very likely dos2unix is looking for codepage to use, but does not find a keyboard defined;
you can simply ignore if you are satisfied with the us codepage used for translation (suppose 437), or you can change the script so it uses explicitly codepage 437 or 850 (option -437 or -850).
this is not really an error message, but a warning, or informational

  • Hetis 945 No Keyboard Error

I am using a Hetis 945 (MS-6410) Barebone System as an Embedded Print Controller with a Touch Screen Monitor. I get a No Keyboard Error at boot up when no keyboarsd is connected. I can't find any keyborad settings within the Bios (Award Ver 6.00PG). How can I disable the keyboard?

Have a look in BIOS settings, under 'Standard CMOS settings', there is usually a 'Halt On...' option, which you should be able to change to 'No Errors'.

  • Ultra 20M2 Keyboard error

    Hi,
I have been having problems with getting Bloomberg keyboards to work on our Ultra20M2 workstations. At boot, Post screen we are getting the Keyboard error "Press F1 to continue" etc and the keyboard is not responding. Standard Sun keyboard works fine. I have upgraded the bios to 1.45 and still the problem occurs
Seems to be some sort of BIOS related error as is not OS dependant.
    Thanks
    Peter

Yes, U20M2 machines are VERY picky about keyboards. I've been able to get other keyboards to work by unplugging/re-plugging them in at the error, then pressing F1. Very annoying to have to do that everytime the computer boots up, but that's all I've found that works...

  • Keyboard Error on 5192

    Hi,
We have a problem with the serverboard E7320 Master Series (5192).
We can not boot without keyboard.
"Keyboard Error - Press F1 for continue - F2 for Setup"
Its not possible, turn off this error.
The new bios 1.26 (is a 1.23) don't fix that problem.

Once I unplug all the USB's and restart my computer again using the power button, I am able to get past it but am given a "Keyboard Error" message.

  • Open/close keyboard error

Hi, I was wondering if anybody had any experience with an error like this. I have a Labview made Application that is experiencing some conflicts after installation on a Windows 2000 machine. Bare in mind that it has been successfully installed on 2000 machines in the past. The problem is that when the application is run, the user receives a message that reads,"Select sub.vi to open keyboard". I don't believe this refers to a sub vi called "sub.vi" but a sub vi in general. Could there be a conflict with the keyboard drivers? I unfortunately am not a first hand witness, so this is all the info I have. Could a USB keyboard cause errors like this or something?
    Glen D

    Evan,
Thank you for all your suggestions. The exact error messages our customer is receiving are 'Select sub.vi to open keyboard' and 'Select sub.vi to close keyboard'. These errors occur when the exe is tried to run. By no coincidence, two of the vi's in this exe are called "open keyboard.vi" and "close keyboard.vi". This sounds strange to me because I would think the error message would read something more like, " Vi not found. Select 'Open Keyboard.vi'" The actual message implies that LabView knows what the missing vi's do, unless it is some other kind of error.
It also does not make sense to me that these two vi's would go missing on 1 out of who knows how many installations. Is there any possible explaination for that?
    Lastly, an
d somewhat unrelated, at the heart of these vi's is a CIN. How do I review the code of the CIN?
    Thanks again
    Glen D

  • Apple AL wireless keyboard error when pairing

All was well with this keyboard until just recently. I've tried to pair this keyboard with 4 different Macs of mine (all 10.5.4/5) and get the same error over and over:
The pairing attempt was unsuccessful. Make sure your keyboard is in range of this computer, turned on and "discoverable". When ready, click Continue to try again.
Unable to pair with your keyboard. Click Continue to try again.
Took it to the local Mac shop (over 100 miles away) and they got it to work with two of theirs after trying a little bit. Asked me to try again.
As expected, no dice. Same error.
Any suggestions (other than fresh batteries)?
    Thanks

    Hi Glenn:
If the KB will not pair with any of your Macs, I strongly suspect the KB is failing (failed). A 100 mile drive is not a happy thought. Perhaps you can call Applecare (hopefully the KB is in warranty) and have them send you a replacement.

  • How can I handel errors in .ksh file

    Hi All
I am writing a .ksh file which will create FTP a file to the ftp location ..
My file looks like this :-
    cd ${RUNTIME}
    NOW=$(date +"%y%m%d%H%M%S")
    ftp -i -n -v ${TEST_TP_SERVER} <<END
    user $TEST_TP_USER_ID $TEST_TP_USER_PWD
    lcd ${OUTDIR}
    put "TEST.txt" "$NOW.ABC"
    quit
    END
My question is how can I handel errors here in this file . If something happens after cd ${RUNTIME} line then I can write like this :
if [ "$?" -ne "0" ]; then echo "Can not connect , wrong user name / password " exit 1 fi
But after ftp -i -n -v ${TEST_TP_SERVER} <<END line I cant write the same . So can anyone please tell me how can I write error handling part after FTP command ?

Moreover, I need to send that page as a whole by email, so even if the white spaces between parts of picture
could be removed during printing, it wouldn't be a solution =(
You can email the new PDF document.

