  • Revaluate is not working for KEPM

    Dear all,
For CO-PA planning, I have set up the planning method with a layout that users only key in sales qty and revenue.
I was hoping to get planned COGS by the following step - revaluate.
For the revaluation, I have set up Valuation Strategies in KE4U and assigned to PV 03 and 04 record type F.
The revaluation is not working.  Can anyone tell me what is missing in my configuration?
I guess I don't really understand how the revaluation works.  The sales forecast is for next year.  What value does the system look for COGS?  The current standard price or planned price?
Please help me to clarify the issue.
    Thanks!

    Hi Sharon
In KEPM - You need to use the Option "Valuation" and not revaluate
Standrad cost for COGS valuation is picked from your Costing Key
You need to do settings in KE4J or KEPC and assign Costing keys to PV = 03 and 04
Also assign VF to Cost Comp Str in Ke4R for PV=03 and 04

  • In KEPM  error msg ' not all profitability segment can be processed'

    Hi
PL  HELP ME WITH  THE FOLLOWING  ERROR, when doing   'enter planning'  in KEPM.
    Message no. KG803
    Diagnosis
You cannot maintain all of the profitability segments in the current transaction. This could be due to the following:
    1. Errors occurred when characteristic values were derived for the profitability segments.
If this is the case, you can display the error messages under the menu option "Extras -> Error logs -> Derivation".
In   the   log , it says
    Diagnosis
The characteristic "PRCTR" ("Profit Center") should be posted to Profitability Analysis (CO-PA). When the system checked the entries, it was established that the transferred characteristic value (" 1000 YB999") is not valid in CO-PA.
    Thanks
    kamala

    Hi Kamala,
I would kindly ask you to check transaction OKEQN with your relevant planning version you are using in KEPM and where the above error occurs.
The system checks within derivation (where the error comes from) if the characteristic value is valid for a specific date set within the version (thus trans. OKEQN). If you have PRCTR '1000 102C511' not valid for the date set in the version within OKEQN, then this error message is justified, as the system realises that the PRCTR was not valid by that time.
Could you please check this? If the profit center is not valid for this date please adjust the date to a more recent one.

  • Integrated Planning in COPA using KEPM and loading of quantity to SOP

    Hi,
We are in process of testing integrated planning in COPA using KEPM and loading of quantity to SOP (MC87) or Transfer Qty to SOP - KE1E. I created a planning level with basic information to plan quantity on product with Period/Year, Version, Plant, Product, Record Type (F), Unit Sales Qty.
Also created Planning Package & Planning Parameter with Planning layout and entered quantity for a material which creates a profitability segment with quantity update. The problem occurs when transferring to SOP the sales quantity either using MC87 or KE1E, it goes into a loop and times out. We tried using different parameters, but ended up with same result.
Are we missing some Config/steps here, any thoughts will help.
    Satish

    Hi,
You need to transfer COPA plan to inactive version of SOP through KE1E. Thereafter, in PP, the same is transfered to active version through MC78. Thereafter it is transferred to Demand Management through MC74.
Please check with your PP consultant.

  • COPA Planning using KEPM

  • KEPM: Planning in both currency types (B0 and 10)

    Hi
I am uploading planned sales qty and revenue in KEPM... In the planning version 0, i have defined Op Concern currency (B0) which is USD
All my planned values are getting updated in the CE2XXXX table in USD only, where client wishes to see in both currency types i.e. B0 (USD) and 10 (INR)
Is it possible to update the CE2 table for both currency types in planning... In actual, The CE1XXXX table stores both the values
    Regards, Ajay

    For Copying the Plan;
    1. Use the planning method provided in KEPM, listed as Copy.
    2. Use Reference Fields for Periods same which is in the Planning Data. If Planned data (Version 0, presumed) has 12 periods, the reference periods would be 001.2008 to 012.2008.
    3. Select (Radio Button) Plan Version wherein 0.
Save your planning method of Copy.
It's up to you whether you use Ad-Hoc method or define a permanent one.
    Hope this helps.

  • KEPM : general overview not selectable

    Hi All,
If I run KEPM the general overview is not selectable.
I read and did everything, but not the good things! I read note 451621.
But does somebody know what to do? I spend a lot of time in autorisations and
looking in the customizing, but did not find it.
    thank you,
    eric

    HI,
To be able to see 'General Overview', you need to set-up personalization profile with 'General Overview' in authorizations tab of Personalization profile creation. Looks like, necessary authorization is missing for your profile and your SAP user Id is assigned to this profile. Only remedy now is to request other User to grant the said authorization to your profile.
    Hope this helps.

  • KEPM more than one period

    Hi All,
In CO-PA planning KEPM, I would like to use period in row instead of header.
At the same time I want to plan more than one period.
    Is it possible and how?.
    Thanks
    Regards

    Hi,
If you have too much data, then you can try uploading the plan data using KEFC transaction (Planning functions>Weekly planning).
You can upload alternative period Week (ALTPERIO) value through uplaod file.
    Hope this helps.

