Keyword expansion for TAPI's

I extended keyword expansion also for TAPI's. The headstart CAPI generator utility and the keyword expansion module were changed such that a revision label is now added to both the TAPI and the CAPI.
The revision label added to the TAPI reflects the version of it's corresponding table in the designer repository whereas the revision label of the CAPI reflects the version of the CAPI PL/SQL Definition in the repository.
The revision label added to the TAPI has the following format :
REVISION_LABEL CONSTANT VARCHAR2(240) := '$revision 1.2$';
The headstart CAPI generator was changed in order to add an input parameter to the CAPI function 'revision' under the name 'p_tapi_or_capi' and is of type varchar2. When called as <CAPI package>.revision ('TAPI') it returnes the revision string of the TAPI (based upon the same table as the CAPI).
When called as <CAPI package>.revision ('CAPI') it returnes the revision string of the CAPI.
Here's how it works :
The headstart CAPI generator creates a CAPI with a modified revision function as described above. The revision function takes an input parameter to return either CAPI or the TAPI revision label.
When called with 'CAPI' it returnes the local REVISION_LABEL string present in the CAPI body. When called with 'TAPI' it returnes the tapi revision label <TAPI package>.REVISION_LABEL. How do these revision labels end up in the TAPI and the CAPI??
The headstart CAPI generator utility was changed to do the following things:
1) It creates a unique key constraint for the table definition under the name 'REVISION_LABEL'.
The unique key constraint is generated without correponding column elements.
The property 'Complete' is set to 'Y'.
The property 'Validate in' is set to 'Server'.
The property 'Error message' is set to '$revision'. (The expansion keyword).
When the table definition is checked in, the error message property of the table definition is
expanded since it contains the keyword '$revision$'. (NOTE : To this end the standard keyword expansion
module was modified!!)
With the additional unqiue key constraint, the TAPI can be generated. It will contain the constant
REVISION_LABEL CONSTANT VARCHAR2(240) := '$revision x.y$' ment as a user error message string to be
raised when the unique key constraint is violated. However the constraint itself will not be generated
for the table since the columns for the constraint are missing. The constraint is not validated in
the client!
2) It adds a line to the CAPI PL/SQL Definition's property 'Private Declaration' wit the following
syntax :
REVISION_LABEL constant varchar2 (20) := '$revision$'; When checked in the keyword will be expanded.
When the CAPI is generated the private declaration will be added to the CAPI body, hence the CAPI will
have a local constant reflecting the revision of the CAPI.
3) The headstart CAPI utility adds a revision function to the CAPI with the additional 'p_tapi_or_capi'
parameter.
Since the changes in the headstart and keyword expansion code are to much to be summoned here, I will make them available for use by mailing them to Oracle.
With kind regards,
Jan Wicherink
NOTE : The headstart CAPI generator changes of course will only work in combination with keyword exapansion!!

Jan,
Well done!
I logged this as Headstart enhancement request 2586375,
though we must find a solution that keeps the old functionality if you don't do keyword expansion.
kind regards,
Sandra

  • Hitting the 32k size limit with Keyword Expansion in packages

    Hi!
I am hitting the 32k size limit with Keyword Expansion (KE). It is hardcoded in the procedure jr_keyword.analyze_mlt.
Are there any plans to get rid of this limit, so package bodies with size > 32000 bytes can be expanded?

Well, I am making progress. With a combination if utl_tcp.get_line() - to trap the header and utl_tcp.get_text - to get the data at 32K chunks - which I then put into a CLOB or VARRAY of VARCHAR2; I can get as much data as is sent.
    The problem now is speed.
It takes over 60 seconds to get 160K (5 32K chunks) of data when I put it into the VARRAY of VARCHAR2, and it takes even longer if I use dbms_lob.write() and dbms_lob.writeappend() to store the data.
Am I doing something wrong? Is there another way?
    Thank You for any Help.

  • Lighttable View mode, Keyword Sets for Import

    1. I'd be nice if we could have some sort of "Lighttable View" mode for the Library module. It would be similar to the Survey Mode, but you can move the photos around on the screen and sort or group them to your liking. E.g., after photographing a demo you could put the shots of the masses in one corner, photos of the police in another etc., the pictures still being double-clickable of course. This way choosing your keepers would become easier I think. It would be nice if Lightroom saved the arrangement, too.
    2. I'd like to see Keyword sets for the Import dialog. E.g. every weekend I need the set "soccer, men's, 2009/2010, AAA league". To have presets like this would make it even easier to work with Lightroom

    Right
    1)
As a professional photographer I need a lighttable as there is one in "Apple´s Aperture".
We need a possibility to arrange photos easily and quiclkly and set a aperture to some of thenm right at the shooting set, to demonstrate the
client how the different photos/locations could be arranged and how they could match together later in the magazine etc.
This is not a toy feature. Apple understood, that it is a feature we need to have to brainstorm
right at the set or at home. And this feature sometimes creates right at the set new ideas or prevent
    failures.
So please Adobe, let there be a "real lighttable" in the next Lightroom version.
Humans just don´t think in grid mode.

