Key Figure 0AMOUNT in buckets per CALMONTH

Hi all,
I have 2 key figures 0AMOUNT and PO value which I am using in columns.
They want to see 0AMOUNT in buckets per 0CALMONTH. So I dropped 0CALMONTH also in columns.
Now I can see 0AMOUNT per 0CALMONTH buckets wise. It also comes for PO value.
Can I avoid the 0CALMONTH buckets for PO value. They want to see only for 0AMOUNT in buckets.

Can't be done, unless you create selection for each month for AMount

Hi fellow BWers, hope you can help with this report requirement.
Manual input variable : 0CALMONTH.
Is it possible to restrict a key figure (0amount) like this on-the-fly: 
If 0calmonth in input variable > 0calmonth in transaction data
then restrict 0amount with 0calmonth from input variable
else restrict 0amount with 0calmonth from transaction data
It's a must-have requirement to do it 'on the fly', not in the ETL.

In order to get the 0calmonth from the transaction data, i need to :
1. display the lowest granularity in the rows (so that calmonth is unique)
2. then use formula variable with replacement path on the infoobject 0CALMONTH to get the value from transaction data?
Is this correct?
If yes...since the user does not want the lowest granularity in the report, he wants result pr. profit center, this will happen if I take 'No display' on the characteristics :
Profit center A || 20
Profit center A || 30
Profit center A || 10
Profit center B || 15
Question How do I get the total pr. profit center, despite having all the other characteristics (hidden) in the row?

Convert key figure model into account model

Hi experts,
I'm trying to extract data from table GLPCP, which is based on the account model, i.e. every month in the table is represented by a column:
PC - ACC - AMTJAN - AMTFEB - AMTMAR etc
123 1000 100      120      110
Whereas in BW the data should look like this (key figure model):
PC - ACC - PER - AMT
123 1000 01    100
123 1000 02    120
123 1000 03    110
What would be the most elegant way to do this?
I think I would have to do the conversion in the Start Routine of the Transfer Rules?
As I'm a hopeless case when it comes to ABAP, any code examples would be highly appreciated!

Hi Martin,
You can use result table functinality in routines of update rules.
Assuming 0COSTELMNT and 0AMOUNT are the target fields
in your cube, value1, value2, value3 represent fields
form flat file/commstructure code for 0AMOUNT could be like this :
RESULT_TABLE-Amount = COMM_STRUCTURE-Value1.
RESULT_TABLE-COSTELMNT = 'training fee'.
append RESULT_TABLE.
RESULT_TABLE-Amount = COMM_STRUCTURE-Value2.
RESULT_TABLE-COSTELMNT = 'salary'.
append RESULT_TABLE.
RESULT_TABLE-Amount = COMM_STRUCTURE-Value3.
RESULT_TABLE-COSTELMNT = 'comp'.
append RESULT_TABLE.
So you generate 3 records for Infoprovider from one out of commstructure.

Dynamic choose which key figure to be showed on query

Hi, everybody.
I'm trying to build a query where, based on the user selection (maybe a variable input) the key figure A or B is showed. The key figure, due design requirements, is restricted in several lines inside a structure on query.
For example, the structure seems like this:
+Sold Quantity (restricted key figure: 0QUANTITY)
+Revenue (restricted key figure: 0AMOUNT + DOC_TYPE = 'XYZ')
+Returns (restricted key figure: 0AMOUNT + DOC_TYPE = 'ABC')
What I want is, depending on a user input, change the key figure restricted in 2nd and 3rd rows to oher, for example, ZAMOUNT.
Any tips or any idea if it is possible?

You can do it by using the basic formula <user input> * 0amount + <user input inverse> * zamount.
you can create that formula in calculated key figures.
here the user should be able to enter <user input> only 0 or 1...where 0 will give zamount values ....input value 1 will allow 0amount value to be shown..suppressing the other keyfigure.

Statistical Progress Key Figures

Hello Community!
I had a problem with the creation of the Statistical Progress Key Figures; in order to perform the progress analysis at (PS) I need to determinate the statistical key figures in which the percentages of completion (POCs) are recorded. This settings are created per controlling area (CO). At the moment to record this key figures an error occur, that the Key figure is incorrect due that the unit of percentage is not defined correctly.
Who can help me with this matter?
What is the best way to define unit of percentage for progress analysis?