  • KEPM-   in  revenue planning , quantity  not planned

    Hi
In  revenue planning ,  we   plan  for  the  amount and  quantity  of  sales.   Then   we  valuate  the  quantity to get the cost of goods  based on standard cost.     Now   if   only  revenue amount is planned  and   no  quantity is  planned,  then   i  cannot  do  valuation.
My  question is  where   can  I   manually    enter  the  cost   in  KEPM  and  see the same in report in KE30   . Also  let me know  how  to do  the same.
    Thanks
    kamala

    Hi Kamala,
Activating valuation with product cost is an optional step. If you don't want to valuate sales quantity (or you are not planning quantity) with product cost, then you can manually enter the cost in planning. Include the relevant cost value field in the plan layout (using t.code KE15) and then the cost value field will be available in KEPM for you to input the data.
    Hope this helps.

  • Kepm: Pick up revenue from vk11

    a) I want to enter sales qty in kepm and want system to pick up sales revenue from sd module (vk11) or any other suitable place, but from SD.. Is it possible
    Regards

    Hi,
It is possible.  You need to define the SD valuation sequece in the valuation strategy settings. Application type 'V' and the sales pricing procedure for planning data.
    Hope this helps you.

  • KEPM Data Upload with BAPI

    Dear sirs:
I have to build a data upload program for transaction KEPM (Edit Planning Data), using the BAPI BAPI_COPAPLANNING_POSTDATA. Does anyone have a sample.
    Thanks for your help.
    Best regards,
    Dairo

    <b>FYI</b>
    FU BAPI_COPAPLANNING_POSTDATA
    Text
    Write CO-PA Planning data
    Functionality
You use this method to return planning data from Profitability Analysis back into the system. This overwrites existing planning data in the system (or, more precisely, the delta value between the old and new values is determined and updated as a line item).
You typically call up this method after reading planning data with the GetData method and making changes to it. To import the changed data back into the system, you fill the parameters SELECTEDFIELDS and SELECTION with data in the same way as you called up GetData. When data is being written, these parameters determine how the delta value between the planning data to be imported and the old planning data in the system is determined: firstly, the old planning data in the system is read in accordance with the values for the parameters SELECTEDFIELDS and SELECTION, and then the delta for the data to be imported is created.
The data to be posted is imported using the table DATA. Since this table is also used to read data with the GetData method, it should also be populated accordingly when data is imported. See also the documentation for the GetData method and for the parameter DATA for this method.
Warning: Under certain circumstances, data that is not imported but is already present in the system as an old value are canceled in this process.
If, for example, products A1 and A2 from plan version 001 are selected in the selection criterion SELECTION but table DATA only contains planning data for product A1, the planning data for A2 that is in version 001 and already in the system is canceled.

  • KEPM Excel Macros

    Hi All
In KEPM I have added a new characteristic to the planning level and to a layout(KE15), Using an existing parameter set which has integrated excel ticked I double clicked on the parameter set and the excel layout is shown on the right-hand side of the screen which shows all the columns and the new column which is populated with a GL account, now my question is where has it got this entry from?
I have not specified it in the layout or in the planning level, when I delete it and re-enter a new one and save it overwrites it with old GL! I have checked the derivations set-up and there is none for this characteristic set-up
Can anyone help guide with this query?
    thanks
    Joe

    HI,
    sounds interesting ;-)
2 things come into my mind: Is it a Set/Get parameter? Did you log off / log on and the value is appearing again (no other session is runnign) it is not.
Is it a parameter-ID in your user master record? Check it using T-code SU3.
But I guess its is none of the two optionas, maybe there are other ideas from other SCN-users.

  • KEPM   To many objects Message error no. K9071

    Hi experts,
We apply the note 319713 to solved a issue  in the transaction KE13N and was solved, the message error was K9071, but now when I try to run the planning Methods in the transaction KEPM, for example enter planning data and display planning data,  I can not, because now I have the same message error, "To Many Objets K9071.
Before applying the note I could execute the methods of planning and I could see 100% of the information by the KEPM, because  I upload multiple files with less than 9,998 records by the TX KE13N, but now I can not run anything.
Someone can help me to fix the error.
    Thanks.
    MSS

The error message is well known and I don't think it has anything to do with applying the note.
I think the problem lies in the fact that before making your recent uploads you just had less data to display. Thus 9999 cells were sufficient to show all the existing plan data. AFter you uploaded additional data through KE13N, the selection you make in KEPM would now have to show more data which cannot be displayed in 9999 cells any more because there are more combinations of characteristics which already have plan data.
Usually when this error message appears, the only solution is to make more restrictive selections in KEPM or use several layouts with less key figures (columns) to reduce the number of cells to be displayed.
