I do to speed up my MacBook?

My MacBook Pro (mid-2010 w/ 16gb of memory and 250gb hard drive) has been running really slow. I know I need to delete a ton of files as my internal disk is near full. My questions are:
My system report says the majority of disk space is being taken up by "Other". What can I delete to whittle that down?

"etrecheck" is of no use for solving this problem.
For information about the Other category in the Storage display, see this support article. If the Storage display seems to be inaccurate, try rebuilding the Spotlight index.
Empty the Trash if you haven't already done so. If you use iPhoto, empty its internal Trash first:
 iPhoto ▹ Empty Trash
Do the same in other applications, such as Aperture, that have an internal Trash feature. Then restart the computer. That will temporarily free up some space.
According to Apple documentation, you need at least 9 GB of available space on the startup volume (as shown in the Finder Info window) for normal operation—not the mythical 10%, 15%, or any other percentage. You also need enough space left over to allow for growth of the data. There is little or no performance advantage to having more available space than the minimum Apple recommends. Available storage space that you'll never use is wasted space.
When Time Machine backs up a portable Mac, some of the free space will be used to make local snapshots, which are backup copies of recently deleted files. The space occupied by local snapshots is reported as available by the Finder, and should be considered as such. In the Storage display of System Information, local snapshots are shown as Backups. The snapshots are automatically deleted when they expire or when free space falls below a certain level. You ordinarily don't need to, and should not, delete local snapshots yourself. If you followed bad advice to disable local snapshots by running a shell command, you may have ended up with a lot of data in the Other category. Ask for instructions in that case.
See this support article for some simple ways to free up storage space.
You can more effectively use a tool such as OmniDiskSweeper (ODS) or GrandPerspective (GP) to explore the volume and find out what's taking up the space. You can also delete files with it, but don't do that unless you're sure that you know what you're deleting and that all data is safely backed up. That means you have multiple backups, not just one. Note that ODS only works with OS X 10.8 or later. If you're running an older OS version, use GP.
Deleting files inside a photo or iTunes library will corrupt the library. Changes to such a library must be made from within the application that created it. The same goes for Mail files.
Proceed further only if the problem isn't solved by the above steps.
ODS or GP can't see the whole filesystem when you run it just by double-clicking; it only sees files that you have permission to read. To see everything, you have to run it as root.
Back up all data now.
Install the app in the Applications folder as usual. Quit it if it's running.
Triple-click anywhere in the corresponding line of text below on this page to select it, then copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.

Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
Paste into the Terminal window by pressing command-V. You'll be prompted for your login password.
The application window will open behind other open windows. When you scan a volume, the window will eventually show all files in all folders, sorted by size. It may take a few minutes for the app to finish scanning.
I don't recommend that you make a habit of doing this. Don't delete anything as root. If something needs to be deleted, make sure you know what it is and how it got there, and then delete it by other, safer, means. When in doubt, leave it alone or ask for guidance.
When you're done with the app, quit it and also quit Terminal.

Audit directory and searching through the logs for deleted file

But I have about 60 000 events.
My file abcd.txt is missing and I have to find who delete it, but I cant click 60 000 times to find it.
Moreover most of that event looks like its objcect open not object deleted.
How to find this particular?

You can use Custom View and XML filter to filter specific event logs. Firstly, create a custom view. Then type an XML query to filter by ObjectName (abcd.txt).

How to get Deleted File details from Content DataBase?

Hi,
I have uploaded one pdf document in to SharePoint Document Library. After some days i have removed it.
File has removed from Site.
Does record available in Content Data Base for the deleted file? Which table should i refer?

Hi,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to get the deleted file record in sql database table.
If you have backed up the Content Data Base, then you can find the deleted file information in AllDocs andAllDocStreams table. You need to use "inner join" to get the whole information.

Layout and file description doesnot match

In Profit center planning,
When I am press the overview button after entering the account numbers , version and all other details in the selection criteria,
Then I get this error
Layout and file description doesnot match. I went back and I deleted the file name in the file column and I am getting the same error.

For Planning Data Upload if Excel Integrated Planning is activated, system will generate the File Description. and system will take you to Excel where in you will save the Generic File name. (at the time of config).
Suppose if you have saved that Generic File to be "Planning1", the file name should be maintained in the same format when you upload the Planning Data. You can maintain your File Name to be Planning2 Planning3 etc (in text format).

Delete File From Mounted Volume

I am trying to delete the "Calendar Cache" files on both my laptop PowerBook G4 and the Mac Pro Quad that I sync my calendars with. I am using ChronoSync and the individual calendars sync fine, but there is a little house keeping needed with the cache file. They need to be deleted on both systems in order to "refresh" the views of the calendars.
So after the sync of calendars, I have the software initiating an AppleScript that deletes both. Here's the script:

I upload a image to the style libary folder, then i publish the file and delete him BUT the direct link to the image still work.
I try to upload anther image with the some name but when i try to browse the direct link i get to deleted file.
If i upload a image and delete it before i publish the file I don't have this problem.
I try to flush the blob cache with this commends:

To check if there is cache issue, please access the url in another PC to see if the issue persists. You could also open style library in SharePoint designer to double confirm it.
In addition, if you click the ellipsis of the image item, there will be a preview panel to show the picture, is it the newly upload one?

Delete file from folder only (not from list)

I've searched a lot and didn't succeed so far, that's why I need your help. In a cloud context, I'm actually creating and uploading files (pdf and/or xml files) "on the go" to sharepoint folders via the SOAP API and this is perfectly working. But
in a cloud context, I also need to decomission services which is translated into deleting files into Sharepoint.
That's where it became complicated, because according to the API we cannot delete files if they are not part of a list structure, which is not my case. Is that true ?
The only info I have when trying to delete a file via the SOAP Api is : its name, its folder, and the endpoint where the folder is. So my question remains simple I guess : is this possible ? If so, how to (a link to the SOAP body would be usefull)

Delete file from directory which

Hi ,
I want to delete files from a directory in Application server.
I have the file name as fn_13/07/2007.txt
Have a condition that files should be deleted which are less than 10 days.
Is there any function module to do this.