  • Keyboard error in Solaris 7

    Hi,
    I have a minor error on my Solaris 7 installation;
The keyboard (norwegian 104-keys) works more or less as it should, as I get the norwegian special characters, and what is displayed is correct compared to what is on the keys.
The problem is that I cannot write any of the characters; ~,^,,`, when I am logged in locally via dt.
In addition my mouse (2-button) has its right-button mapped over as a middle-button, which is bothersome when I am using rdesktop to connect to a windows termserver.
    Any solutions?
    Lars

I would go back through kdmconfig (as root) and make sure
you've configured for your mouse and keyboard correctly.

  • Keyboard Error

The physical keyboard on my X1 Carbon running Windows 8.1 has a strange mapping error that just affects the apostrophe key (left of Enter). Single keystroke does nothing. Double keystroke inserts double character. Happens both shifted and unshifted. On screen keyboard works fine. Can anyone suggest a solution? Thanks

    Hi Boxster55,
    Welcome to Lenovo Community!
I am sorry to hear that you are facing the issue with keyboard on ThinkPad X1 Carbon.
Uninstall the keyboard adapter from device manager and check with restarting the system.
Check if the issue is persisting in ‘safe mode’ also.
Have you checked with external keyboard?
    Hope this helps.

  • 10-key White USB Apple Keyboard Error

    Greeting All,
I have a White Apple USB Keyboard (about 3 years-old) that the 10-key has stopped responding to my login ID. Only the 789-456+1230.enter keys are not working. Those above the 789 and to the right of them are working fine. If I login as anyone else on the system - everything works fine. So it doesn't appear to be hardware related.
    Things already tried:
    1. Keyboard/Mouse settings - reset to factory default (used button).
    2. Checked International Keyboard configuration - Only English is selected and the radio button for all use the same configuration is checked.
    3. Created a completely new ID and compared settings to my ID and made changes accordingly - no difference to my ID.
    4. Tried the Clear key trick to "Num Lock" the keys - no change.
What else can I try? In the iMAC forum there was a post about creating a new ID and transferring all info from one ID to the New One, would this be a possibility?
On the UP SIDE of MAC ownership - this thing is GREAT! I've been using it daily for the past three years with this being the first error I've had, probably self inflicted at that. My wife has ditched WinXP for photo editing on the MACmini.
    Thanks for any help provided.
    63FalconGT

    Greetings,
I finally got another keyboard to test with a MacAlly 101 iKeySlim USB. But that didn't fix the problem either. So I went looking for drivers for this keyboard and ran across the following in their FAQ area:
Q: In Mac OS X, Numeric Keypad does not respond?
In Mac OS X, typing numbers using the numeric keypad does not work, but the Key Caps utility indicates that the keys are being pressed. Holding down the Shift key allows the numeric keypad to work correctly. Try the following steps to solve the problem:
    1. Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu.
    2. Choose Universal Access from the View menu.
    3. Click the Mouse tab.
    4. Turn off "Mouse Keys". If Mouse Keys is already off, turn it on and off again.
Note: Mouse Keys could be turned on inadvertently if certain programs (most notably games) make use of the Option key. Pressing Option five times in a row is the keyboard shortcut for turning on Mouse Keys. You can avoid this by deselecting the "Allow Universal Access Shortcuts" checkbox at the bottom of the Universal Access pane.
    This fixed the problem!
    So now I know.

  • Keyboard error message

I am running system 9.2 on a G4 Quicksilver. Keyboard is plugged directly into the minitower and the mouse into the keyboard. I have just started to get a frozen mouse, freeze on startup, or jerky mouse movement -- when I can get it to move I get the error message "The USB devce "Hub in Apple Extended USB Keyboard" cannot operate because it needs more power than is available."
I have three other of these set-ups which are identical and have never seen such a problem. It appears to get hung up on something in startup -- and when it does get past it, then the mouse is nutty. Have run Nortons, hard drive repair, etc. Can't figure it out. There is no other hub (I know the keyboard is considered it's own hub) or usb device on this system. Plugging the mouse in directly to the cpu doesn't solve.
    Help!

    Hi, sstreger -
    Welcome to Apple's Discussions.
The keyboard itself may be defective - try switching the keyboard with one from one of the other machines. If the problem disappears, consider replacing the origianl keyboard.
Some optical mouses apparently have sufficient power draw that it overloads the ability of the unpowered hub in the keyboard to pass it through; I had a keyboard get fried that way. I switched the mouse to the powered hub in my monitor and have not had such a problem since.
Some mouses, particularly the original Apple Pro mouses, have a defect - over time and stress, the wires inside the cable can fray at the point the cable leaves the mouse body. This results in random open and/or short circuits, affecting the USB bus as a whole with resultant odd behavior.

  • Keyboard error jump field to field delete

    Hi
I am using several external keyboards such as Swiftkey or Swipe. And I noticed when I edit
a contact and press the delete key, the cursor delete and jump to the next field instead of staying
    where it should.
Do you noticed the same thing ?
    Thanks

    Hi,
how is your dropdown done? by key/index?
because with an indexed one, none is selected, thus returning a dump when you try to have
an attribute error message (initial selected element).