The solution to this case was based on the Percentage Unit of Progress. This unit were created at the Tr. CUNI and regarding the ISO Unit (SAP Note 576981)
With this attributes the Key figure is configured at per Controlling Area and assigned to the Progress Analysis.
The Unit test is correct!

Query key figures calculation issue

Dear Sap Gurus,
I would like to calculate the sum of one key figure on the month m-3 m-2 and m-1
I have created 3 restricted key figures filtered by month m-3, m-2 and m-1
i have created a key figures one which one I sum these 3 key figures but the result per month is not egal to the summation but to the value per month
on the example below

Create one RKF based on your key figure,
go t property of RKF and mark constant selection.
now in this field you can see the sum of key figure field.
and you can use it for formula.

Key figures enhancement in 0imfa_1 from 0co_om_opa_1

Hi all,
we need to enhance 0imfa_1 with two new key figures. They get the value from 0fiscper according to some rules on 0vtype. Fill is from 0co_om_opa_1.
We insert the code in update rules but it doesn't work, meaning that we have duplicate record for an order:
1. one record has 0amount and 0prog_pos just filled with right values, but no value for two new key figures;
2. second record has values for new key figures, but no values for 0amount and 0prog_pos.
our target would be to have two new key figures, 0amount and 0prog_pos all filled for the same record.
So we try to modify standard code in 0amount rule, but no good result came on:
we try to fill two new key figures in result_table, but at the end no values were on the cube;
have you some idea to fill these two key figures as said?

Did anyone face the problem with standard code in updating 0imfa_1 from 0co_om_opa_1, in which it seems to fill field to field using structure g and g_s_kb and then table g_t_kb?
Is it possibile to modify code as to fill new key figures?

Hi,
0METYPE is a key figure-specific info object usually used to define semantics of the individual business key figures in BW (for example, actual, commitment, plan, target values).
Its a bi specific field which is filled from extract structure field named MEASTYPE table COSR

This note provides information on the key figure model in the area of BW Content CO-OM. It also gives an overview of the DataSources for transaction data and the corresponding source tables and value fields in the R/3 System.
The key figure model for currency fields in the area of CO-OM contents affects the following info object of type key figure:
0AMOUNT Amount
The key figure itself does have any business semantics.
The semantics of the individual business key figures in BW (for example, actual, commitment, plan, target values) is determined using combinations of values for the following key figure-specific info objects (see also the account model in SEM-BPS, note 407563):
0METYPE Key figure type
0VTYPE Value type for reporting
--> 0VTDETL Details of the value type
--> 0VTSTAT Statistics indicator for the value type.
For example, using transaction SE16, the possible characteristics of the values of this InfoObject can be taken from the above-mentioned master data tables in R/3.
The business key figures on the InfoCubes of the standard BW content were defined as restricted key figures using this semantics of the key-figure-specific characteristics.
The conversion of the R/3 transaction data in the BW key figure model is carried out in the extractors using the ROMI_GET_VTYPE_AND_DETAIL function module. It primarily happens using the specified conversion tables.
The following dependencies exist for the source tables of the DataSources:
COSP_VTYPE for COSS, COSP, COVP,
COSB_VTYPE for COSB,
BPXX_VTYPE for BPGE, BPJA, BPEE
If an R/3 source record cannot be converted using these tables, it may not be extracted to BW.The application log of the R/3 DataSource transaction RSA3 contains entries for the unconverted values after the test run.(The log function for the CO-OM DataSources was considerably improved by the correction for note 523655).
The application log for the extraction runs from BW can be evaluated using transaction SLG1 (Object: RSAP, object information: RSAP_INFO)
Furthermore, the semantics of a key figure are still determined by the time characteristics and the following key-figure-specific info objects:
0CURTYPE Currency type (for more information, see note 517909),
0DB_CR_IND Debit/credit indicator (for more information, see note 065075),
0VERSION CO version

