    Hi,
    JSF having the Component Tree Structure for the JSF elements, it will generate the id's
    if you have n't specified for some of them like view, subView, form, panelGrid, ..etc.
         get the generated html source, get the form name refered, use the respective form id
    like 'subViewDemo:demoForm'.

  • How to get event name in runtime in the method ?

    i  found that there is a &_WORKITEM.OBJECTTYPE.EVENTS.NAME& element in thw workflow contained. then i do a binding from this element to another element with the same type as &_WORKITEM.OBJECTTYPE.EVENTS.NAME&.
       then in the method i use swc_get_element container 'NAME'  name.
      to get the event name in runtime.
      but when i test it in SWUE, it gives error.  If i remove this statement, it is oK
    ANY advice?

    Hello Gang,
    _WORKITEM is a workitem object
    OBJECTTYPE is its type (WORKINGWI for dialog steps)
    EVENTS is a multiline attribute (all events for this type of object: processed, created and deleted in our case /events of WORKINGWI/)
    I don't think that is what you need.
    You got an error, cause you link a multiline element to a single one.
    If you need an access to the TRIGGERING event name, the best is to bind an event name when it is triggered (or e.g. check an event name in the check FM if it is sufficient for your requirement).

  • Getting forms url at runtime

    hi,
    I have the requirement to get at runtime the url that the user entered in the browser window to access he forms application.
    Is that possible? my applications run in a separate window.
    i'm using forms services 10.1.2.3
    thx
    Edited by: miguellima on 04-Mar-2009 11:05

    hi,
    A paramenter i already have. The problem is that some users access the application internally and externally, and the url they use is different. In forms there is no problem, because i do web.show_document using relative addresses. When i call a link from a report i'm not managing to use the same approach, because it puts file:// .
    thx

  • File to idoc how to get file name at runtime

    Hi Experts,
    In my file to idoc scenario,
    the requiremnt is like in mapping i have to give condition like if file name is name1 then one target filed is 40 and if file name is name2 then that target field is 60.
    how can we achieve this ?
    Regards,
    rohit

    Hi Rohit
    mughdha is right but you can do it through graphical mapping easily
    give condition in fix value under category conversion like this
    1) source-> FIX VALUE ->if value is true then map FIX value
    else nothing
    double click on first FIX VALUE function and assign your input values for file (for ex 40 or 60,......) in the key field and in the value field assign TRUE
    if this condition will be true the it willl map second FIX VALUE
    else assign a constant with empty value
    in second fix value assign values (for ex 40 or 60,......) which you have checked in first FIX VALUE function in key field and assign corresponding name which you required in the value field
    hope this will solve your problem

    cemYou could also use AOP to add logging. But really, any sort of injected logging is going to be of limited value, since it's very generic and "this method was called with these parameters"-esque. Explicit logging is a lot more descriptive and useful, particularly to support staff who probably won't know what any particular method does

  • How to get names of all Windows in a Form Application at runtime

    Dear All,
    I want to get the name of all windows in a form module programatically at run time. How to get it?
    Any help or comments will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Best Regards
    Bilal

    Hi Francois Degrelle,
    First of all thanks for the response.
    What if I have no items on a content canvas? In my application, I am using content canvas to hold the Image banner and help text of the current form, having no items at all. I am also using tab canvases to hold all items of form. The tabs are displayed on the content canvas at run time. So the tab canvases acts like frames (In my case).
    Now if I am looping through items, it gives me the list of all of the tab canvases. Whereas the tab canvas always has no window assigned, as it is displayed on content canvas which has that Window which I need. Thus I am unable to get the names of windows in my case through the above stated procedure.
    Another option could be if I can get the name of the content canvas upon which the given tab canvas is displayed?
    Any way to do this or some other way to achieve the use case?
    Any help will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

  • How to get file name of the form attachment?

    Hi,
    is there anybody who is able to help me with the following problem???
    I started my process from Workspace ES and as a first step I attached one locale file (IMG.JPG or IMG.TIF e.g.) as a form attachment. I used "Attachments" bookmark in the Workspace ES.
    I need to get file name of attached file in the process!!!
    I tried to use "getTaskAttachments" component to get file name of form attachment but without success. This component successfully obtained attached file an stored it in the variable (type list, subtype document) but didn't produce all file attribute informations such as basename or Content Type:
    Is there some possibility to obtain file name (including file extension) by using "standard" tools and components of ALC?
    Thanks for your suggestions.

