Keyboard for apple TV?

any way to use an aplle wirless keyboard, or other brand, with apple tv 2?

i'm not sure?  i would think that as long as you're still on the same network it should work, but i could be wrong.
as for the battery, i run everything wireless and have not seen that issue.  i'm not sure how that app would drain the battery but i guess it's possible.  i was having battery issues in general with the 4s right out of the gate.  i have since adjusted a lot of my settings and am getting much better battery life.

  • Logitech Y-X5A77 BT keyboard for Apple TV 3

I got my PS3 keyboard working with my Apple TV 3.  My question is...  Which key is the equivilent to the "select" button when you are in a movie.  "Enter" is play/pause.  I want to know how to get to the movie menu after you press the up arrow and it say "Hold  select for more"

You see, I'm looking for the Apple Keyboard.
I'm not sure if it works with iPhones, though =(

  • Black keyboard for Apple ID is fraying and discolouring

My black keyboard that is used for in app purchases and when you have to enter your Apple ID password is fraying like a broken television screen. It's jumped around and has green lines going through it. Every other keyboard looks fine. Just started two days ago. Any suggestions?

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

  • Organizer Tray for Apple Wired Keyboard & Magic Trackpad

    Greetings,
I have found several "organizer tray" products online for positioning the Bluetooth keyboard and the Magic Trackpad like a Macbook Pro where the trackpad is just below the keyboard.
I am curious to know if anyone has seen or has a tray that will organize the Apple wired aluminum keyboard with the numeric keypad and the Magic Trackpad.
I find that I'm getting RSI in my fingers and wrist having the trackpad to the right of the keyboard.
    Anyone seen anything?
    Thank-you!
    Derrick

Just found another one; a slightly different configuration and less than half the price: http://www.magiclapdesk.com/magiclapdesk-for-apple-trackpad.html Good luck!

  • Why the **** did apple get rid of the dark keyboard for iOS 7.1?!

Apparently Apple was going to install a dark keyboard for the iPhone, but decided to get rid of it. What the ****! Does anyone know why?

They DIDN't! It's STILL THERE, but at present YOU AREN't allowed to use it! It exists in at least two instances, only one of which I KNOW what I was doing when I stumbled upon it, signing in with my Apple ID and password to the AppStore!
Before I get into details, I suppose it could also be replicated by seeing if one could sign in with a secondary Apple ID on any given device as well..
Details that may be specific to this versus everyone else that made this happen and stand out:
I DID NOT sign in when setting up, because quite frankly, I DON'T "want" my devices, data, bookmarks and such all cloud synchronized and changed so as to be uniform across ALL devices, because it's of NO USE to me! I use diddle rent devices for different things and thus have some set up with just a few bookmarks. Don't WANT home sharing, or sir play and know how to back my own things up.
If this "makes sense to you" or "isn't exactly how that works" IS NOT the issue, I'm simply explaining why for the next part below for possibly replicating this should anyone want proof they can  perhaps do on their device as well.
So when I went to get some other web browsers at the AppStore, I had to sign in, because in general web browsers have Age Restricted Content Warnings.., AND THERE IT WAS! I didn't think quickly enough to screen capture it, but it IS there, as a "secured keyboard" or something TOO SPECIAL FOR YOU!
If this is a "one time thing when you sign in an account", I don't know.
If this is something that a more adventurous person who enabled Developer Options (which I think is done while connected yo a computer and iTunes, Google it if you care) might be able to enable on their own, I don't know.
I just know that I HAVE had it come up at least twice, and that it seems to be "reserved" for a "special purpose keyboard" for some reason.
And the other instance it showed up during was some swiping that I think brought up the app switcher/kill screen with some sort of a search bar. But however that one happened WAS random.
And returning to something a bit less snarling and foam flecked because, as stated, "just all users here"

  • Apple keyboard for windows?

so do any of the apple keyboards work with a PC? for instance if i was to buy an apple wireless keyboard for my pc, windows based laptop, would it work with it?

I have a Dell 410 laptop with built-in bluetooth. I have verified that an Apple USB keyboard works with this machine, at least nominally. The CD eject button does not work, possibly others. Did not try every key, but casual test indicated it was OK. However, the Apple bluetooth wireless keyboard DOES NOT work with this machine (Bluetooth set-up wizard knows an Apple wireless keyboard is out there, but it will not pair with it). I have seen a few references on the Web that indicates some machine/keyboard combinations work, but that is not my experience.
So the answer to your question is that at least one Apple USB keyboard DOES work with at least one PC and the Apple wireless keyboard DOES NOT work with at least one PC.
Only way to be sure is to try it, preferably before spending $$. Many people have this question, but knowledgeable answers are few. I think this is because some combinations appear to work and some do not. Good luck.