Disaggregation of Key figure not in proportion at monthly bucket

Dear Expert,
Please find the below case.
Here Key figure 2 is disaggregated based on Key figure 1 (Calculation Type P) also we maintained Time based disaggregation K.
The issue is - if you check total, it is 13 for both key figures as shown in below screen shot.
But region wise (Detail level) if you checked, it is not in 1:1 proportion and it is causing problem for us.
For example Region 2 having value in KF1 as 2 for Week 11.2015 but after disaggregation it got nothing on KF2.
(The reason is Key figure 2 is having value in week 12 and week 13 and nothing in Week 11)
We tried 2 different approach to get 1:1 proportion in Monthly bucket, but it could solve our problem.
Approach 1-After Key figure2 calculated in Weekly bucket, Reset Key figure 2 at total level in Monthly data View and enter the Total of Key figure 2 at Total level in Monthly bucket.Check the result at detailed level.
But in this case it is calculated for week 10, 11, 12 and 13 as 0, 9, 3, 1. (We want Key figure2 as per original calculation i.e it should be 12 and 1 in week 12 and 13 respectively)
Approach2 -
Approach 2 - Add another New Key figure as Key figure 1 Total- which sum the Key figure1 at detailed unit at Month level and then disaggregation of Key figure2 based on this new KF.
Its working for this scenario but different scenario is not working.
For example- here region 3 and 4 affected.
If disaggregation at Month level is corrected, our issue will be resolve.

In Planning Area u2013 Key Figure settings, did you try to use u2018N - No disaggregation in timeu2019 for KF2 key figure ?
This will mean that copying will occur in technical periods of the storage bucket profile and not the way it happens now.
Other option:
Now, you storage bucket profile and also the planning bucket proifile are in Days/Weeks/ .Months
Is it necessary for your user to view data in daily buckets ? Can the user view the data in weekly buckets only (and not in daily buckets) ?
Your planning bucket profile can be in Weeks/..Months .
This way your displayed data will be in weekly buckets.

Key figure display in planning book with respect to Time bucket profile

Hi,
I am loading a key figure to planning area from the info cube for the current month. When I review the key figure in planning book with monthly time bucket profile it shows 85 for the current month. In the same planning book with weekly bucket profile, it shows 55 from the current week and future weeks and the remaining 30 goes into the past weeks of the current month.
How to make the total quantity 85 to show in the current and future weeks only.

Hi Murugesan,
Within the Planning Area, the data is stored at the lowest level granularity that you maintain in storage bucket profile. Then during display, system will decide what data to show depending on what kind of time bucket profile you use in the planning view, and the time based disaggregation that you maintain for Key Figure.
In this below case, what time characteristic do you have in cube? Is it date, week or month?
If it's date, check how much KF data is maintained on the dates which belong to week which has days both in this month/last month e.g. if I talk about Dec 2011, how much data is stored 1,2,3 & 4 th of Dec, 2011.
This data would appear in Dec in monthly view, but in week, it would appear in the week starting 28th November.
If data is maintained in cube in weeks, then you need to calculate how time based disaggregation would show it to you in months.
If it's months, then you would need to find out how much data would go to the days in the past week of the month.
The time based disaggregation may be causing you some issues, but in that case, I would not expect 30 out of 85 to go in the past week, unless you have data in cube in days.
Data shown in weekly view for week starting 28th Nov should ideally be a small proportion of 85, unless you are using a time stream/fiscal year variant, due to which most of December is in holidays. The only other exception I can think of is that you have data in teh days mentioned above.
It would be best to help the business understand this disaggregation logic, rather than thinking of manipulating the data to shift to a later week.
If this logic doesn't explain your situation, then please provide the date/week/month at which you have data in cube, and what quantity.

Copy Key figure data between two planning area with different storage bucket profile

Hi,
I have a DP planning area ' PA1' with monthly storage bucket profile data view 'PA1M' ( monthly TBF) and I want to copy the data to another planning area 'PA2' whose storage bucket is weekly. This would need me to write a custom program which will split monthly to weekly and then populate 'PA2'.
However, In 'PA2', I created two data views 'PA2W' (with weekly time bucket profile) and 'PA2M' (with Monthly Time bucket profile). If I am able to copy the data from PA1 (PA1M) to PA2(PA2M), it will automatically splits monthly to weekly in PA2W.
So my question is if there exists a way I can copy key figure data from PA1M to PA2M? Any BAPI?