    Hi LekomDev,
    I faced the same situation some time back and this is what I know.
    Based on the file type few of the attributes will or will not be populated. (This is what the official documentation says about Document attributes)
    The file name that you are looking for would mostly be in 'name' attribute of Document object. The 'wsfilename' attribute is the atrribute which gets used to show the file name into Attachments tab of the workspace.
    So, if you are just interested in knowing the filenames then 'name' attribute is the place that you are looking for.
    But if you are trying to solve an issue in which Attachments against a Task isn't showing the filenames properly then you would need to copy the 'name' attribute value into 'wsfilename' attribute and then the Attachmetns against a Task would have the correct names.
    Tip: Use the Record and Playback option of the workbench to inspect the Document variable and you would see all of the values for a Document variable at desired step in your orchestration.
    hope this helps,
    cheers,
    Parth Pandya

  • Can we get the name of fmx file at runtime

    Hi all,
    can we get the name of fmx file which is doing some DML operation on a specific table Can we back track which fmx module has done DML on a specific table. The reason I need this because I've 7 different fmx files which are doing some DML operation on a specific table and these fmx files were used by different users. Not necessarily 1:1 For eg. one user can do DML through 3 different fmx files. So in such case if I want to want to know from which fmx file this DML has take place .How can I achieve that. I know I can get the oracle username through v$session but it will not suffice my needs. I need the name of fmx file also.
    I'm using:
    Forms [32 Bit] Version 10.1.2.0.2 (Production)
    Oracle Database 10g Release 10.2.0.1.0 - Production
    PL/SQL Release 10.2.0.1.0 - Production
    CORE    10.2.0.1.0      Production
    TNS for 32-bit Windows: Version 10.2.0.1.0 - Production
    NLSRTL Version 10.2.0.1.0 - Production
    Any help?
    Warm Regards
    Percy

    Percy,
    For that you can set the Module Field in the V$session in each form by,
    DBMS_APPLICATION_INFO.SET_MODULE(MODULE_NAME => :SYSTEM.CURRENT_FORM, ACTION_NAME => USER);Write this in each form, and then you will get the form name in the V$SESSION's module field with form name.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Manu.

  • How to get the name of the ApplicationServer during runtime

    Within a Servlet or JSP, I'm trying to programmatically get the name of the JVM (AppServer) where the code (war or ear) is deployed and running under.
    (This is like getting "server1" when using WSAD).
    I tried the System, Runtime and Thread approaches with no luck.. any ideas??
    Thanks.
    Example:
    If I have 2 AppServers created: Server1 and Server2
    The ear could be deployed to either, but I want to show to the user if he/she is pointing to Server1 or Server2.

    do you want to get the defined length of the field right.
    i.e
    itab-field1(10) .
    and not the length of the value in the itab.
    one of the ways is to use the following FM
    move: sy-repid to wf_repid  ,
            'INT_OUTPUT' to int_tab_name .
      call function 'REUSE_ALV_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE'
       exporting
         i_program_name              = wf_repid
         i_internal_tabname          = int_tab_name
    *   I_STRUCTURE_NAME             =
    *   I_CLIENT_NEVER_DISPLAY       = 'X'
        i_inclname                   = wf_repid
        i_bypassing_buffer           = 'X'
    *   I_BUFFER_ACTIVE              =
        changing
          ct_fieldcat                  = wf_fld_cat[]
       exceptions
         inconsistent_interface       = 1
         program_error                = 2
         others                       = 3
      if sy-subrc <> 0.
    * MESSAGE ID SY-MSGID TYPE SY-MSGTY NUMBER SY-MSGNO
    *         WITH SY-MSGV1 SY-MSGV2 SY-MSGV3 SY-MSGV4.
      endif.
    which would give you all the field definitions of your itab.

  • Getting the name of the host that the forms server is running on?

    Hi
    I have a very simple question, but can't find a simple answer at the moment.
    Is there something like GET_APPLICATION_PROPERTY within forms 10g that I can use to return the hostname of the machine that the form is running on (i.e. the name of the application server).
    I know that I could use one of the calls to query an appropriate environment variable (COMPUTERNAME on Windows or HOSTNAME on UNIX), but would rather have something that is platform independent if possible.
    Does such a call exist?
    Thanks
    Steve

    If you looked up the "weblogic.management.adminhome",
    home.getMBeanServer() returns the Admin server's mbean server, and
    remoteMBeanServer.getServerName() returns the admin server name... :-)
    thanks,

    I don't follow your reply...
    In the weblogic example for creating connection pools, I first must get the mBean
    Home interface and then call getAdminServer. But must pass the name of the admin
    server, which I don't have. So when you say ServerMBean, are you talking about
    the Managed Server MBean? It can have a different name than the Admin Server.

  • Get weblogic instance name in cluster env.

              Hi, there, how can I get each weblogic instance name in cluster env. in my code?
              thanks.

    If you want the current instance name, it is 'weblogic.Name' I think. If you
              want a list of all instances in the cluster, you can probably find it by browsing
              WebLogic MBeans.
