KM - Error setting metada in the presentation

Hi experts,
We are developing the Knowledge Bank in SAP Netweaver portal. We have config the metadata in the system configuration. The metadata works fine - can upload, tagging. But the problem is, it has error when we try to set the presentation. We are using consumer table layout set but we are unable to save the presentation. The error only happens at 2 metadata only. The rest of the metadata has no problem to display in the presentation. Please help.
Thanks,
Nanie

Hi,
You can open any process in an iview which is assigned to a page and to a role. Once you click on this role, the process will get initiated and the webdynpro application will be displayed.
If you open the instantiating url, it will ask for the input parameters that are to be passed to the application and initiates the application. It does not display your webdynpro page.
For the iview you have created, Assign this iview to a page, and then assign it to a role. Assign the role to your user id and then open the role. Also mention in the iview parameters if any role based information has to be passed.
Award points if helpful.
Regards,
Sujana

  • Error setting FSS as the scheduler

    Hi,
I'm getting an error setting FSS as the default scheduler and it's not listed as a configured class from dispadmin on Solaris 10. Here is the error:

I've installed the SUNWfss package and all the necessary zone packages but no luck. I'm not sure what install cluster was originally used to setup the server so it could be missing some other packages that is causing this to fail. Anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this issue?
    Thanks in advance,

  • ERROR: Set J2EE_HOME to the path of a valid j2sdkee. (please help....)

    Hi all,
    I just installed jdk1.3.1 & j2sdkee1.3 on Win 95.
Then in order to start the J2EE server I executed these in a DOS prompt, I am getting this error...
    C:\> Set path=c:\J2sdkee1.3\bin;C:\Jdk1.3.1\bin;C:\Jdk1.3.1\Jre\lib;%path%;
    C:\> Set J2EE_CLASSPATH=C:\JDK1.3.1\lib;
    C:\> J2EE_HOME=C:\J2SDKEE1.3\bin

    C:\CD J2SDKEE1.3\BIN > j2ee -verbose
ERROR: Set J2EE_HOME to the path of a valid j2sdkee.
    C:\j2sdkee1.3\bin>
My userconfig.bat file is like this.
rem J2EE_CLASSPATH is appended to the classpath referenced by the EJB server.
rem J2EE_CLASSPATH must include the location of the JDBC driver classes
rem (except for the Cloudscape driver shipped with this release).
rem Each directory is delimited by a semicolon.
    rem
    set J2EE_CLASSPATH=c:j2sdkee1.3\lib\j2ee.jar
    rem
rem JAVA_HOME refers to the directory where the Java(tm) 2 SDK
rem Standard Edition software is installed.
    rem
    set JAVA_HOME=C:\JDK1.3.1
    rem
Please guide me as what to do to run J2ee server.
    Thx for any help.

  • Error Message when emailing a Presentation within PowerPoint 2007

I have a user that is having issues when trying to email a Document/Presentation within the MS application. The user goes to Office Button>Send>Email and Receives :"An error occured while sending the presentation". I have completed a MS Office repair
and have even uninstalled and reistalled the suite.
Any other tips to get this issue resolved?

    Hello,
I have a couple follow up questions that might help narrow down the issue.
    1. Do you see this error message with all PowerPoint files?
    2. Does Send | Email work with any other Office application?
    3. What is your default email client?
    4. If you click Start | Run | and type "mailto:" and press Ok, what happens?

  • Error setting language

I want to translate UI elements of a view in WD Component. When i open the automatically created <View>.wdview.xlf i do get an error "Error setting language". The same happens when i do copy the file to e.g. <View>.wdview_en.xlf.  on the controller or the messages does not result in the error.. Its just the view.
    Thanks,

    Ivo,
I got the same problem today. I had a character in French and Japaneese translation and a bullet symbol in English which Java fails to convert to u- sequences. As soon as I replaced them, the problem went away.
    Thanks,
    Leonid

File / Save as is selected, an error message comes up stating, "An error occurred while opening the file dialog. Please save your presentation, exit, and restart PowerPoint." This is an intermittent issue and also
affects Excel 2013. I have tried repairing it, done windows update and also uninstalled and reinstalled but no luck. I have researched this issue but it relates to Office 2007 and 2010 and the resolution does not support 2013.
Has anyone come across this issue? If so how did you resolve it?
    Many thanks….