  • Can you make a Keyword Collection for entire event library?

    Hello all,
So you make an event, and you can make Keyword Collections for that particular event, such as "WS" or "Person 1" or "Indoors"... But...
What if those keywords apply to other events?
I am making video content for a particular company. I shoot stuff one day import as an event. The only content that I produce is for this company, so you can imagine there are going to be similar themes across mutable events...
As you know this is how it is organized >
    DRIVE
    >2012
    >Event
          >Keyword Collection
This is how I want to get organized>
    DRIVE
    Master Keyword Collection
    >2012
    >Event
         >Keyword Collection
    > Here is an example of how I think It should be
    DRIVE
    "All Interior Shots"
    >2012
      > Event
         >Interior Shots
So can you make a Keyword Collection for entire event library?
Can some one please explain if is this is possible? If not please update!

    Andy,
Yes you can but that feature only works if you are searching a single event (Pretty Cool/Useful), Creating a smart collection based on what you tick off in the dialogue box... You will get an error message if Searching the drive itself:
    LOL
    I did some playing around...
    I created a new event
Then I ran a search, with Keywords ticked off, Ticking off mutable Keyword Collections.
Then dragged the results into my new event.
This in effect created "saved search results" but Final Cut started copying clips to that event folder that was created on my external HD. I was hoping that It would generate alias files...
    I also...
    Created a new project
    Ran the Search with Keywords
Dragged all clips into the project..
This also in effect created  "saved search results" but not really what I was hoping :/

  • Which 8 Gb DDR3L SDRAM expansion for an HP ZBook 14?

    Dear all,
I'm looking for an 8 Gb SDRAM expansion for my ZBook 14 workstation. Model number of the ZBook is F0V18ET, specs are as follows:
    Intel Core i7-4510U (2.0GHz, 4MB), 35.56 cm (14 ") FHD UWVA eDP PSR LED (1920 x 1080), 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3L SDRAM, 256GB SATA SE SSD, AMD FirePro M4100, 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0, webcam, Windows 7 Professional 64
The shop I bought it from sent me an H6Y77AA (or 693374-001) equivalent, which doesn't fit (that one has the small cutout on the connector side on the right, whereas it should be on the left). Below is an image of the installed 8 Gb SDRAM and the expansion slot:
Does anyone know which 8 Gb memory might fit?
    Thanks in advance.
    best regards,
    Joost
    This question was solved.

I can't figure out what you are saying. Here is an image of 693374-001 from google images. This is the same memory as is in your laptop. You just flip it over to make the key hole in the memory slot line up. Am I missing something? All DDR3 laptop memory is physically the same dimensions and keyed the same.

  • What is Keywords Quickgroup for?

As the subject description says, after playing with iPhoto for the first time in ages and really finding it useful, I am hoping someone can tell me what the function 'Quickgroup' in Keywords is for?
    Thanks.

I have not been able to get the quickgroup shortcut keys to work. Am I missing something? A shortcut letter appears when the keyword is moved into the quickgroup section; ok! If I have three keywords starting with the letter S only one of them can have the shortcut letter S, so the shortcut letters are S, C, and E for the keywords Silly, Select, and Scuzzy; still ok! I know that I can change them with the Edit panel.
Now, when I start keying in S I get a dropdown list of all of the S keywords. If I key in C or E I get nothing. I know that I can continue to key in the keyword until I have the unique word in the list, then hit Enter.Or, I can use the arrow key to move down on the list. What are the letters C and E (in my example) good for? The program does not seem to differentiate between the quickgroup and a regular keyword, except that the quickgroup keywords have a meaningless letter attached to them.
David Pogue's book nor iPhoto Help did not help me.
    Thanks for the reply.

  • Can I make iPhoto metadata keywords viewable for my PC friends?