You can use COPY/Version Management Function to do this.
Path: Demand Planning > Environment >Copy/ Version Management
The system takes into account only those periodicities that are common to both planning areas.
For example, if the data is saved in months in the source planning area (PA1) but in months and weeks in the target planning area (PA2)
the system copies to months in the target planning area and then Disaggregates the data to the storage buckets in accordance with the Time-based Disaggregation.

Time Buckets with multiple Key Figures in Each

Hello Experts,
I have seen documents creation of ageing buckets and calculations but not seen any document with ageing bucket having multiple Key Figures part of it.
User's have used Excel to create Bucket header and using V and H lookups they are populating data in to those columns. Is there a way we can achieve this in Bex Designer? Below is what needed on report which would give user's overview of Current Week, Previous Week, Last 4 weeks and Last 13 weeks. I have attached Snapshot for better Understanding

How to copy two different key figures in third key figure in different time bucket.

I require to copy one key figure-A for 2 months (M+1 and M+2) in other Key figure C. At the same time, I need to copy key figure-B from 3rd month onwards (M+3 onwards) to same key figure C. Is there any way to do this, please suggest.

In query designer I can see only the first 150.

Hi Thejo,
There is no direct way to do this using another BW query simply because the data is not stored in either Masterdata Info Objects/CUBE ODS. They are stored in BW system tables which are not directly accesible by any queries to build using the Query Builder.
Try to locate the system table that holds these Info (Keyfigures + Query Name) and do ABAP Query instead.

Currency Translation with a Calculate Key Figure

Hi,
Does anyone have experience with applying currency translation in BEX/Query Designer on a Calculated Key Figure?
I have a need for a calculated key figure to be converted to a target currency of USD (which is already defined via RRC1). I also need the Results Row to display the summation in USD.
Currently, my calculated key figure displays two currencies (MYR and USD) and an incorrect summation of both currencies.
Here is how I have defined my calculated key figure:
NODIM ( 'Consumption (STOs)' ) * NDIV0 ( 'Material Source Plant Cost' / NODIM ( 'Source Plant Price Unit' ) )
I am multiplying a quantity field by amount field and then dividing by a price per unit field. I have applied NODIM on the other fields so that the amount field will retain it's properties.
Running this query through transaction RSRT and clicking on the Generate Report button, I get the following message:
"Currency translation cannot be carried out for element 20 (my calculated key figure). Element 20 neither contains a Basic key figure nor a variable with type Amount. For this reason, you cannot and do not need to perform a currency translation."
From the above message, I must be setting my calculated key figure incorrectly.
Any ideas?

Thank-you for your help. I verified that the dimensions of my key figure 'Material Source Plant Cost' was of type 0AMOUNT, so that was not the issue.
The issue was in the error message that was returned when I pressed the Generate Report button in RSRT. Essentially, currency conversions in BEX can only be performed on basic key figures or simple replacement path variables.
I can perform the currency translation on a SIMPLE calculated key figure that contains only the replacement path variable (where 'Material Source Plant Cost' is an attribute of my master data characteristic ZMAT_SRC). However, I found that I cannot perform the currency translation on COMPLEX calculated key figures, like in my example above.
To get around this currency translation issue and as suggested by the error message, I created a SIMPLE calculated key figure for replacement path variable 'Material Source Plant Cost' and performed the currency translation. The problem with this solution is that while I get my currency translation, I also get a calculated key figure that is aggregated, according to the query layout.
To get around the aggregation issue, I also created a dummy counter as a master data attribute (of ZMAT_SRC) to capture the aggregation. I assign a value of 1 to this dummy counter/master data attribute in the update rules to my ZMAT_SRC infoobject.
I then divide my new (aggregated) calculated key figure for 'Material Source Plant Cost' by the dummy counter (which is also aggregated). Essentially, I divided the aggregated replacement path variable by the scaling factor. The result is that I get a new calculated key figure that has been translated into the target currency and in the correct scaling factor. I can use the new calculated key figures in the above formula; regardless of the report is rolled-up.
Again, thanks for your help. It gave me the pieces to solve this puzzle.
