Killers scripts in databse not impacting in OBIEE - URGENT

We are enabling session killer scripts in database to kill the long running sessions (running more than 60 min), database script is killing those sessions however OBI reports/sessions are still running and it’s creating new sessions in database. However when we cancel sessions from OBI, sessions is closed / disappearing in database.
Could you help us to understand why OBI sessions are still running, even after sessions are killing it from database?

I am new to OBIEE and as far as I know we could cancel the long running sessions only manually. How do we automatically cancel those those sessions. Does OBIEE has built in feature for the same. If so could you suggest the procedure.

BI content server(11.1.1.1) is not starting in obiee 11g after making OBIEE 11g services as windows service.
Services are starting when we do a Start BI Services from All Programs >> OBIEE. On the contrary, when we start from windows service "bi content server(11.1.1.1) not starting in obiee 11g" is not starting.

Below is the BI Script I used. Everything is in this script so no need to edit the installsvc file. Just edit the location/variables used as well as at the bottom change the name of the script and the log location. The BI_ORACLE_HOME variable needs to be set in the script.

Enabling Global Script Protection is not working while adding "&"

Hi All,
To prevent crosssite scripting attacks I ticked the the check box "Enable Global Script Protection" in CF admin. But it is not working , I mean not able to prevent the scripting attacks.
Steps I followed
1] I executed the below URL.
https://xyz.abc.com/index.cfm?cardholder_number=&<script>alert(1)</script>
2] In the fornt end I got a javascript alert message as injected in the URL.
But this alert message should not come as I have enabled script protection in CF admin. Right????
Now I removed "&" (https://xyz.abc.com/index.cfm?cardholder_number=<script>alert(1)</script>) from the above URL then I was not getting the javascript alert message. Does this mean that script protection will not work if we are adding "&" to the URL????.
I searched the neo-security.xml and its looks like below.

The special nature of '&' as delimiter is what prompts the browser to run the script. In fact, by default, browsers will run any Javascript that you place in the query-string. Run this, for example

But what reason will I say if they are asking me why javascript alert is coming then.
As you have just seen, the <script> tag cannot come in. The alert occurs at the browser - that is, at the client - but Coldfusion runs at the server. Communication between client and server is by means of the URL variables that the client sends to the server. For the attack to be effective, it has to be sent in the form
sneakyVar=<script>alert(1)</script>
That is not the case here.

Scripting.aex could not be loaded error

I recently had a hard drive failure but managed to save everything onto a new drive. All Creative Cloud program work except After Effects which gives me this error upon startup: "After Effects Error: plug-in "scripting.aex" could not be loaded (126)." Do I need to uninstall and re-install AE cc?

Based on the extremely limited amount of information in your post (you haven't even told us what operating system your computer has), I would say yes. That seems like a reasonable step.

Script Node: Node not supported on current target

Hi,
I'm trying to export a program that involves the use of MATLAB script nodes onto the CompactRiO. The script nodes do not use toolboxes, except those installed on the host computer. However, everytime I try to build it, it gives me an error in which it says:
Script Node: Node not supported on current target
I was under the impression that you could upload MATLAB script nodes to the RiO as long as it doesn't contain code that MATLAB uses for it's tooboxes. Can someone give me an explanation of how exporting programs, involving the use of MATLAB script nodes, to a CompactRiO would work or if it would work at all?

There are two different script nodes I think you are confusing:
The MATLAB script node passes your m code to a locally installed copy of MATLAB for execution. This will only work on desktop computers with both LabVIEW and MATLAB installed.
The MathScript RT Node executes your m code natively in LabVIEW. This node can be deployed to real-time targets (such as the CompactRIO) and does not require MATLAB to be installed but does require the MathScript RT Module to be installed on your development machine.
Your implementation is using the MATLAB script node and your expectations are consistent with the MathScript RT node.

Is anything missing from my Xtras folder?

names in the
list and it is not a check box. It's probably before the
actual checkbox
member in the cast so it's finding it first.

Web Template not impacted after query changed and Transported

Hi. All.
                    We have modified the query and transported to production But query changes not been
impacted on Standard web teplate. But it works fine in Bex Analyzer.
                   Issue is there was a description was truncated earlier we used initially as short description.
Later we mapped to Medium description and modified the entire flow and loaded. It works fine.
                  Only in production we are not seeing correct description in web report and it works fine with Analyzer. So we need to ask the user as after executing the report he needs to change characterstic property from Standard to Medium.
But it would be bit inconvenience to users.
            So how can we solve this problem and why the query changes are not impacting on Web template.
Please provide your views on this issue.

Hi Vijay,
one reason might be if you use the option "personalization" within the web template. If users can personalize the templates changes will not be visible and have to be deleted at the time a new version of the query is provided. There are background tables for the personalization as well where you can delete all objects for this template at once if necessary.

Script error property not found

I have a script that get a list of choosen check boxes, it
was working fine but now when i press the button that calls the
script i get a error saying "script error property not found" then
it lists the line i have put a * next to and says #hilite
This is the top part of that script and to my knowlegde i
have not chnaged any of it and it worked before but now it does
not, i also use a script almost identical to this but use it for
radiobuttons instead and the line is the same in that and that
script works, can anybody tell me what as gone wrong?

Script cast member not found

Can anyone tell me why the %^$& I get a "script cast
member not found"
error?
I've been working in Director for 17 years and I get this
from time to time.
I generally just copy the code from the behavior, paste it
into a new
behavior, name the new one the same as the old on, then copy
the new cast
member over the old one and it solves it. But it happened
rarely enough
that I didn't bother questioning why. I know it's not a
syntax error
because the code runs fine after the above process. But it
does only
happens when I've made a change to the code in that behavior.
Now I'm working with a simple movie with one parent script
and a
prepareMovie handler that instantiates one child object and
I'm getting this
darn error all the time. My above solution isn't working
anymore. The
error points to the first line of a particular handler. That
first line was
a comment. So I got rid of the comment and the new first line
of the
handler is code and the error points to it. If you see where
I'm headding,
no matter how many lines of "errored" code I get rid of the
error alert will
always point to the first line of that handler.
I'm sure many have seen this because it's happened in almost
every version
of Director I've owned. And by the way, I'm in MX on a PC.

Dean, I might do that. No, this has been going on long enough
that I sure
it's not any definable user error.
But, I did, after all of these years, discover something last
night. In one
case, I did get a legitimate script error that I fixed. When
I ran the
project again, I received the same script error, even though
it was a simple
fix and I was sure I corrected it. I recompiled several times
and ran it
again and received the error again. Then it dawned on me that
since parent
scripts remain in memory until disposed of, Director must
have been, for
some reason, referring to the old parent script. I had
already set the
object's global variable to 0 in my stopMovie handler and
even though that
handler might not always run when errors occur, I ran it from
the message
window to insure that the object's global was 0. But that
still didn't
solve the problem. Then I used clearGlobals in the message
window and
voila, the issue went away. Dare I say that this is a
shortcoming of
Lingo's design to allow variables to persist/linger after an
error?
But what still baffles me is that most of the time when I get
that
particular error,, even though I seemed to have found a
workaround, it is
not an actual issue with any code.
When it happens again, I'll send you the code. Obviously, if
I'm correct
about the scripts lingering in memory, then you won't receive
the error when
you run the movie.
I just find it interesting that there haven't been a bunch of
"Yeah, I get
that darn thing too" here.

Because Executables are available only in Control Flow. Script Task is a control flow component whreas Script Component is a data flow component. It works on data buffer and rows and not on executables.