When I export JPEGs from iPhoto 7 and burn them to a CD, they keep all the keywords I have assigned to them as long as I read the CD on a Mac, but if I give the CD to someone using a PC, all the keywords are gone. I've read somewhere that Apple doesn't use conventional IPTC metadata. Is there some magic program that will allow a PC to see my keywords? I've tried Graphic Converter, but can't seem to find the right formula of checkboxes in their GUI to make this happen. Any and all ideas welcome from everyone! Thanks.

    Joseph:
Are you selecting the export option to include the keyword and title when you export the photos to a folder on the desktop before burning to disk?
If you're using the Share->Burn menu option in iPhoto that's not the way to create a disk for use by PCs. Use the File->Export->File Export menu option. Set the Kind to jpeg, Quality to whatever you need, Size to whatever you need, check the checkbox to include keyword and title, File name whatever you need or give them new file names. That will give you new files with ITPC standard keyword and description and title fields filled in by iPhoto.
The window will look like this.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Multiple Keyword Sets (For Multiple Databases)

I work with several different Lightroom databases and it would be nice to be able to have separate sets of keywords that go with each database.
In my specific case, I use one database for my personal photographic endeavors and another for an image library for our church. The keywords tags used for my Nature photography images and the tags used for the event photography shots for church are very different. Hence, there are lots of keywords in both libraries that have zero images attached to them.
It would be very useful in you could allow multiple keyword sets to track with multiple databases.

  • Mac Pro setup and expansions for Pro Audio applications? Help please...!

    Hello everyone.
I want to buy an 8 core mac pro mainly for professional audio applications (Logic, plugins etc) and I have a few questions about upgrading and expansion.
    1. Since Logic is a 32 bit application and can only address up to 4GB of RAM, does it worth upgrading to 16GB or should I spend the money upgrading the processors?
    2. I've noticed that the Mac Pro has three (excluding the graphics card slot) full length PCI Express slots. Can I install a PCIe card with the shorter connectors? (like this UAD-2 DSP card: http://www.uaudio.com/products/uad/uad2quadomni/index.html)
    3. Can the Mac Pro handle hard disk drives with capacity grater than 1TB and HDDs with speeds grater than 7200 rpm internally? If yes, why Apple doesn't have these options within the Apple Store?
I know that my questions may be a bit silly but since this is a big investment I would like to get everything right.
Any help and advice would be very much appreciated...

Windows 32-bit I have some bookmarked articles, but each app/process has its own 2GB address space and uses page and swap a lot more than Mac.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/64-bit
Free memory doesn't sit idle or go to waste, even Vista/7 will cache 3-4GB to improve system performance. And it isn't released until or unless freed, not fixed or locked and someone else requests more. Mac OS and Mac Pro especially need more memory, and it does show benefits.
A lot depends on how well written software is to take full and proper advantage. And that is ongoing.
Snow Leopard takes a step further into 64-bit, the first time that 64-bit drivers have been attempted. Big review of Snow Leo:

  • How to make a fairly simple keyword structure for a amateur shooter?

    Hi,
I am trying to find a clever way of keywording my images, and have found the hierarchy that comes standard with Aperture to be unsuitable for my needs.
I was hoping to share some ideas on how to build a suitable general structure for someone (amateur) that may end up shooting pictures of almost anything. Once again - I am looking for a fairly simple structure that I might actually end up using and not the pro huge hierarchies that some pro shooters use.
So far, I have identified 3 main questions that I think keywords should answer:
    1. What (description of situation)
    2. Where (location, as spesific as possible, even if some off my photos has got gps data in them)
    3. Who (names, but also classified into family, friends, collegues, anonymous)
Elabourating on this list, the next branch could perhaps be:
    1.What
    1.1
    1.2 ?
    1.3 ?
    1.4 ...
Some ideas on categories here are: Work/Leisure, arts/crafts,
    2. Where
    2.1 Country
    2.2 County
    2.3 District
    2.4 Place/location
    3. Who
    3.1 Family
    3.2 Friends
    3.3 Collegues
    3.4 Anonymous
I would love input on this topic and I would also like the hierarchy be expandable.
Would also love to know where I can find more information on this topic for amateurs like myself.
    Best regards,
    Kjell Are Refsvik

An intensity graph is just a 2D array. All you need is initialize a 2D integer array of sufficient size and keep it in a shift register. Increment elements based on the xy coordinates.
For some ideas, have a look at this old example.

  • Keyword tags for imported iPhone photos disappeared from LR5.7 catalog under OS 10.10.1Yosemite.