  • Apple Wireless Keyboard for Windows Vista

I recently bought an Apple Wireless Keyboard and a Kensington micro USB Bluetooth adapter for my Windows Vista laptop. The initial steps to configure the keyboard were straightforward and I did not run into any problems. Within a few hours after setting things up, I ran into the following problems:
    a) The Apple Wireless Keyboard would disconnect randomly, sometimes mid-typing.
    b) After functioning normally, a key (usually 'f') kept repeating.
The only way to solve both problems was to hold the power button on the side of the keyboard for a few seconds until the power light turned off. Then I had to hold down the power button again to turn it back on and it would automatically reconnect. The keyboard would work fine for a few minutes, only to have the same problems return later. The problems seemed to occur more frequently when I left the keyboard alone and did not use it for a few minutes.
    The Solution
I become quite frustrated and was on the verge of returning the keyboard. As a final effort to fix things, I removed the Bluetooth drivers and reinstalled newer drivers. Here's how I did this:
    1) Go to Start > Control Panel (Classic View) > Keyboard.
    2) In the keyboard menu, select the 'Hardware' tab and select 'HID Keyboard Device'.
    3) Click 'Properties' and then select 'Change Settings' and click 'Continue' at the security prompt.
    4) Select uninstall.
    5) Go back to the Control Panel and go to 'Programs and Features'. Locate the program you installed with your Bluetooth adapter. (Mine was Toshiba Bluetooth Stack. If your computer has built-in Bluetooth, you can probably skip this step.)
    6) Uninstall the Bluetooth program.
    7) Restart the computer.
Hopefully by this point, Windows will prompt you by saying that it has discovered new hardware and is installing the software for it. It should then display a Bluetooth icon in the notification area (bottom-right by clock). Right-click it and select add new device or view connected devices. Then simply run through the steps to connect your keyboard. Make sure you turn on the keyboard before you run through the setup.
After going through this procedure, I have not had any problems. The repeatings keys and disconnections have both subsided. Before playing around with the drivers, I suggest copying the drivers to a safe location or creating a Restore Point so you can always revert your changes.
    Hope everything works out!

    Hello,
I am having the exact problem you were having. Is it possible to apply Apple's new firmware update to the keyboard and have it function with the PC? I called the Applestore, and the sales rep told me that the keyboard did not save the firmware on the keyboard itself. Is this true?
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

  • Apple BT Mouse/Keyboard for PC?

Does anybody know if the bluetooth mouse and keyboard from apple work with pcs, specifically windows xp? I am having problems (something about a pin code) and cannot find any place with good advice. Please help!!!!

yeah, I am having problems too. I get the same pin code message and I can't find any documentation on the Apple site... yet. I seem to recall needing pin codes when I set-up some bluetooth gadgets on my dads cell phone last Christmas. Please post here if you ever track down the default pin codes. Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if it still doesn't work - as the last poster pointed out, the stated system requirements don't include PCs.
None-the-less, I am going to try setting up the keyboard and mouse to my Mac to see if I can dig around for the pin code or anything else that might he usefull .
I'll post here if i figure anything out.

  • How long does an apple wireless keyboard for iPad battery last?

does anyone know how long does an apple keyboard for iPad battery last? Thanks

No.  Once sn iOS version comes out that is not compatible with your hardware, you cannot, obviously, update iOS any longer.  However, your iPad running the last release of iOS compatible with it will continue to run that iOS release at the same speed it always did.
Nothing about any computer ever slows down with age - your cpu, RAM and storage all function at the same speed as they always did.  New software may add features that tax your system more than a newer system would be taxed, but nothing about your system changes just because the device ages.
At some point, our system simply is unable to update or run newer software because that newer or updated software requires hardware features that yours simply does not have.  But your exisiting software on your existing hardware will continue to run just as it always has.
As to when your system becomse unable to handle new software or iOS features, that is purely a matter of how quickly newer hardware comes out and how quickly software developers move to new features that your system cannot handle.
There is no inherent reason to believe that an iPad 4 will not be compatible with the next release of iOS - it might not be, but it may very well be.  Depends entirely on what changes the next release (whenever that may be) introduces, and what new device hardware Apple may be working on.

  • Will Apple add the Cangjie into the Keyboards for Chinese (Traditional)?

So disappointed. How come Apple still haven't added the Cangjie into the Keyboards for Chinese (Traditional)? It is a very popular input method in Hong Kong.
In addition to that, the hand writing recognition for Tradition Chinese is kind of lame. For some real simply characters, I had a hard time to let the software to recognize them at all.