    Hi,
You mentioned you tried some steps but I'm not sure what they are, you may try my suggestion to resolve this issue, follow these steps:
    Click Start, right-click Computer, click
Properties, and then click Advanced system settings.
On the Advanced tab, click Environment Variables.
Locate and select the __COMPAT_LAYER variable, and then click Edit.
Set the value of the __COMPAT_LAYER variable to EnableThemes. Or, delete the __COMPAT_LAYER variable.
If the issue persists, we can troubleshoot this problem in Clean Boot to determine whether background programs are interfering with PowerPoint:

  • "Message from Webpage (error) There was an error in the browser while setting properties into the page HTML, possibly due to invalid URLs or other values. Please try again or use different property values."

I created a site column at the root of my site and I have publishing turned on.  I selected the Hyperlink with formatting and constraints for publishing.
I went to my subsite and added the column.  The request was to have "Open in new tab" for their hyperlinks.  I was able to get the column to be added and yesterday we added items without a problem.
The problem arose when, today, a user told me that he could not edit the hyperlink.  He has modify / delete permissions on this list.
He would edit the item, in a custom list, and click on the address "click to add a new hyperlink" and then he would get the error below after succesfully putting in the Selected URL (http://www.xxxxxx.com), Open
Link in New Window checkbox, the Display Text, and Tooltip:
"Message from Webpage  There was an error in the browser while setting properties into the page HTML, possibly due to invalid URLs or other values. Please try again or use different property values."

The farm is running SharePoint 2010 SP2 Enterprise Edition August 2013 CU Mark 2, 14.0.7106.5002
and I saw in another post, below with someone who had a similar problem and the IISreset fixed it, as did this problem.  I wonder if this is resolved in the latest updated CU of SharePoint, the April 2014 CU?
Summary from this link below: Comment out, below, in AssetPickers.js

    perform IISReset

Again, if I update my SharePoint 2010 farm to April 2014 CU is this going to resolve the issue I have?
I don't mind changing the JS file, however I'd like to know / see if there is anything official regarding this instead of my having to change files.
    Thank you!

We had the same issue after applying the SP2 & August CU. we open the case with MSFT and get the same resolution as you mentioned.
I blog about this issue and having the office reference.
Later MSFT release the Hotfix for this on December 10, 2013 which i am 100% positive should be part of future CUs.
So if you apply the April CU then you will be fine.

I keep getting an error message that says "The administrator has set policies to prevent this installation" when I try to install iTunes.  I have tried everything on the website.  When i try to remove the components of iTunes I get the same message.  How can I download iTunes?

Let's try something relatively simple. Download and save a copy of the installer to your hard drive (don't run the install on line and don't start the install just yet):
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Now right-click on the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) that you downloaded and select "Run as administrator".
Does that go through any better for you?

  • Workflow Error Message: System Account - The Workflow could not set Content Approval Status

This is the first time I try an approval workflow. I am using a template in MS Word and assigned an approval workflow to it. The approval workflow is only going to one person in this case.
When I start the work flow the following 3 error messages show up:
Workflow Error Message: System Account - The Workflow could not set Content Approval Status. Enable content moderation for this list and run the workflow again.
Workflow Error Message: System Account - The e-mail message cannot be sent. Make sure the e-mail has a valid recipient.
Workflow Error Message: System Account - The e-mail message cannot be sent. Make sure the outgoing e-mail settings for the server are configured correctly.
Thank you for your kind guidance.

    Hi,
For the first error: Did you set Content Approval in the workflow?  If so, see if you have it in the versioning settings of the list settings.
For the second error: double check your recipient is set up as being valid.  Did you type in the email address or is it referring to a people picker field?  also, make sure that in the workflow for the email that you actually populated it in the
    To: field.
for the third error: I suspect that either your farm is not configured for email.  Or, this error is a knock on from the second error.  If you get the second error rectified it may clear this error.  If not then double check the email settings
    for your farm.

By internal, I assume you're referring to your systems (boot) drive. Is it, by chance, a partitioned dive?
Also…although many people successfully use their systems drives as scratch disks, over time you'll have better results using a dedicated drive for your media.
    Good luck.

When opening iTunes, I get the following error message: "The registry setting used by the iTunes drivers for importing an burning CDs and DVDs are missing.  This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software.  Please reinstall iTunes."
I have reinstalled iTunes twice and still get the message.
    Any clues??
    Thank you.

I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)

I only synch and do not stream off of my 1st Gen AppleTV
I will try with ethernet but will be a pain in the butt if i can not fix it with wifi for long term fix
I may end up trying to do a named IP address vs DHCP for this appleTV (not sure if i can do both and do not want to remove DHCP as i have a bunch of sensors and other devices that I prefer to dynamically add to the network via DHCP vs. assign each one
Will keep working on other fix options (factory reset, etc.)