I am using LR 5.7 on a Mac OS 10.10.1 with a Time Machine backup - the vast majority of my photos were taken on an iPhone 5 in the year 2014 and are in a folder on my computer internal hard drive.
The structure is my Folders > Macintosh HD which has a folder inside called
Pictures Users/myname with 1719 photos in it -
when I click on this folder the following folders open up:
    > folder dated 1904(?) with 2 items
    > folder dated 2012 with 1 item
    > folder dated 2013 with 1 item
    > folder dated 2014 with 1352 items...
    .... and so on until
    >Exported Original Photos 365 (which are exports of photos from iPhoto that I wanted to catalog and develop in LR)
The Maths are correct. But as for the tags:
when I open the folder Pictures Users/myname containing 1719 photos and view them as thumbnails I see all the keywording applied to my collection of photos
BUT when I open the folder Pictures - Users/myname and then folder 2014, I see a list:
    folder 2014 with 199 items
    folder 2014-01-20 with 1 item
    folder 2014-01-21 with 5 items
    etc
    All well and good.
BUT if I open these dated folders with small numbers of images in them (never more than 50 per day), view the images in a grid and click on a photo, there are no keyboard tags to be seen in the information panel. They only time I see any keyword tags that I have entered is when I open Macintosh HD > Pictures - Users/myname which contains my entire library of photos taken in 2014 and those added to the catalog from iPhoto.
Should I see tags for the photos in the individually dated folders e.g. Macintosh HD > Pictures - Users/myname > 2014 > 2014-01-20 and so on day by day ?
I have been tagging my photos with keywords after my weekly import. And have been doing this after viewing each photo from the grid view of photos displayed by clicking on  Macintosh HD >Pictures - Users/myname.
    Have I made an error?
I want to tag my collection of photos by the correct method before it grows in size.
    Many thanks
    David (Brighton, UK)

    Hi,
I moused down on the "+" sign where it says Folders and "show photos in subfolders" was shown as already being "on".
I followed your suggestion:  I tried to keyword the photo in Macintosh HD/Pictures - Users/myname/folder 2014-01-20 with 1 item however it did not permit me to type in a keyword in the keyboarding section panel on the left hand side, so I was unable to check if it stuck.
I don't know whether this is important or not, but the list of folders, subfolders etc have slightly different arrow heads:
If I drop down the Macintosh HD location there is a SOLID, grey downward pointing arrow to the left hand side of the folder Pictures - Users/myname/..
However, if you drop down folders from Macintosh HD > Pictures - Users/myname/.. to show inner folders:
Macintosh HD> Pictures - Users/myname/... > folders dated 2014-01-20 etc., then there is a horizontal triangle that is made up of grey dots rather than a solid triangle for every dated folder - is this as expected?

  • The best permanent storage expansion for MBA 2011

    Hi All,
I am a rookie in MAC, just gotten a MBA mid 2011, kinda regret i should have switch to MAC earlier..
I would say even 256 GB ssd is kind of burdensome sotrage constraint whenver trying to copy huge filesize document, i have been scannign through the forum regarding storage expansion option, well,  knowing the the SD card slot is not a full depth slot really turn me off (where, half of the SD card will always extruded from the slot). really looking at the Lexas x133 128 GB..
apart from SD card, anyone has any suggestion which way is the best option to increase the storage? i have come across some very tiny USB fresh drive, but dunno what is the capacity of them...

A great source of storage for Mac products is Other World Computing (OWC), www.macsales.com
They specialize in Macs and have a great reputation and warranty.
Their external hard drives, like the Mercury Elite Pro series, are fast and very easy to setup.
I have the 2 TB and it works great.

  • Keyword limit for snippets in bridge?

    Hi
I am trying to set up a library in Bridge of Indesign Snippets, but have problems adding more than 3 keywords to a snippet. If I add a fourth keyword a dialog informs me that there was a problem writing metadata to the file. The problem occurs on local files as well as those on a network. I have checked the writing permissions and they seem to be okay. I have no problems adding more than 3 keywords to other types of files. Is there a keyword limit when using snippets or can someone out there suggest a solution? I'm on a swedish system (Adobe CS 5.5), so if someone can check if the problem occurs on english versions I'll be forever grateful.
    Kindly
    /Tomas in Stockholm

I'm on a swedish system (Adobe CS 5.5), so if someone can check if the problem occurs on english versions I'll be forever grateful.
Using an English language CS5 on Dutch OSX it also does not work for more then 3 keywords. Also adding info in description field IPTC for metadata does not accept data.
Without having experience with snippets I believe it has something to do with the code for Snippets. Check this thread out I found in Google, they talk about INX files:
